Meditrade Nitrile Black Examination Gloves, Black, Powder-free, Pack of 100 (Sizes S to XL), 1284
Black nitrile gloves have now become almost standard in the tattoo and beauty industries, as the dark colour gives a professional appearance and any ink or pigment residue is not immediately noticeable. Meditrade Nitril Black examination gloves are powder-free, latex-free, disposable nitrile gloves with a micro-textured, elastic and tear-resistant surface, available in sizes S, M, L and XL, each in packs of 100. Latex-free for sensitive skin The gloves are completely latex-free and are therefore a suitable choice for staff with a diagnosed type 1 latex allergy, regardless of the area of application. The tear strength is 6 N, tested to an AQL value of 1.5, the standard sampling inspection level for the integrity of disposable gloves. Thickness varies by zone The Nitril Black gloves feature varying thicknesses across different zones: the thickness on the palm is 0.07 mm (± 0.02 mm), on the fingertips 0.10 mm (± 0.02 mm) for added grip on the fingertips, and 0.05 mm (± 0.02 mm) at the cuff for easier donning. This variation in thickness is common in nitrile gloves, as the fingertips are subject to the highest mechanical stress, whilst the wrist primarily requires elasticity. Nitrile as the material of choice Nitrile is a synthetic rubber which, unlike natural latex, does not contain the allergy-triggering latex proteins, whilst offering greater puncture and chemical resistance than latex. For businesses that avoid natural latex entirely for hygiene or compliance reasons, nitrile is therefore the obvious alternative to traditional latex gloves. Furthermore, nitrile retains its shape well even after prolonged wear, which noticeably enhances comfort throughout the entire shift in professions where gloves are changed frequently throughout the day. Tested to EN 455 and EN 374 Nitril Black complies with EN 455 (Parts 1 to 4) for medical disposable gloves, as well as the test standards of the EN 374 series (Parts 1 to 5) for protective gloves against microorganisms and chemicals. In addition, they are tested in accordance with EN ISO 21420:2020, the basic standard for protective gloves in general, and with EN 16523-1 for determining resistance to chemical permeation. The manufacturer also classifies them as food-safe, which is relevant, for example, for inspection tasks in food processing or the catering industry. EN 16523-1 specifies how long it takes and to what extent a chemical penetrates the glove material, providing an additional indicator alongside the pure microorganism barrier as defined by EN 374. Selection guide: choosing the right size The size range starts at S and goes through M and L to XL; an XS size is not available for this model. We can provide width and length measurements on request; when selecting a size, we also recommend comparing it with the size of a disposable glove you already own that fits well. For those looking for a light-coloured glove for food processing rather than the dark contrasting colour, the Meditrade Nitrile 3000 in white offers an alternative with identical wall thickness and additionally documented carton and pallet dimensions. For businesses using colour-coding by station or shift, the Meditrade Nitrile Viola in purple is also available. Anyone requiring a variant tested against blood-borne pathogens with a wider size range up to XXL will find this in the Meditrade Nitrile NextGen. Use and disposal We can provide details of storage conditions and shelf life on request. According to the manufacturer, the glove is non-sterile and intended for single use; it can be worn on either hand. After use, disposable gloves are usually disposed of as clinical waste; contaminated gloves are disposed of separately in accordance with internal hazardous substances regulations. Typical applications The black colour of these nitrile gloves makes them suitable for a variety of sectors and applications: Tattoo and beauty salons, where black is an established, professional-looking colour Catering and event venues, to ensure a uniform, smart appearance for staff Laboratory and examination work, where light-coloured powders, tablets or crystals are more visible on dark gloves than on light-coloured ones General examination and routine tasks where a latex-free, food-safe disposable glove is required For example, when portioning powders or granules in the laboratory, it is immediately apparent whether any residue has become trapped on the dark glove, a contrast that a natural-coloured glove does not provide. Assessing your needs correctly: the pack of 100 for everyday use Nitril Black is sold in packs of 100 per size. A simple rough calculation can help with demand planning: at a rate of 10 gloves per workstation per day, one pack covers around two working weeks; at 30 gloves per day, it lasts for three to four working days. For businesses with higher consumption of several sizes simultaneously, it is advisable to stock several packs of the relevant sizes straight away, so that no workstation runs out of a particular size. The AQL value of 1.5 indicates the maximum number of defective gloves per batch that are tolerated within the framework of statistical sampling; a lower value indicates a stricter inspection. If you stock several sizes at the same time, you can distinguish between the packs of 100 at a glance using the manufacturer’s item number, without having to open the individual packs first. Meditrade NextGen Nitrile Examination Gloves, blue, 100 pcs., sizes XS–XXL, 1283X
In day-to-day laboratory work, a nitrile glove must do two things at once: provide reliable protection whilst being so unobtrusive that you forget you’re wearing it whilst working. The Meditrade Nitrile NextGen is designed precisely for this purpose. It is blue, powder-free, latex-free and holds dual certification: as a Class I medical device and as Category III personal protective equipment. This means that a single pack covers what would otherwise require two different types of gloves in the cupboard. Blue nitrile gloves: why the colour matters In laboratory and medical settings, blue is the established signal colour for disposable gloves. It stands out clearly against most work materials, which has two practical advantages. Firstly, a tear or hole is spotted more quickly because of the high contrast with the skin. Secondly, a torn piece of glove is easier to spot in a production process or in a sample than one that is a natural colour. In food processing, this is precisely why blue gloves have been the standard there for years: the colour is virtually never found naturally in food. Thickness, tear resistance and grip The glove is deliberately designed to be thin so that tactile sensitivity is maintained. The thickness is 0.07 mm on the palm, 0.10 mm on the fingertips and 0.07 mm on the back of the hand, in each case with a tolerance of 0.02 mm. The slightly greater thickness on the fingers is no coincidence; this is the area subject to the greatest mechanical stress. Despite the thin material, the median tear strength is at least 6.0 N, both when new and after artificial ageing. This is the more relevant of the two values, as gloves are rarely found on the shelf straight from production. The surface is micro-textured. This ensures a good grip when vessels, pipettes or instruments are damp, without the need to grip any tighter than necessary. The rolled cuff stabilises the glove whilst putting it on and prevents it from rolling down whilst working. With a length of at least 240 mm, it extends securely over the wrist. Latex-free, powder-free, protein-free The Nitrile NextGen is manufactured without natural rubber latex and is therefore suitable for people with a diagnosed type 1 latex allergy. As it is also powder-free, it does not contain maize starch dust, which acts as an allergen carrier in powdered gloves and is a source of particles that can cause disruption in cleanrooms or during sensitive analyses. The glove is also free from mercaptobenzothiazoles and thiurams, two groups of accelerators that are frequently responsible for type 4 contact allergies. However, it does contain dithiocarbamates, which is why it should not be used by anyone with a known hypersensitivity to this group of substances. Dual certification: medical device and PPE Category III As an examination glove, the Nitrile NextGen complies with the EN 455-1 to EN 455-4 series and is classified as a Class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745. At the same time, it is Category III personal protective equipment (PPE) under Regulation (EU) 2016/425, i.e. the highest category intended to protect against irreversible damage to health. This is demonstrated by testing in accordance with EN 374-1, -2, -4 and -5, as well as EN 16523 for permeation and ASTM F 1671 for the penetration of blood-borne pathogens. The general requirements for protective gloves set out in EN 21420:2020 are also met. The gloves are tested for freedom from holes with an AQL of 1.5. They are manufactured under a quality management system in accordance with EN ISO 13485:2016. The gloves are expressly suitable for contact with food. Typical areas of use Laboratory: sample preparation, handling reagents and disinfectants, work at the workbench, cleaning glassware Medicine and care: examinations, taking samples, changing dressings, patient contact Food processing: Portioning, packaging, order picking, work relating to production hygiene Industry and cleaning: handling cleaning and disinfectant chemicals, assembly and testing work requiring a delicate touch A typical real-world scenario: In a routine laboratory, samples are prepared in the morning, analytical work is carried out at midday, and disinfection takes place in the afternoon. Anyone who has to keep three different types of gloves on hand for this has three stocks to manage and three potential sources of error when reaching into the box. A glove that complies with both EN 455 and PPE Category III, and is also food-safe, reduces this to a single item. Storage and shelf life Store in a cool, dry place and protect from direct sunlight. The shelf life is 3 or 5 years depending on the batch; the exact date is stated on the packaging. The glove is non-sterile and intended for single use only; reuse is not permitted, even after cleaning, as changes in the material cannot be reliably detected. Meditrade Nitrile 3000 Examination Gloves, White, Powder-free, 100 Pieces (sizes S to XL), 1280X
You don’t always need specialist equipment for your daily use of nitrile gloves. Meditrade Nitrile 3000 examination gloves are the standard white nitrile gloves in the Meditrade range available from LT Laborhandel; they are powder-free, latex-free and come with fully documented packaging and pallet dimensions for logistics planning. Available in sizes S to XL, each in packs of 100. Latex-free with a tried-and-tested basic formulation The glove is made from nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) containing the following ingredients: antioxidant, sulphur, zinc oxide, zinc diethyldithiocarbamate, zinc dibutyl dithiocarbamate, titanium dioxide and potassium hydroxide; it is free from mercaptobenzothiazole and thiurams and, according to the manufacturer, is not manufactured using natural rubber latex. The textured surface with a rolled cuff ensures a secure fit and makes the gloves easier to put on and take off. Thickness from the cuff to the fingertips According to the data sheet, the thickness at the shaft is 0.05 mm (± 0.02 mm), at the palm 0.07 mm (± 0.02 mm) and at the fingertip 0.10 mm (± 0.02 mm), ensuring that the greatest mechanical stress is absorbed at the fingertips. The tear strength is at least 6 N both before and after artificial ageing, tested with an AQL value of 1.5. White as a neutral base colour Unlike the coloured variants of the Meditrade nitrile range, Nitrile 3000 is available in a neutral white colour, which is regarded as the standard colour for examination gloves in many organisations and is compatible with almost any corporate design or hygiene concept. For organisations with no specific need for colour-coding or additional testing, it is therefore often the obvious first choice before a more specialised variant, such as a contrasting colour or an additionally tested version, is considered. Class I medical device and Category III PPE The Nitril 3000 is classified as a Class I medical device in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and as Category III personal protective equipment in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/425. It complies with EN 455 (Parts 1 to 4), EN 374-1, -2, -4 and -5, EN 16523-1 for chemical permeation, EN 420:2003+A1:2009 and EN 21420:2020, and is manufactured under a quality management system certified to EN ISO 13485:2016. According to the data sheet, it is also suitable for contact with food. Selection guide: choosing the right size At LT Laborhandel, the Nitril 3000 is available in sizes S to XL, with widths ranging from 80 mm (± 10 mm) for size S to over 110 mm for size XL. SizeManufacturer’s item no.WidthLength S1280S80 mm (± 10 mm)min. 240 mm M1280M95 mm (± 10 mm)min. 240 mm L1280L110 mm (± 10 mm)min. 240 mm XL1280XL> 110 mmmin. 240 mm Distinctions within the nitrile range Within the Meditrade nitrile range at LT Laborhandel, the Nitril 3000 is the standard white version with fully documented packaging and pallet dimensions. Anyone looking for the same glove in a dark contrasting colour for tattooing, cosmetic or laboratory work involving light-coloured powders will find the Meditrade Nitrile Black, which offers the same range of thicknesses. For businesses using colour-coding, the Meditrade Nitrile Viola in purple is also available. If you require a variant that has been additionally tested against blood-borne pathogens and is available in sizes up to XXL, look for the Meditrade Nitril NextGen. Use, storage, shelf life and disposal According to the data sheet, the shelf life is 3 or 5 years, provided the gloves are stored in a cool, dry place and protected from direct sunlight. The gloves are non-sterile, ambidextrous and intended for single use. According to the information in the data sheet, they contain dithiocarbamates, which should not be used by anyone with a known hypersensitivity to these substances. After use, the gloves are disposed of as clinical waste or via the internal hazardous waste disposal system, depending on the degree of contamination. Typical applications As the basic variant of the nitrile range, the Nitril 3000 is suitable for a wide range of applications: General examination and routine tasks in medical practices, laboratories and care settings Food processing and catering, for which the glove is suitable according to the data sheet Businesses that require a light-coloured, neutral glove without the need for additional testing Logistics-intensive businesses that can plan precisely thanks to documented carton and pallet dimensions For example, during incoming goods inspection in food processing, the same type of glove can be used consistently, from sampling right through to packaging checks. A neutral, widely used basic variant is also practical in training and educational contexts, as it is not tied to a specific workstation or colour-coding scheme. Assessing requirements correctly: from the pack to the box The Nitril 3000 is sold in packs of 100 pieces per size. According to the manufacturer, one carton holds 10 packs, i.e. 1,000 gloves, with a pallet containing 72 cartons (carton dimensions 29.5 x 26.0 x 25.0 cm). A simple rough calculation helps with demand planning: at a consumption rate of 10 gloves per workstation per day, one pack covers around two working weeks; at 30 gloves per day, it lasts for three to four working days. For larger businesses with multiple workstations, the carton dimensions can also be used to plan storage logistics directly, for example, how many cartons will fit on a pallet or on a warehouse shelf. This makes capacity planning easier, particularly for larger businesses with their own warehousing, without having to first request the dimensions separately from the manufacturer. Why a basic version can be a sensible choice Not every business requires the additional ASTM F-1671 testing offered by NextGen or colour-coding by workstation. Where the nitrile glove is primarily intended to provide reliable basic protection in accordance with EN 455 and EN 374, with traceable logistics, the Nitrile 3000 is a cost-effective choice without compromising on tear strength, AQL value or certification compared to the other variants in the range. Frequently asked questions about the Nitril 3000 Is the Nitrile 3000 latex-free?Yes, according to the manufacturer, it is produced without natural rubber latex. Is the glove sterile? No, according to the data sheet, the Nitril 3000 is a non-sterile, single-use glove. How thick is the glove?According to the data sheet, 0.05 mm on the shaft, 0.07 mm on the palm and 0.10 mm at the fingertips, with a tolerance of ± 0.02 mm in each case. How big is a carton and how many fit on a pallet?A carton holds 1,000 gloves (10 packs of 100 each) and measures 29.5 x 26.0 x 25.0 cm; a pallet holds 72 cartons. Are the gloves suitable for food contact?Yes, according to the data sheet, they are suitable for contact with food. Can I order individual gloves instead of the whole pack? No, the pack of 100 pieces per size is the smallest unit sold. How does the Nitril 3000 differ from the coloured variants in the range? It shares the same material and thickness grades as Nitril Black and Nitril Viola, but is the only variant in neutral white without an additional colour-coding function. Meditrade Gentle Skin Grip, latex examination gloves, powder-free, 100 pieces – M, 1221GRIP-M
