Nabertherm Chamber Furnace LH 30/12/B500, 30 l, Tmax 1,200 °C, Brick Insulation, LH0322NKNE
The Nabertherm chamber furnace LH 30/12 is the smallest model of the brick insulated LH series carried by LT Laborhandel and provides 30 litres of usable space at Tmax 1,200 °C. Five sides of the furnace chamber are heated, the heating elements sit on support tubes and radiate freely, behind them sits a multi layer insulation of lightweight firebricks with special rear insulation.Construction and doorThe housing is double walled, made of textured stainless steel sheet, this keeps the external temperature low and gives the furnace stability. As standard, the door seals brick on brick, hand ground, and is therefore the standard design of this model. In the floor, a recessed SiC plate protects the floor heating and provides a level stacking surface for the charge. Inside, the usable space measures 320 x 320 x 320 mm, externally the LH 30/12 measures around 710 x 930 x 1,290 mm depending on additional equipment, the weight is 200 kg.Controller B500 and connectionThe controller B500 is mounted in the furnace door and can be removed for operation. It stores five programs of four segments each via touch operation. The LH 30/12 is connected three phase, whereby the heating itself works only between two phases, and draws 7 kW while doing so. A motor driven exhaust flap and a continuously adjustable air inlet slide in the furnace floor regulate the airflow during the process. The installed heating power is generously sized and enables short heating times.Insulation and ceiling archFor this series, Nabertherm uses exclusively insulation materials without classification under the CLP Regulation (EG) Nr. 1272/2008. A self supporting ceiling arch gives the furnace chamber additional stability and protects against dust ingress from above. As over-temperature protection for furnace and charge, an adjustable temperature limiter with adjustable cut-off temperature can be ordered as a factory option.Selection guideIf 30 litres are not enough, LT Laborhandel carries two larger versions of the same temperature class with the LH 120/12 and the LH 216/12. The LH 120/12 offers a connected load of 12 kW at four times the usable volume of 120 litres and weighs a good two times as much at 410 kg, the LH 216/12 reaches 20 kW and 470 kg at 216 litres. If a higher final temperature than 1,200 °C is needed, the LH 30/14 is available as the same size variant up to 1,400 °C, it also weighs 200 kg and has a connected load that is 3 kW higher at 10 kW. Those looking for a fibre insulation with shorter heating and cooling times will find it in this size as the LF 30/13 up to 1,300 °C or as the LF 30/14 up to 1,400 °C, an LF version up to 1,200 °C does not exist.Typical applicationsWith the weighing device available as a factory option, the LH 30/12 can be set up for loss on ignition determinations. Via a protective gas connection, the furnace chamber can be purged with non-flammable process gases, an optional cooling system cools the furnace with a predefined temperature gradient or a fixed set fresh air volume.Technical detailsTmax1,200 °CUsable volume30 lInternal dimensions (W x D x H)320 x 320 x 320 mmExternal dimensions (W x D x H)approx. 710 x 930 x 1,290 mm (varies with additional equipment)Connected load7 kWElectrical connectionthree phase (heating only between two phases)Weight200 kgHeatingfive sided, heating elements on support tubesInsulationlightweight firebricks, multiple layers with rear insulationDoorfixed door, brick on brick sealControllerB500, touch operation, 5 programs of 4 segments eachOther models in the seriesIn the 1,200 °C temperature class, Nabertherm builds the brick insulated chamber furnace LH in five sizes from 15 to 216 litres.ModelVolumeTmaxLH 15/12 (on request)15 l1,200 °CLH 30/12 (this page)30 l1,200 °CLH 60/12 (on request)60 l1,200 °CLH 120/12120 l1,200 °CLH 216/12216 l1,200 °CScope of delivery1x Nabertherm chamber furnace LH 30/12 with standard controller B500StandRegulatory informationThe device is an electrical appliance within the meaning of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). For the lift door variant LT 9/13, 350 mm are added to the external dimensions when the door is open.Connection and heating timeThe L 9/13 runs single phase with a connected load of 3.3 kW. Empty and closed, it reaches Tmax minus 100 K, that is 1,200 °C, in around 60 minutes. The heating is switched via solid state relays and therefore runs quietly.Controller B510The L 9/13 is operated via the touch controller B510 with five storable programs of four segments each, so temperature programs for different samples can be created in advance and recalled. NTLog Basic records the process data directly to a USB stick, so every run stays traceable.Temperature uniformityAccording to DIN 17052-1, the temperature uniformity in the empty usable space with the air inlet slide closed and a working temperature above 800 °C is ±5 K. An adjustable temperature limiter with adjustable cut-off temperature can be ordered as a factory option.Selection guideThose who need only 5 litres and prefer a lift door will find the more compact variant of the same series at LT Laborhandel in the LT 5/13 (article no. L-055H3AL). The lift door version with 9 litres, the LT 9/13, is available on request. Those who need a higher final temperature at the same volume will find the matching model in the series up to 1,400 °C with the L 9/14.Typical applicationsThe series is intended for use in laboratory and research. With 9 litres of usable volume, the L 9/13 suits somewhat larger sample quantities or several small containers at the same time, at temperatures up to 1,300 °C and with freely programmable ramps via the B510 controller. The five program slots allow recurring processes to be set up once and simply recalled for later batches.Technical detailsTmax1,300 °CUsable volume9 lInternal dimensions (W x D x H)250 x 240 x 170 mmExternal dimensions (W x D x H)530 x 525 x 630 mmConnected load3.3 kWElectrical connectionsingle phaseWeight58 kgHeating timeapprox. 