SAUTER JCT 100 coating thickness gauge, Fe/NFe combination sensor, internal measuring cell
Uncompromising precision in surface technology: the SAUTER JCT 100 coating thickness gauge In modern industrial manufacturing, rigorous quality assurance, professional vehicle assessment and heavy-duty corrosion protection, the accurate and non-destructive measurement of coating thicknesses is an absolutely business-critical factor. Whether it is the thickness of a protective zinc coating on a steel girder, the uniform paint finish on a car body, or the anodised layer on an aluminium profile – even minute deviations from the specified tolerance values can have dramatic consequences. A coating that is too thin will inevitably lead to premature corrosion, material fatigue and costly warranty claims. A coating that is too thick, on the other hand, is prone to flaking, compromises the mechanical fit of components and, in mass production, wastes immense quantities of expensive raw materials (such as powder coating or zinc). To completely eliminate these massive quality and financial risks, KERN & SOHN has developed the JCT 100 digital coating thickness gauge (MPN JCT 100) under its specialist brand SAUTER. This compact, ergonomic and technologically advanced handheld measuring device provides you with absolutely reliable, digital readings within milliseconds and is the perfect solution for any professional user who needs to record high-precision, standards-compliant coating data on a daily basis. Intelligent dual technology: automatic Fe and NFe detection The greatest technological advantage of the SAUTER JCT 100 is its highly advanced, universal combination measuring cell. In industrial practice, one is constantly dealing with completely different base materials. The device therefore masters both relevant physical measurement principles to perfection. On the one hand, it uses the magnetic-inductive method (Fe mode) to measure non-magnetic coatings (such as varnish, paint, plastic, enamel, chrome, copper or zinc) on magnetic base materials such as steel and iron. On the other hand, the electronics switch instantly to the eddy current method (NFe mode) when you need to measure insulating layers (such as paint, anodised aluminium, plastic or ceramics) on non-magnetic metals such as aluminium, brass, copper or non-magnetic stainless steel. The real highlight for the user: the SAUTER JCT 100 detects the respective metallic base material (substrate) completely automatically! You do not need to manually reprogram the device when switching from a steel sheet to an aluminium component. Simply place the device on the component, and the internal microprocessor automatically selects the correct physical measurement mode. This massively speeds up the testing process on mixed assemblies (for example, on modern car bodies made from a combination of steel and aluminium) and categorically rules out critical measurement errors caused by the operator selecting the wrong mode manually. Ergonomics and precision thanks to an internal measuring cell The SAUTER JCT 100 has been deliberately designed as a compact, one-handed measuring device with an internally mounted measuring cell (probe). In the harsh realities of everyday industrial use, this design offers decisive advantages over devices with external cable probes. Firstly, it eliminates the hassle of handling delicate cables that could get caught on sharp edges or break. Secondly, the internal probe enables extremely stable and wobble-free one-handed operation. You can hold on with your free hand whilst, for example, carrying out measurements on a large silo or a bridge pier whilst standing on a ladder. The tip of the probe is also fitted with a special, wear-resistant V-groove. This sophisticated design ensures that you can always position the device perfectly centred and at an exact 90-degree angle, not only on perfectly flat metal sheets but also on heavily curved surfaces, round pipes, shafts or convex body panels. Only a perfectly vertical positioning guarantees physically correct and reproducible coating thickness readings. Comprehensive statistical analyses and alarm functions In professional quality control, a single measurement is often insufficient to assess the uniformity of a coating across a large area. The SAUTER JCT 100 is therefore equipped with a generous internal data memory and powerful statistical functions. During a series of measurements, the device automatically calculates the mean value, the absolute highest measured value (Max), the lowest value (Min) and the standard deviation. This allows you to immediately identify whether a painting robot is operating unevenly in production or whether paint drips have formed. To further optimise the workflow in series testing, the device features a freely programmable limit value function (limit alarm). You define a minimum and maximum film thickness in advance (for example, 80 µm to 120 µm). If a measured value falls outside this strict tolerance range, the device immediately alerts you with a highly visible visual and audible signal. This enables extremely rapid ‘pass/fail’ sorting of components at goods-in, without you having to analytically evaluate every single numerical value on the display. Calibration and GLP/ISO-compliant documentation For companies certified to the strict quality standards of DIN EN ISO 9001, the verifiable accuracy of test equipment is of the utmost importance. The SAUTER JCT 100 can be calibrated quickly and easily by the user at any time. The comprehensive scope of supply includes both zeroing plates (for Fe and NFe) and a set of high-precision calibration foils in various defined thicknesses. This allows you to precisely adjust the device to the expected measurement range and the surface roughness of your specific workpiece using a one-point or two-point calibration. The high-resolution, high-contrast display ensures that you can always read the results perfectly, even in poor lighting conditions in production halls or in bright sunlight on a building site. The SAUTER JCT 100 is therefore not just a measuring device, but an indispensable, cost-effective tool for active quality assurance, for preventing rejects and for the long-term protection of your brand’s reputation. SAUTER HBA 100-0 Analogue Shore hardness tester, Shore A, drag-type indicator