Wet instruments, oily tools or slippery packaging put many disposable gloves to the test: as soon as the surface becomes damp or greasy, the grip decreases noticeably. According to the manufacturer, Meditrade Gentle Skin Grip latex examination gloves are the most grippy latex gloves in the Meditrade range. An acrylic polymer coating on a textured surface provides extra grip where smooth gloves reach their limits. Available in sizes XS to XL, each in packs of 100. Acrylic polymer coating for extra grip In addition to the ingredients typically found in latex gloves, natural rubber latex, sulphur, zinc oxide, zinc diethyldithiocarbamate, zinc dibutyl dithiocarbamate, titanium dioxide and antioxidants, the Grip range also features an acrylic polymer coating on the textured surface. This coating is the key difference compared to traditional latex gloves without any special grip optimisation and, according to the manufacturer, improves grip, particularly when handling damp, oily or powdery surfaces. The glove is free from mercaptobenzothiazole and thiurams. Thickness from the cuff to the fingertips According to the manufacturer’s data sheet, the thickness at the cuff is at least 0.08 mm, at the palm at least 0.11 mm and at the fingertips at least 0.12 mm, ensuring that the greatest material thickness is available at the point subject to the most stress. The tear strength is at least 6 N both before and after artificial ageing, tested with an AQL value of 1.5 for the absence of holes in the batch. The rolled hem also makes it easier to put on and take off the gloves, even when the hands themselves are already damp. Class I medical device and PPE Category III The glove complies with EN 455 (Parts 1 to 4) for single-use medical gloves, as well as EN 374-1, -2, -4 and -5 for protection against microorganisms, supplemented by EN 16523-1 for chemical permeation and EN 420:2003+A1:2009 as the general standard for protective gloves. It is classified as a Class I medical device in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and as Category III personal protective equipment under Regulation (EU) 2016/425, and is manufactured under a quality management system certified to EN ISO 13485:2016. Why smooth gloves reach their limits in wet conditions A purely textured glove without an additional coating loses some of its grip when it comes into contact with water, oil or cleaning agents, because a thin film of liquid forms between the glove and the workpiece. This is precisely where the acrylic polymer coating of the Gentle Skin Grip comes into its own: According to the manufacturer, it increases friction even in damp conditions without compromising the elasticity of the natural latex. For standard dry tasks without any particular risk of slipping, however, a simpler latex glove from our range is often sufficient. Selection guide: choosing the right size As with the other Gentle Skin gloves, the size range from XS to XL is based on the width of the hand, measured at the widest point excluding the thumb. SizeManufacturer’s item no.WidthLength XS1221GRIP-XS< 80 mmmin. 240 mm S1221GRIP-S80 mm (± 10 mm)min. 240 mm M1221GRIP-M95 mm (± 10 mm)min. 240 mm L1221GRIP-L110 mm (± 10 mm)min. 240 mm XL1221GRIP-XL> 110 mmmin. 240 mm Distinction within the Gentle-Skin latex range Within the Meditrade latex range available from LT Laborhandel, the Grip differs from the other two variants primarily due to its coating. Those who, on the other hand, require a particularly fine sense of touch for pipetting and laboratory work are better served by the low-protein Meditrade Gentle Skin Sensitive, which has a slightly thinner wall thickness of 0.13 mm at the fingertip. For general routine use without any specific grip or protein requirements, the Meditrade Gentle Skin compact+ is available, with a comparable basic wall thickness. All three are certified to EN 455 and EN 374 and are classified as a Class I medical device and PPE Category III. Those wishing to avoid natural latex entirely will find latex-free alternatives in our range of nitrile gloves, although these do not feature the grip coating described here. Use, storage, shelf life and disposal According to the data sheet, the shelf life is 3 or 5 years, provided the gloves are stored in a cool, dry place and protected from direct sunlight. The gloves are non-sterile, ambidextrous and intended for single use only. As the gloves are made from natural rubber latex, the manufacturer expressly warns of the risk of allergic or even anaphylactic reactions. After use, the gloves are disposed of as operational waste or via the internal hazardous waste disposal system, depending on the level of contamination. Typical applications The non-slip coating makes the Gentle Skin Grip ideal for use wherever moisture or grease would otherwise make a firm grip difficult: Cleaning and processing of laboratory glassware and instruments, often in contact with water or cleaning agents Handling oily or greasy components in workshops and industry Packaging and order-picking tasks involving frequent changes of material Examination and care tasks where a secure grip on damp surfaces is required For example, when rinsing and sorting laboratory glassware under running water, the grip is maintained, whereas an uncoated glove would slip more easily in the same situation. The difference compared to a smooth glove surface is also clearly evident when handling greasy seals or lubricants in the workshop. Assessing your requirements correctly: from the pack to the box Gentle Skin Grip is sold in packs of 100 per size; according to the manufacturer’s data sheet, a box contains 10 packs, i.e. 1,000 gloves. A simple rough calculation can help with demand planning: at a rate of 10 gloves per workstation per day, one pack covers around two working weeks; at 30 gloves per day, it lasts for three to four working days. Businesses with multiple workstations or frequent glove usage should ideally stock several packs of the appropriate size to ensure that no workstation runs out of a particular size. Frequently asked questions about Gentle Skin Grip What sets the Grip apart from other latex gloves? The textured surface is additionally coated with an acrylic polymer, which, according to the manufacturer, improves grip on damp or oily surfaces. Is the glove sterile? No, according to the data sheet, it is a non-sterile, single-use glove. How thick is the glove? The thickness is at least 0.08 mm on the cuff, 0.11 mm on the palm and 0.12 mm at the fingertips. Is the Grip suitable for people with a latex allergy? No, the glove is made of natural rubber latex and, according to the manufacturer, may trigger allergic or even anaphylactic reactions. What is the shelf life of the glove?According to the data sheet, 3 or 5 years when stored in a cool, dry place, protected from direct sunlight. Is the Grip coating also available on a latex-free glove? For this data sheet, the coating is only documented for the latex version. For a latex-free alternative offering comparable grip performance, our procurement service will be happy to assist you with your selection. What sizes are available?XS, S, M, L and XL, each with its own width specification as per the data sheet, ranging from under 80 mm to over 110 mm. Can I order individual gloves instead of the whole pack? No, the product is sold exclusively in packs of 100 per size. Meditrade Gentle Skin Sensitive Latex Gloves, natural colour, powder-free, 100 pieces, size L, 1221RLT
Anyone who spends many hours in a laboratory or in a care setting pipetting, decanting samples or handling delicate instruments will quickly realise whether a glove is helpful or more of a hindrance. Meditrade Gentle Skin Sensitive latex gloves are low-protein natural latex gloves designed specifically for this kind of fine motor work: powder-free, thin-walled and with a stretch that moulds closely to the hand without causing fatigue even when worn for hours on end. Available in sizes XS to XL, each pack containing 100 gloves. Low-protein thanks to a multi-stage processing method Natural latex naturally contains water-soluble proteins which can trigger skin reactions in sensitised individuals. The Sensitive range is therefore processed using a multi-stage washing process and additionally undergoes double chlorination, which reduces the protein content whilst also allowing the gloves to be put on easily without powder. This does not make the glove completely latex-free; it remains a natural rubber product containing natural rubber latex, sulphur, dithiocarbamate, zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, potassium hydroxide, calcium carbonate, polyacrylate and colour pigments. If you have a known Type 1 latex allergy, a nitrile glove from our range is therefore the safer choice. Gradual thickness variation from the palm to the fingertips According to the manufacturer’s data sheet, the thickness at the palm is at least 0.11 mm, and at the fingertips 0.13 mm (± 0.02 mm), slightly thicker to provide additional tactile sensitivity and mechanical strength precisely where the greatest stress occurs during gripping and pipetting. The tear strength is at least 6 N both before and after artificial ageing, tested with an AQL value of 1.5 for the absence of holes in the batch. The textured, micro-roughened surface with a rolled hem also ensures a secure grip, whether used dry or in contact with aqueous solutions. Class I medical device and PPE Category III The glove complies with EN 455 (Parts 1 to 4) for single-use medical gloves, as well as EN ISO 374-1, -2, -4 and -5 for protection against microorganisms, supplemented by EN 16523-1 for chemical permeation and EN ISO 21420:2020 as the basic standard for protective gloves in general. It is classified as a Class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and as Category III personal protective equipment under Regulation (EU) 2016/425, and is manufactured under a quality management system certified to EN ISO 13485:2016. According to the data sheet, it is also suitable for contact with food, which is relevant, for example, for sample preparation in food analysis. Latex or nitrile: when it’s worth switching Natural latex offers high elasticity with low mechanical stress, which means the Gentle Skin Sensitive fits snugly to the hand and provides a particularly fine sense of touch. However, natural latex is less suitable for tasks involving non-polar solvents such as oils or fats, as the material can swell. In such cases, or where there is a known latex allergy, a nitrile glove from our range is the more appropriate choice, offering a comparable fit but greater chemical resistance. Selection guide: choosing the right size The size range extends from XS to XL and is based on the width of the hand, measured at the widest point excluding the thumb. A glove that is too tight causes the hand to tire more quickly when worn for long periods, whilst a glove that is too loose reduces both tactile sensitivity and a secure grip. Anyone who, in addition to a fine sense of touch, requires greater grip on damp or oily surfaces will find this in the textured Meditrade Gentle Skin Grip with its acrylic polymer coating. For day-to-day routine use without the protein-reduced processing of the Sensitive range, the Meditrade Gentle Skin compact+, with a comparable wall thickness, is an obvious alternative from the same product family. All three share the same basic construction made from natural latex with a rolled cuff and certification to EN 455 and EN ISO 374-1, but differ in wall thickness, surface treatment and protein content. Those who wish to avoid natural latex altogether will find a latex-free alternative in our range of nitrile gloves. Use, storage, shelf life and disposal According to the manufacturer, the gloves are suitable for all areas where there is a risk of contamination, ranging from highly infectious situations in hospitals and doctors’ surgeries, through the care sector and laboratories, to the pharmaceutical industry, cleaning and industrial applications. According to the data sheet, the shelf life is 3 or 5 years, provided they are stored in a cool, dry place and protected from direct sunlight. The gloves are non-sterile and intended for single use only; used gloves are disposed of as clinical waste or via the internal hazardous waste disposal system, depending on the level of contamination. It is recommended that the gloves be changed at the latest upon the first visible sign of damage or soiling, even if the specified shelf life of 3 or 5 years has not yet been reached. Typical applications The low-protein formulation makes the Gentle Skin Sensitive particularly suitable for situations where tactile sensitivity and skin compatibility are both essential: Sample preparation and pipetting tasks in the laboratory where dexterity is required Care and examination tasks involving frequent glove changes throughout a shift Food analysis and quality control, where the glove is suitable for food contact according to the data sheet Cleaning and routine tasks in the pharmaceutical industry and industrial settings For example, when pipetting a series of samples over several hours, the thin-walled material on the palm and fingertips can be utilised without the hand tiring prematurely, an advantage over thicker standard gloves. Assessing requirements correctly: from the pack to the carton Gentle Skin Sensitive is sold in packs of 100 per size. According to the manufacturer’s specifications, one carton contains 10 packs, i.e. 1,000 gloves, with a pallet comprising 56 cartons. A simple rough calculation can help with demand planning: at a rate of 10 gloves per workstation per day, a pack of 100 will last for around two working weeks; at 30 gloves per day, it will last for three to four working days. For businesses with multiple workstations or varying sizes, it is advisable to stock several packs of the appropriate size straight away, to ensure that no workstation runs out of a particular size. WTW SenTix 41 analogue pH electrode, integrated temperature sensor, 103635
The WTW SenTix 41 analogue pH electrode is a tried-and-tested electrochemical system solution for reliable, low-maintenance pH measurement in routine laboratory applications, educational institutions and field measurements. Designed for use with classic analogue pH meters from the WTW inoLab and Profiline series, this high-quality electrode offers precise signal transmission and extremely simple handling. For daily monitoring measurements in aqueous media, wastewater samples or environmental investigations, the focus is on straightforward, rapid deployment – which this robust combination probe guarantees whilst being gentle on materials and ensuring process reliability. Traditional analogue technology and integrated temperature compensation The mechatronic system architecture of the SenTix 41 is based on reliable, analogue signal transmission. The measured potential is transmitted via a shielded fixed cable directly to the analogue input stage of the pH meter. A key functional feature is the NTC 30 kOhm temperature sensor integrated into the sensor head. This sensor measures the sample temperature simultaneously with the pH value, enabling the connected meter to perform automatic temperature compensation in real time. This reliably eliminates thermodynamically induced measurement errors caused by fluctuating ambient temperatures, without the need to immerse a separate temperature sensor in the sample. Low-maintenance gel electrolyte and mechanical breakage protection The material design is consistently optimised for durability and minimal maintenance in everyday laboratory use. The electrode is fitted with a chemically resistant and extremely break-resistant POM plastic shaft. This shaft encloses the sensitive glass membrane like a mechanical protective cage and prevents damage in the event of falls or contact with vessel walls. A maintenance-free gel electrolyte, combined with a tried-and-tested fibre diaphragm, serves as the reference system. This sealed system permanently eliminates the need for the tedious refilling of liquid KCl solution and significantly reduces the risk of diaphragm blockages in multi-user operations. Universal connectivity and ergonomic laboratory use To ensure seamless integration into equipment, the SenTix 41 features a permanently attached 1-metre cable terminated in tried-and-tested standard connectors. The pH channel is connected via a standard DIN plug, whilst the integrated temperature sensor is connected via a 4 mm banana plug. This standardised plug combination guarantees universal compatibility with a wide range of analogue measuring stations on the market. The flexible cable ensures optimal ergonomic movement and allows fatigue-free working when carrying out sequential measurements on larger sample series directly at the workstation. Meditrade Gentle Skin Compact+ Latex Gloves, Natural White, Pack (100 Pieces), 1221I