60 min (empty, closed furnace to Tmax minus 100 K)Heatingtwo sides, heating elements on support tubesInsulationmultiple layers of lightweight firebricksDoorFlap doorControllerB510, touch operation, 5 programs of 4 segments eachTemperature uniformity±5 K according to DIN 17052-1 (from 800 °C working temperature)Other models in the seriesThe Nabertherm muffle furnace series with brick insulation up to 1,300 °C comprises six variants in three sizes with flap or lift door.ModelVolumeTmaxDoorL 5/13 (on request)5 l1,300 °CFlap doorLT 5/135 l1,300 °CLift doorL 9/13 (this page)9 l1,300 °CFlap doorLT 9/13 (on request)9 l1,300 °CLift doorL 15/13 (on request)15 l1,300 °CFlap doorLT 15/13 (on request)15 l1,300 °CLift doorScope of delivery1x Nabertherm muffle furnace L 9/13 with standard controller B510Regulatory informationThe device is an electrical appliance within the meaning of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). Nabertherm Vertical Tube Furnace RHTV 120/600/17/P570, 600 mm Heated Length, Tmax 1,700 °C, Vertical Operation, RV322V72AN
With 120 mm tube outer diameter and 600 mm heated length, the Nabertherm vertical tube furnace RHTV 120/600/17 is the largest size in the RHTV series and, like the smaller models, works with suspended MoSi2 heating elements in the 1,700 °C temperature class. It is controlled via the P570 touch controller in a standing cabinet separate from the furnace.Construction and tube dimensionsThe tube length is 830 mm, with single-zone heating the length with constant temperature is 170 mm. The furnace weighs 110 kg and measures 680 x 700 x 1,580 mm (W x D x H) without the tube. At 19.4 kW, the connected load is a good three times higher than the smallest 50/150 size, the connection is three-phase. Two fibre plugs close the open ends of the ceramic working tube C 799, which allows operation in air.Heating and insulationLike the other RHTV sizes, the furnace works with suspended MoSi2 heating elements that are easy to replace. The insulation consists of vacuum-formed ceramic fibre panels, aluminium silicate wool (RCF fibres) is not used. As standard, a ceramic working tube C 799 with two fibre plugs is fitted, measurement is via a type B thermocouple. For three-zone heating with an additional neutral conductor, Nabertherm only offers the horizontal RHTH variant of this series, the RHTV 120/600/17 works single-zone.Vertical operation and switch cabinetA stand holds the working tube, there is no classic furnace door with this design. The switch cabinet with the P570 controller sits in a standing cabinet separate from the furnace. Standard equipment includes a power unit with low-voltage transformer and thyristor. An adjustable temperature limiter with adjustable cut-off temperature is part of the standard equipment and serves as over-temperature protection for furnace and charge.Controller P57050 programs with 40 segments each are available in the P570 touch controller for temperature ramps and holding times. If the temperature is to be measured directly at the charge instead of in the furnace chamber, a charge control with temperature measurement in the working tube can be added as a factory option, alternative working tubes are also available.Selection guideIf 50 mm tube diameter and 150 mm heated length are sufficient, the RHTV 50/150/17 at 70 kg and 5.8 kW connected load is the lighter size. At 19.4 kW, the RHTV 120/600/17 requires a correspondingly rated three-phase supply, but in return offers a 70 mm larger tube diameter and four times the heated length. Gas supply package 2 for non-flammable process gases, gas supply package 4 for hydrogen applications, and a vacuum package for evacuating the working tube can be ordered as factory options for both RHTV sizes.Typical applicationsThe RHTV 120/600/17 is a vertical high-temperature tube furnace up to 1,700 °C for working tubes up to 120 mm outer diameter. With the standard ceramic working tube C 799 and two fibre plugs, it operates in air, for non-flammable process gases, hydrogen applications or vacuum, gas supply packages 2 and 4 and a vacuum package are available as factory options.Technical detailsTmax1,700 °CMax. tube outer diameter120 mmHeated length600 mmTube length830 mmLength with constant temperature, single-zone170 mmExternal dimensions without tube (W x D x H)680 x 700 x 1,580 mmConnected load19.4 kW, three-phaseWeight110 kgHeatingMoSi2 heating elements, suspendedInsulationVacuum-formed ceramic fibre panelsControllerP570, touch operation, 50 programs of 40 segments eachOther models in the seriesIn the 1,700 °C temperature class, Nabertherm builds the RHTV in three sizes between 50 and 120 mm tube outer diameter, sorted below by tube size:ModelTmaxRHTV 50/150/171,700 °CRHTV 80/300/17 (on request)1,700 °CRHTV 120/600/17 (this page)1,700 °CScope of delivery1x Nabertherm vertical tube furnace RHTV 120/600/17 with standSeparate switch cabinet with P570 controllerCeramic working tube C 799 with two fibre plugsRegulatory informationThe device is an electrical appliance within the meaning of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). Memmert Vacuum Drying Oven VO49, 49 l, +20 to +200 °C, TwinDISPLAY
