Meditrade Nitrile Black Examination Gloves, black (100 pcs.), 1284X
Meditrade Nitril Black is a powder-free, latex-free nitrile examination glove that combines high levels of protection with a striking black appearance. It is dual-certified as a Class I medical device and as Category III personal protective equipment. Black colour for tattooing, beauty treatments, catering and contrast detection The black colour is popular wherever stains from ink, paint or food need to be concealed, or where a uniform, professional appearance is desired. In tattoo and beauty salons, black has now almost become the standard; it looks professional and does not immediately reveal colour residues from ink or pigments. In the catering industry and at events, the uniform black appearance ensures staff look well-groomed. In laboratories and in the medical sector, black offers a practical additional benefit: light-coloured powders, tablets or crystals stand out clearly against the dark glove, making it easier to spot spills or contamination – a contrast that a natural-coloured glove does not provide. Latex-free The glove is completely latex-free, providing a safe alternative for staff with a diagnosed Type 1 latex allergy, regardless of the area of application. Certified to EN 455 and PPE Category III The Nitril Black complies with EN 455 for examination gloves and is classified as Category III personal protective equipment (PPE), the highest PPE category for complex risks. It is also suitable for contact with food. Meditrade NextGen Nitrile Examination Gloves, blue, 100 pcs., sizes XS–XXL, 1283X
In day-to-day laboratory work, a nitrile glove must do two things at once: provide reliable protection whilst being so unobtrusive that you forget you’re wearing it whilst working. The Meditrade Nitrile NextGen is designed precisely for this purpose. It is blue, powder-free, latex-free and holds dual certification: as a Class I medical device and as Category III personal protective equipment. This means that a single pack covers what would otherwise require two different types of gloves in the cupboard. Blue nitrile gloves: why the colour matters In laboratory and medical settings, blue is the established signal colour for disposable gloves. It stands out clearly against most work materials, which has two practical advantages. Firstly, a tear or hole is spotted more quickly because of the high contrast with the skin. Secondly, a torn piece of glove is easier to spot in a production process or in a sample than one that is a natural colour. In food processing, this is precisely why blue gloves have been the standard there for years: the colour is virtually never found naturally in food. Thickness, tear resistance and grip The glove is deliberately designed to be thin so that tactile sensitivity is maintained. The thickness is 0.07 mm on the palm, 0.10 mm on the fingertips and 0.07 mm on the back of the hand, in each case with a tolerance of 0.02 mm. The slightly greater thickness on the fingers is no coincidence; this is the area subject to the greatest mechanical stress. Despite the thin material, the median tear strength is at least 6.0 N, both when new and after artificial ageing. This is the more relevant of the two values, as gloves are rarely found on the shelf straight from production. The surface is micro-textured. This ensures a good grip when vessels, pipettes or instruments are damp, without the need to grip any tighter than necessary. The rolled cuff stabilises the glove whilst putting it on and prevents it from rolling down whilst working. With a length of at least 240 mm, it extends securely over the wrist. Latex-free, powder-free, protein-free The Nitrile NextGen is manufactured without natural rubber latex and is therefore suitable for people with a diagnosed type 1 latex allergy. As it is also powder-free, it does not contain maize starch dust, which acts as an allergen carrier in powdered gloves and is a source of particles that can cause disruption in cleanrooms or during sensitive analyses. The glove is also free from mercaptobenzothiazoles and thiurams, two groups of accelerators that are frequently responsible for type 4 contact allergies. However, it does contain dithiocarbamates, which is why it should not be used by anyone with a known hypersensitivity to this group of substances. Dual certification: medical device and PPE Category III As an examination glove, the Nitrile NextGen complies with the EN 455-1 to EN 455-4 series and is classified as a