The Bandelin SONOREX DIGITEC DT 1058 M is the 46-litre bath in the range without a heater. Accessories include the K 29 EM insert basket and the KT 57 and KT 57 Z basket supports. 16 vibration systems generate a peak power of 2,400 W at 35 kHz; the tank measures 600 x 400 mm.

Tank and dimensions

The tank is made of 2.0 mm thick welded 1.4404 stainless steel and measures 600 x 400 x 200/220 mm internally. The total capacity is 46.0 l, the working capacity is 23.0 l, and there is a fill level mark. Externally, the unit measures 670 x 470 x 400 mm; the housing is made of 1.4301 stainless steel. The drain is a G ¾ ball valve with a 75 cm hose on the right-hand side; the handles are located on the sides.

Without heating

The DT 1058 M has no heating element. The ultrasonic waves heat the bath liquid during operation; there is no temperature preselection. The current consumption is 2.7 A at 230 V. For those wishing to preheat the liquid, the SONOREX DIGITEC DT 1028 CH (45 l, 1,450 W heater) offers a heated bath of a similar size, whilst the DT 1050 CH, with a capacity of 90 l, provides a larger option.

Ultrasound, functions, timer

The 16 vibration systems deliver a peak power of 2,400 W and a rated power of 600 W. SweepTec prevents standing waves in the ultrasonic field; the DEGAS rapid degassing function is activated at the start of the cleaning process, whilst the pulse function complements both. The timer operates in the following settings: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15 and 30 minutes (± 5 %) or in continuous operation. The bath switches off 12 hours after the last button press. The unit operates on 230 V.

Accessories for instrument baskets

The K 29 EM stainless steel basket (470 x 240 x 45 mm, mesh size 4 x 4 mm, payload up to 10 kg) is designed for standard instruments and is placed in the basket holder KT 57 or the basket holder with handles KT 57 Z. These holders also accommodate a 1/1 DIN basket or an ISO basket. In addition, there is the lid D 1058 M, the film test frame FT 37 with film inserts FL 40 and the silicone studded mat SM 29 in a pack of two.

The DT 1028 H has a capacity of 28 l and a 1,300 W heater, whilst the DT 1058 M has a capacity of 46 l without a heater. The K 29 EM insert basket is part of the accessory range for both models.