Even where natural rubber latex is not required, its elasticity and comfort make it the first choice amongst disposable gloves for many users. Meditrade Gentle Skin compact+ latex gloves are powder-free, natural white, online-chlorinated for easy donning and doffing, and available in packs of 100 in sizes XS to XL. Natural rubber latex for high elasticity The glove is made from natural rubber latex with a textured surface and a rolled cuff. The online chlorination process reduces the material’s natural stickiness, making the glove easier to put on and take off than an untreated latex variant, even with slightly damp hands. The high inherent elasticity of natural rubber ensures a snug, second-skin fit, which many users prefer to nitrile for tasks requiring fine motor skills, as the glove adapts more directly to the shape of the hand. Thickness for delicate tasks According to the data sheet, the median thickness at the palm and fingertips is at least 0.11 mm in each case, with a median length of at least 240 mm. The width varies according to size: under 80 mm for XS, 80 mm (± 10 mm) for S, 95 mm (± 10 mm) for M, 110 mm (± 10 mm) for L and over 110 mm for XL. The tear strength is at least 6 N on average, both before and after artificial ageing, tested with an AQL value of 1.5. Class I medical device and Category III PPE The Gentle Skin compact+ is classified as a Class I medical device in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and as Category III personal protective equipment in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/425. It complies with EN 455 (Parts 1 to 4), EN ISO 374-1/-2/-4/-5 and EN ISO 21420:2020, and is manufactured under a quality management system certified to EN ISO 13485:2016. Important note for those with a latex allergy As a natural rubber product, the glove contains dithiocarbamates (ZDC, ZDBC) according to the data sheet, for which there is a warning regarding possible allergic reactions. However, it is free from mercaptobenzothiazole and thiurams, two other common contact allergens used in rubber processing. Organisations with staff or customers known to have a latex allergy should switch to a nitrile-based alternative. Compact pack of 100 as a sales unit Unlike some nitrile variants in the range, which are sold in large cartons containing several thousand pieces, Gentle Skin compact+ is deliberately available in a handy pack of 100. This is ideal for businesses that regularly reorder smaller quantities without having to stock a whole box of 1,000 pieces, such as smaller medical practices or departments with lower throughput. Typical applications As a powder-free, highly elastic latex examination glove, the Gentle Skin compact+ is suitable for, amongst other things: Examination and care activities requiring a high degree of tactile sensitivity and dexterity Medical practices and clinics where there are no known cases of latex allergy amongst staff or patients Routine laboratory work where the high elasticity of natural rubber latex is preferred over nitrile Short-term tasks involving frequent glove changes, thanks to the compact pack of 100 For example, during examinations requiring fine motor skills, such as palpating small structures, the snug fit of natural rubber latex can be utilised to great effect, whilst the compact pack size ensures that a fresh pack is always to hand, even for less frequent tasks, rather than having to keep a large carton in stock. In training situations too, where groups of trainees rotate, the 100-pack makes it easier to track consumption per group than with a large carton. Packaging: from individual pack to carton Gentle Skin compact+ is sold in packs of 100 pieces per size. According to the manufacturer, one carton holds 10 packs (1,000 pieces), with a pallet containing 54 cartons. The individual pack measures 120 x 215 x 70 mm, whilst the carton measures 245 x 360 x 225 mm, dimensions that aid storage planning in first-aid cupboards or stock rooms. Anyone looking for a powder-free latex alternative with a different grip surface will find it in the Gentle Skin Grip from the same product range. The entire latex range can be found under ‘Latex gloves’. Memmert UN30 Universal Oven, compact heating and drying oven with natural convection, 32 litres, up to 300 °C
The Memmert UN30 universal cabinet is the most compact model in the Memmert universal cabinet range and operates using purely natural convection rather than an active fan. With an internal volume of 32 litres, a temperature range of 20 to 300 °C and a unit weight of around 45 kg, it fits on a laboratory bench, where space is usually more limited than in the equipment area of a permanent laboratory. As there is no active air circulation inside the chamber, the UN30 is particularly suitable for applications where vibration-free and low-dust operation are more important than the shortest possible heating time, such as when gently drying light samples or fine powders.Natural convection for vibration-free, low-dust operationUnlike the UF models in the series, the Memmert UN30 universal oven deliberately does not feature an air turbine or a recirculation motor. Heat rises within the chamber purely by convection, without a fan setting air, dust or light sample components in motion. As a result, the operating temperature range starts from at least 5 °C above room temperature up to 300 °C, whilst the forced-air models in the UF series only start from 10 °C above room temperature; however, thanks to forced air circulation, they heat up more quickly and distribute the temperature more actively. For samples that are sensitive to air movement – such as loose powders, fine fibres or specimens that must not be blown away by draughts – the UN30’s natural convection is the ideal choice. A DIN Class A Pt100 temperature sensor with 4-wire measurement ensures the same setting accuracy as in the larger models, despite the simpler airflow principle: 0.1 °C to 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C.ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY: compact operation with a full range of functionsDespite its compact design, the UN30 does not compromise on any of the control functions found in the larger models. The ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY, an adaptive, multifunctional digital PID microprocessor controller with a TFT colour graphic display, regulates temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit, as well as the position of the exhaust air damper, programme duration, time zone and summer/winter time. As no air turbine is fitted, the only parameter omitted is that for the recirculation fan speed. A digital countdown timer with target time can be set from 1 minute to 99 days; the SetpointWait function only starts the process time once the setpoint temperature has been reached. The data logger can be read out and managed via the Ethernet interface; a time-limited trial version of the AtmoCONTROL software is available for download, whilst a USB stick containing the full version is available as an optional accessory.Compact dimensions of the Memmert UN30 universal chamberThe internal dimensions are 400 x 320 x 250 mm, whilst the external dimensions are 585 x 704 x 434 mm. One electropolished stainless steel wire shelf is included as standard; the cabinet can accommodate up to three shelves in total. The maximum load capacity is 60 kg for the entire unit and 20 kg per insert, which is entirely sufficient for smaller sample batches and individual containers. As with the larger models, the interior consists of easy-to-clean stainless steel, reinforced by deep-drawn ribbing, with protected, integrated 4-sided all-round heating; the housing is made of textured stainless steel with a fully galvanised sheet steel rear panel. The fully insulated stainless steel door locks via a 2-point compression door latch. The UN30 is connected to a 230 V or 115 V supply, in each case at 50/60 Hz, with a power consumption of around 1,600 W.Selection guide: choosing the right size from the UN seriesThe Memmert universal cabinet series with natural convection covers a range of internal volumes from 32 to 749 litres. The UN30 is the smallest model in the range. When choosing the right size, the key factors – apart from internal volume – are the footprint and the number of shelves required; not every larger model takes up more floor space than the next smaller one.ModelInternal volumeUN3032 l, footprint 585 x 434 mm, max. 3 shelvesUN5553 l, footprint 585 x 514 mm, max. 4 shelvesUN7574 l, footprint 585 x 514 mm, max. 6 shelvesUN110108 l, footprint 745 x 584 mm, max. 5 shelvesUN260256 l, footprint 824 x 684 mm, max. 9 shelvesUN450449 l, footprint 1,224 x 784 mm, max. 8 shelvesUN750749 l, footprint 1,224 x 784 mm, max. 14 shelvesThe UN30 is the right choice when space on the laboratory bench is limited and only a few samples are being processed at a time. If the number of samples increases, the Memmert UN55 universal cabinet is the obvious next size up, offering 53 litres instead of 32 and 4 shelves instead of 3, whilst taking up only slightly more floor space. All seven sizes in the series can be found in the LT Laborhandel range of climate chambers and incubators.Distinction: TwinDISPLAY and the forced-air versionWithin the UN30 series, the most important purchasing decision is between SingleDISPLAY and TwinDISPLAY. The UN30 described here operates with a single Pt100 sensor and one display; for unattended processes with higher safety requirements, the Memmert UN30plus universal cabinet offers two redundant Pt100 sensors as well as two TFT displays instead of one. Those who would instead prefer to benefit from the shorter heating-up time offered by active air circulation and do not require vibration-free operation will find the Memmert UF30 universal cabinet to be the equivalent model featuring forced air circulation rather than natural convection, whilst retaining the same internal volume of 32 litres.Safety in accordance with DIN 12880, even in the smallest modelThe UN30 also features adjustable electronic temperature monitoring plus a mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 in accordance with DIN 12880, which switches off the heating when the temperature reaches approximately 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature. A self-diagnostic system assists with fault-finding, and three freely selectable temperature values can be calibrated. CE and EAC markings, as well as a UL certification mark, are present.Application, installation and disposalThe same installation rules apply to the Memmert UN30 universal cabinet when placed on a laboratory bench as for the larger models in the series: a minimum clearance of 15 cm from the wall, a maximum clearance of 20 cm from the ceiling, and a minimum clearance of 5 cm on each side from a wall or adjacent unit. It may be installed at altitudes of up to 2,000 m above sea level at ambient temperatures of 5 °C to 40 °C and a maximum relative humidity of 80 per cent, non-condensing. Electrically, the UN30 is designed for overvoltage category II and pollution degree 2; it must only be transported in an upright position. The interior, made of easy-to-clean stainless steel, can be cleaned using standard laboratory cleaning products. As an electrical appliance, the UN30 is subject to the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act at the end of its service life and must not be disposed of with household waste; see Regulatory Information below.Typical applicationsThe compact Memmert UN30 universal oven is suitable wherever space is limited or where vibration-free, low-dust heat treatment is more important than a short heating-up time.Drying small sample quantities and laboratory glassware on the laboratory benchVibration-free drying of dust- or air-sensitive samplesTempering, ageing and baking of small material samplesRoutine tests in quality assurance, schools and trainingA compact addition or secondary unit in laboratories with limited spaceInvestment rationale: keep it compact or opt for greater safety straight awayThe UN30 is supplied with 1 electro-polished stainless steel wire mesh shelf; the cabinet is designed to accommodate up to 3 shelves. For day-to-day operation under supervision, the SingleDISPLAY of the UN30 described here is generally sufficient. If a process runs unattended overnight, the redundant sensor system of the Memmert UN30plus universal chamber reduces the risk of an undetected sensor failure. For visual inspection without opening the door, a fully transparent glass door with 4-layer insulation up to 250 °C or 300 °C is available as an option, as are interior lighting and a stacking kit, which allows two UN30 units to be stacked on top of one another to save space. Anyone wishing to use the data logger permanently, rather than just with the time-limited trial version, should add an AtmoCONTROL software licence. For pharmaceutical or standards-compliant applications, we arrange calibration, IQ/OQ and maintenance services, including those accredited by DAkkS in accordance with DKD-R 5-7.Frequently asked questions before purchaseDoes the UN30 fit on a standard laboratory bench?Yes, with a net weight of around 45 kg and external dimensions of 585 x 704 x 434 mm, the UN30 is designed for use on a laboratory bench, provided that the bench can safely support the load. How many samples can fit into the UN30 at once? One wire rack is included as standard; up to 3 inserts, each with a maximum load of 20 kg, are possible, giving a total load capacity of up to 60 kg.Is natural convection sufficient for uniform drying? For most routine applications, yes. Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 31 Ultrasonic Bath, 0.9 L, 35 kHz, 329
Sensor tips, small cannulas, jewellery or individual cuvettes do not require a large bath for ultrasonic cleaning; rather, they need a bath that delivers uniform cavitation to every corner of the tank. With a total capacity of 0.9 l, the Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 31 is the smallest model in the SUPER RK series and is designed specifically for these small-item cleaning tasks in laboratories, medical practices and workshops.Small tank, noticeable cavitationAt an operating frequency of 35 kHz, the RK 31 generates a peak power of 160 watts at a rated power of 40 watts, distributed across a single transducer system. This is sufficient for the small tank volume of 0.9 l (working capacity 0.6 l); larger SUPER RK models, such as the RK 514 BH, on the other hand, operate with four transducers covering a significantly larger area. The automatic SweepTec function continuously adjusts the frequency slightly, thereby preventing standing waves in the ultrasonic field; as a result, the cleaning effect remains uniform even in small volumes.Thin stainless steel bath for the laboratory benchThe ultrasonic bath is made of 1.4301 stainless steel with a thickness of 0.8 millimetres; the housing is made from the same material. The internal dimensions of 190 x 85 x 60 mm and the compact external dimensions of 205 x 100 x 180 mm ensure that the unit, with a net weight of 2.2 kg, can still be accommodated even on already occupied work surfaces. The RK 31 is operated via a robust rotary handle; the timer ranges from 1 to 15 minutes in 5 per cent increments, and continuous operation is also available. No drain, no heating, but simpleThe data sheet explicitly states that this model has no drain; a ball valve is not provided for this size. With a capacity of 0.9 l, the basin can be emptied directly over the edge after the cleaning cycle; an additional connection would be rather cumbersome in this case. Similarly, the RK 31 does not feature a heating element. Anyone requiring heating for cleaning in the same size will find the RK 100 H, the next larger, heated model in the same series.Selection guide for the SUPER RK seriesThe SUPER RK series from Bandelin covers a wide range: from the RK 31 with a 0.9-litre capacity to the RK 1050 with a total capacity of 58 l. If you are only cleaning individual small parts, sensor tips or cuvettes, the RK 31 is the right choice. If the batch size increases to include several instruments or small glass vessels, it is worth considering the RK 100 H (3.0 l, heated) or the RK 103 H (4.0 l, heated and with a drain). For entire sieves or beakers, the larger models from the RK 510 (9.7 l) upwards are the more suitable choice.SUPER RK, DIGITEC DT and smart ST comparedIn addition to the SUPER RK series with classic rotary knob control, Bandelin offers the DIGITEC DT series with push-button control, an LED display and DEGAS degassing, as well as the smart ST series with a touchscreen, finely adjustable power control and programme memory. Those who only clean occasionally and value straightforward, robust operation would be well advised to choose a SUPER RK model such as the RK 31. LT Laborhandel also stocks Elma Elmasonic ultrasonic baths, an alternative for laboratories already equipped with this brand.Use and maintenanceThe working capacity of 0.6 l is deliberately set below the total capacity of 0.9 l, as space must be left for the items being cleaned when filling the bath; otherwise, the liquid will spill over the rim. As for the cleaning solution itself, Bandelin offers its own TICKOPUR range of concentrates; for the SONOREX PR series of pipette cleaners, this is included in the set, whilst a suitable concentrate for the RK 31 must be purchased separately. Freshly prepared cleaning fluid contains dissolved air, which initially dampens cavitation; a short pre-run in continuous operation before the actual cleaning process dispels it. The stainless-steel basin is compatible with most aqueous cleaning agents; however, abrasive sponges or chlorine-based agents should still be avoided. At the end of the working day, it is best to empty and dry the basin.Typical applicationsCleaning of small sensor tips, cannulas and needlesPrecision cleaning of jewellery and small metal partsPre-cleaning of precision mechanical components and watch movementsCleaning individual cuvettes or small sample vessels in the laboratoryFrequently asked questionsIs the SONOREX SUPER RK 31 heated? No, the RK 31 is the unheated version of this model. A heated variant with a similar volume is the RK 100 H.Does the unit have a drain? No, the technical data sheet does not specify a ball valve for the RK 31; with a capacity of 0.9 l, the bath is emptied directly. Is the RK 31 a medical device? Yes, it is classified as a Class I medical device in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and is also CE-compliant with the Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS Directives. Are the basket and lid included in the scope of delivery? Memmert UF160 Universal Oven, heating and drying oven with forced circulation, 161 litres, up to 300 °C