Class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745. At the same time, it is Category III personal protective equipment (PPE) under Regulation (EU) 2016/425, i.e. the highest category intended to protect against irreversible damage to health. This is demonstrated by testing in accordance with EN 374-1, -2, -4 and -5, as well as EN 16523 for permeation and ASTM F 1671 for the penetration of blood-borne pathogens. The general requirements for protective gloves set out in EN 21420:2020 are also met. The gloves are tested for freedom from holes with an AQL of 1.5. They are manufactured under a quality management system in accordance with EN ISO 13485:2016. The gloves are expressly suitable for contact with food. Typical areas of use Laboratory: sample preparation, handling reagents and disinfectants, work at the workbench, cleaning glassware Medicine and care: examinations, taking samples, changing dressings, patient contact Food processing: Portioning, packaging, order picking, work relating to production hygiene Industry and cleaning: handling cleaning and disinfectant chemicals, assembly and testing work requiring a delicate touch A typical real-world scenario: In a routine laboratory, samples are prepared in the morning, analytical work is carried out at midday, and disinfection takes place in the afternoon. Anyone who has to keep three different types of gloves on hand for this has three stocks to manage and three potential sources of error when reaching into the box. A glove that complies with both EN 455 and PPE Category III, and is also food-safe, reduces this to a single item. Storage and shelf life Store in a cool, dry place and protect from direct sunlight. The shelf life is 3 or 5 years depending on the batch; the exact date is stated on the packaging. The glove is non-sterile and intended for single use only; reuse is not permitted, even after cleaning, as changes in the material cannot be reliably detected. Meditrade Gentle Skin Sensitive Latex Gloves, natural colour, powder-free, 100 pieces, size L, 1221RLT
Meditrade Gentle Skin Sensitive is a low-protein examination glove made from natural latex, designed for situations where tactile sensitivity and a snug fit are particularly important – such as for tasks requiring fine motor skills in laboratories and the care sector. Natural latex offers high elasticity with low mechanical tension, allowing the glove to fit snugly without causing fatigue even during prolonged wear. Low-protein thanks to a sophisticated processing method Natural latex naturally contains water-soluble proteins which can trigger allergic reactions in some people. The Sensitive range is therefore treated using a multi-stage washing process (leaching), which largely removes proteins and residues from the manufacturing process – the protein content is less than 30 µg/g. The inside is also chlorinated, making the gloves easy to put on without powder. Non-slip and tear-resistant The micro-textured surface ensures a secure grip, both when dry and in contact with liquids such as saline solution or blood. With a tear strength of at least 6.0 N (pre-ageing, in accordance with EN 455-2) and an elongation of at least 650 per cent, the glove is designed for frequent donning and doffing in everyday clinical and laboratory practice; the rolled cuff further reinforces the cuff edge to prevent it from unrolling. Standards and scope of use The glove complies with EN 455 (Parts 1–4) for single-use medical gloves; it is certified as a Class I medical device in accordance with EU Regulation 2017/745 and as Category III PPE in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/425, and is chemical-resistant in accordance with EN ISO 374-1 (Type C) and offers protection against viruses in accordance with EN ISO 374-5. With an AQL of 1.5, barrier integrity is ensured to a high standard. Furthermore, they are suitable for food contact in accordance with BfR Recommendation XXI – relevant, for example, for sample preparation in food analysis. As they are made of natural latex, the gloves may swell on contact with non-polar solvents (e.g. oils, fats) and should not be used for this purpose – nitrile gloves are the more suitable choice in such cases. Technical details MaterialNatural latex ColourNatural / Beige Protein content< 30 µg/g (leaching-optimised) AcceleratorsContains zinc diethyldithiocarbamate (ZDC), zinc dibutyldithiocarbamate (ZDBC) Wall thickness (palm side)approx. 0.12 mm Wall thickness (fingers)approx. 0.15 mm Length≥ 240 mm Tensile strength (before ageing)≥ 6.0 N (EN 455-2) Elongation (before ageing)≥ 650 % AQL1.5 PropertiesPowder-free, micro-textured, chlorinated, rolled edge, ambidextrous, food-safe (BfR Recommendation XXI) SterilityNon-sterile, for single use StandardsEN 455 (Parts 1–4), EN ISO 374-1 (Type C), EN ISO 374-5, Class I medical device, PPE Category III Contents 1 Meditrade Gentle Skin Sensitive dispenser box, 100 pieces (see variant selection for size) Warning: This product contains natural latex and may cause allergic reactions in people with a known latex allergy. Meditrade Gentle Skin Grip, latex examination gloves, powder-free, 100 pieces – M, 1221GRIP-M
