The Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 514 H is a high-performance ultrasonic cleaner with heating for professional use in laboratories, medical practices and workshops. With a capacity of 13.5 litres (working capacity 9.0 litres) and an ultrasonic frequency of 35 kHz, this ultrasonic bath ensures thorough, gentle cleaning of instruments, laboratory glassware and small parts. The integrated heater warms the cleaning bath to up to 80 degrees Celsius, thereby helping to dissolve stubborn dirt, whilst the lowest setting of 30 degrees Celsius allows for gentle cleaning of temperature-sensitive materials. As a Class I medical device, the unit is also suitable for the reprocessing of instruments in doctors’ surgeries and similar facilities.

Typical applications in everyday laboratory work include the cleaning of metal and glass instruments, the degassing of solvents prior to analytical procedures, and the reprocessing of laboratory glassware and small parts, which are freed from contamination even in hard-to-reach areas thanks to ultrasonic cavitation. The ultrasonic peak power of 860 W (rated power 215 W), combined with the 600 W heater, ensures consistent, reproducible cleaning results even with daily use. The cleaning duration and bath temperature can be continuously adjusted using the rotary knob; the timer covers a range from 1 to 15 minutes and can also be set to continuous operation when longer cleaning cycles are required. This allows the unit to be flexibly adapted to different cleaning tasks, from short cycles for delicate small parts to longer cycles for heavily soiled laboratory glassware.

Robust construction for continuous use

The tank and housing of the SONOREX SUPER RK 514 H are made of 1.4301 stainless steel; the ultrasonic tank itself has a wall thickness of 1.0 mm, which gives the unit the necessary robustness for daily use in a laboratory setting. A fill-level mark inside the tank makes it easy to fill it correctly with cleaning fluid. For easy and clean emptying, the unit features a G 3/4 ball valve with a 50 cm long hose on the left-hand side, allowing the used bath to be drained directly into a collection vessel. Handles on the sides ensure safe transport, whilst the 2 m long mains cable, which is permanently attached to the unit, allows connection to a standard 230 V domestic socket. With an IP 32 protection rating, the housing is protected against splashing water from various directions, which further simplifies handling in everyday laboratory use. Weighing 10.8 kg and with compact external dimensions of 355 x 325 x 305 mm, the ultrasonic bath can also be flexibly positioned at a fixed workstation in the laboratory or workshop.