Mechanics of Shore A Indentation Hardness In the quality assurance of polymers, rubbers and elastomers, the macroscopic determination of hardness is a key metrological task. The SAUTER HBA 100-0 is a precise, analogue testing instrument for determining material hardness on the Shore A scale (in accordance with DIN ISO 48-4 / ASTM D2240). The physical measuring principle is based on the material’s resistance to penetration by a defined indenter. In the HBA 100-0 model, this indenter is geometrically designed as a truncated cone with an exact opening angle of 35°. It is pressed into the material under test with a defined contact force by means of a precisely calibrated steel spring – based on Hooke’s law. The mechanical penetration depth is inversely proportional to the material hardness: deep penetration of the indenter results in a low Shore value (soft material), whilst high resistance generates a high Shore value (hard material) on the dial. Viscoelasticity and peak hold via a mechanical drag pointer A fundamental phenomenon in the physics of materials relating to amorphous polymers and elastomers is their viscoelasticity. When mechanical stress is applied by the test specimen, the material immediately begins to relax due to molecular chain displacement (creep behaviour). The displayed hardness value therefore decreases continuously within the first few seconds of the measurement. To record the maximum initial value (peak) required by the standard absolutely accurately before material relaxation sets in, the SAUTER HBA 100-0 is equipped with a mechanical drag pointer function. A second, red indicator hand is pushed to the maximum deflection by the main hand and remains in this position. The user can therefore read the exact peak value conveniently and without parallax once the measurement is complete. Self-sufficient metrology for harsh industrial environments Opting for a purely mechanical, analogue measuring system offers significant advantages in harsh industrial field applications. The HBA 100-0 requires neither batteries nor electronic sensor calibrations and is therefore always ready for use independently. The sensitive mechanical conversion of the penetration depth into a rotational movement of the pointer is enclosed in a solid metal housing, which protects the precision mechanics from impacts and dust. The instrument is ideally suited for the non-destructive testing of soft rubber, neoprene, silicone, vinyl, felt and leather directly on the extrusion line or in the goods-in department. Reproducibility through standardised test benches In manual, free-hand measurements, the operator’s individual indentation speed and indentation force represent the greatest sources of physical error. To ensure absolute metrological reproducibility and to meet the strict repeatability tolerances of ISO standards, the housing of the HBA 100-0 is designed for direct adaptation to a standardised Shore test rig. The use of a test rig with a constant test weight fully standardises the kinematics of the measurement. Technical details Physical measurement method: Shore A (indentation hardness) Indenter geometry: truncated cone with a 35° opening angle Dynamic measurement range: 0 to 100 HA (Shore A) Metrological resolution (d): 1 HA Analogue display: High-contrast dial Peak function: Mechanical tracking pointer for recording peak values Material compatibility: elastomers, rubber, neoprene, silicone, felt, leather Power supply: Battery-free (purely mechanical system) Housing construction: Solid metal housing Compatibility: Designed for mounting on mechanical test rigs Compliance with standards: In accordance with DIN ISO 48-4 / ASTM D2240 Contents of supply 1 x SAUTER HBA 100-0 analogue Shore hardness tester 1 x Sturdy storage box 1 x Detailed operating instructions Individual requirements & accessories To eliminate the human factor from the force-displacement equation used in Shore measurements, we strongly recommend that certified quality assurance laboratories use a manual test rig (such as the SAUTER TI-AC). This applies the standard load precisely and lowers the test block onto the material sample at a perfectly orthogonal angle. For the regular verification of the mechanical spring constant in your laboratory, we also offer standardised Shore A reference plates. Our procurement service, which specialises in materials science, will be happy to configure a test setup for you that complies with the relevant standards.

IKA ROTAVISC SBS me-vi HELI Complete rotary viscometer, robust ball bearing system, 0010013683
The IKA ROTAVISC SBS me-vi HELI Complete rotational viscometer is a highly optimised mechatronic system solution, offering exceptional mechanical robustness, designed for the precise rheological characterisation and viscosity determination of medium-viscosity, pasty and viscous media. This turnkey complete system has been specifically developed for intensive, continuous use in the chemical industry, in cosmetics and pharmaceutical production, and in the field of paint, varnish and polymer research. When handling demanding substance classes such as creams, gels, adhesives, resins or emulsions, the precise measurement of temperature-dependent flow behaviour is the primary criterion for optimising formulations whilst minimising damage to the material and for controlling manufacturing processes reliably. Maximum mechanical resilience thanks to the SBS steel ball bearing The key material and design feature of the “SBS” model series (Steel Ball Bearing System) is the elimination of the traditional, delicate tip bearing. Instead, this viscometer features a high-precision, extremely robust steel ball bearing system. In the demanding day-to-day laboratory environment and when handling high sample volumes in multi-user operations, this mechanical system architecture effectively protects the instrument from damage caused by transverse forces, such as those that can arise when heavy spindles are rapidly rotated in and out. This minimises the risk of transient axial errors, which significantly extends the service life of the measuring head and ensures long-term calibration stability. Prevention of channeling via the motorised HELIPATH drive