Polymer physics and elastic kinematics In clinical and chemical-analytical laboratory practice, uncompromising mechanical barrier protection whilst maintaining tactile sensitivity is crucial. The Meditrade Gentle Skin Grip is made from high-purity natural rubber latex (polyisoprene). The macromolecular matrix of this biogenic polymer offers mechanical tear resistance and elasticity that synthetic elastomers can scarcely match physically. Unlike nitrile or vinyl, the highly cross-linked isoprene chains return almost entirely to their original structure following severe mechanical stretching or torsional stress (memory effect). This extreme restorative force ensures that the glove fits snugly against the skin, thereby eliminating dead spaces and drastically reducing occupational muscle fatigue during repetitive pipetting tasks. Tribological adhesion and tactile metrology Handling smooth, wet glass flasks or microscopically small analytical vials requires optimal rheological interface conditions. To prevent uncontrolled slipping, Gentle Skin Grip gloves feature a fully textured (micro-roughened) surface structure. This specific modification significantly increases the coefficient of friction at the polymer interface. It generates maximum micromechanical adhesion (grip) between the glove and the instrument, without dampening the transmission of haptic impulses to the mechanoreceptors in the fingertips. Prevention of immunological contamination and aerosol blockage Natural rubber latex contains water-soluble proteins which can trigger immunological reactions in sensitised users. The complete absence of powder on the inner lining of the Gentle Skin Grip acts as an essential preventive barrier. The powder-free design blocks the fluid-dynamic formation of aerosols from carrier particles when putting on and taking off the gloves. This prevents the airborne spread of rubber proteins and minimises the risk of respiratory sensitisation; however, it strictly excludes the system for users with an already established Type I latex allergy. Furthermore, the powder-free surface effectively prevents metrological cross-contamination caused by stray talc particles in sensitive molecular biological (PCR) or spectroscopic trace analysis. Technical details Product type: Disposable examination and protective gloves (variations available for all sizes) Material: Natural rubber latex (polyisoprene) Tribology: Micro-textured surface across the entire surface for maximum tactile adhesion Kinematics: Extreme elastic recovery and macromolecular tear resistance Occupational safety: Powder-free to eliminate particle aerosols and cross-contamination Immunological limitations: Contains biogenic rubber proteins (contraindicated in cases of diagnosed Type I latex allergy) Design: Suitable for use on either hand (ambidextrous), with a mechanically rolled cuff Packaging unit (PU): 1 dispenser box = 100 pieces Contents 1 x Meditrade Gentle Skin Grip dispenser box in the selected size (contents: 100 pieces) (Important note: This is a non-sterile, single-use consumable which must be disposed of properly following any chemical or biological contamination!) Individual requirements & accessories Choosing the exact glove size (XS to XL) is not only a matter of ergonomics but is also essential from an occupational health perspective: an elastomer that is too tight is under constant tensile stress and is prone to rupture, whilst a glove that is too large compromises tactile precision and creates pathways for solvents to enter the cuff. To efficiently ensure logistical availability in high-throughput laboratories, we recommend purchasing in sealed bulk cardboard packs (10 boxes of 100 pieces each). Unicare Black Latex, Latex gloves, Black, Powder-free, 100 pieces - S, GS2902