With 49 litres of internal volume, the VO49 is the middle one of the three VO sizes. Compared with the VO29, the interior grows in height and depth to 385 x 385 x 330 mm, while the width stays the same. The housing measures 550 x 687 x 480 mm (door handle additional 38 mm) and weighs approx. 83 kg. The temperature can be set from +20 to +200 °C, and the pressure is controlled digitally in the range 5 to 1,100 mbar. Two thermal shelf levels in the interiorThe rear wall of the VO49 has two connections for thermal shelves, on the 1st and the 3rd level. One thermal shelf made of aluminium (material 3.3547, integrated large-area heating) is supplied. Each shelf is controlled individually: an MLC microprocessor control with fuzzy-assisted power adjustment according to load quantity, plus its own Pt100 in 4-wire measurement. A maximum of 2 shelves with 20 kg each and 60 kg for the whole unit are permitted. The Premium module T5 can be selected as a factory option when ordering. For size 49 it contains inert gas switching, two further thermal shelf connections and an additional thermal shelf. Memmert supplies further shelves as accessories in anodised aluminium (B00743) or in stainless steel 1.4404 (B00734) for particularly corrosive materials.Pressure control, air inlet and pumpThe pressure can be controlled to a value between 5 and 1,100 mbar. The permissible ultimate vacuum of the oven is 0.01 mbar, and the maximum leak rate is 0.01 bar/h. Suction is via a small flange DN16, and ventilation via the gas inlet with fresh air supply, which opens in a programmable and digitally controlled way. Suction and ventilation lines are made of material 1.4571 (ASTM 316 Ti).A pump is not included in the carton with the VO49. It is ordered as an accessory, for example the chemically resistant 4-head diaphragm pump E07509 with approx. 50 Nl./min (3.0 m³/h) at 230 V. The oven controls its speed, switches it ON and OFF via a signal output and triggers demand-based flushing cycles of the diaphragm. Signal cable B39410 and hose B04026 (3 m each) are additionally mandatory. The pump module PM49 (without pump) or PMP49 (with built-in pump) stands as a noise-damping base cabinet under the oven, and with the PMP49, signal cable and hose are not needed. Together with the base frame B63506, this gives a stacked unit of 1,650 mm height.Control, timing and data pathsThe ControlCOCKPIT works with an adaptive PID controller and two high-resolution TFT colour displays. Parameters such as temperature (Celsius or Fahrenheit), pressure and program runtime are settable, as are time zone and summer/winter time. The timer counts down from 1 minute to 99 days and states the target time, and SetpointWAIT shifts the start of timing to the moment when the setpoint temperature is reached. The setting accuracy is 0.1 °C up to a setpoint temperature of 99.9 °C, and 0.5 °C above that.Programs can be written, managed and loaded onto the unit via Ethernet LAN or USB with the AtmoCONTROL software. The program sequence is saved in the event of a power failure. Two current interfaces are available as factory options: V3 outputs the actual temperature value from 0 to 210 °C as 4 to 20 mA, V6 the value of a Pt100 that can be freely positioned in the interior (both only with T5).Protective devices and locationThe mechanical temperature limiter (protection class 1, DIN 12880) disconnects the heating at approximately 10 °C above the maximum oven temperature. The AutoSAFETY protection ASF follows the setpoint at a freely selectable interval and triggers an optical and acoustic alarm when exceeded or fallen below, and additionally the heating shutdown when exceeded. The door consists of a full-view glass pane with spring-mounted 15 mm safety glass on the inside and a splinter-protection pane on the outside. The location should be between +5 and +40 °C, and the humidity at most 80 %, non-condensing. At the sides 8 cm of space to the wall remain, 15 cm to the rear wall, 20 cm to the ceiling. During transport the oven must stand upright.Choosing a size: VO29, VO49 or VO101The VO29 offers 29 litres and one connection in the rear wall, at 40 kg unit load. It is sufficient if the load fits in 385 x 305 x 250 mm. The VO49 has 20 litres more internal volume and two connections. The VO101 reaches 545 x 465 x 400 mm interior at 710 mm external width and approx. 110 kg net weight, and the load capacity per shelf stays at 20 kg.Typical applicationsVacuum drying is the job of this oven. Nabertherm Chamber Furnace LH 216/12/B500, 216 l, Tmax 1,200 °C, Brick Insulation, LH2122NKNE