The process-engineering foundation for the investigation of non-flowing or viscoelastic phases is provided by the motorised HELIPATH stand system included in the package. With structurally viscous or thixotropic samples, standard rotating spindles tend, during steady-state operation, to cut a gap in the medium (known as channeling). This leads to a transient loss of contact with the medium and distorts the measurement data. The HELIPATH drive reliably eliminates this phenomenon by moving the viscometer head continuously and slowly up and down vertically during the measurement cycle. The rotating T-spindle thereby traces a three-dimensional helix (screw line) and constantly cuts into fresh, undisturbed sample material. Intelligent measurement data analysis and full GLP compliance The ROTAVISC me-vi’s electronic control system covers the medium viscosity range continuously and guarantees a measurement accuracy of plus/minus 1 per cent of the full measurement range, with a reproducibility of plus/minus 0.2 per cent. A high-contrast, large 4.3-inch TFT colour display visualises all transient rheological data as well as the torque trend in real time. As the viscosity of fluid-mechanical systems is strongly influenced by temperature, the integrated PT1000 sensor ensures seamless thermodynamic monitoring directly within the medium. Via the integrated USB and RS232 interfaces, the entire system can be fully digitised, enabling legally compliant, GLP-compliant documentation of all quality processes. SAUTER TD 225-0.1US Ultrasonic Material Thickness Gauge, external sensor, 225 mm
Wave mechanics in non-destructive testing (NDT) In industrial quality control, the monitoring of pressure vessels and the preventive maintenance of pipework systems, the precise determination of wall thicknesses is a safety-critical factor. The SAUTER TD 225-0.1US is a high-precision metrological instrument for non-destructive testing (NDT). The device is based on the physical pulse-echo method. A piezoelectric transducer in the external 5 MHz probe generates high-frequency mechanical longitudinal waves, which are coupled into the workpiece under test. As soon as these ultrasonic waves strike the material-specific back wall (the interface between the material and air), they are reflected almost entirely due to the massive impedance jump. The device’s integrated microelectronics measures the exact time-of-flight of the sound through the medium and uses this to calculate the absolute material thickness with a resolution of 0.1 mm. This process enables the comprehensive detection of internal corrosion or abrasion without compromising the structural integrity of the component. Acoustic impedance and variable sound speeds As mechanical waves propagate at different speeds in different molecular lattice structures, precise measurement requires the instrumental parameters to be precisely adapted to the material in question. The SAUTER TD 225-0.1US allows the material-specific speed of sound to be adjusted. This means the instrument can be calibrated not only for metallic isotropic materials such as steel, cast iron or aluminium, but also for homogeneous plastics, quartz glass or ceramics. This thermodynamic and acoustic flexibility makes the device a universal tool in the metalworking industry, shipbuilding and chemical plant engineering, where different alloys must be monitored for the slightest signs of material fatigue. Metrological integrity and acoustic coupling A fundamental physical problem in ultrasonic testing is the total reflection of high-frequency waves at microscopic air gaps between the sensor and the workpiece surface. To ensure perfect acoustic transmission (coupling) into the material, the system must be operated with a special ultrasonic coupling gel. The external, detached probe head enables the inspection of areas that are geometrically difficult to access or curved pipe walls. To metrologically compensate for thermal drifts in the electronics or mechanical wear of the piezo crystal, a solid zero-plate reference block (calibration block) is integrated directly onto the housing of the measuring device. This allows for immediate system calibration under real-world field conditions before the start of each critical measurement series. Digital data acquisition and field use The measuring system is specifically designed for harsh, mobile industrial field use. The robust, ergonomic housing protects the sensitive digital signal processing (DSP) hardware from mechanical shocks. For laboratories subject to strict ISO standards or GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) guidelines, the TD 225-0.1US features an RS-232 data interface. This enables the seamless export of measurement values to an external PC or printer for tamper-proof digital documentation of wall thickness trends and corrosion rates over extended maintenance intervals. Technical details Non-destructive ultrasonic measurement method Measurement range in steel from 1.2 to 225 mm High readability to exactly 0.1 mm External piezoelectric sensor operating at 5 MHz Adjustable material-specific sound velocity Integrated reference plate for system calibration RS-232 digital data interface for PC High-contrast LCD display for direct reading of measured values Automatic power-off function to conserve battery life Battery operation for mobile field use Robust housing design for harsh industrial environments Contents of the pack 1 x SAUTER TD 225-0.1US material thickness gauge 1 x external ultrasonic sensor (5 MHz) 1 x bottle of ultrasonic coupling gel 1 x Robust carrying case 4 x 1.5 V AAA batteries 1 x Detailed operating instructions Individual requirements & accessories As the coupling gel is essential for acoustic contact and thus for the physical feasibility of the measurement, we recommend ordering larger stock quantities (e.g. SAUTER ATB-US03) for routine operation. For a measurement that is verifiably compliant with standards in certified facilities, an initial ISO calibration certificate is also advisable. Our procurement service, staffed by metrology-trained specialists, will be happy to organise the issuance of the necessary calibration certificates for you, as well as the procurement of specialised sensors for different material thicknesses.