Unicare Black Latex is a powder-free latex examination glove in black, which is also certified as a chemical-protective glove in accordance with EN 374 (Type B). It therefore offers documented protection against viruses, fungi and bacteria and is suitable for tasks requiring more than just basic medical protection. Documented chemical protection Unlike a standard examination glove, the Black Latex has been tested in accordance with EN ISO 374-1 against a range of specific chemicals, with documented permeation values for caustic soda, sulphuric acid, nitric acid, hydrogen peroxide and formaldehyde. This makes it a better choice than a standard examination glove wherever more aggressive chemicals are handled in the laboratory or during cleaning, not just when dealing with water and mild disinfectants. Black colour for contrast and visibility The black colour stands out clearly against light-coloured powders, tablets or substances, making spilled material in the laboratory easier to spot than with a natural-coloured glove. At the same time, black is a popular, professional-looking alternative to the usual light-coloured disposable gloves in sectors such as cosmetics, tattooing and catering. Please note: latex allergy The glove is made from natural rubber latex; it is not suitable for users with a diagnosed latex allergy – in such cases, we recommend a nitrile alternative from our range. Macherey-Nagel pleated filter MN 616 md, high-quality, 4–7 µm (Ø 55–500 mm)
For finer particulate matter: Macherey-Nagel MN 616 md pleated filter Macherey-Nagel MN 616 md pleated filters are the right choice when standard filters (such as the MN 615) reach their limits. In this quality grade, the abbreviation ‘md’ stands for a slightly higher density and improved retention capacity. These are high-quality filter papers that are machine-pleated (1/4-fold) so that they can be inserted into the funnel straight away. The difference: medium-speed to slow In everyday laboratory work, it often happens that fine-grained precipitates pass through a standard filter (leaving the filtrate cloudy). This is where the MN 616 md comes into its own: Filtration rate: At approximately 55 seconds (in accordance with DIN 53137), this paper filters about half as fast as the standard MN 615 type. This reduced flow rate is necessary to reliably retain finer particles. Retention capacity: The pore size range is 4 to 7 µm. This ensures that fine precipitates such as barium sulphate (cold-precipitated), tin oxide or sugar solutions are reliably clarified. Surface: The filters are smooth, which enables good recovery of the precipitate. Advantages of pleated filters Despite the finer pore structure, you benefit from the pleated geometry. The large surface area prevents the filter from becoming clogged quickly, which is often a problem with flat circular filters of the same density. You obtain a clear filtrate within a reasonable time. Quality and purity The MN 616 md grade is made from high-quality cellulose with a very high proportion of alpha-cellulose. The ash content is < 0.1 per cent, which makes the paper virtually chemically inert. It is perfectly suited to qualitative analyses in chemistry, biology and food monitoring. Available sizes We offer this speciality paper in a comprehensive range, from small 55 mm filters for micro-funnel applications right up to the 500 mm large format for technical applications. Areas of application Analytical: Filtration of fine precipitates (e.g. calcium oxalate, magnesium ammonium phosphate). Beverage industry: Clarification of wine, beer or juices in cases of fine turbidity. Electroplating: Bath maintenance for fine suspended solids. Environment: Soil analysis and water treatment. Technical data Type: MN 616 md (pleated filter) Type: High-quality filter paper Filtration rate: Medium-fast to slow (approx. 55 s) Surface: Smooth Basis weight: 85 g/m² Thickness: 0.17 mm Retention range: 4–7 µm (fine particles) Ash content: approx. 0.1 % Material: Cellulose Format: folded into quarters Packaging unit: 100 pieces per pack Contents 1 x pack of 100 Macherey-Nagel pleated filters (type MN 616 md) (The diameter corresponds to the variant you selected above.) Custom requirements & accessories When should you choose MN 616 md instead of MN 615? Opt for MN 616 md if your filtrate is still cloudy when using MN 615. Switch back to MN 615 if filtration with MN 616 md takes too long and the filtrate is already clear enough. Do you need funnels, stand fittings or beakers to collect the filtrate? We can fully equip your workstation. Please contact our procurement service.