216 litres of usable space make the Nabertherm chamber furnace LH 216/12 the largest version in the brick-insulated LH series up to 1,200 °C. The interior measures 600 x 600 x 600 mm, the weight is 470 kg.Format, weight and installationExternally, the LH 216/12 measures around 990 x 1,280 x 1,590 mm depending on additional equipment. A base stand is already part of the scope of delivery. At 20 kW with a three-phase connection, the connected load is significantly higher than the LH 30/12 with 7 kW and the LH 120/12 with 12 kW, the three-phase supply at the installation site must be rated accordingly.Door, floor and ceiling archThe standard door is a fixed door with a hand-ground brick-on-brick seal. A recessed SiC plate in the floor protects the floor heating and provides a level surface for stacking the charge. The self-supporting ceiling arch gives the large furnace chamber stability and protects it against dust ingress. As a factory option, the fixed door can be replaced with a parallel swing door for protection against heat radiation or a lift door with electro-mechanical linear drive, an adjustable temperature limiter with adjustable cut-off temperature supplements the over-temperature protection if required. An optional cooling system cools the furnace with a predefined temperature gradient or a fixed fresh air volume and can be switched segment by segment via an extra function of the controller.Heating, insulation and controllerFive sides of the furnace chamber are heated, the heating elements sit on support tubes and radiate freely. The five-sided heating provides good temperature uniformity in the furnace chamber, freely radiating heating elements on support tubes provide a long service life. Behind this is a multi-layer brick insulation made of lightweight refractory bricks with special rear insulation, exclusively with materials without classification under CLP Regulation (EG) Nr. 1272/2008. The furnace is operated via the B500 controller, which is mounted in the door and removable, with five programs of four segments each via touch operation.Selection guideIf the furnace chamber is rarely used at full capacity, the LH 120/12 with 120 litres offers a smaller and lighter alternative in the same temperature class at LT Laborhandel. At 410 kg, the LH 120/12 weighs 60 kg less and requires a connected load of 12 kW, which is 8 kW less than the LH 216/12. If a higher final temperature is needed, Nabertherm also offers the series as LH 216/13 and LH 216/14, although these are currently not in the range at LT Laborhandel.Typical applicationsAs a factory option, the LH 216/12 can be equipped with a weighing device for loss on ignition determination. For processes with non-flammable process gases, a protective gas connection and a manual or automatic gas supply system are available, process control and documentation can be handled by the VCD software package if desired.Technical detailsTmax1,200 °CUsable volume216 lInternal dimensions (W x D x H)600 x 600 x 600 mmExternal dimensions (W x D x H)approx. 990 x 1,280 x 1,590 mm (varies with additional equipment)Connected load20 kWElectrical connectionthree-phaseWeight470 kgHeatingfive-sided, heating elements on support tubesInsulationLightweight refractory bricks, multi-layer with rear insulationDoorfixed door, brick-on-brick sealControllerB500, touch operation, 5 programs of 4 segments eachOther models in the seriesIn the 1,200 °C temperature class, Nabertherm builds the brick-insulated LH chamber furnace in five sizes from 15 to 216 litres.ModelVolumeTmaxLH 15/12 (on request)15 l1,200 °CLH 30/1230 l1,200 °CLH 60/12 (on request)60 l1,200 °CLH 120/12120 l1,200 °CLH 216/12 (this page)216 l1,200 °CScope of delivery1x Nabertherm chamber furnace LH 216/12 with standard B500 controllerBase standRegulatory informationThe device is an electrical appliance within the meaning of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). Memmert Vacuum Drying Oven VO29, 29 l, +20 to +200 °C, TwinDISPLAY
The Memmert Vacuum Drying Oven VO29 is the smallest size in the VO series. The interior holds 29 litres and measures 385 x 305 x 250 mm (W x H x D), the unit measures 550 x 607 x 400 mm externally, and the door handle adds 38 mm to the depth. At approx. 55 kg net weight, it is the lightest VO. The temperature is set between +20 and +200 °C, the pressure digitally between 5 and 1,100 mbar, and operation is via the TwinDISPLAY of the ControlCOCKPIT.Loading: one thermal shelf instead of a shelfThe scope of delivery includes a thermal shelf made of aluminium (material 3.3547) with integrated large-area heating. It replaces the shelf that is otherwise usual. Up to 2 shelves are possible in total, each may be loaded with 20 kg, and the unit as a whole with 40 kg. There is a connection for the thermal shelf in the rear wall. The Premium module T5 can be selected as a factory option when ordering and includes, among other things, further thermal shelf connections (one for size 29).The interior is hermetically sealed by welding and made of stainless steel 1.4404. A removable interior lining of the same material carries the support rails with tilt protection on the sides, and the ceiling lining serves against ventilation turbulence.Direct heating and temperature controlHeating takes place in the thermal shelf itself. A fuzzy-assisted MLC microprocessor control (Multi-Level-Controlling) adapts the heating power to shelf and load quantity, and measurement is by a Pt100 in 4-wire technology directly at the shelf. The working temperature range begins at least 5 °C above room temperature and ends at +200 °C. The setting accuracy is 0.1 °C up to a setpoint temperature of 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C. Every supplied thermal shelf comes with a factory calibration certificate for +160 °C at 20 mbar.Vacuum and pump connectionOn the outlet side, the VO29 has a small flange DN16, plus a gas inlet with fresh air supply and a programmable, digitally controlled air inlet. The pipework in the suction and ventilation area is made of material 1.4571 (ASTM 316 Ti). The permissible ultimate vacuum of the oven is 0.01 mbar, and the maximum leak rate is 0.01 bar/h.The vacuum pump is not part of the scope of delivery and is ordered separately. Memmert offers the chemically resistant 4-head diaphragm pump E07509 (approx. 