WTW inoLab ® pH 7110 Set 4 Laboratory pH Meter (with SenTix 81), 1AA114
The WTW inoLab ® pH 7110 Set 4 (MPN 1AA114) is the ‘precision package’ of the 7110 series, designed for laboratories that do not wish to compromise on measurement quality, even when dealing with challenging samples. Whilst the main unit offers the tried-and-tested, simple operation without complex menus, the key advantage of this set lies in the sensor technology: instead of a standard gel electrode, it includes the SenTix ® 81. This high-quality glass electrode with liquid electrolyte (KCl 3 mol/l) delivers more stable and faster readings than maintenance-free alternatives, even in protein-rich media, suspensions or during rapid temperature changes. Measurement performance and AutoRead The inoLab ® pH 7110 (with DIN connector) focuses on the essentials: precise measurement readings. The integrated ‘AutoRead’ function automatically monitors electrode drift and only locks the reading once the signal is stable. This eliminates subjective reading uncertainties. Together with the SenTix ® 81, whose platinum diaphragm ensures a constant electrolyte flow, you can thus achieve extremely high reproducibility. Operation and Calibration Despite being a high-end electrode, it remains intuitive to use. A large LCD segment display clearly shows all relevant information. Calibration is carried out using 1 to 3 points with automatic buffer recognition (WTW TEC or DIN/NIST). An adjustable calibration timer reliably reminds you to carry out regular maintenance to ensure the system’s high accuracy is maintained over the long term. The device features a smooth, easy-to-clean membrane keypad. KERN PNJ 3000-2M Precision Balance, tuning fork measurement system, internal calibration, suitable for verification
The KERN PNJ 3000-2M precision balance represents a high-end metrological system solution for high-precision weighing applications in laboratories, industrial quality control and in legally regulated, calibration-required environments. Based on the innovative tuning-fork principle, this measuring instrument combines outstanding thermal stability with mechanical robustness and extremely short settling times. Wherever reliable mass measurements up to a maximum weighing range of 3,200 grams are required in a professional B2B environment, this laboratory balance guarantees gentle handling of materials, efficient operation and process reliability of the highest standard. Innovative tuning fork measuring system and thermodynamic stability The metrological foundation of the PNJ 3000-2M is its highly advanced tuning fork measurement system (Tuning Fork Technology). In direct comparison to conventional strain gauges or electromagnetic force-compensating load cells, this system operates using an oscillating quartz tuning fork. By coupling the change in mechanical frequency to the applied load, a transient, digital measurement value is generated, operating with virtually no wear. The system is characterised by excellent resistance to fluctuations in ambient temperature, achieves a remarkable settling time of just around 3 seconds, and saves valuable waiting time during sequential measurement series in the demanding day-to-day laboratory environment. Automatic internal calibration for seamless GLP compliance A key functional feature of the balance is the integrated, automatic internal adjustment (indicated by the ‘J’ in the model designation). The system continuously monitors the thermodynamic conditions and, upon detecting a temperature change or at predefined time intervals, initiates a fully automatic calibration using an internal calibration weight. Alternatively, this adjustment process can be triggered manually at any time at the touch of a button. For quality management personnel, this ensures seamless GLP/GMP compliance, as the balance independently safeguards its metrological chain and reliably eliminates measurement drifts. Verifiable system architecture and ergonomic design The PNJ 3000-2M has a type approval for verification in accordance with European accuracy class II. With a verification value of 0.1 gram and a readability of 0.01 gram, it meets all legal requirements for use in pharmacies (compounding balance), in the precious metals trade or for official analyses. The balance is fitted with a generous, square weighing pan made of stainless steel (190 x 190 mm), which allows for easy and residue-free cleaning. A large, high-contrast LCD display guides the user intuitively through the menu structure and, via an integrated capacity indicator (bar graph), constantly displays the remaining weighing range to prevent mechanical overload whilst protecting the equipment. KERN CXB 30K2 counting scale, stock-taking and order-picking scale, 30 kg / 2 g
The tireless professional for stocktaking and logistics: the KERN CXB 30K2 counting scale In modern warehouse logistics, during regular annual stock-taking or in the daily picking of production goods, time is an absolutely critical and costly factor. Counting small parts such as screws, nuts, sealing rings, plastic injection-moulded parts or electronic components by hand is not only extremely time-consuming but also highly prone to errors. It is precisely at this critical point in your value chain that the KERN CXB 30K2 counting balance (MPN CXB 30K2) comes into its own. As a robust, precise and extremely user-friendly specialist for counting large quantities, it transforms a tedious process that would otherwise take hours into a matter of seconds. This scale is the ideal tool for industrial businesses, wholesalers, workshops and all companies that need to determine exact quantities on a daily basis for dispatch or efficient stock management. Powerful combination of capacity and resolution The KERN CXB 30K2 model is characterised by its generously sized weighing range of up to 30 kilograms. This means you can easily place even very heavy Euro crates, fully packed cardboard boxes or larger storage containers directly onto the scale without reaching the device’s mechanical capacity limits. This