WTW Technical Buffer Solution pH 7, Calibration Standard Series, (50 ml – 1000 ml)
WTW Technical Buffer Solution pH 7 (108802, 108702, 108708), defined as a high-precision electrochemical calibration standard, provides the metrological foundation for the validation of pH measurement chains in pharmaceutical analysis, biotechnology research and industrial quality assurance. In chemical metrology, a pH value of 7.00 represents the electrical zero point (isopotential point) of most commercially available pH electrodes. From a physico-chemical perspective, the effectiveness of this buffer solution is based on a precisely balanced phosphate buffer system consisting of dihydrogen phosphate (H₂PO₄⁻) and hydrogen phosphate (HPO₄²⁻). This system utilises chemical equilibrium to neutralise external acidic or basic influences, thereby maintaining the hydrogen ion activity at a constant level over a wide range. For procurement professionals in the pharmaceutical industry and research, the reliability of this zero point is an essential prerequisite for investment security, as it forms the basis for the linear calculation of the slope across the entire measurement range. Thermodynamics of ion activity and temperature coefficients The thermodynamics of the WTW Technical Buffer Solution pH 7 are characterised by a strictly defined temperature dependence of the dissociation constant. As the pH value is physically defined as the negative decimal logarithm of the H+ activity, changes in temperature affect the chemical equilibrium via the kinetic energy of the system. The TEP 7, TPL 7 and STP 7 variants feature a detailed temperature table, printed on the label, covering the range from 0 °C to 95 °C. This metrological precision is of fundamental importance for modern pH metres with automatic temperature compensation (ATC) in order to calculate the Nernst factor physically correctly and minimise measurement uncertainty. In industrial process analysis, where measurements are often taken far from the standard temperature of 25 °C, this documented temperature coefficient guarantees the full traceability of results to national primary standards. Variant-specific kinetics and application profiles (STP, TPL, TEP) The range of container sizes – 50 ml (STP 7), 250 ml (TPL 7) and 1000 ml (TEP 7) – allows for specific adaptation to the respective laboratory kinetics and sample throughput. The STP 7 variant (108708), supplied in a 50 ml bottle, is ideally designed for mobile field use or for laboratories with low throughput, in order to minimise the time the opened container is left open and thus the risk of carbonation due to atmospheric CO₂. The standard 250-ml TPL 7 (108802) is the universal workhorse for daily routine calibration in university education and research. For high-throughput environments in pharmaceutical production, the 1-litre variant TEP 7 (108702) offers a highly efficient solution for supplying automated calibration stations. Each variant is subject to the same stringent electrochemical specifications, enabling easy scaling of laboratory processes without compromising analytical integrity. Material science of the barrier layer and storage stability A critical quality attribute of the WTW Technical Buffer Solution pH 7 is the chemical composition of the storage containers. The bottles are made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), which provides an excellent diffusion barrier against atmospheric gases. The ingress of carbon dioxide would physically shift the pH value into the acidic range via the formation of carbonic acid (H₂CO₃), which would lead to significant calibration errors, particularly in the neutral pH range. The stabilised matrix of the WTW buffer solutions also prevents microbiological growth without altering the surface tension of the electrode’s glass membrane. For pharmaceutical buyers, this long-term stability is a key factor in reducing TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), as the solutions exhibit a metrological drift of less than 0.01 pH units over their entire service life, provided that the handling instructions are followed. Electrochemical metrology and compliance in quality assurance Finally, the use of the WTW Technical Buffer Solution pH 7 ensures compliance with the highest regulatory standards, such as GMP, GLP and ISO 17025. When calibrating a measuring chain, the buffer solution is used to determine the asymmetry voltage. The use of technical buffers in accordance with DIN 19267 ensures a high degree of comparability of measured values between different laboratory sites. The solution’s optimised ionic strength reduces the electrode’s response time, which enhances efficiency, particularly in diagnostics and time-critical process controls. By choosing the WTW buffer series, laboratories are investing in a tried-and-tested system solution that harmonises physical excellence with the practical requirements of modern quality management. Technical Details Thermodynamics & Chemical Specifications Nominal pH value (at 25 °C): 7.00 Measurement uncertainty: ± 0.03 pH Buffer system: Phosphate buffer (based on KH₂PO₄ / Na₂HPO₄) Temperature range: 0 °C to 95 °C (with documented table of values) Kinetics: Rapid potential stabilisation through optimised ionic conductivity Metrology & Control Engineering Conformity: Complies with the requirements for technical buffers in accordance with DIN 19267 Traceability: Directly traceable to NIST / PTB primary standards Calibration function: Determination of zero point and asymmetry voltage Stability: Microbiologically stabilised, CO₂-inhibited Materials Science & Variants – Dimensions Container material: High-density polyethylene (HDPE) with barrier properties Variant STP 7 (108708): 50 ml bottle (ideal for field use) Variant TPL 7 (108802): 250 ml bottle (standard size for routine use) Variant TEP 7 (108702): 1000 ml bottle (for high-volume use/automation) Environmental conditions & storage Storage temperature: 15 °C to 25 °C (recommended) Shelf life: Typically 24 months from date of manufacture (depending on batch) Physical state: Liquid, odourless, pH-neutral Contents 1 x WTW Technical Buffer Solution pH 7 (in the selected variant: 50 ml, 250 ml or 1000 ml) 1 x temperature correction table (printed on the label) Important note: Buffer solutions are consumables. To ensure metrological integrity, solution that has been removed must never be returned to the original container. The use of a separate beaker for calibration is physically essential. Individual requirements & accessories For a complete two-point calibration, in addition to the WTW Technical Buffer Solution pH 7, a second standard (e.g. pH 4.01 TPL 4 or pH 10.01 TPL 10) is required to determine the slope of the electrode. For the maintenance of your pH sensors, we also recommend WTW cleaning solutions (e.g. RL 1 for protein removal) and a 3-molar KCl solution for the proper storage of the reference systems. All supplementary standards and maintenance kits are available via our procurement service.