Within the eight-tier UF series with forced convection, the Memmert UF160 universal oven marks the exact point at which a benchtop unit becomes a floor-standing oven: 161 litres’ internal volume, a temperature range of 20 to 300 °C and up to 8 shelves for the daily rotation of different batches. The air turbine, which can be electronically controlled in 10 per cent increments, actively distributes the heat throughout the interior and brings samples up to temperature more quickly and evenly than natural convection alone. From drying freshly cleaned laboratory glassware, through the tempering, ageing and firing of material samples, to curing in quality assurance, the UF160 thus covers a wide range of applications in laboratories and industry.Circulating air for even temperature distribution and short heating-up timesThe air turbine in the Memmert UF160 universal oven can be controlled electronically in 10 per cent increments and actively distributes heat throughout the interior, rather than simply allowing it to rise, as is the case with a natural convection oven. As a result, the UF160 reaches its operating temperature range from as low as 10 °C above room temperature up to 300 °C more quickly than a natural convection unit, which only starts operating from around 5 °C above room temperature but operates without any air movement inside the chamber. A DIN Class A Pt100 temperature sensor with 4-wire measurement ensures a setting accuracy of 0.1 °C up to 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C. Those running many different batches with varying setpoint temperatures benefit from the shorter heating phases achieved through active air circulation.ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY: Operation, programming and data acquisitionThe UF160 is controlled via the ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY, an adaptive, multifunctional digital PID microprocessor controller with a high-resolution TFT colour graphic display. Settings include temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit, the speed of the air circulation motor, the position of the exhaust air flap, the programme duration, as well as the time zone and summer/winter time. A digital countdown timer with target time can be set from 1 minute to 99 days; the SetpointWait function only starts the actual process time once the setpoint temperature has actually been reached, which ensures reproducible results in time-critical drying or ageing processes. The integrated data logger can be read, managed and organised via the Ethernet interface; a time-limited trial version of the AtmoCONTROL software is available for download to get you started.Capacity and connections of the Memmert UF160 universal chamberThe interior of the UF160 accommodates up to 8 shelves; 2 electropolished stainless steel grids are included as standard. The cabinet can be loaded with a total of up to 210 kg; a maximum of 20 kg is permitted per shelf. The internal usable space measures 560 x 720 x 400 mm; the external dimensions of the cabinet are 745 x 1,104 x 584 mm, and the net weight is approximately 96 kg. The interior consists of easy-to-clean stainless steel, reinforced by deep-drawn ribbing, with protected, integrated 4-sided all-round heating; the housing is made of textured stainless steel with a fully galvanised sheet steel rear panel. The UF160 can be connected either to 230 V (approx. 3,200 W) or 115 V (approx. 1,800 W), in both cases at 50/60 Hz; a single-phase connection is still sufficient for this size.Selection guide: choosing the right size from the UF rangeEight sizes ranging from 53 to 1,060 litres internal volume make up the Memmert UF range with forced air circulation, each also available with TwinDISPLAY. When selecting the appropriate size, the key factors – alongside the internal volume – are the footprint and the number of shelves required; not every larger model automatically requires more floor space.ModelInternal volumeUF5553 l, footprint 585 x 514 mm, max. 4 shelvesUF7574 l, footprint 585 x 514 mm, max. 6 shelvesUF110108 l, footprint 745 x 584 mm, max. 5 shelvesUF160161 l, footprint 745 x 584 mm, max. 8 shelvesUF260256 l, footprint 824 x 684 mm, max. 9 shelvesUF450449 l, footprint 1,224 x 784 mm, max. 8 shelvesUF750749 l, footprint 1,224 x 784 mm, max. 14 shelvesUF10601,060 l, footprint 1,224 x 1,035 mm, max. 14 shelvesThe UF160 bridges the gap between a benchtop unit and a floor-standing cabinet: whilst having the same footprint as the smaller Memmert UF110 universal cabinet, it offers significantly more capacity – with 8 shelves instead of 5 – in a housing that is only slightly larger. For those who regularly run even larger batches, the next step up is the Memmert UF260 universal cabinet with a capacity of 256 litres. You can find all sizes in this range in the LT Laborhandel range of climate cabinets and incubators.Differences: TwinDISPLAY and the natural convection variantWithin the UF160 series, the key purchasing decision is between SingleDISPLAY and TwinDISPLAY. The UF160 described here operates with a single Pt100 sensor and one display; for unattended processes with higher safety requirements, the Memmert UF160plus universal cabinet offers two redundant Pt100 sensors with mutual monitoring, as well as two TFT displays instead of one. Those who can do without active air circulation – for example, because samples sensitive to dust or air movement are laid out in the open – will find the Memmert UN160 universal cabinet to be the direct counterpart, featuring natural convection rather than an air turbine, whilst offering the same internal volume of 161 litres. On the other hand, those who can manage with a smaller volume will save a considerable amount of floor space with the more compact Memmert UN110 universal cabinet.Safety in accordance with DIN 12880 for unattended operationIn addition to the adjustable electronic temperature monitoring, the UF160 features a mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 in accordance with DIN 12880, which switches off the heater at approximately 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature – an important safety feature for overnight or weekend runs. An integrated self-diagnostic system assists with fault-finding, whilst the calibration function allows three freely selectable temperature values to be readjusted. The unit bears CE and EAC markings as well as a UL test mark.Application, Installation and DisposalFor the UF160 to operate, a minimum distance of 15 cm from the wall and a maximum distance of 20 cm from the ceiling must be maintained; a minimum distance of 5 cm from the side of the wall or an adjacent unit is sufficient. It may be installed at altitudes of up to 2,000 m above sea level at an ambient temperature of 5 °C to 40 °C and a relative humidity of no more than 80 per cent, non-condensing. Electrically, the cabinet is designed for overvoltage category II and pollution degree 2; it must only be transported in an upright position. The interior, made of easy-to-clean stainless steel, can be maintained using standard laboratory cleaning agents; the robust structured stainless steel construction ensures a long service life. As an electrical appliance, the UF160 is subject to the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act at the end of its service life and must not be disposed of with household waste; see Regulatory Information below.Typical applicationsWith forced air circulation, an internal volume of 161 litres and a maximum installation altitude of 2,000 m, the Memmert UF160 universal oven is suitable for a wide range of heat treatment processes in laboratories and industry.Drying of laboratory glassware and sample vessels in routine operationTempering, ageing and firing of material samplesTesting and curing in quality assuranceMaterial testing in industrial manufacturingHeat treatment processes in science and researchAn intermediate option for laboratories that require greater capacity than the UF110 can provideInvestment rationale: SingleDISPLAY or TwinDISPLAYThe UF160 is supplied with 2 electropolished stainless steel wire shelves; the cabinet is designed to accommodate up to 8 shelves. For daytime operation under supervision, the SingleDISPLAY of the UF160 described here is generally sufficient. If, on the other hand, drying or ageing processes run unattended overnight or at the weekend, the redundant sensor system of the Memmert UF160plus universal cabinet reduces the risk of a single sensor failure jeopardising the entire batch. For visual inspection without opening the door, a fully transparent glass door rated up to 250 °C or 300 °C is available as an option, as are interior lighting and reinforced wire mesh shelves or perforated metal sheets rated up to 60 kg for heavier samples. Anyone wishing to use the data logger on a permanent basis rather than just with the time-limited trial version should add an AtmoCONTROL software licence. For pharmaceutical or standards-compliant applications, we arrange calibration, IQ/OQ/PQ and maintenance services, including those accredited by DAkkS.Frequently asked questions before purchaseHow many samples can the UF160 hold at once? Two wire racks are included as standard; up to 8 inserts, each with a maximum load of 20 kg, are possible, giving a total load capacity of up to 210 kg.How does the UF160 differ from the UF160plus?Both share the same housing and air turbine; the UF160plus additionally offers two redundant Pt100 sensors, TwinDISPLAY, HeatBALANCE and AutoSAFETY for greater process reliability during unattended operation. Is a natural convection version available in this size?Yes, the Memmert UN160 universal chamber offers the same internal volume of 161 litres, but operates without an air turbine and is suitable for samples sensitive to dust or air movement. What is the accuracy of the temperature control?0.1 °C up to 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C, measured using a DIN Class A Pt100 sensor with 4-wire technology. What power supply is required?Either 230 V at approximately 3,200 W or 115 V at approximately 1,800 W, in each case at 50/60 Hz; a single-phase connection is sufficient. Is the UF160 suitable for continuous operation overnight? The mechanical temperature limiter, which complies with Protection Class 1 as per DIN 12880, switches the heater off if the temperature exceeds approximately 20 °C and is designed for unattended operation. Can a glass door be retrofitted?A full-view glass door rated up to 250 °C or 300 °C is one of the standard options for the UF160 and can be specified when ordering.Technical detailsAdjustable temperature range20 to 300 °COperating temperature rangeat least 10 °C above room temperature up to 300 °CTemperature setting accuracyup to 99.9 °C: 0.1 °C, from 100 °C: 0.5 °CTemperature sensorPt100, DIN Class A, 4-wire measurementInternal volume161 lInternal dimensions (W x H x D)560 x 720 x 400 mmExternal dimensions of housing (W x H x D)745 x 1,104 x 584 mmNet weightapprox. 96 kgPower supply 230 V50/60 Hz, approx. 3,200 WConnection 115 V50/60 Hz, approx. 1,800 WMaximum number of trays8Slots included2Max. load capacity of unit210 kgMax. load per drawer20 kgInner chamber materialStainless steel, 4-sided all-round heatingCasing materialTextured stainless steel, galvanised sheet steel rear panelControl systemControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY, PID microprocessor controller, TFT colour graphic displayTimer1 minute to 99 days, digital countdown timerPermissible ambient temperature5 °C to 40 °CPermissible relative humiditymax. 80% rel., non-condensingMaximum installation height2,000 mCertificationsCE, EAC, UL marksScope of delivery1x Memmert UF160 universal cabinetFactory calibration certificate (calibrated at 160 °C)Fully insulated stainless steel door with 2-point locking (compression door seal)2x electropolished stainless steel gratingRegulatory informationThe Memmert UF160 universal cabinet is registered with the Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte Register (Stiftung EAR) under WEEE registration number DE 66812464.Customised requirements & procurement serviceOptions available for the UF160 include fully transparent glass doors rated up to 250 °C or 300 °C, interior lighting, reinforced wire mesh shelves and perforated metal sheets supporting up to 60 kg, slide-in or floor-standing drip trays, as well as wall brackets, levelling feet and a mobile or fixed base frame. Kern OZL 465 Stereo Zoom Microscope, 7x-45x Zoom, LED Reflected and Transmitted Light
Whether you’re checking a printed circuit board for soldering faults or preparing an insect for a biology lesson, you need an image with depth of field and the ability to switch quickly between an overview and close-up detail. The Kern OZL 465 stereo zoom microscope covers a zoom range of 0.7x to 4.5x; with the supplied 10x eyepieces, this gives a total magnification of 7x to 45x. The binocular head sits on a column stand, is tilted at 45 degrees and can be rotated through 360 degrees. LED lighting illuminates the specimen either from above or from below, with separate dimming controls. Kern positions this model as an all-rounder for schools, training centres, testing facilities and laboratories. Zoom range and field of view The zoom lens covers a range from 0.7x to 4.5x, a ratio of 6.4 to 1. When used with the HWF 10x eyepieces, this results in the stated total magnification of 7x to 45x. At the lower end of the zoom range, the field of view is 28.6 mm; at the upper end, it is 4.4 mm. This allows an entire circuit board to fit within the field of view, or a single solder joint to be viewed in close-up. The working distance of 105 mm leaves enough space for tweezers or a soldering iron beneath the optics, whilst the stage accommodates samples up to 140 mm in height. Head and stand adjusted to the user The dioptre adjustment operates on both sides from minus 5 to plus 5, whilst the interpupillary distance can be set between 55 and 75 mm. High-eye-point eyepieces ensure the distance between the eyes and the lens is sufficient for spectacle wearers. The microscope head is detachable; the head mount has a diameter of 76 mm and therefore also fits other modular Kern stands. Focusing is achieved via a coarse focus knob; the OZL 465 does not have a separate fine focus knob. LED illumination for reflected and transmitted light Incident and transmitted light can be dimmed separately, each with 3-watt LED output. Incident light illuminates opaque specimens such as printed circuit boards, minerals or insects from above, whilst transmitted light illuminates thin specimens and microscope slides from below. The contrast mode is brightfield. The presence of two independently controllable light sources in a single unit distinguishes the OZL 465 from simpler stereo microscopes with only one direction of illumination. Digitisation: optical in the basic model, expandable via accessories The basic model of the OZL 465 does not have a built-in camera sensor; it is a purely optical microscope. Users who wish to display or document the specimen on a screen can retrofit the microscope with an eyepiece camera. For users who require a digital image from the outset, Kern offers the OZL 462, a dedicated microscope head with a digital output. This is a standalone product with its own item number and is not part of this offer. Storage and warranty The housing can withstand storage temperatures ranging from minus 5 to 40 degrees Celsius, which is relevant for transport in winter or for temporary storage in an unheated adjoining room. Kern provides a 36-month warranty on the device and confirms, in accordance with REACH classification, that it contains no prohibited substances. Typical applications Kern cites a wide range of applications for the OZL-46 series, from reproductive medicine to quality control: In-vitro fertilisation Parasite detection Zoology and botany Tissue preparation and sections Quality control Specimens with a three-dimensional appearance, such as insects, seeds, printed circuit boards or components In educational settings, the microscope displays specimens from biology lessons in three dimensions rather than as flat images. In electronics manufacturing, quality assurance uses it to check solder joints and assembled printed circuit boards for completeness, without having to set up a digital system for every production run. Frequently asked questions about the OZL 465 Can a camera be fitted at a later date? Not as a retrofit directly onto the OZL 465, but an eyepiece camera can be added as an accessory. For a unit with a factory-fitted digital output, the separate OZL 462 head is the right choice. How tall can the sample be? The stage accommodates samples up to 140 mm in height. Is the microscope suitable for people who wear spectacles? Yes, the eyepieces are designed with a high eye point, and the dioptre adjustment ranges from minus 5 to plus 5 on both sides. How heavy is the microscope? The net weight is 4.6 kg, and the dimensions are 300 x 240 x 420 mm. Is transmitted light possible for thin specimens? Yes, transmitted light can be dimmed independently of the incident light; both light sources are LED-based. What type of plug is supplied? The mains adaptor comes with a EURO plug; other versions for the UK, US or Switzerland are available as options according to the data sheet. Memmert UN110 Universal Oven, heating and drying oven with natural convection, 108 litres, up to 300 °C