50 Nl./min = 3.0 m³/h, 230 V). It runs with speed control, and the oven also outputs a pump ON/OFF signal and triggers demand-based flushing cycles of the pump diaphragms. Signal cable B39410 and connecting hose B04026 (3 m each) are required for this. As a noise-damping base cabinet there is the pump module PM29 (without pump, to hold the vacuum pump) or PMP29 (with built-in pump). Together with the base frame B63505, oven and pump module form a stacked unit with a total height of 1,650 mm. With the module with pump, signal cable and hose are not needed.Programs, timer and interfacesThe TwinDISPLAY consists of two high-resolution TFT colour graphic displays. Settable are temperature (Celsius or Fahrenheit), pressure, program runtime, time zone and summer/winter time, and the menu language is selected from nine languages. The digital countdown clock runs from 1 minute to 99 days with target time indication. With SetpointWAIT, the process time begins only when the setpoint temperature has been reached. Programs are created, managed and transferred via Ethernet LAN or USB with the AtmoCONTROL software. The program sequence is saved in the event of a power failure.Protection and installationA mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 to DIN 12880 switches the heating off at approximately 10 °C above the maximum oven temperature. In addition, the AutoSAFETY protection ASF follows the setpoint at a freely selectable interval, reports exceeding and falling below visually and acoustically, and switches the heating off when exceeded. A self-diagnosis system supports troubleshooting of the temperature control. The door is built as a full-view glass door: spring-mounted safety glass of 15 mm thickness on the inside, and a splinter-protection pane on the outside.Installation is at +5 to +40 °C ambient temperature and a maximum of 80 % relative humidity, non-condensing. A distance of 15 cm to the rear wall is to be observed, 20 cm to the ceiling and 8 cm at the sides. Nabertherm Muffle Furnace LT 5/12/B510, 5 l, Tmax 1,200 °C, Lift Door, L-055H2AL
The Nabertherm LT 5/12 is the lift door version of the 5-litre size for Tmax 1,200 °C. The hot side of the door remains turned away from the operator, and with the lift door open, 205 mm are added to the external dimensions. Where this is more important during loading than using the door as a shelf, this is the appropriate design.Construction, heating and insulationThe usable space measures 205 x 170 x 130 mm internally, externally the furnace is 385 x 390 x 460 mm, with 205 mm added when the lift door is open. The housing is double-walled, rear-ventilated and made of textured stainless steel sheet. Heating is provided from two sides via ceramic heating plates with integrated heating wire, and the furnace is insulated exclusively with material without classification under the CLP Regulation (EG) Nr. 1272/2008, meaning without aluminium silicate wool (RCF fibre). The empty, closed furnace takes approximately 59 minutes to reach Tmax minus 100 K (230 V 1/N/PE or 400 V 3/N/PE), and the weight is 27 kg.Controller and thermocoupleControl is handled via the B510 touch controller with 5 programs of 4 segments each, and the heating operates quietly via solid-state relays. NTLog Basic logs process data on a USB flash drive. A type S thermocouple is installed for Tmax 1,200 °C, and at working temperatures above 800 °C, the temperature uniformity in the empty usable space with the inlet air slider closed is +/-5 K according to DIN 17052-1.Lift door and safetyWith the lift door, the hot side remains turned away from the operator, an adjustable air inlet is located in the door, and the exhaust air discharges through the rear wall. For additional over-temperature protection, an adjustable temperature limiter with an adjustable cut-off temperature can be ordered as an option.Selection guide for door type and temperature classThose who prefer to use the door as a shelf rather than lifting it will find the flap door variant with the same usable space and the same temperature class in the L 5/12 (item no. L-055K2AL). If the lower temperature class is sufficient, this size is also available with Tmax 1,100 °C, as the L 5/11 with flap door (item no. L-055K1AL) or as the LT 5/11 with lift door on request.Typical applicationsThe L/LT series is intended for use in laboratories and research. With the LT 5/12, the lift door design is added, which is suitable when the hot side should remain facing away from the operator during loading.Laboratory workstations requiring Tmax 1,200 °CApplications where the lift door design is preferredTechnical detailsManufacturer model designationLT 5/12Tmax1,200 °CWorking volume5 lInternal dimensions W x D x H205 x 170 x 130 mmExternal dimensions W x D x H385 x 390 x 460 mm (plus 205 mm with lift door open)Connected load2.6 kW, single-phaseWeight27 kgHeating time to Tmax -100 K59 min (empty, closed furnace, 230 V 1/N/PE or 400 V 3/N/PE)HeatingTwo sides, ceramic heating platesTemperature uniformity+/-5 K according to DIN 17052-1 (from 800 °C, empty usable space)ThermocoupleType SControlB510, touch, 5 programs with 4 segments eachDoorLift doorHousingdouble-walled, rear-ventilated, textured stainless steel sheetInsulation materialwithout CLP classification (EG) Nr. 1272/2008, no RCF fibreOther models in the seriesThe table shows all models of the L/LT series with Tmax 1,200 °C and lift door, sorted by working volume:ModelVolumeTmaxDoorLT 1/12 (on request)1 l1,200 °CLift doorLT 3/12 (on request)3 l1,200 °CLift doorLT 5/12 (this page)5 l1,200 °CLift doorLT 9/12 (on request)9 l1,200 °CLift doorLT 15/12 (on request)15 l1,200 °CLift doorLT 24/12 (on request)24 l1,200 °CLift doorLT 40/12 (on request)40 l1,200 °CLift doorLT 60/12 (on request)60 l1,200 °CLift doorScope of delivery1x Nabertherm muffle furnace LT 5/12 with controller B510Regulatory informationThe device is an electrical appliance within the meaning of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). Nabertherm High-Temperature Furnace LHT 03/17 D/P580, 4 l, Tmax 1,650 °C, Lift Door, LHT327WN1