Macherey-Nagel pleated filter, type MN 617, high quality, fast-filtering (Ø 55 mm – 500 mm)
Macherey-Nagel MN 617 pleated filters represent a system solution optimised in terms of materials science and highly efficient in terms of geometry, designed for rapid clarification, coarse particle separation and general sample preparation in day-to-day laboratory work. Available in an extremely wide range of diameters, from 55 mm for small-scale analytical batches up to large-area 500 mm filters for high-volume separation processes, this filter series caters for every scale of modern laboratory processes. For routine filtration in food analysis, environmental chemistry or industrial quality control, the structural purity and fibre stability of the filter paper are the primary criteria for clarifying media in a way that is gentle on the material, contamination-free and process-reliable. Maximum filtration rate thanks to pre-pleated geometry The design and fluid-mechanical foundation of this series lies in its ready-to-use pleated structure. Unlike traditional round filters, which must first be laboriously folded twice before being inserted into the funnel, the pre-formed pleat pattern multiplies the effective filtration surface area. This leads to a drastic reduction in filtration times during daily high-throughput operation. With a standardised filtration rate of approx. 9 seconds according to the manufacturer’s specification, the MN 617 grade enables an extremely rapid liquid throughput. Flow resistance is minimised, thereby gently reducing unwanted blocking effects in viscous or particle-rich sample flows. High wet tear strength and the purest raw material base From a materials science perspective, the MN 617 grade is based on refined pulp and high-quality linters, which are processed entirely free from chemical binders or additives. The smooth surface structure ensures a homogeneous non-woven fabric that exhibits excellent inherent mechanical stability. Thanks to optimised fibre entanglement, the filters possess remarkable wet tear strength. They withstand the fluid-mechanical pressure during funnel filtration without damage and do not tend to release fibres into the filtrate. With a typical ash content of approximately 0.1 per cent, the paper is perfectly suited to qualitative analytical procedures where ash-free incineration is not strictly required. Cost-effective routine use and full GLP compliance The infrastructural validity of the MN 617 pleated filters is demonstrated by their reliability in recurring routine tasks. As the filters are supplied pre-pleated and ready for use, laboratory staff save valuable working time whilst simultaneously minimising the risk of contamination from manual folding. For laboratory managers and quality management officers in regulated B2B environments, Macherey-Nagel’s range provides a reliable basis for documentation and validation, enabling recurring test processes and certifications to be carried out reliably in accordance with GLP guidelines. BINDER FD 23, drying and heating cabinet with forced air circulation, FD023-230V
The BINDER FD 23 FD023-230V is a high-precision drying and heating oven with forced convection, which serves as an indispensable instrument in pharmaceutical quality assurance, biotechnology research and materials science laboratories. At the heart of its technological superiority lies the patented APT.line™ preheating chamber technology. From a thermodynamic perspective, this system ensures homogeneous temperature distribution throughout the entire 20-litre chamber volume by directing the air flow in a controlled and symmetrical manner into the interior from both sides. For laboratory procurement officers and scientific staff, this means maximum reliability in the thermal treatment of samples, as spatial temperature gradients are physically minimised. The BINDER FD 23 FD023-230V thus ensures absolutely reproducible sample conditioning, which is of fundamental importance for the validation of SOPs in accordance with GLP/GMP guidelines. Thermodynamic efficiency and forced convection The effectiveness of the BINDER FD 23 FD023-230V is based on the targeted use of forced convection. Compared with cabinets featuring free convection (natural air circulation), this model offers a significantly higher heating rate and faster temperature recovery after the door is opened. This is particularly critical in time-sensitive drying processes or when heating media with high heat capacity. The fluid-dynamic airflow