The Memmert UN110 universal cabinet is one of the most frequently ordered heating and drying cabinets in the entire Memmert range at LT Laborhandel. With an internal volume of 108 litres, it marks the transition from the compact benchtop units of the UN series to a noticeably larger footprint and greater loading capacity, whilst continuing to operate using purely natural convection within a temperature range of 20 to 300 °C. For laboratories that regularly dry, temper or cure larger batches or several batches in parallel, whilst requiring a vibration-free environment, the UN110 is the obvious choice between a compact benchtop unit and a large-volume floor-standing cabinet.Natural convection for larger batchesThe Memmert UN110 universal oven also deliberately dispenses with an air turbine and a forced-air fan. Heat rises within the chamber purely by thermal convection, without dust or light sample particles being stirred up by a fan. The operating temperature range therefore starts from at least 5 °C above room temperature up to 300 °C. With an internal volume of 108 litres and several shelves loaded simultaneously, uniform natural heat distribution remains crucial, particularly when sensitive or exposed samples must not be affected by air movement. A Pt100 temperature sensor of DIN Class A in a 4-wire configuration ensures a setting accuracy of 0.1 °C up to 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C onwards.ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY: Operation and data acquisitionThe UN110 is controlled via the ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY, an adaptive, multifunctional digital PID microprocessor controller with a high-resolution TFT colour graphic display. The temperature can be set in Celsius or Fahrenheit, as can the position of the exhaust air flap, the programme duration, the time zone and summer/winter time. A digital countdown timer with target time can be set from 1 minute to 99 days; the SetpointWait function only starts the process time once the setpoint temperature has actually been reached, ensuring reproducible results for larger batches. The data logger can be read out and managed via the Ethernet interface; a time-limited trial version of the AtmoCONTROL software is available for download.Capacity and dimensions of the Memmert UN110 universal chamberThe interior measures 560 x 480 x 400 mm, whilst the external dimensions are 745 x 864 x 584 mm – a noticeably larger footprint than the smaller UN30, UN55 and UN75 models. Two electropolished stainless steel wire shelves are included as standard, and the cabinet can accommodate up to five shelves in total. The maximum load capacity is 175 kg for the entire unit and 20 kg per shelf. The interior is made of easy-to-clean stainless steel, reinforced with deep-drawn ribbing, and features protected, integrated 4-sided all-round heating; the housing is made of textured stainless steel with a fully galvanised sheet steel rear panel. The UN110 is connected to 230 V (approx. 2,800 W) or 115 V (approx. 1,800 W), in each case at 50/60 Hz.Selection guide: the move to a larger footprintThe Memmert UN series with natural convection covers internal volumes ranging from 32 to 749 litres. The UN110 is the first model in the series to offer a noticeably larger footprint compared with the three smaller benchtop models.ModelInternal volumeUN3032 l, footprint 585 x 434 mm, max. 3 shelvesUN5553 l, footprint 585 x 514 mm, max. 4 shelvesUN7574 l, footprint 585 x 514 mm, max. 6 shelvesUN110108 l, footprint 745 x 584 mm, max. 5 shelvesUN260256 l, footprint 824 x 684 mm, max. 9 shelvesUN450449 l, footprint 1,224 x 784 mm, max. 8 shelvesUN750749 l, footprint 1,224 x 784 mm, max. 14 shelvesFor those upgrading from the UN75 (74 litres, same footprint as the UN55) and requiring more volume and a higher load capacity per unit, the UN110 is the ideal next step. If even that is no longer sufficient, the Memmert UN260 universal cabinet offers a significantly larger, freestanding model with a capacity of 256 litres. The full range of climate cabinets and incubators can be found under Climate Cabinets & Incubators.Distinction: natural convection versus forced air circulationAnyone requiring more active heat distribution and shorter heating times for a similar volume – for example, with densely packed batches of varying sizes – will find the ideal forced-air equivalent in the Memmert UF160 universal cabinet, which features an electronically controlled fan. Its operating temperature range starts at 10 °C rather than 5 °C above room temperature. For samples sensitive to dust or air movement, the natural convection of the UN110 remains the more suitable choice. A significantly more compact natural convection model for smaller sample quantities is the Memmert UN30 universal cabinet. Like all standard models in the UN series, the UN110 operates with the ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY, rather than the TwinDISPLAY reserved for the ‘plus’ variants.Safety in accordance with DIN 12880, even with larger batchesThe UN110 features adjustable electronic temperature monitoring and a mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 in accordance with DIN 12880, which switches off the heating when the temperature reaches approximately 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature – an important safety feature for overnight or weekend runs when several shelves are occupied simultaneously. A self-diagnostic system assists with fault-finding, and 3 freely selectable temperature values can be calibrated. The unit bears CE and EAC markings as well as a UL mark.Installation, operation and disposalFor operation, a minimum clearance of 15 cm from the wall and a maximum clearance of 20 cm from the ceiling must be maintained; a minimum of 5 cm is sufficient on either side relative to the wall or an adjacent unit. With a net weight of around 74 kg, it is recommended that the UN110 be placed on a fixed, load-bearing base rather than simply on a laboratory bench. Installation is permitted at altitudes of up to 2,000 m above sea level at an ambient temperature of 5 °C to 40 °C and a relative humidity of no more than 80 per cent, non-condensing. Electrically, the UN110 is designed for overvoltage category II and pollution degree 2; it must only be transported in an upright position. As an electrical appliance, the UN110 is subject to the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act at the end of its service life and must not be disposed of with household waste.Typical applicationsWith an internal volume of 108 litres and a load capacity of up to 175 kg, the Memmert UN110 universal cabinet is suitable for laboratories and businesses that regularly dry or heat-treat larger quantities of samples.Drying large quantities of laboratory glassware and sample containersVibration-free drying of dust- or air-sensitive materials in multiple batchesTempering, ageing and firing of material samples in industrial quality assuranceMaterial testing with a higher sample throughput than with the smaller UN modelsScience and research involving varying, sometimes larger, batchesReason for investment: Equipment for higher throughputThe UN110 is supplied with 2 electropolished stainless steel wire mesh shelves as standard; the cabinet is designed to accommodate up to 5 shelves, each with a maximum load of 20 kg. Users who regularly utilise all levels can add further wire mesh shelves or perforated metal sheets. For visual inspection without opening the door, a fully transparent glass door is available, along with interior lighting and a power socket for additional measuring equipment, as well as a levelling or mobile base for flexible repositioning. For gas-tight applications, a corresponding version including gas supply and exhaust is available. KNF LABOPORT N 96 mini diaphragm vacuum pump, chemical-resistant, speed-controlled, 7 l/min, 322806
Compact performance for the laboratory workstation: KNF LABOPORT ® N 96 The KNF LABOPORT ® N 96 redefines what a compact laboratory pump is capable of. With MPN 322806, you get a highly flexible system that has been specially developed for applications where space-saving design, chemical resistance and precise control are required. Despite its very small footprint, this mini diaphragm vacuum pump delivers impressive performance and is ideal for filtration, solid-phase extraction (SPE), the removal of liquid supernatants or as a fore-vacuum pump for turbomolecular pumps. Chemical resistance meets maintenance-free operation A key advantage of the N 96 is its choice of materials. The pump head is made of robust PPS (polyphenylene sulphide), the diaphragm is PTFE-coated and the valves are made of FKM. This combination makes the pump extremely resistant to aggressive gases and vapours. Unlike oil-lubricated rotary vane pumps, the diaphragm principle of the N 96 operates 100 per cent oil-free. For you, this means: no contamination of your samples by oil vapours, no disposal of waste oil and completely maintenance-free operation in day-to-day laboratory work. You can transfer, evacuate and compress samples accurately and cleanly. Integrated speed control for gentle processes The LABOPORT ® N 96 is not simply ‘On’ or ‘Off’. It features integrated speed control, which is operated intuitively via a rotary knob on the top. This allows you to adjust the flow rate continuously to suit your process – from gentle suction right through to full power. The visual status indicator is particularly innovative: the colour of the LED lighting on the rotary knobs changes depending on the operating status (e.g. standby, operation), so you can see immediately – even from a distance – what the pump is currently doing. Quiet, low-vibration and space-saving In modern laboratories, space is at a premium and noise is a nuisance. The N 96 scores highly in both respects: with its extremely compact design, it fits into any nook or directly into the fume cupboard without blocking valuable worktop space. Thanks to its advanced diaphragm technology and brushless DC motor, it also operates very quietly and with minimal vibration. This is easier on the user’s nerves and allows for concentrated work right next to the unit. Versatility in application and pressure Although primarily known as a vacuum pump (ultimate vacuum < 130 mbar abs.), the N 96 can also be used as a compressor, delivering a working overpressure of up to 2.5 bar. The flow rate of up to 7 litres per minute (at atmospheric pressure) ensures rapid results during filtration. The plug-in power supply with wide-range input allows for use worldwide. Detailed technical specifications Flow rate (max.): 7 l/min (0.42 m³/h) at atmospheric pressure Final vacuum: < 130 mbar (abs.) IKA T 18 mini digital Solution Disperser Set, brushless motor including tool and stand, 0010015137
Not every laboratory workstation has room for a large drive, and not every sample requires 500 watts of power. The IKA T 18 mini digital Solution (0010015137) is designed precisely for these situations: a compact, brushless disperser set with an attachment and stand that can be accommodated even in small spaces and is designed for samples with lower viscosity. Compact brushless drive With external dimensions of 66 x 186 x 100 millimetres and a weight of 1.8 kilograms, the drive unit is significantly smaller than the classic T 18 digital. The brushless DC motor delivers 210 watts of input power and 160 watts of output power, and is designed for a maximum viscosity of 2,000 mPas. As with the larger series, the speed range extends from 3,000 to 25,000 revolutions per minute, albeit with a slightly higher tolerance of 3 per cent. Digital display, timer and USB-C The LED display shows the set speed, whilst an integrated timer with its own LED display manages the process time, meaning that runs do not need to be stopped manually. The device can be connected to a documentation system via the USB-C interface. In standby mode, power consumption is just 3 watts, whilst the maximum power consumption of the unit is 250 watts. Power is supplied internally via 48 volts DC at a current draw of 4,500 milliamps; the power supply unit itself covers the range from 100 to 240 volts and can therefore be used worldwide without the need for a separate voltage converter. Designed for smaller volumes and lower viscosity According to the manufacturer, the T 18 mini digital Solution is suitable for simple applications involving the homogenisation of low-viscosity samples. As with the larger model, the processable volume ranges from 0.001 to 1.5 litres; however, the maximum viscosity of 2,000 mPas is lower than that of the T 18 digital, which is 5,000 mPas. For routine samples in life sciences laboratories, training centres or smaller-scale quality control procedures that do not involve particularly viscous or high-volume batches, the performance is generally more than adequate. What the compact design means in everyday use With a footprint that is significantly smaller than that of the classic T 18 digital, the T 18 mini digital Solution can be accommodated even where several workstations are positioned close together, such as in practical training rooms or at smaller fume cupboard workstations. The lower weight of 1.8 kilograms also makes manual operation more comfortable over longer periods when a stand is not used. Those who regularly switch between several workstations also benefit from the fact that the compact unit is easier to transport than the larger series. Typical applications Homogenisation of low-viscosity samples (according to the manufacturer) Smaller batches in life sciences and teaching laboratories Workstations with limited floor space Processes with documented time control via the integrated timer Brief overview within the T-18 range For those requiring higher viscosity or greater motor power, the larger T 18 digital Solution offers the ideal set with a power consumption of 500 watts instead of 210 watts. LT Laborhandel supplies the drive unit on its own as the T 18 digital ULTRA-TURRAX; the dispersing tool included in the set is also available separately as the S 18 N - 19 G dispersing tool. An overview of all dispersing units at LT Laborhandel can be found in the ‘Dispersing Units’ category; suitable tools are listed under ‘Dispersing Tools’. Application, installation and maintenance With an IP 30 protection rating, the drive unit is slightly better protected against the ingress of foreign objects than the classic T 18 digital with IP 20; however, it is still not designed to withstand splashing water. Operation is permitted at an ambient temperature of 5 to 40 degrees Celsius and a relative humidity of up to 80 per cent. The tool’s supplied PTFE bearing must not run dry; the medium provides both lubrication and cooling. The integrated timer reduces the effort required for manual time control in recurring processes, but does not replace the need to monitor the batch. At the end of its service life, as an electrical appliance, the drive must not be disposed of with household waste, but must be placed in the separate collection for waste electrical and electronic equipment. When the mini drive is a worthwhile investment If the viscosity of the samples is up to a maximum of 2,000 mPas and the focus is on a compact design, a timer and documentation via USB-C, the T 18 mini digital Solution reliably meets these requirements. If, on the other hand, thicker media up to 5,000 mPas are regularly processed, or if the higher power consumption of 500 watts is required, the larger T 18 digital Solution is the more suitable choice. Both sets share the same standard tool, the S 18 N – 19 G, so switching between the two sizes does not necessarily change the choice of tool. For laboratories that need to meet both requirements simultaneously – for example, a sensitive batch with low viscosity followed by a more viscous sample – it may also be worthwhile to purchase both sizes for different workstations. Individual requirements & procurement service Those who also work with disposable dispersing tools will find the S 18/25-ET50 disposable tube from LT Laborhandel to be a practical cleaning aid. Do you also require an additional stand for a second workstation or assistance with the USB connection to your documentation system? Through our procurement service, LT Laborhandel supports you with procurement and configuration. Memmert IN30 incubator, compact incubator with natural convection, 32 litres, up to 80 °C
The Memmert IN30 incubator is one of the most frequently ordered Memmert instruments at LT Laborhandel. With an internal volume of 32 litres, a temperature range of 20 to 80 °C and purely natural convection, it is designed as a compact incubator for the incubation and cultivation of samples in microbiology, food analysis and pharmacy. An internal glass door allows visual inspection of the cultures without having to open the fully insulated outer door and thereby disturb the internal temperature – a practical difference compared to the pure heating and drying cabinets of the UN series.Natural convection for stable incubation conditionsThe Memmert IN30 incubator operates without an air turbine or a forced-air fan; the heat rises within the chamber purely by thermal convection. This is an advantage for the cultivation of microorganisms and cell cultures: there is no forced air movement that could dry out open Petri dishes or affect culture media. The operating temperature range starts at a minimum of 5 °C above room temperature and extends up to 80 °C. A DIN Class A Pt100 temperature sensor with 4-wire measurement ensures a setting accuracy of 0.1 °C across the entire operating range – a crucial factor for reproducible incubation temperatures, such as 37 °C in microbiology.ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY and data acquisitionThe IN30 is controlled via the ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY, an adaptive, multifunctional digital PID microprocessor controller with a high-resolution TFT colour graphic display. The temperature can be set in Celsius or Fahrenheit, as well as the position of the exhaust air flap, programme duration, time zone and summer/winter time. A digital countdown timer with target time can be set from 1 minute to 99 days; the SetpointWait function only starts the incubation time once the setpoint temperature has actually been reached, which is important for defined incubation times. The data logger can be read out and managed via the Ethernet interface; a time-limited trial version of the AtmoCONTROL software is available for download.Capacity and dimensions of the Memmert IN30 incubatorThe internal chamber measures 400 x 320 x 250 mm, whilst the external dimensions are 585 x 704 x 434 mm. An electropolished stainless steel wire rack is included as standard; the incubator can accommodate up to three racks in total. The maximum load capacity is 60 kg for the entire unit and 20 kg per shelf, which is more than sufficient for Petri dishes, test tubes and smaller culture vessels. The interior consists of easy-to-clean stainless steel, reinforced by deep-drawn ribbing, with protected, integrated 4-sided all-round heating; the housing is made of textured stainless steel with a fully galvanised sheet steel rear panel. The IN30 is connected to 230 V (approx. 1,600 W) or 115 V (approx. 