With 4 litres of usable space, the Nabertherm high-temperature furnace LHT 03/17 D is the largest of the three LHT sizes with MoSi2 heating elements carried by LT Laborhandel, Tmax is 1,650 °C. It opens via a lift door and is controlled via the P580 touch controller.Heating and insulationMoSi2 heating elements (molybdenum disilicide) heat the furnace, maintaining extensive protection against chemical interactions between the charge and the heating elements. The insulation consists of high-quality fibre material without CLP classification under Regulation (EG) Nr. 1272/2008, aluminium silicate wool (RCF fibres) is not used.Interior and connectionThe interior measures 135 x 135 x 200 mm, externally the furnace measures 412 x 450 x 595 mm, with the lift door open, around 300 mm of additional height is added. The weight is 38 kg. The LHT 03/17 D is connected single-phase at 2.7 kW. Empty and closed, the furnace needs around 57 minutes to reach Tmax minus 100 K at 230 V.Controller P580 and thermocouple50 programs with 40 segments each can be stored in the P580 touch controller, ramps and holding times remain stored in it for recurring processes. Each segment covers a process step with its own heating rate and holding time, allowing multi-stage temperature profiles to be mapped in one program. NTLog Basic records the process data and outputs it via USB. In the D version, a type S thermocouple measures the furnace temperature.Selection guideIf 1 litre of usable space is sufficient, the LHT 01/17 D at the same Tmax of 1,650 °C is the more compact and lighter alternative at 28 instead of 38 kg weight. If a higher temperature is needed, the LHT 02/17 reaches Tmax 1,750 °C at 2 litres.Typical applicationsThe LHT series is intended for two main application fields across all sizes.Sintering of technical ceramics, for example zirconia dental bridgesResearch and laboratory as an all-rounder for high-temperature processesTechnical detailsTmax1,650 °CInternal dimensions (W x D x H)135 x 135 x 200 mmInternal volume4 lExternal dimensions (W x D x H)412 x 450 x 595 mm, plus approx. 300 mm when the lift door is openConnected load2.7 kW, single-phaseWeight38 kgHeating timeapprox. 57 min (empty, closed furnace to Tmax minus 100 K, at 230 V 1/N/PE)HeatingMoSi2 heating elements (molybdenum disilicide)InsulationHigh-quality fibre materialDoorLift doorControllerP580, touch operation, 50 programs of 40 segments eachOther models in the seriesWithin the LHT series, the 03/17 D covers only a section, the complete series spans four temperature classes from 1,600 to 1,800 °C and usable spaces between 1 and 8 litres, sorted by model designation:ModelVolumeTmaxDoorLHT 02/16 (on request)2 l1,600 °CLift doorLHT 04/16 (on request)4 l1,600 °CLift doorLHT 08/16 (on request)8 l1,600 °CLift doorLHT 01/17 D1 l1,650 °CLift doorLHT 03/17 D (this page)4 l1,650 °CLift doorLHT 02/172 l1,750 °CLift doorLHT 04/17 (on request)4 l1,750 °CLift doorLHT 08/17 (on request)8 l1,750 °CLift doorLHT 02/18 (on request)2 l1,800 °CLift doorLHT 04/18 (on request)4 l1,800 °CLift doorLHT 08/18 (on request)8 l1,800 °CLift doorScope of delivery1x Nabertherm high-temperature furnace LHT 03/17 D with P580 controllerRegulatory informationThe device is an electrical appliance within the meaning of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). Nabertherm Chamber Furnace LF 30/14/B500, 30 l, Tmax 1,400 °C, Fibre Insulation, LF0342NKNE
Unlike the LH models, the Nabertherm chamber furnace LF 30/14 uses a high-quality fibre insulation with bricked corner stones instead of lightweight refractory bricks. The fibre insulation shortens the heating and cooling times compared to the brick insulation, with the same usable space of 30 litres and the same Tmax of 1,400 °C as the LH 30/14.Fibre insulation instead of brickThe LF 30/14 weighs 180 kg, the brick-insulated LH 30/14 version weighs 200 kg. Internal dimensions, external dimensions and connected load are the same for both models.Interior and doorInternally, the usable space measures 320 x 320 x 320 mm, externally the furnace measures around 710 x 930 x 1,290 mm depending on additional equipment. The standard door is a fixed door with a brick-on-brick seal, hand-ground, a recessed SiC plate in the floor protects the floor heating and serves as a level stacking surface. The housing is made of double-walled textured stainless steel sheet, which keeps the external temperature low and gives the furnace stability. As a factory option, the fixed door can be replaced with a parallel swing door with protection against heat radiation or a lift door with electro-mechanical linear drive. An adjustable temperature limiter with adjustable cut-off temperature additionally protects furnace and charge against over-temperature if required.Heating, connection and controllerFive