What do N, F and plus mean in the model name?

N stands for natural convection, F for forced air circulation. plus means TwinDISPLAY with programmable ramps and a data logger. The table further up also explains m, eco, pa, bw and TS.

What does DIN 12880 say about the temperature data?

The standard defines how heat-up time, recovery time, temperature homogeneity and temperature stability are measured, at 27 measuring points on units over 50 litres. Memmert tests heating cabinets and incubators to DIN 12880:2007-05 and, by its own account, applies the method to all equipment groups except water and oil baths. Values from different manufacturers are only comparable if they were measured to the same standard.

Which Memmert units are medical devices?

The blanket warmers IFbw (Class I) and the m variants of the universal ovens and incubators, Um, Im and Implus. Which variant your facility needs is a question for your medical device officer; we supply the intended purpose statement and the data sheet. Memmert no longer offers the hot air sterilisers SN and SF or the ICOmed CO2 incubators from 2027.

Are calibration certificates and IQ/OQ available?

Memmert offers calibration with a certificate through its service, plus support with IQ and OQ qualification and with PQ test plans. We order this together with the unit.

What is changing at Memmert in 2026/2027?

Memmert is moving the CO2 incubator ICO onto the new ICO NextGen generation; the previous generation can only be ordered until early November 2026. Memmert is replacing the ICOmed with the ICO NextGen, which is currently undergoing testing and qualification for medical use; until then, the medical devices Um, Im, Implus and IFbw remain available. ICO NextGen can be pre-ordered now, delivery from November 2026. The WTB water baths arrive in a new generation with six sizes and a pump module as an option, also available for pre-order now, delivery from January 2027. Memmert is removing the S series hot air sterilisers from its range at the end of the year, with no successor. Details are in the model change section further up.

Why isn't every Memmert unit listed in the shop?

Alongside its series, Memmert also builds special versions (m360), climate chambers with a lighting module (ICHL), environmental simulation chambers (Testa) and large pass-through ovens such as the UF1250TS. We source these on request with price and lead time, just like accessories and options for every unit in the shop.

Q: SingleDISPLAY or TwinDISPLAY?

SingleDISPLAY controls a fixed temperature and is enough for routine work such as drying or incubating at one set point. TwinDISPLAY (the plus models) programmes temperature and air-change ramps and logs the data, which materials testing, stability studies and anything that needs documenting require.

Memmert sorts its range by temperature and atmosphere: whatever is being warmed or dried goes into a universal oven up to 300 degrees, whatever needs to grow at 37 degrees goes into an incubator, and whatever needs cooling goes into a Peltier-cooled or compressor-cooled incubator. Model change at Memmert 2026/2027

Memmert is restructuring its range for 2027: the CO2 incubator ICO arrives as the new ICO NextGen generation, the WTB water baths get new sizes, and the S series hot air sterilisers leave the range entirely. What this means for an order is explained here, as of October 2026.