800 W), in both cases at 50/60 Hz, with noticeably lower power consumption than the UN series incubators with their higher temperature range.Selection guide: choosing the right incubator sizeLT Laborhandel offers a choice of two sizes with natural convection, as well as the forced-air version with TwinDISPLAY for different temperature distribution requirements.ModelInternal volume and controlIN3032 l, natural convection, SingleDISPLAY, max. 3 shelvesIN5553 l, natural convection, SingleDISPLAY, max. 4 shelvesIF30plus32 l, forced air circulation, TwinDISPLAY, max. 3 shelvesFor those who wish to incubate more culture flasks simultaneously whilst still avoiding forced air circulation, the Memmert IN55 incubator with a 53-litre capacity offers the next level. Those who, on the other hand, require active, more uniform air circulation as well as an integrated sterilisation programme will find these functions in the Memmert IF30plus incubator, which is identical in size. The full range of climate chambers and incubators can be found under Climate Chambers & Incubators.Distinction: Incubator versus heating cabinet, IN versus IFUnlike the universal cabinets in the UN series, the IN30 is specifically designed for incubation temperatures up to 80 °C, not for drying or tempering processes up to 300 °C. The inner glass door, included with the IN30, is not part of the standard specification for the UN models and is important for culture monitoring without temperature loss. Within the incubator range, the key purchasing decision is between natural convection (IN series) and forced air circulation (IF series): The IF30plus features an air turbine, two Pt100 sensors for mutual monitoring, a TwinDISPLAY with two screens and a permanently installed sterilisation programme for the interior – all functions that the IN30, with its SingleDISPLAY, does not offer. Those who switch between different sample types and wish to decontaminate the interior between runs are better served by the IF30plus; those who require quiet, vibration-free incubation without air movement are better off sticking with the IN30.Safety in accordance with DIN 12880The IN30 features adjustable electronic temperature monitoring and a mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 in accordance with DIN 12880, which switches off the heating when the temperature reaches approximately 20 °C above the maximum chamber temperature – an important feature for incubation runs lasting several days without constant supervision. A self-diagnostic system assists with fault-finding, and three freely selectable temperature values can be calibrated. The unit bears CE and EAC markings as well as a UL mark.Installation, operation and disposalFor operation, a minimum distance of 15 cm from the wall and a maximum distance of 20 cm from the ceiling must be maintained; a minimum of 5 cm is sufficient on either side in relation to a wall or neighbouring unit. Installation is permitted at altitudes of up to 2,000 m above sea level at an ambient temperature of 5 °C to 40 °C and a relative humidity of no more than 80 per cent, non-condensing. Electrically, the IN30 is designed for overvoltage category II and pollution degree 2; it must only be transported in an upright position. The interior and the inner glass door can be cleaned using standard laboratory cleaning agents and disinfectants. As an electrical appliance, the IN30 is subject to the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act at the end of its service life and must not be disposed of with household waste.Typical areas of applicationWith an internal volume of 32 litres and incubation temperatures of up to 80 °C, the Memmert IN30 incubator is suitable for compact routine applications in microbiology and food technology.Incubation of culture media and cultures in routine microbiological workBacterial count determination and shelf-life testing in food analysisIncubation of small batches in the pharmaceutical industry and researchVisual inspection of ongoing cultures without temperature loss thanks to the internal glass doorCompact entry-level incubator for schools, training and routine laboratoriesReasons for investment: Equipment for day-to-day incubationThe IN30 comes supplied with 1 electropolished stainless steel wire shelf and the internal glass door; the incubator is designed to accommodate up to 3 shelves. For process documentation, we recommend a permanent AtmoCONTROL software licence rather than the time-limited trial version, supplemented by a USB-to-Ethernet adapter. Those wishing to secure access can configure a lockable door with a security lock; for enhanced safety, an additional Pt100 sensor with overtemperature protection is available. For pharmaceutical or standards-compliant applications, we arrange calibration, IQ/OQ/PQ and maintenance services, including those accredited by DAkkS. Those wishing to combine the IN30 with other devices on a shelf or rack will find a space-saving solution in a wall bracket or stacking kit, without taking up any additional floor space.Frequently asked questions before purchaseWhat is the inner glass door for?It allows visual inspection of the cultures without having to open the fully insulated outer door, which reduces temperature fluctuations inside the unit and minimises disruption to the incubation process.Up to what temperature does the IN30 operate? The adjustable temperature range is from 20 to 80 °C; the operating temperature range starts at a minimum of 5 °C above room temperature. How many culture vessels can fit inside at the same time? One wire shelf is included as standard; up to three shelves, each with a maximum load of 20 kg, are possible, for a total load of up to 60 kg.Is the IN30 different from the UN30 universal cabinet?Yes, the IN30 is designed for incubation temperatures up to 80 °C and has an internal glass door, whilst the UN30 operates as a heating and drying cabinet up to 300 °C without an internal glass door.Is the IN30 a medical device? No, according to Memmert’s own MDR classification table, the IN30 is not a medical device; this applies only to the separate m and mplus variants. Is there a version with active air circulation?Yes, the Memmert IF30plus incubator, which is the same size, features forced air circulation, TwinDISPLAY and an integrated sterilisation programme. Is the IN30 suitable for continuous operation over several days? The mechanical temperature limiter, which complies with Protection Class 1 according to DIN 12880, switches off the heating element if the temperature exceeds the set point by approximately 20 °C and is designed for unattended operation. Can the IN30 also be used for drying tasks instead of incubation? In principle, yes, provided the setpoint temperature is within the range of 20 to 80 °C. For higher drying temperatures up to 300 °C, a heating and drying cabinet from the UN series, such as the Memmert UN30 universal cabinet, is the more suitable choice.Technical detailsAdjustable temperature range20 to 80 °COperating temperature rangeat least 5 °C above room temperature up to 80 °CTemperature setting accuracy0.1 °CTemperature sensorPt100, DIN Class A, 4-wire measurementInternal volume32 lInternal dimensions (W x H x D)400 x 320 x 250 mmExternal dimensions of housing (W x H x D)585 x 704 x 434 mmNet weightapprox. 48 kgPower supply 230 V50/60 Hz, approx. 1,600 WConnection 115 V50/60 Hz, approx. 800 WMaximum number of trays3Slots included1Max. load on unit60 kgMax. load per drawer20 kgInterior materialStainless steel, 4-sided all-round heatingCasing materialTextured stainless steel, galvanised sheet steel rear panelControl systemControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY, PID microprocessor controller, TFT colour graphics displayTimer1 minute to 99 days, digital countdown timerPermissible ambient temperature5 °C to 40 °CPermissible relative humiditymax. 80% rel., non-condensingMaximum installation height2,000 mCertificationsCE, EAC, UL marksContents of delivery1x Memmert IN30 incubatorFactory calibration certificate (calibrated at 37 °C)Fully insulated stainless steel door with 2-point locking mechanism (compression door seal)Inner glass door1x stainless steel wire mesh shelf, electropolishedRegulatory informationThe Memmert IN30 incubator is registered with the Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte Register (Stiftung EAR) under WEEE registration number DE 66812464.Customised requirements & procurement serviceOptions available for the IN30 include interior lighting and a power socket, a lockable door with a security lock, an additional Pt100 sensor with over-temperature protection, and reinforced wire mesh shelves. Memmert UF30 Universal Oven, forced-air drying oven, 32 litres, +300 °C
Precision in the smallest of spaces: the Memmert UF30 universal cabinet The Memmert UF30 universal cabinet epitomises German engineering excellence in the field of temperature control technology. In laboratories where space is at a premium but no compromises can be made on temperature accuracy, this model is the first choice. With an internal volume of 32 litres and powerful forced-air circulation technology, the UF30 delivers excellent drying results and unrivalled temperature uniformity. Whether for material testing, ageing tests, drying glassware or baking components – this universal oven masters every thermal task up to +300 °C with flying colours. The principle of forced air circulation (“F” for Forced Air) The key difference between the Memmert UF30 universal oven and static ovens (UN series) is the integrated, high-performance fan. The ‘F’ in the model designation stands for ‘Forced Air Circulation’. Why is this important for your application? Faster drying: Active air movement removes moisture from the sample surface much more efficiently than natural convection. If you need to dry damp granules, painted parts or washed laboratory equipment, the UF30 significantly reduces the process time. Uniform temperature distribution: The fan ensures continuous mixing of the air inside the chamber. This prevents hot spots or cold zones. Even when the cabinet is fully loaded, the temperature remains virtually the same across all shelf levels. This is essential for standard-compliant testing (e.g. in accordance with DIN or ISO). Rapid recovery times: After the door is opened, the UF30 returns to the set temperature in a flash thanks to active air circulation. Unique heating technology: all-round radiant heat One of Memmert’s hallmarks is its all-round heating. Unlike competitors, who often install heating coils only in the base or on the rear wall, the UF30’s heating elements are housed within fins on all four sides of the interior. This greatly increases the heat-emitting surface area. The result is extremely gentle heat transfer without localised overheating points (‘hotspots’). Your valuable samples are not scorched by direct heat radiation, but are heated evenly. This technology also ensures excellent energy efficiency. Stainless steel: Hygienic, robust and durable The Memmert UF30 universal cabinet is made almost entirely of high-quality, stainless steel (grade 1.4301). The interior: It is seamlessly deep-drawn and features rounded corners. This means there are no crevices where dirt or dust can accumulate. Cleaning is completed with just a few wipes – a huge advantage in cleanroom-like environments or in food analysis. The outer casing: The distinctive textured stainless steel sheet is not only a visual highlight in any laboratory, but is also extremely resistant to scratches, fingerprints and mechanical stress. A Memmert cabinet often still looks as good as new even after 20 years. Intuitive operation: ControlCOCKPIT (SingleDISPLAY) The UF30 is controlled via the intuitive ControlCOCKPIT. In the standard version (SingleDISPLAY), this high-resolution TFT touch display offers everything you need for routine operation without overwhelming you with unnecessary complexity. Touch & Turn: You select the function (temperature, fan speed, air damper position, timer) via touch and set the value precisely using the rotary control. Air exchange control: A key feature is the motorised exhaust air flap. You can set on the display how much humid air should escape from the cabinet (0% to 100% opening). This allows for precise control of the drying process. Timer functions: Set a running time or use the ‘SetpointWAIT’ function. With this function, the timer only starts once the target temperature inside the chamber has actually been reached. This ensures that your sample is temperature-controlled for exactly the duration specified. Safety for the laboratory and the sample The Memmert UF30 universal oven is self-monitoring. An electronic temperature monitor (TWW, protection class 3.1) and a mechanical temperature limiter (TB, protection class 1) provide dual protection. Should the electronics fail, the mechanical protection takes over and switches off the heating before any danger arises. Versatility in use Thanks to its compact dimensions, the UF30 fits on any laboratory bench, yet still offers sufficient space for standard applications. Drying: Of powders, granules and electronic components. Ageing: Simulating years of storage through elevated temperatures (plastics, packaging). Curing: Curing of paints or adhesives. Warm-holding: Temperature control of media or bed linen in clinical settings. In summary, the Memmert UF30 is the perfect combination of compact design, speed (thanks to forced air circulation) and legendary build quality. It is a sound investment for any laboratory. Memmert UN450 Universal Oven, large-capacity heating and drying oven with natural convection, 449 litres, up to 300 °C
The Memmert UN450 universal cabinet offers an internal volume of 449 litres within a comparatively modest overall height of 1,247 mm, meaning it fits even under lower ceilings where a taller model would not. Like all natural convection models in the series, it operates without a fan in the temperature range from 20 to 300 °C and is powered by three-phase current due to the heating power required. For industrial and research facilities wishing to heat-treat large batches without vibration, without needing a particularly tall unit, the UN450 is the ideal solution.Natural convection with a large internal volumeEven with an internal volume of 449 litres, the Memmert UN450 universal chamber does not require an air turbine or a forced-air fan. Heat rises purely by convection, without a fan stirring up dust or light sample particles within the large interior. The operating temperature range extends from at least 5 °C above room temperature up to 300 °C. Natural convection remains in high demand even in this size category, particularly for industrial material samples that must not be affected by air movement. A Pt100 temperature sensor of DIN Class A in a 4-wire configuration provides a setting accuracy of 0.1 °C up to 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C onwards.ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY and three-phase connectionThe UN450 is controlled via the ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY, an adaptive, multifunctional digital PID microprocessor controller with a TFT colour graphic display, which can be used to set the temperature, exhaust air damper position, programme duration and time zone. A digital countdown timer ranging from 1 minute to 99 days and the SetpointWait function – which only starts the process time once the setpoint temperature has been reached – ensure reproducible processes, even during long, unattended runs. As a chamber of this size requires correspondingly higher heating capacity, the UN450 is powered by 400 V three-phase current and 3 x 230 V without a neutral conductor at 50/60 Hz and with a power consumption of approximately 5,800 W, rather than the single-phase connection used by the smaller models. The data logger can be read via the Ethernet interface; a time-limited trial version of the AtmoCONTROL software is available for download.Capacity of the Memmert UN450 universal chamberThe internal dimensions are 1,040 x 720 x 600 mm; the external dimensions of the cabinet are 1,224 x 1,247 x 784 mm. There is space for up to 8 shelves; 2 electropolished stainless steel grids are included in the scope of delivery. The UN450 can be loaded with a total of up to 300 kg; each shelf can hold up to 30 kg, which is more than the smaller UN models, which allow 20 kg per shelf. The interior consists of easy-to-clean stainless steel, reinforced by deep-drawn ribbing, with protected, integrated 4-sided all-round heating; the housing is made of textured stainless steel with a fully galvanised sheet steel rear panel. The fully insulated stainless steel doors are secured by a 2-point locking mechanism with a compression door latch.Selection guide: same footprint, different heightsWithin the Memmert UN series with natural convection, the internal volume ranges from 32 to 749 litres. The UN450 and UN750 share the same floor space and differ only in their overall height, which is an important selection criterion where room heights are low.ModelInternal volumeUN3032 l, footprint 585 x 434 mm, max. 3 shelvesUN5553 l, footprint 585 x 514 mm, max. 4 shelvesUN7574 l, footprint 585 x 514 mm, max. 6 shelvesUN110108 l, footprint 745 x 584 mm, max. 5 shelvesUN260256 l, footprint 824 x 684 mm, max. 9 shelvesUN450449 l, footprint 1,224 x 784 mm, max. 8 shelvesUN750749 l, footprint 1,224 x 784 mm, max. 14 shelvesIf you require the maximum capacity within this footprint and have a room height of more than 1.72 m, choose the Memmert UN750 universal cabinet with 749 litres and 14 shelves. If a smaller volume with a smaller footprint is sufficient, the Memmert UN260 universal cabinet with 256 litres is the ideal alternative. The full range of climate chambers and incubators can be found under Climate Chambers & Incubators.Distinction: natural convection versus forced air circulation, UN450 versus UF450In addition to the UN450 with natural convection, LT Laborhandel also stocks the Memmert UN450 universal cabinet, the structurally identical large forced-air version with an electronically controlled fan. The UF450 actively distributes heat throughout the interior and reaches its operating temperature range from as low as 10 °C above room temperature, which ensures shorter heating times for densely packed batches of varying sizes. The UN450 deliberately avoids this and instead starts operating from just 5 °C above room temperature, with absolutely no air movement inside the chamber; this is the right choice for large quantities of material samples that are sensitive to dust or vibration. Both models share the same interior, housing and ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY, but differ in their ventilation principle and operating temperature range.Safety in accordance with DIN 12880 for long, unattended processesProcess safety is crucial, particularly for large-volume batches that often run overnight or for several days. The UN450 features adjustable electronic temperature monitoring plus a mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 in accordance with DIN 12880, which switches off the heating when the temperature reaches approximately 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature. A self-diagnostic system assists with fault-finding, and 3 freely selectable temperature values can be calibrated. CE and EAC markings, as well as a UL test mark, are provided.Installation, operation and disposalThe same spacing requirements apply to the operation of the UN450 as for the smaller models: a minimum of 15 cm from the wall, a maximum of 20 cm from the ceiling and a minimum of 5 cm to the side, either from a wall or an adjacent unit. Given a net weight of around 161 kg and the three-phase power connection, the installation site should be fitted with a suitable high-voltage power supply prior to delivery. The unit may be installed at altitudes of up to 2,000 m above sea level, at ambient temperatures of 5 °C to 40 °C and with