sides of the furnace chamber are heated, heating elements on support tubes radiate freely into the interior. The five-sided heating is designed to provide good temperature uniformity in the furnace chamber, freely radiating heating elements on support tubes for a long service life. The connection is three-phase at 10 kW, although the heating itself only operates between two phases. The installed heating power is generously dimensioned and enables short heating times. An optional cooling system with predefined temperature gradient or fixed fresh air volume can be switched segment by segment via an extra function of the controller. The B500 controller is mounted in the door, removable for operation, and stores five programs of four segments each via touch operation.Selection guideAnyone who prefers a brick insulation made of lightweight refractory bricks will find the matching alternative at LT Laborhandel with the LH 30/14 at the same volume and the same Tmax. Compared to the LH 30/14 with the same volume and the same Tmax, the fibre insulation saves 20 kilograms of weight, with an otherwise identical connected load of 10 kW. If a lower final temperature is sufficient, the fibre insulation is also available as LF 30/13 up to 1,300 °C, Nabertherm only builds models up to 1,200 °C with brick insulation. If more volume is needed, Nabertherm also offers the fibre insulation as LF 60/14 with double and as LF 120/14 with four times the usable space compared to the LF 30/14.Typical applicationsWith the weighing device available as a factory option, the LF 30/14 can be set up for loss on ignition determination. For processes with non-flammable process gases, a protective gas connection and a manual or automatic gas supply system are available, process control and documentation can be handled by the VCD software package if desired.Technical detailsTmax1,400 °CUsable volume30 lInternal dimensions (W x D x H)320 x 320 x 320 mmExternal dimensions (W x D x H)approx. 710 x 930 x 1,290 mm (varies with additional equipment)Connected load10 kWElectrical connectionthree-phase (heating only between two phases)Weight180 kgHeatingfive-sided, heating elements on support tubesInsulationFibre insulation with bricked corner stonesDoorfixed door, brick-on-brick sealControllerB500, touch operation, 5 programs of 4 segments eachOther models in the seriesIn the 1,400 °C temperature class, the fibre-insulated LF chamber furnace is available in four sizes from 15 to 120 litres.ModelVolumeTmaxLF 15/14 (on request)15 l1,400 °CLF 30/14 (this page)30 l1,400 °CLF 60/14 (on request)60 l1,400 °CLF 120/14 (on request)120 l1,400 °CScope of delivery1x Nabertherm chamber furnace LF 30/14 with standard B500 controllerBase standRegulatory informationThe device is an electrical appliance within the meaning of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). Nabertherm Muffle Furnace LT 9/14/B510, 9 l, Tmax 1,400 °C, Lift Door, L-095H4AL
The Nabertherm muffle furnace LT 9/14 is the lift door version of the 9 litre size up to 1,400 °C, with a flap door the same volume is called L 9/14. At 9 litres volume and Tmax 1,400 °C, the heating elements sit on support tubes on two sides of the furnace chamber, insulation is exclusively with material without classification under the CLP Regulation (EG) Nr. 1272/2008.Lift door and space requirementThe lift door opens vertically upwards and requires an additional 350 mm of clearance above the housing. Inside, the usable space measures 250 x 250 x 170 mm (W x D x H), externally the LT 9/14 measures 530 x 525 x 630 mm, the weight is 55 kg. Those who want to install the furnace under an extraction hood or in a low fume cupboard should plan for the 350 mm of lift travel in advance. The housing is double walled, made of textured stainless steel sheet, the heating elements on support tubes are designed for free heat radiation and a long service life.Insulation and air inletThe insulation consists exclusively of materials without classification under the CLP Regulation. An adjustable air inlet opening sits in the door, the exhaust air escapes via an opening in the rear wall. The furnace runs single phase with a connected load of 3.5 kW and reaches Tmax minus 100 K, that is 1,300 °C, in around 50 minutes when empty and closed.Controller B510The touch controller B510 stores five programs of four segments each. This allows different temperature profiles for various sample types to be stored once and recalled repeatedly afterwards, without entering the values again each time.Temperature uniformityAccording to DIN 17052-1, the temperature uniformity in the empty usable space with the air inlet slide closed and a working temperature above 800 °C is ±5 K. An adjustable temperature limiter with adjustable cut-off temperature can be ordered as a factory option.Selection guideIf little space is available above the furnace in the laboratory, the flap door variant L 9/14 (article no. L-095K4AL) at the same volume and Tmax is the alternative, the additional 350 mm with the door open applies only to the lift door. If a final temperature of 1,300 °C is sufficient, the brick insulation series also offers a more compact lift door version with less usable volume in the LT 5/13.Typical applicationsThe series is intended for use in laboratory and research. With Tmax 1,400 °C and 9 litres of usable volume, the LT 9/14 suits samples that need a higher final temperature than the 1,300 °C series. Those who prefer working with a lift door rather than a flap door get the same usable space and the same Tmax here as with the L 9/14.Technical detailsTmax1,400 °CUsable volume9 lInternal dimensions (W x D x H)250 x 250 x 170 mmExternal dimensions (W x D x H)530 x 525 x 630 mm (+350 mm with lift door open)Connected load3.5 kWElectrical connectionsingle phaseWeight55 kgHeating timeapprox. 