ensures that moisture is efficiently removed from the sample surface. Via a manually adjustable exhaust air flap, the user can precisely control the air exchange rate and thus the kinetics of mass transfer. In pharmaceutical research, for example, this enables the precise adjustment of the drying rate for sensitive powders or granules, in order to physically prevent thermal degradation or undesirable crystallisation processes. Material resilience and ergonomic design The interior of the BINDER FD 23 FD023-230V is constructed from high-quality stainless steel (grade 1.4301), which offers excellent corrosion resistance and chemical inertness. This is a key selling point for laboratories working with aggressive reagents or high levels of humidity during the drying process. The smooth interior surface, free from any protruding parts, allows for residue-free decontamination and cleaning, which minimises the risk of cross-contamination in multi-user settings at universities. Mechanical integrity is supported by a highly efficient insulating layer that physically limits heat loss to the outside. This not only results in high energy efficiency but also protects staff from burns on the appliance surface – an important aspect of health and safety in the hectic day-to-day life of a laboratory. Cybernetic control and metrological reliability The BINDER FD 23 FD023-230V is controlled via a microprocessor-based controller with an LCD display, which allows digital temperature setting with an accuracy of one-tenth of a degree. To ensure the safety of samples and equipment, an independent Class 2 temperature monitor (DIN 12880) is integrated. This acts as a cybernetic safety system: should the setpoint temperature be exceeded due to a fault, the visual alarm is triggered and the heating is switched off to prevent a thermal runaway scenario. For pharmaceutical companies requiring comprehensive documentation, BINDER offers optional software solutions and interfaces to transfer thermal profiles directly to a LIMS. This metrological precision makes the unit ideal for demanding applications such as the sterilisation of glassware or the thermal ageing of polymers under strictly controlled conditions. Business benefits and sustainability Finally, thanks to its durability and low-maintenance operation, the BINDER FD 23 FD023-230V offers an outstanding total cost of ownership (TCO). The robust ‘Made in Germany’ construction guarantees a long service life even when operated at full capacity on a daily basis. For educational institutions, the simple, intuitive operation is also an advantage, minimising the risk of operating errors by students. The compact design allows it to be installed even in small laboratory units, whilst the ability to stack multiple units maximises space efficiency within the laboratory. With this drying oven, you are investing in a system that combines physical precision with industrial durability. We also recommend the use of perforated stainless steel trays for particularly small samples to prevent the laminar air flow from being obstructed. For data acquisition, external temperature sensors can be fed into the chamber via an optional feed-through. Please use our procurement service to configure your bespoke accessories package.
Memmert UN110 universal cabinet (108 L) with natural convection, up to +300 °C
Memmert UN110 Universal Cabinet: Gentle and silent temperature control The Memmert UN110 is a versatile heating cabinet with a 108-litre usable volume that operates via natural convection (fanless). It is the ideal solution for sensitive samples and quiet laboratory environments that require precise temperature control up to +300 °C. Gentle heating through natural convection The ‘UN’ system (Universal + Natural convection) operates entirely without a fan. Heat circulation is purely thermal, guaranteeing completely silent operation. This principle protects light sample materials (e.g. powders, films) from turbulence and prevents the samples from drying out too quickly. Main applications of the UN110 This oven is a reliable standard for many laboratory applications: Gentle drying of laboratory glassware or powders Tempering of components and plastics Long-term heat retention of samples in continuous operation Simple control (SingleDISPLAY) Temperature and programmes (ramps) can be set intuitively via the SingleDISPLAY control panel. The AtmoCONTROL software (via USB interface) enables straightforward logging of process data to support your quality assurance.