a maximum relative humidity of 80 per cent, non-condensing. Electrically, the UN450 is designed for overvoltage category II and pollution degree 2; it must only be transported in an upright position. As an electrical appliance, the UN450 is subject to the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act at the end of its service life and must not be disposed of with household waste.Typical areas of applicationWith an internal volume of 449 litres, up to 8 shelves and a load capacity of up to 300 kg, the Memmert UN450 universal cabinet is designed for high-throughput applications where headroom at the installation site is also limited.Large-volume drying and heat treatment batches in industry and researchRoutine tempering, ageing and baking of material samplesMaterial testing and quality assurance with high sample throughputVibration-free heat treatment of dust-sensitive materials on a large scaleInstallation sites with limited headroom where a UN750 will not fitBusiness case: racks, access control and process monitoringThe UN450 is supplied with 2 electropolished stainless steel grating trays as standard; the cabinet is designed to accommodate up to 8 racks, each with a maximum load of 30 kg. Options for process monitoring include a 4–20 mA current interface, fan speed monitoring, an additional Pt100 sensor and SMS alerts; for controlled access, there is a lockable door with a security lock. Those requiring a gas-tight version with various pipe penetrations can also have this configured. In addition, we supply base frames with levelling, as well as calibration, IQ/OQ/PQ services in accordance with DIN 12880 and maintenance contracts, including those accredited by DAkkS.Frequently asked questions before purchaseWhy does the UN450 require three-phase power?A cabinet of this size requires significantly more heating power – around 5,800 W – than the smaller UN models; therefore, the UN450 is operated with 400 V three-phase power and 3 x 230 V without a neutral conductor, rather than a single-phase connection. How does the UN450 differ from the UF450?Both share the same interior, housing and control system; however, the UF450 also features an electronically controlled fan for active air circulation and has an operating temperature range that starts at 10 °C rather than 5 °C above room temperature. How tall is the UN450 and will it fit under a standard ceiling? The external dimensions are 1,224 x 1,247 x 784 mm; with a height of 1,247 mm, the UN450 also fits into rooms where the taller UN750, at 1,720 mm, would no longer fit. What is the maximum load per shelf?Up to 30 kg per shelf, with a total load of up to 300 kg for the entire unit when fitted with a maximum of 8 shelves. What is the accuracy of the temperature control?Despite the three-phase power supply, the same accuracy applies across the range as for the smaller models: 0.1 °C up to 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C, measured using a DIN Class A Pt100 sensor with 4-wire technology. Is the UN450 suitable for long, unattended processes? The mechanical temperature limiter, which complies with Protection Class 1 according to DIN 12880, switches off the heating element in the event of an overtemperature of approximately 20 °C and is designed for processes running overnight or over several days.Technical detailsAdjustable temperature range20 to 300 °COperating temperature rangeat least 5 °C above room temperature up to 300 °CTemperature setting accuracyup to 99.9 °C: 0.1 °C, from 100 °C: 0.5 °CTemperature sensorPt100, DIN Class A, 4-wire measurementInternal volume449 lInternal dimensions (W x H x D)1040 x 720 x 600 mmExternal dimensions of housing (W x H x D)1224 x 1247 x 784 mmNet weightapprox. 161 kgConnection400 V and 3 x 230 V, neutral, 50/60 Hz, approx. 5,800 WMaximum number of racks8Drawers included2Max. load capacity300 kgMax. load per shelf30 kgInterior materialStainless steel, 4-sided all-round heatingCasing materialTextured stainless steel, galvanised sheet steel rear panelControl systemControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY, PID microprocessor controller, TFT colour graphic displayTimer1 minute to 99 days, digital countdown timerPermissible ambient temperature5 °C to 40 °CPermissible relative humiditymax. 80% rel., non-condensingMaximum installation height2,000 mCertificationsCE, EAC, UL certification marksContents of delivery1x Memmert UN450 universal cabinetFactory calibration certificate (calibrated at 160 °C)Fully insulated stainless steel doors with 2-point locking (compression door seal)2x stainless steel grating, electropolishedRegulatory informationThe Memmert UN450 universal cabinet is registered with the Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte Register (Stiftung EAR) under WEEE registration number DE 66812464.Customised requirements & procurement serviceOptions available for the UN450 include a lockable door with a security lock, a gas-tight version with various pipe feed-throughs, and reinforced grating and perforated sheets. Heidolph Hei-PLATE Mix 20l Magnetic Stirrer, up to 20 L, without Heating, 506-54100-00
If a batch requires more volume than a standard hotplate can accommodate, but at the same time does not require a heat source directly beneath the vessel, the Hei-PLATE Mix 20 l provides exactly this combination: stirring of up to 20 l without any heating function; according to the manufacturer, even the heat from the motor is not transferred to the work surface. The chassis is identical in construction to the Hei-PLATE Mix’n’Heat Core, but without the heating module, and covers a speed range from 100 to 1,400 revolutions per minute. No heat input for heat-sensitive substancesFor substances that are sensitive to heat, any additional source of temperature poses a risk, even the waste heat from a motor. The Hei-PLATE Mix 20 l is therefore deliberately designed without a heating function, ensuring that the base remains cool. A soft-start function gently brings the speed up to the set value, ensuring that the sample does not splash at start-up and the stirring rod does not veer off course.Large Kera-Disk platform for 20 lThe 145-millimetre-diameter Kera-Disk platform, made of aluminium with a ceramic coating, is chemical-resistant and scratch-resistant, and can support samples weighing up to 25 kilograms. With a power consumption of just 25 watts in normal operation, energy usage remains low for a unit with this stirring capacity; in standby mode, it drops to 1.7 watts. The external dimensions of 168 x 101 x 299 millimetres are consistent with the rest of the Hei-PLATE range, meaning the unit can be integrated into existing workstations without any modifications.Typical applicationsStirring of large-volume batches up to 20 l without heat inputProcessing of heat-labile active ingredients and dyesPreparation of larger volumes of buffers and reagents in routine laboratory workApplications where even minimal motor heat would interfere with the sampleSupplementing a Hei-PLATE workstation with a second, non-heated unitElectrical protection and environmental conditionsIP42 protection rating protects against foreign bodies larger than 1 mm and dripping water when tilted up to 15°; the sound pressure level is below 50 dB(A). The unit operates at 230 volts at 50 or 60 hertz in Europe and 115 volts in the USA, in each case via a connection with L, N and a protective earth conductor. The permissible operating range is from 5 to 31 degrees Celsius at up to 80 per cent relative humidity; above this, the permissible humidity decreases linearly down to 40 degrees Celsius.Selection guide: smaller volume or with heatingIf a 5-litre mixing volume is sufficient, the more compact Hei-Mix S is the smaller and simpler alternative. If a heating plate is required, the identically constructed chassis with a heating module, as the Hei-PLATE Mix’n’Heat Core, delivers temperatures up to 300 degrees Celsius; with additional digital Pt1000 control, it is available as the Hei-PLATE Mix’n’Heat Core+.Technical detailsDimensions (W x H x D)168 x 101 x 299 mmFootprint (Kera-Disk)Ø 145 mm, aluminium, ceramic-coatedWeightapprox. 3 kgMaximum permissible load25 kgDriveEC motor, counter-clockwise rotationSpeed range100 to 1,400 rpmProtection class (EN 60529)IP42Sound pressure level< 50 dB(A)Rated voltage230 V, 50/60 Hz (EU); 115 V, 50/60 Hz (US)Connection typeL+N+PEProtection classIOvervoltage categoryIIPollution degree2Power consumption25 W in normal operation, 1.7 W on standbyEMC classB, Group 1Operating temperature5 to 31 °C at up to 80 per cent relative humidity, 32 to 40 °C at up to 50 per cent relative humidity (linearly decreasing)Installation altitudeup to 2,000 m above sea levelScope of deliveryHei-PLATE Mix 20 l, order number 506-54100-00The silicone cover for the Hei-PLATE Mix 20 l is not included in the scope of delivery and must be ordered separately.Regulatory informationThis device is an electrical appliance within the meaning of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). IKA T 25 digital LR disperser, for laboratory reactors, up to 2000 ml, 0020008820
Anyone wishing to prepare emulsions, suspensions or nanoparticle formulations not in an open beaker but in a closed, temperature-controlled laboratory reactor will need a drive that can be integrated into this system. The IKA T 25 digital LR disperser (0020008820) is designed precisely for this purpose: a dedicated drive unit for high-speed dispersion in laboratory reactors, with a volume range of 1 to 2,000 millilitres (based on water) and a speed range of 600 to 25,000 revolutions per minute. Unlike a benchtop disperser for open beakers, it is designed from the outset for mechanical integration into closed reactor systems and is not intended as a stand-alone, ready-to-use laboratory instrument. Powerful drive with infinitely variable speed control The 800-watt motor (500 watts output power) covers a continuously and electronically adjustable speed range from 600 to 25,000 revolutions per minute, displayed via a digital LED display with a deviation of just 1 per cent from the set target speed. In combination with the appropriate IKA dispersion tools, high shear forces are generated in the narrow shear gap between the rotor and stator, which break down particles and droplets and homogenise liquid phases – the classic operating principle of rotor-stator dispersers. The maximum permissible viscosity of the medium is 5,000 mPa·s, a guideline value that must be taken into account when selecting the dispersing tool and controlling the process. Designed for installation in laboratory reactor systems Unlike free-standing bench-top dispersers, the T 25 digital LR is designed as a drive unit only, which can be mechanically coupled with the special dispersing tools of the KD-LR series. These tools are designed for use in closed laboratory reactors such as the IKA LR 1000 and, thanks to high-quality shaft seals, enable operation under vacuum – which is useful for preventing aerosol and foam formation in media containing surfactants or for processing oxidation-sensitive batches under an inert atmosphere. Neither the dispersing tool nor the reactor itself is included with the T 25 digital LR; both must be purchased separately to suit the specific application. Electronic overload protection and digital display An integrated microprocessor maintains the set speed even when the resistance of the medium changes, for example if the viscosity of a batch increases during the reaction. If the stirring tool becomes suddenly blocked, for example by a jammed particle, an electronic overload protection system switches off the motor and displays an error code; this protects both the motor and the coupled dispersing tool. The unit is designed for continuous operation with a permissible duty cycle of 100 per cent. Compact design for mounting on a reactor stand Measuring 87 x 271 x 106 millimetres and weighing 2.5 kilograms, the T 25 digital LR can be mounted on a reactor stand to save space. The noise level without the dispersing tool fitted is 75 dB(A). The housing is rated to protection class IP 20 and approved for an ambient temperature of 5 to 40 degrees Celsius. It can be connected to either 220 to 240 volts or 100 to 120 volts at 50 or 60 hertz. Selecting the appropriate dispersing tool Which KD-LR tool is suitable in each individual case depends on the reactor volume, the desired immersion depth and the viscosity range of the medium. The tools in this series feature an extended design so that, even in larger reaction vessels, they reach right down to the bottom of the vessel and continue to disperse effectively there, rather than leaving dead volume unused. As the T 25 digital LR is designed as a drive for different reactor sizes and tool variants, the same drive can often continue to be used when process requirements change, whilst only the dispersing tool is replaced. Typical applications As a drive unit for laboratory reactors, the T 25 digital LR is used wherever dispersion processes must take place under controlled, closed conditions: Production of emulsions and creams under air-exclusion conditions in closed reactors Dispersion and homogenisation of suspensions with controlled temperature regulation Scale-up trials between open beaker stirring and pilot reactors Production of finely dispersed systems with limited sample volumes from 1 millilitre Process development in the pharmaceutical and fine chemicals industries with requirements for reproducibility Technical details Product typeDrive unit for dispersion tools in laboratory reactors Volume range (H₂O)1 to 2,000 ml Motor power (input / output)800 W / 500 W Speed range600 to 25,000 rpm, electronically continuously adjustable Speed deviation1 % Speed displayLED display Maximum permissible viscosity of the medium5,000 mPa·s Noise level (without dispersing tool)75 dB(A) Permissible duty cycle100 % (continuous operation) Motor protectionElectronic overload protection with error code display Dimensions (W x H x D)87 x 271 x 106 mm Arm length / Arm diameter160 mm / 13 mm Weight2.5 kg Protection class (to DIN EN 60529)IP 20 Permissible ambient temperature5 to 40 °C Power supply220 to 240 V or 100 to 120 V, 50/60 Hz Contents of delivery 1 x IKA T 25 digital LR drive unit 1 x mains lead for IT equipment 1 x operating instructions Not included are the required dispersing tool from the KD-LR series, the laboratory reactor itself, and a stand for mounting the drive unit. These components must be procured separately to suit the specific application. Customised requirements & procurement service As the T 25 digital LR is designed purely as a drive unit, you will also need a suitable dispersing tool from the KD-LR series and a stand solution to secure the drive in order to operate it on your laboratory reactor. Through our procurement service, we can assist you in selecting the appropriate dispersing tool for your specific application, as well as stand materials, spare parts and accessories for integration into existing reactor systems. IKA C-MAG HS 7 control, magnetic stirrer with heating, ceramic hotplate, 0020002694
Thermodynamic infrared transmission and amorphous ceramic matrix The introduction of extremely high thermal energy into chemical reaction systems requires material architectures that are thermophysically resistant to massive temperature gradients. The IKA C-MAG HS 7 control utilises a monolithic base plate made of glass-hard, amorphous industrial ceramic (180 x 180 mm). This microstructured ceramic plate is not only characterised by absolute chemical inertness towards highly corrosive acids, halogens and bases, but also acts as an excellent infrared transmitter. With a massive heating capacity of 1,000 watts, the system generates surface temperatures of up to 500 °C. The thermal energy is not primarily transferred via pure heat conduction, but is coupled deep into the glass matrix of the reaction vessel with a high proportion of infrared radiation. This minimises thermodynamic latency and enables extremely rapid heating rates for high-boiling-point solvents or melt digestion. Electromagnetic kinematics and rheological trend metrology The physical mixing of structurally viscous fluids up to a macroscopic volume of 20 litres requires a constant, slip-free torque. The system generates a strong alternating electromagnetic field that continuously synchronises the stirring rod within the medium at speeds of 50 to 1,500 revolutions per minute. The electronic motor control compensates for rheological resistance in real time. A fundamental analytical function of this cybernetic model is the measurement of the relative torque trend. The system measures the electromagnetic phase shift induced by changes in the fluid’s viscosity during molecular polymerisation, cross-linking or crystallisation processes, and displays this vector change directly on the high-resolution LCD display. System cybernetics and hardened interface architecture To protect the electronic control unit in toxic or highly corrosive laboratory environments, the entire user interface is isolated behind a monolithic, chemically resistant sheet of real glass (hardened glass). Thermodynamic control within the medium is achieved via a PID cascade control system directly coupled to the supplied PT 1000 temperature sensor, thereby physically eliminating thermal overshoot. An independent, hardware-based safety circuit (continuously adjustable from 100 to 650 °C) and the IKA SmartTemp ® optical warning system guarantee absolute occupational health and safety by warning of latent infrared residual heat from the ceramic matrix, even after the primary power supply has been disconnected. Customised requirements & accessories The C-MAG HS 7 control is a high-performance thermodynamic instrument that achieves its control precision solely through the exact positioning of the sensor system. To complete the PID control loop, the supplied PT-1000 probe must be positioned freely within the liquid phase. For this purpose, vertical locking using an IKA support rod (H 16 V) and cross-shaped sleeve (H 44) is essential. If the probe comes into contact with the hot vessel wall, this would distort the cybernetic control loop. For highly corrosive media that attack stainless steel, we recommend switching to the glass-sheathed PT 1000.70 probe. Please contact our procurement service at any time for the thermodynamically correct configuration.