high load capacity is combined with an exceptionally fine readability of just 2 grams. In practice, this means that the scale reliably registers even very light individual items and precisely calculates the total number of items from the total weight. This intelligent combination of strength and precision makes the CXB 30K2 the perfect all-rounder for an extremely wide range of components, raw materials and materials in demanding everyday industrial use. Maximum clarity thanks to the three-display system An outstanding feature of this professional counting balance is its ergonomic and excellently designed display concept. The device features three separate, highly legible and brightly backlit LCD displays. At a single glance, you can immediately see all the relevant parameters for your current operation: the first display shows the total weight of the goods on the platform. The middle display continuously shows you the exact reference weight of a single, previously weighed item. The third display – the most important one for logistics professionals – provides you with the resulting total number of items in the box in real time. With the KERN CXB 30K2, there is no need for time-consuming switching between different views or laborious navigation through complex digital sub-menus. Operation via the membrane keypad is designed to be so intuitive that even untrained staff, temporary workers or seasonal staff can use the device accurately and highly productively during stock-taking after only a minimal induction period. Smart functions for an optimised workflow To further speed up your picking, filling or packaging processes, the scale is equipped with a highly innovative ‘Fill-to-Target’ function (target count function). You can programme a desired target quantity – for example, exactly 500 screws for an assembly kit – directly into the system in advance. As you quickly fill the carton on the scale with parts, the device alerts you with a clear audible signal as soon as the preset target value is reached exactly. This effectively prevents the costly overfilling of packaging (so-called ‘give-aways’) whilst reliably protecting you from frustrating customer complaints due to insufficient delivery quantities. This system is complemented by the practical PRE-TARE function. If you know the weight of your standard storage container (such as a standardised KLT box), you can manually enter and save this tare weight using the numeric keypad. The scale automatically subtracts this tare weight, so you can immediately see the pure net weight and the exact number of parts contained within. Robust industrial design and unlimited mobility In harsh warehouse, dispatch and industrial environments, a scale has to be able to withstand a great deal. The KERN CXB 30K2 comes as standard with a large, easy-to-clean and hard-wearing weighing plate made of high-quality stainless steel, which can easily withstand heavy impacts, scratches and sharp-edged metal parts. Another absolutely crucial highlight for the modern logistics sector is this device’s unrestricted mobility. The scale features an integrated, high-performance rechargeable battery. This enables completely mains-independent operation for up to 200 hours. Instead of having to laboriously transport heavy pallets and crates to a stationary scale using a pallet truck, you can simply take the compact CXB 30K2 directly to the relevant storage location in the warehouse. This saves a huge amount of walking, reduces the physical strain on staff and makes the scale an indispensable, flexible companion for mobile stock-taking on key dates. A dirt-repellent housing and a safety cover included in the scope of delivery round off the professional package and guarantee a long, maintenance-free service life even in dusty or dirty working environments. Technical Specifications Weighing range (max): 30 kg Resolution (d): 2 g Minimum item weight (standard): 2 g/item Displays: 3 x LCD displays (backlit, digit height 18 mm) Counting resolution: 30,000 points Functions: Piece counting, reference weight optimisation, Fill-to-Target (target count function with alarm), PRE-TARE Keypad: Numeric keypad for quick entry of reference weights and tare values Weighing plate: Stainless steel, dimensions approx. 300 × 225 mm Power supply: Internal rechargeable battery (operating time up to 200 hours without backlight) and mains adaptor Dimensions (W×D×H): 300 × 330 × 110 mm Net weight: approx. 4.0 kg Contents 1 x KERN CXB 30K2 counting scale 1 x stainless steel weighing plate 1 x safety cover 1 x mains adapter 1 x User manual (DE) Customised requirements & accessories If you intend to use the balance in an ISO-certified facility, we recommend that you also order a DAkkS calibration certificate ex works to ensure full compliance with standards. SAUTER TN 80-0.1US Ultrasonic Material Thickness Gauge, external sensor, 80 mm
Wave mechanics and acoustic time-of-flight analysis In industrial quality assurance (QA), the monitoring of high-pressure pipelines and non-destructive testing (NDT), the detection of minimal corrosion and material fatigue is critical to safety. The SAUTER TN 80-0.1US quantifies wall thicknesses using the physical pulse-echo method. The instrument emits mechanical longitudinal waves into the workpiece. When these high-frequency sound waves strike the interface between the solid and the surrounding air (back wall), the massive impedance jump results in an almost complete reflection of the sound. An integrated DSP microcontroller measures the exact time-of-flight of the echo to the nearest microsecond. Taking into account the material-specific speed of sound, the processor uses this to calculate the absolute material thickness with a high metrological resolution of 0.1 millimetres, without compromising the structural integrity of the component. High-frequency transduction for thin-walled isotropic materials An outstanding physical feature of the TN 80-0.1US model is its specialised external measuring head. Unlike standard probes (usually 5 MHz), this piezoelectric ultrasonic