50 min (empty, closed furnace to Tmax minus 100 K)Heatingtwo sides, heating elements on support tubesInsulationwithout classification under Regulation (EG) Nr. 1272/2008 (CLP)DoorLift doorControllerB510, touch operation, 5 programs of 4 segments eachTemperature uniformity±5 K according to DIN 17052-1 (from 800 °C working temperature)Other models in the seriesThe Nabertherm muffle furnace series up to 1,400 °C comprises six variants in three sizes with flap or lift door.ModelVolumeTmaxDoorL 5/14 (on request)5 l1,400 °CFlap doorLT 5/14 (on request)5 l1,400 °CLift doorL 9/149 l1,400 °CFlap doorLT 9/14 (this page)9 l1,400 °CLift doorL 15/14 (on request)15 l1,400 °CFlap doorLT 15/14 (on request)15 l1,400 °CLift doorScope of delivery1x Nabertherm muffle furnace LT 9/14 with standard controller B510Regulatory informationThe device is an electrical appliance within the meaning of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). Nabertherm Chamber Furnace LH 30/14/B500, 30 l, Tmax 1,400 °C, Brick Insulation, LH0342NKNE
The Nabertherm chamber furnace LH 30/14 shares the 320 x 320 x 320 mm furnace chamber with the same-sized LH 30/12, but reaches up to 1,400 °C instead of 1,200 °C. In return, the connected load rises to 10 kW compared to 7 kW on the cooler model, at an unchanged weight of 200 kg.More temperature at the same sizeThe higher Tmax does not change the external dimensions of around 710 x 930 x 1,290 mm, so the LH 30/14 fits in the same location as the 1,200 °C version. Both models are insulated with lightweight refractory bricks and special rear insulation, the LH 30/14 has a connected load that is 3 kW higher at 10 kW.Door, floor and housingThe standard door is a fixed door with a brick-on-brick seal, hand-ground. A recessed SiC plate in the floor protects the floor heating and serves as a level stacking surface for the charge. The double-walled housing made of textured stainless steel sheet keeps the external temperature low, a self-supporting ceiling arch protects the furnace chamber against dust from above. As a factory option, a parallel swing door for protection against heat radiation or a lift door with electro-mechanical linear drive is also available instead of the fixed door, an adjustable temperature limiter with adjustable cut-off temperature supplements the protection of furnace and charge if required.Heating, connection and controllerFive sides of the furnace chamber are heated, heating elements on support tubes radiate freely into the interior, this provides good temperature uniformity in the furnace chamber and a long service life for the heating elements. The connection is three-phase, although the heating itself only operates between two phases. The installed heating power is generously dimensioned, which enables short heating times. An optional cooling system cools the furnace with a predefined temperature gradient or a fixed fresh air volume and can be switched segment by segment via an extra function of the controller. The furnace is operated via the B500 controller, which is mounted in the door and removable for operation, with five programs of four segments each via touch operation.Selection guideIf a final temperature of 1,200 °C is sufficient, the LH 30/12 is the variant with the lower connected load at the same size. If more usable space is needed at the same Tmax of 1,400 °C, Nabertherm also lists the LH 120/14 with four times the volume and the LH 216/14 with just over seven times the volume compared to the LH 30/14 in this series. Anyone looking for a fibre insulation with shorter heating and cooling times instead of the brick insulation will find the matching model in the LF 30/14 with the same Tmax and the same volume.Typical applicationsWith the weighing device available as a factory option, the LH 30/14 can be set up for loss on ignition determination up to Tmax 1,400 °C. A protective gas connection for purging with non-flammable process gases and a manual or automatic gas supply system are also available as factory options, an exhaust hood or stainless steel flue can direct exhaust gases to site-provided extraction if desired.Technical detailsTmax1,400 °CUsable volume30 lInternal dimensions (W x D x H)320 x 320 x 320 mmExternal dimensions (W x D x H)approx. 710 x 930 x 1,290 mm (varies with additional equipment)Connected load10 kWElectrical connectionthree-phase (heating only between two phases)Weight200 kgHeatingfive-sided, heating elements on support tubesInsulationLightweight refractory bricks, multi-layer with rear insulationDoorfixed door, brick-on-brick sealControllerB500, touch operation, 5 programs of 4 segments eachOther models in the seriesIn the 1,400 °C temperature class, Nabertherm builds the brick-insulated LH chamber furnace in five sizes from 15 to 216 litres.ModelVolumeTmaxLH 15/14 (on request)15 l1,400 °CLH 30/14 (this page)30 l1,400 °CLH 60/14 (on request)60 l1,400 °CLH 120/14 (on request)120 l1,400 °CLH 216/14 (on request)216 l1,400 °CScope of delivery1x Nabertherm chamber furnace LH 30/14 with standard B500 controllerBase standRegulatory informationThe device is an electrical appliance within the meaning of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG).
