Where air-cushion pipettes reach their natural limits, the Transferpettor pipette comes into its own. Whether viscous or thin, foaming or with high vapour pressure, the Transferpettor pipette dispenses such liquids with the utmost precision. The solution for difficult cases! The Transferpettor pipette operates on the principle of direct displacement: Unlike air-cushion pipettes, the piston of the direct displacement pipette is in direct contact with the liquid to be pipetted. The fixed piston always scrapes the walls of the capillaries/tips clean – right down to the very last drop, which leaves the opening clearly visible. As there is no internal air gap between the sample and the piston, volumetric accuracy remains constant regardless of the physical properties of the medium. The mechanical operating principle and automatic sensor technology At the heart of the system lies the perfectly coordinated interaction between the handheld dispenser and the Eppendorf Combitips advanced. Thanks to integrated mechanical sensors, the Multipette M4 automatically detects the tip size as soon as it is locked into place. The integrated microprocessor then immediately calculates the exact dispensing volume and displays it on the high-contrast LCD screen. It is the ideal choice for applications where the venting volume is not critical or is routinely discarded. S-Class: Safe, Fast, Simple The ‘S’ generation has been optimised to make everyday laboratory work easier: Analogue adjustment: The volume is set using a mechanical slider on the scale. An internal rack and pinion mechanism locks the setting securely in place – nothing shifts, even when subjected to vibrations. Minimal operating force required: Aspiration and discharge are noticeably easier than with previous models. This reduces physical strain, particularly during long dispensing runs.