transducer operates at an increased frequency of 7 MHz. The physical consequence of this increase in frequency is a significantly shorter wavelength within the medium. This enables a vastly improved axial near-field resolution. As a result, the instrument is capable of detecting extremely thin wall thicknesses from 0.75 millimetres in steel with high precision. The instrument is therefore ideally suited for testing thin sheets, thin-walled tanks, glass plates or homogeneous plastics, where low-frequency sound waves would fail due to near-field interference. Thermodynamic drift compensation and acoustic coupling The speed of sound in a solid is not an absolute constant, but is subject to thermodynamic fluctuations and material-specific differences in alloy composition. The measurement system allows for variable, stepless adjustment of the sound velocity (between 1000 and 9999 m/s). To compensate for temperature-induced measurement deviations in the piezo crystals, the robust housing features an integrated zero-plate reference block (calibration block). This enables immediate system calibration under real-world conditions. To eliminate the physical total internal reflection of sound at microscopic air pockets between the sensor and the workpiece, the use of an acoustic coupling gel is mandatory, as this guarantees loss-free wave transmission. Digital data acquisition in harsh industrial environments The SAUTER TN 80-0.1US is not only a precise measuring instrument but also a self-contained data logger. For inspection laboratories carrying out comprehensive ISO documentation, the device features an internal memory for extensive measurement series (20 files, each containing up to 100 individual values). These data sets can be transferred via the integrated USB interface to peripheral devices for long-term analysis of corrosion rates, in a tamper-proof manner. The compact design and battery operation ensure unrestricted mobility when inspecting hard-to-reach industrial installations. Technical details Non-destructive pulse-echo ultrasonic method Measurement range in steel from 0.75 to 80 mm Metrological resolution of exactly 0.1 mm External piezoelectric transducer operating at 7 MHz Shorter wavelength for precise close-range resolution Infinitely adjustable sound velocity (1000–9999 m/s) Integrated zero-plate reference block for field calibration Internal data memory for up to 2000 measured values USB data interface for digital PC analysis High-contrast LCD display for direct visualisation Automatic power-off to extend battery life Contents of the pack 1 x SAUTER TN 80-0.1US ultrasonic material thickness gauge 1 x external ultrasonic sensor (7 MHz) 1 x bottle of ultrasonic coupling gel 1 x Sturdy carrying case 2 x 1.5 V AA batteries 1 x USB data cable 1 x Detailed operating instructions Individual requirements & accessories Seamless physical coupling of the ultrasonic waves is the foundation of every NDT measurement. We therefore recommend stocking up on sufficient coupling gel (e.g. SAUTER ATB-US03) in advance for large-scale industrial inspections. WTW inoLab ® pH 7110 BNC Laboratory pH Meter (base unit), 1AA120
The WTW inoLab ® pH 7110 BNC (MPN 1AA120) is the minimalist solution for routine laboratories seeking the highest measurement accuracy without unnecessary complexity. This model focuses purely on the measurement task: it offers the same high-quality measurement electronics as its larger counterparts in the 7310 series (accuracy of up to ±0.005 pH), but does without elaborate documentation functions or data storage. The key technical difference with this model is the BNC connector. Unlike the DIN plug normally used by WTW, the BNC socket offers maximum compatibility. It allows existing specialised electrodes from other manufacturers to continue to be used, or the use of sensors with standard BNC plugs, without the need for expensive adapter cables. AutoRead and operating concept Operation is kept to the essentials: a large, segmented LCD display shows all values at a glance, whilst the smooth, easy-to-clean keypad minimises input errors. The “AutoRead” function ensures process reliability: it monitors the drift of the electrode and only releases the measured value once it has stabilised. This eliminates subjective reading errors and guarantees reproducible results, even when used by less experienced staff. Calibration and Timer Although designed as an entry-level instrument, the 7110 supports 1- to 3-point calibration with automatic buffer recognition (WTW TEC or DIN/NIST). A built-in calibration timer periodically reminds the user of the need for recalibration to maintain measurement quality over the long term. Temperature compensation is carried out separately via two 4 mm banana sockets, allowing the connection of external temperature sensors. Technical details pH measurement range: -2.000 … +19.999 pH Accuracy (pH): ±0.005 pH mV measurement range: ±1200.0 / ±2000 mV Accuracy (mV): ±0.3 mV Temperature measurement range: -5.0 … +105.0 °C Calibration: 1-, 2- or 3-point (WTW / DIN/NIST) pH connection: BNC socket Temperature connection: 2 × 4 mm banana sockets Display: LCD segment display (black and white) Power supply: Universal mains adaptor or 4 × 1.5 V AA batteries Protection rating: IP 43 Contents inoLab ® pH 7110 BNC meter Universal mains adaptor Tripod User manual Note: This offer (1AA120) does not include a pH electrode. KERN ADJ 200-4 analytical balance, self-calibrating, 220 g / 0.1 mg