Heidolph Hei-PLATE Sensor Basic Package Core+ Magnetic Stirrer Set, Ø145 mm, with Pt1000 Probe, 506-21150-00
A digital display on the hotplate and an external temperature probe in the vessel are, for many laboratories, the first step towards traceable temperature control. The Sensor Basic Core+ package combines the Hei-PLATE Mix’n’Heat Core+ digital magnetic stirrer, with a footprint of 145 millimetres, with an external Pt1000 temperature probe, whilst remaining a basic configuration without a stand or silicone cover.LCD display and two heating modesThe Hei-PLATE Mix’n’Heat Core+ included in the pack displays speed and temperature on an LCD screen; the dynamic control knobs respond to the speed of hand movement, slow for fine adjustment, fast for larger increments. There are two heating modes to choose from: FAST for rapid heating and PRECISE for control without overshoot. The included Pt1000 temperature probe (V4A, order number 509-67910-00) measures the temperature directly within the medium rather than just on the heating plate, with an accuracy of ±0.2 Kelvin plus the tolerance of the Pt1000 sensor and a resolution of 1 Kelvin. In conjunction with the probe, the magnetic stirrer covers a display and measurement range from 15 to 325 degrees Celsius. Why the temperature in the medium mattersWithout an external probe, a heating plate only controls the temperature of its own surface, not that of the liquid in the vessel. For buffers, solutions or reaction mixtures with a defined target temperature, this makes a difference, particularly when the volume or shape of the vessel changes. The Pt1000 probe is immersed in the medium and provides the control system with the actual value. This allows the set temperature to be reproduced independently of the vessel.Typical applicationsBuffer and solution preparations with a fixed target temperature in the vesselReaction mixtures where the temperature is to be monitored directly inside the flaskFirst steps towards documented temperature control without additional accessoriesUpgrading an existing Core+ magnetic stirrer with an external sensorSelection guide: Basic or AdvancedIf you wish to secure the sensor permanently and protect the work surface between uses, you’ll find the right equipment in the Core+ Sensor Advanced Package, which includes an additional mount and silicone cover. For reflux set-ups with a condenser, there are the dedicated Core+ and Core+ Mini reflux packages. If you do not require an LCD display and are happy with the simpler rotary knob operation, the Sensor Advanced Package Core offers the analogue alternative.Technical detailsDimensions (W x H x D)168 x 101 x 299 mmHeating plate footprintØ 145 mmWeightapprox. 3 kgMaximum permissible load25 kgDriveEC motor, counter-clockwise rotationSpeed range100 to 1,400 rpmheating power800 W at 230 V (EU), 600 W at 115 V (US)Heating temperature range20 to 300 °CHeating controlPIDDisplayLCD displayTemperature measurement accuracy±0.2 K plus Pt1000 toleranceTemperature measurement resolution1 KDisplay and measurement range with Pt100015 to 325 °CProtection class (EN 60529)IP42Sound pressure levelless than 50 dB(A)Rated voltage230 V, 50/60 Hz (EU), 115 V, 50/60 Hz (US)Power consumptionNormal operation 825 W (EU) / 625 W (US), standby 1.7 WScope of deliveryHei-PLATE Mix’n’Heat Core+ magnetic stirrer, 145 mm base area, order number 506-21100-00Pt1000 temperature sensor (V4A), order number 509-67910-00The mounting bracket and silicone cover are not included with this order number; they are part of the more comprehensive Sensor Advanced package.Regulatory informationThe devices in this package are electrical appliances within the meaning of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). Binder FD-S 56 Drying and Heating Oven, Solid.Line with forced convection, 55 l, up to 250 °C, 9090-0018
If you need to dry laboratory glassware reliably after cleaning or store samples at a constant temperature, you don’t need a high-tech cabinet – you need a robust workhorse. The Binder FD-S 56 from the Solid.Line range is built precisely for this purpose: a drying and heating cabinet with forced air circulation and a 55-litre usable volume, deliberately stripped back to the essentials. Rather than offering numerous additional functions, the Solid.Line provides BINDER’s tried-and-tested quality and reliability at a more affordable entry-level price than the Avantgarde.Line (FD series): a conscious choice for anyone looking for a solid convection drying oven without any frills. Solid.Line instead of Avantgarde.Line: reduced but well-thought-out features The FD-S 56 covers a temperature range from 10 °C above ambient temperature up to 250 °C. Whilst this is lower than the maximum offered by the Avantgarde.Line models (up to 300 °C), it is entirely sufficient for most routine applications in drying and heat treatment. Control is via a controller with a timer function; the APT.line preheating chamber technology ensures even temperature distribution inside the chamber despite its simpler design. The exhaust air flap can be adjusted so that the air exchange can be tailored to the specific drying process. Heating times and energy consumption in everyday use At 150 °C, the FD-S 56 achieves a spatial temperature deviation of 2.6 ± K and a temporal deviation of 0.4 ± K. The heating time to 150 °C is approximately 15 minutes; once the door is opened, the set temperature is reached again after about 5 minutes. The air change rate at 100 °C is 4 air changes per hour. Energy consumption at 150 °C is 290 Wh/h: a figure that has a direct impact on running costs when used frequently in day-to-day laboratory work. Typical applications A compact, forced-air drying and heating cabinet such as the FD-S 56 is suitable for day-to-day tasks in laboratories and quality assurance, where reliability in continuous use is more important than the highest temperature accuracy. Drying of cleaned laboratory glassware and sample vessels Warm storage and conditioning of material samples Simple heat treatment processes in quality assurance and training Routine drying in industrial and testing laboratories with limited space With external dimensions of 614 x 577 x 625 mm and a weight of 35 kg, the FD-S 56 fits comfortably on smaller laboratory benches or in ancillary rooms, without compromising on its 55-litre capacity for day-to-day drying tasks. Through our procurement service, LT Laborhandel will be happy to assist you with procurement and configuration. Selection guide within the range The Solid.Line FD-S series is currently available from BINDER in two sizes. Both share the same temperature range, control concept and features, but differ significantly in terms of usable volume and footprint. ModelUseful volumeExternal dimensions (W x D x H)Well suited for FD-S 56 (9090-0018)55 l614 x 577 x 625 mmsmaller batches, limited floor space FD-S 115 (9090-0024)106 l764 x 616 x 735 mmLarger batches, higher throughput Anyone who regularly dries larger quantities of laboratory glassware or sample material is better served by the FD-S 115. For day-to-day routine operation with smaller quantities, the FD-S 56 described here is generally sufficient. Differences compared to the Avantgarde.Line, Classic.Line and natural convection The Solid.Line is one of three equipment ranges in which BINDER offers drying and heating cabinets. It reliably covers the basic functions, but omits some of the features found in Avantgarde.Line models of the same volume, such as the FD 56: The temperature range tops out at 250 °C instead of 300 °C, and control is via a simpler controller with a timer function rather than an LCD display. In return, the Solid.Line has a lower entry-level price than the Avantgarde.Line, as described in the introductory section. Those who require gentler heat distribution without air movement inside the chamber, rather than forced circulation, will find the ED-S 56 to be the ideal counterpart within the Solid.Line range: the same housing design, but with heat distribution via natural convection rather than via the fan found in the FD-S 56. BINDER also uses the designation Classic.Line for certain smaller models. The current master data does not provide a consistent record of which LT items belong to this third line; therefore, no specific classification is stated here. An overview of the entire Binder range available from LT Laborhandel can be found in the ‘Climate Chambers & Incubators’ category. Application, Operation and Maintenance In day-to-day use, the Solid.Line range really comes into its own in terms of cycle times: the heating-up time to 150 °C for the FD-S 56 is around 15 minutes; once the door is opened, the set temperature is reached again after approximately 5 minutes. The spatial temperature deviation of 2.6 ± K and the temporal deviation of 0.4 ± K at 150 °C are sufficient for most routine applications in drying and heat treatment, even though both values exceed the accuracy of comparable Avantgarde.Line models. If the door is opened frequently – for example, when loading sample vessels in stages – the recovery time of around 5 minutes has a direct impact on overall throughput during daily operation. Practical note: Standard, non-abrasive laboratory cleaners are suitable for cleaning the interior; we advise against the use of abrasive or chlorine-based agents. The built-in Class 2 temperature limiter in accordance with DIN 12880, featuring a visual alarm, provides additional protection against accidental overheating during unattended drying cycles. Calibration is recommended for regular checks of temperature accuracy; LT Laborhandel can arrange suitable calibration certificates via its procurement service. Investment rationale: When Solid.Line is sufficient, and when Avantgarde.Line is worthwhile For routine tasks up to 250 °C, where a simple timer controller is sufficient, the Solid.Line meets requirements reliably and at a lower cost than the Avantgarde.Line. If, on the other hand, a higher temperature range up to 300 °C is required, an LCD display with more precise process control is desired, or the process needs to be documented, a model such as the FD 56 from the Avantgarde.Line is the more suitable choice, even if this entails a higher purchase price. For higher throughput within the Solid.Line range itself, the larger FD-S 115 model is available, rather than switching straight to the Avantgarde.Line. The FD-S 56 comes as standard with a chrome-plated loading rack, including a base support. For higher loading densities, additional loading racks are available as accessories, as are calibration certificates and maintenance contracts of varying scope; both can be obtained via LT Laborhandel’s procurement service. Frequently asked questions about the Binder FD-S 56 What is the usable volume of the FD-S 56?55 litres, with external dimensions of 614 x 577 x 625 mm. What distinguishes the FD-S 56 from the FD-S 115?With a capacity of 106 litres, the FD-S 115 offers roughly twice the usable volume but takes up more floor space; otherwise, both models are technically identical. What distinguishes the Solid.Line from the FD 56 model in the Avantgarde.Line? The FD-S 56 covers a temperature range up to 250 °C, whilst the FD 56 covers a range up to 300 °C. The Avantgarde.Line is also controlled via an LCD display rather than a simple timer controller. Is the FD-S 56 also available with a 120 V connection?Yes, in addition to the 230 V version, the appliance is also available as a 120 V variant. How do I clean the interior?A mild, non-abrasive laboratory cleaner is sufficient. It is best to avoid using abrasive or chlorine-based cleaners (practical advice). Can I have the FD-S 56 calibrated?Yes, LT Laborhandel can arrange the relevant calibration certificates via its procurement service. What is included in the scope of delivery? The FD-S 56 (9090-0018), a chrome-plated insert rack including a base support, and the user manual.
Memmert Incubator IN750m, 749 l, +20 to +80 °C, SingleDISPLAY
The Memmert Incubator IN750m is a Class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745 with the intended purpose of heating and keeping warm fango, silicate and APS packs in physiotherapy. With 749 litres of internal volume and internal dimensions of 1,040 x 1,200 x 600 mm, it is the largest model in the IN-m series and holds up to 14 shelves, more than any other model in the series.Control, display and data loggerThe ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY controls the temperature, and its core is an adaptive, multifunctional PID microprocessor controller with a high-resolution TFT colour graphic display. Measurement is made via a Pt100 sensor of DIN class A using 4-wire technology with a setting accuracy of 0.1 °C. The digital countdown timer can be programmed from 1 minute to 99 days, and SetpointWAIT lets the process time begin only once the set temperature has been reached. After a power failure, the program sequence remains stored, the data logger can be read out via Ethernet using the time-limited trial version of AtmoCONTROL, and a USB stick with the software is available as an accessory.Safety and air circulationA mechanical temperature limiter TB of protection class 1 to DIN 12880 switches the heating off at approx. 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature, and an adjustable electronic temperature monitor and a self-diagnosis system for fault finding complete the safety technology. Natural ventilation receives pre-heated fresh air via an electronically adjustable exhaust air flap, and an electronically adjustable throttle valve regulates at the exhaust air port. Three temperature values can be freely calibrated.Interior, doors and connectionThe interior is made of easy-care, deep-drawn, ribbed stainless steel and has a protected, integrated 4-sided all-round heating. Two electropolished stainless steel grid shelves are included as standard, and a maximum of 14 shelves is possible at 30 kg per shelf and 300 kg total load. The fully insulated stainless steel doors have 2-point locking with a compression door seal and inner glass doors. The connection is 230 V with approx. 2,000 W or 115 V with approx. 1,800 W, in each case 50/60 Hz. Externally, the IN750m measures 1,224 x 1,720 x 784 mm plus 56 mm door handle, approx. 217 kg net and approx. 288 kg gross in the carton.Distinction: laboratory unit IN750 and IN750mplusWithout a medical intended purpose, the same size is available as the Memmert Incubator IN750. The IN750mplus also offers 749 litres, but shows its values via a ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY instead of SingleDISPLAY and has a different intended purpose: tempering of irrigation and infusion solutions and contrast media, not heating of fango, silicate and APS packs.Selection guide: which size fitsThe IN750m is the largest model in the series. The smaller IN450m has 449 litres and, with eight shelves, significantly fewer loading positions, at the same total load of 300 kg and the same load of 30 kg per shelf. With 14 shelves and 1,200 mm internal height, the IN750m offers the most shelf levels in the series.Typical applicationsAs a Class I medical device, the IN750m is intended exclusively for the physiotherapeutic applications named in the intended purpose.Heating of fango packs for physiotherapeutic useHeating and keeping warm of silicate packsHeating and keeping warm of APS packsTechnical detailsSetting temperature range+20 to +80 °CWorking temperature rangemin. 5 °C above room temperature to +80 °CTemperature setting accuracy0.1 °CTemperature sensor1x Pt100, DIN class A, 4-wire measurementInternal volume749 lInternal dimensions (W x H x D)1,040 x 1,200 x 600 mmExternal dimensions of housing (W x H x D)1,224 x 1,720 x 784 mm (plus 56 mm door handle)Net weightapprox. 217 kgConnection230 V, 50/60 Hz, approx. 2,000 W; 115 V, 50/60 Hz, approx. 1,800 WShelves in scope of delivery2Shelves, maximum14Max. load, unit300 kgMax. load per shelf30 kgControlControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY, PID microprocessor controller, TFT colour graphic displayMedical device classificationClass I under Regulation (EU) 2017/745Intended purposeHeating/keeping warm of fango, silicate and APS packs in physiotherapyPermissible ambient temperature5 °C to 40 °CPermissible humiditymax. 80 % rel., non-condensingMarkingsCE, VDE, ULOther sizes in the seriesThe IN750m is one of eight sizes in the IN-m series from 32 to 749 litres, all with SingleDISPLAY and the same setting temperature range of +20 to +80 °C.ModelInternal volumeSetting temperatureDisplayIN30m32 l+20 to +80 °CSingleDISPLAYIN55m53 l+20 to +80 °CSingleDISPLAYIN75m74 l+20 to +80 °CSingleDISPLAYIN110m108 l+20 to +80 °CSingleDISPLAYIN160m161 l+20 to +80 °CSingleDISPLAYIN260m256 l+20 to +80 °CSingleDISPLAYIN450m449 l+20 to +80 °CSingleDISPLAYIN750m (this page)749 l+20 to +80 °CSingleDISPLAYScope of deliveryFactory calibration certificate (calibration at +37 °C)Fully insulated stainless steel doors with 2-point locking (compression door seal), inner glass doors2x stainless steel grid shelf, electropolishedRegulatory informationThe device is electrical equipment within the meaning of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG).