The best-value balance with uncompromising precision: KERN ADJ 200-4 analytical balance Weighing in the sub-milligram range is a daily, yet error-prone, challenge for any analytical laboratory. A brief draught when opening the door, the morning sun beginning to shine onto the laboratory bench, or the air conditioning switching on – these factors can alter environmental conditions so significantly that high-precision measurement results may be compromised. Standard basic balances would then have to be laboriously recalibrated and adjusted manually using expensive, external test weights. With the KERN ADJ 200-4 analytical balance (MPN ADJ 200-4), this time-consuming problem is finally a thing of the past. This model is the undisputed best value for money in the range of analytical balances, offering users the luxury and standard-compliant functionality of fully automatic, internal adjustment. You get absolute top-class precision with a readability of 0.1 mg (equivalent to 0.0001 g) across an impressive maximum weighing range of 220 g. Reliability thanks to intelligent automatic calibration The greatest technical and economic advantage of the KERN ADJ 200-4 is its motor-driven calibration weight, which is discreetly integrated into the housing. The balance’s electronics continuously monitor its immediate surroundings. As soon as the sensors detect a temperature change of ≥ 2 °C, the instrument initiates a calibration process completely independently and fully automatically. But that’s not all: even if the temperature in a highly climate-controlled laboratory remains absolutely constant, the instrument calibrates itself precisely every 3 hours on a timed basis for its own safety. For you as a user, this offers three key benefits: Location independence: You can use the balance in different locations within the laboratory or move it around flexibly without having to call on the testing equipment officer for recalibration every time. GLP/ISO compliance: Your measurements are guaranteed to be error-free throughout the entire working day and can be documented without hesitation for rigorous audits. Significant time savings: The morning routine of manually warming up, balancing and adjusting the balance using tweezers and test weights is completely eliminated. Wide weighing range meets extreme resolution With a capacity of 220 g, the balance stands out from smaller entry-level models. This high capacity is particularly crucial in day-to-day use when you are using heavy tare vessels – such as thick-walled Erlenmeyer flasks, bulky measuring cylinders or large beakers – yet still need to weigh tiny sample quantities in the range of tenths of a milligram with precision into these vessels. The balance responds in a flash and, thanks to its advanced force compensation technology, typically delivers an absolutely stable weight reading within just 3 seconds. This greatly speeds up routine tasks such as the calibration of micropipettes, the precise preparation of standard solutions for HPLC, or the formulation of gravimetric mixtures. Ergonomics and protection through thoughtful design A reading of 0.0001 g is extremely sensitive to even the slightest air currents. The KERN ADJ 200-4 is therefore fitted as standard with a spacious, easily accessible glass draught shield. This features three smooth-running sliding doors (left, right and top). This well-thought-out design allows both left- and right-handed users equally comfortable, ergonomic and shake-free access to the sample. At the same time, the robust housing made of cast aluminium, combined with antistatic plastic, prevents electrostatic charges from interfering with the highly sensitive sensor. Such charges frequently occur when handling powdery samples or when using plastic containers. The balance is operated via a logically structured, self-explanatory keypad with just 6 keys, so you do not have to navigate through complicated digital sub-menus. For precise horizontal levelling, the instrument features a clearly visible spirit level and non-slip, adjustable levelling screws on the underside. Connectivity and seamless documentation for your quality management system In certified, accredited or pharmaceutical laboratories, simply measuring weight is only half the story; seamless, tamper-proof traceability is just as essential. For this purpose, the analytical balance is equipped with a standard RS-232 data interface. Via this port, you can easily and reliably connect the instrument to an optionally available KERN Matrix label printer or an Ethernet adapter. This enables automatic, standards-compliant GLP/ISO report printing, including the current date, the exact time and the specific balance identification number. Furthermore, the balance performs a range of intelligent additional functions for you: in addition to standard weight measurement, the model is capable of percentage weighing (determining the deviation as a percentage from a defined target value) as well as the precise counting of extremely light small parts with a selectable reference count. Technical Specifications Weighing range (max): 220 g Resolution (d): 0.0001 g (0.1 mg) Settling time: approx. 3 seconds Minimum sample weight (USP): 400 mg Reproducibility: 0.0002 g Linearity: ± 0.0004 g Calibration system: Internal (motor-driven, automatic at ≥ 2 °C change or every 3 hours) Weighing pan diameter: 90 mm Materials: Stainless steel weighing pan, cast aluminium/plastic housing, glass draught shield Interface: RS-232 as standard (for printer or PC) Housing dimensions (W×D×H): 230 × 310 × 330 mm Net weight: approx. 5.0 kg Contents 1 x KERN ADJ 200-4 analytical balance including 3-door glass draft shield 1 x stainless steel weighing pan (Ø 90 mm) 1 x universal mains adaptor (including adapters for the EU, UK and USA) 1 x Detailed operating instructions in German Individual requirements & accessories An important detail for your rigorous quality management: even though the balance calibrates itself with high precision, according to many standards this does not replace regular, certified external verification! We therefore strongly recommend ordering the instrument directly from the factory with a DAkkS calibration certificate (formerly DKD). Do you often work with extremely dry, electrostatically charged powders that stick to the spatula? In that case, an external KERN ioniser is the perfect addition to prevent the sample from ‘flying off’ the weighing pan. Please feel free to contact our expert procurement service at any time to put together the ideal accessories – such as anti-vibration tables, matrix printers or calibration certificates – for your specific laboratory workstation.
KERN CPE 15K-3 Compact Counting Scale, 15 kg / 0.5 g, 3 displays
Counting instead of weighing: the KERN CPE 15K-3 for stock-taking and warehousing The KERN CPE 15K-3 is a professional compact counting balance, specially developed for fast and error-free use in order picking, stocktaking or production. Where items used to be laboriously counted by hand (e.g. screws, electronic components or plastic parts), the CPE delivers the exact result in a fraction of a second. With a weighing range of 15 kg and a readability of 0.5 g, it perfectly covers the most important range of items in a small parts warehouse. The 3-display concept: everything at a glance The biggest advantage of a genuine counting balance over a standard balance with a counting function is the three separate displays. You can keep an eye on all the relevant values at all times without having to press any buttons: Total weight: How much does the entire weighing pan weigh? Reference weight: How much does a single item weigh (unit weight)? Total number of items: How many items are on the scale? The large, backlit LCD displays are easy to read even in dark warehouses. Efficiency through memory and target function PLU memory: Do you frequently count the same items? The KERN CPE has 100 item memory slots (PLU) for reference weights and tare deductions. Simply call up the item at the touch of a button – this saves a huge amount of time. Fill-to-Target (target counting function): Do you need to pack parcels containing exactly 1,000 screws? Programme in the target quantity. An audible and visual signal alerts you as soon as the target value is reached. This prevents overfilling or underfilling. High mobility: Thanks to the integrated rechargeable battery (optional/standard depending on configuration – please check) and the compact design, you can take the scale straight to the shelf location. Robust and practical The large stainless steel weighing plate (315 x 215 mm) is hard-wearing, easy to clean and offers enough space for counting trays or cardboard boxes. IKA ROTAVISC SBS hi-vi I HELI Complete Viscometer Set, 0010013658
Precise viscosity measurement for highly viscous samples The IKA ROTAVISC SBS hi-vi I HELI Complete is a high-performance rotational viscometer specially developed for demanding measurements in highly viscous media. With an extremely wide measuring range of 200 to 80,000,000 mPas, it is perfectly suited to pastes, ointments, gels and polymer melts. The “Complete” package offers a ready-to-use solution including the innovative HELISTAND™ motorised stand, which enables the measurement of non-flowing samples through a slow up-and-down movement, thereby preventing channeling in the medium. Ball bearing technology for continuous load The abbreviation “SBS” (Steel Ball Bearing, Suspended) refers to this instrument’s special bearing technology. Equipped with a robust ball bearing system instead of a conventional jewel bearing system, the ROTAVISC SBS is extremely durable. This makes it ideal for demanding continuous use in quality control, as well as for applications where frequent spindle changes or rough handling are the order of the day – without compromising on precision. Maximum functionality and documentation The instrument features a generous 4.3" TFT display with intuitive menu navigation. Functions such as the ramp function, Newtonian/non-Newtonian analysis, and the direct display of viscosity, torque, shear rate and shear stress simplify day-to-day work. The viscometer can be connected directly to a PC via the USB or RS 232 interface to control measurement series using the optional labworldsoft ® 6 software and to document them in accordance with ISO standards. Technical details Viscosity measurement range: 200 – 80,000,000 mPas Viscosity accuracy: 1 % Viscosity repeatability: 0.2% Bearing type: Ball bearing (SBS) Rotational speed range: 0.01 – 200 rpm Display: 4.3" TFT Interfaces: USB, RS 232, analogue output, connection for temperature sensor (PT 100) Operating temperature (measurement): –100 to +300 °C (depending on accessories) Motor stand stroke: 142 mm (HELISTAND) Protection class according to DIN EN 60529: IP 40 Dimensions (W x H x D): 351 x 629 x 372 mm (complete assembly) Weight: 7.1 kg Scope of supply ROTAVISC SBS hi-vi I (viscometer head) ROTASTAND (stand) HELISTAND (motorised stand for non-flowing samples) SP set-2 (spindle set) T-SP set (T-spindles for HELISTAND) PT 100.8 (temperature probe) Power supply & USB cable Customised requirements & procurement service Do you require special spindles for low viscosities, adaptors for small sample volumes or a software licence for labworldsoft ®? IKA ROTATEMP lo-vi Package, viscometer set including heating system (300 °C), low-viscosity, 0010014004
Precision at high temperatures for low-viscosity media: IKA ROTATEMP lo-vi Package The IKA ROTATEMP lo-vi Package (MPN 0010014004) is the ideal system solution for determining the viscosity of low-viscosity substances at high temperatures. Where standard viscometers reach their limits – because the medium is solid at room temperature (e.g. waxes) or only exhibits the desired flow properties when heated (e.g. certain oils, hot-melt adhesives) – this set delivers reliable data. It combines the high-precision ROTAVISC lo-vi viscometer with the powerful ROTATEMP high-temperature oven. “lo-vi” for the low viscosity range The key difference compared to other packages is the measuring head: the ROTAVISC lo-vi (“Low Viscosity”) is specially calibrated for the measuring range from 1 to 6,000,000 mPas. This ensures the highest accuracy, particularly in the lower range, where even the slightest differences matter. The large 4.3" TFT display guides you intuitively through the measurement, shows all parameters and assists with levelling. Temperature control up to 300 °C The ROTATEMP oven included in the set ensures the perfect environment for your sample. It heats the medium quickly and in a controlled manner up to 300 °C. Thanks to advanced control technology, temperature fluctuations are minimised, which is essential for reproducible viscosity measurements. Rapid heating (approx. 16 minutes to maximum temperature, depending on the medium) boosts efficiency in your day-to-day laboratory work. Smart integration and documentation For comprehensive rheological investigations, the viscometer and oven can be linked via the labworldsoft ® software (optional). This enables fully automated temperature ramps: measure how the viscosity of your product changes as it is slowly cooled or heated – and document everything comprehensively. Complete kit for immediate use This package contains all the components required for high-temperature measurements: Viscosity meter: ROTAVISC lo-vi (standard configuration). Heating system: ROTATEMP oven. Mounting: ROTASTAND stand system for precise positioning. Accessories: A special spindle set and the PT 100.8 temperature sensor.
