Meditrade Nitril Black Examination Gloves, black (100 pcs.), M, 1284M
Black nitrile gloves have now become almost standard in the tattoo and beauty industries, as the dark colour gives a professional appearance and any ink or pigment residue is not immediately noticeable. Meditrade Nitril Black examination gloves are powder-free, latex-free, disposable nitrile gloves with a micro-textured, elastic and tear-resistant surface, available in sizes S, M, L and XL, each in packs of 100. Latex-free for sensitive skin The gloves are completely latex-free and are therefore a suitable choice for staff with a diagnosed type 1 latex allergy, regardless of the area of application. The force at break is 6 N, tested to an AQL value of 1.5, the standard sampling inspection level for the leak-tightness of disposable gloves. Thickness varies by zone The Nitril Black gloves feature varying thicknesses across different zones: the thickness on the palm is 0.07 mm (± 0.02 mm), on the fingertips 0.10 mm (± 0.02 mm) for added grip on the fingertips, and 0.05 mm (± 0.02 mm) at the cuff for easier donning. This variation in thickness is common in nitrile gloves, as the fingertips are subject to the highest mechanical stress, whilst the wrist primarily requires elasticity. Nitrile as the material of choice Nitrile is a synthetic rubber which, unlike natural latex, does not contain the allergy-triggering latex proteins, whilst offering greater puncture and chemical resistance than latex. For businesses that avoid natural latex entirely for hygiene or compliance reasons, nitrile is therefore the obvious alternative to traditional latex gloves. Furthermore, nitrile retains its shape well even after prolonged wear, which noticeably enhances comfort throughout the entire shift in professions where gloves are changed frequently throughout the day. Tested according to EN 455 and EN 374 Nitril Black complies with EN 455 (Parts 1 to 4) for medical disposable gloves, as well as the test standards of the EN 374 series (Parts 1, 2, 4 and 5) for protective gloves against microorganisms and chemicals. In addition, the data sheet lists EN 16523-1 for determining resistance to chemical permeation. The manufacturer also classifies them as food-safe, which is relevant, for example, for inspection tasks in food processing or the catering industry. EN 16523-1 specifies how long it takes and to what extent a chemical penetrates the glove material, providing an additional indicator alongside the pure microorganism barrier as defined by EN 374. Selection guide: choosing the right size The size range starts at S and goes through M and L to XL; an XS size is not available for this model. We can provide width and length measurements on request; when selecting a size, we also recommend comparing it with the size of a disposable glove you already own that fits well. For those looking for a light-coloured glove for food processing rather than the dark contrasting colour, the Meditrade Nitril 3000 in white offers an alternative with identical wall thickness and additionally documented carton and pallet dimensions. For businesses using colour-coding by station or shift, the Meditrade Nitril Viola in purple is also available. Anyone requiring a variant tested against blood-borne pathogens with a wider size range up to XXL will find this in the Meditrade Nitril NextGen. Use and disposal We can provide details of storage conditions and shelf life on request. According to the manufacturer, the glove is non-sterile and intended for single use; it can be worn on either hand. After use, disposable gloves are usually disposed of as commercial waste; contaminated gloves are disposed of separately in accordance with internal hazardous substances regulations. Typical applications The black colour of these nitrile gloves makes them suitable for a variety of sectors and applications: Tattoo and beauty salons, where black is an established, professional-looking colour Catering and event venues, to ensure a uniform, smart appearance for staff Laboratory and examination work, where light-coloured powders, tablets or crystals are more visible on dark gloves than on light-coloured ones General examination and routine tasks where a latex-free, food-safe disposable glove is required For example, when portioning powders or granules in the laboratory, it is immediately apparent whether any residue has become trapped on the dark glove, a contrast that a natural-coloured glove does not provide. Assessing your needs correctly: the pack of 100 for everyday use Nitril Black is sold in packs of 100 per size. A simple rough calculation can help with demand planning: at a rate of 10 gloves per workstation per day, one pack covers around two working weeks; at 30 gloves per day, it lasts for three to four working days. For businesses with higher consumption of several sizes simultaneously, it is advisable to stock several packs of the relevant sizes straight away, so that no workstation runs out of a particular size. The AQL value of 1.5 indicates the maximum number of defective gloves per batch that are tolerated within the framework of statistical sampling; a lower value indicates a stricter inspection. If you stock several sizes at the same time, you can distinguish between the packs of 100 at a glance using the manufacturer’s item number, without having to open the individual packs first. Meditrade Nitril NextGen Examination Gloves, blue, 100 pcs., size L, 1283L
Some applications require more than the basic protection typically offered by nitrile gloves, for example where, in addition to protection against contamination, the penetration of blood-borne pathogens must also be reliably prevented. Meditrade Nitril NextGen examination gloves are the most extensively tested nitrile variant in the Meditrade range available from us and, with six sizes from XS to XXL, also cover the widest size range in the nitrile family. Powder-free, latex-free and available in blue, each pack containing 100 gloves. Latex-free and tested against blood-borne pathogens According to the manufacturer, the NextGen is produced without natural rubber latex and is therefore suitable for organisations that consistently rely on latex-free personal protective equipment. In addition to the series of standards EN 455 and EN 374 that is usual for nitrile gloves, it is also tested according to ASTM F 1671 for the penetration of blood-borne pathogens, supplemented by EN 16523 for chemical permeation and DIN EN 374-5 for protection against microorganisms. This additional testing distinguishes the NextGen from the simpler nitrile variants in the range. Thickness at the cuff, palm and fingertips According to the data sheet, the thickness at the palm is 0.07 mm (± 0.02 mm), at the fingertips 0.10 mm (± 0.02 mm) and on the shaft also 0.07 mm (± 0.02 mm), ensuring that the cuff area remains mechanically robust, rather than being thinner as is the case with some other nitrile gloves. The median force at break is at least 6.0 N both before and after artificial ageing, tested with an AQL value of 1.5. ASTM F 1671: what the additional test entails ASTM F 1671 tests whether a glove material can withstand the penetration of a bacteriophage, used as a model organism for blood-borne pathogens, under defined pressure. For workplaces with an increased risk of exposure, such as in emergency care or during invasive procedures, such an additional test is an indication of a higher level of protection than that offered by a nitrile glove which has only been tested to the basic standards EN 455 and EN 374. Combined with the permeation test in accordance with EN 16523, NextGen thus covers both the microbiological and chemical aspects of the barrier performance. Six sizes from XS to XXL With its XXL size, the NextGen is the only product in the Meditrade nitrile range listed here that also accommodates particularly large hands. The width ranges from 75 mm (± 5 mm) for XS, through 95 mm (± 10 mm) for M, to at least 115 mm for XXL; the length is at least 240 mm for all sizes. SizeManufacturer’s item no.WidthLength XS1283XS75 mm (± 5 mm)min. 240 mm S1283S80 mm (± 10 mm)min. 240 mm M1283M95 mm (± 10 mm)min. 240 mm L1283L110 mm (± 10 mm)min. 240 mm XL1283XL≥ 110 mmmin. 240 mm XXL1283XXL≥ 115 mmmin. 240 mm Distinction within the nitrile range We offer the NextGen alongside several nitrile gloves in different colours from the same Meditrade range. Whilst the Meditrade Nitril 3000 in white, the Meditrade Nitril Black in black and the Meditrade Nitril Viola in purple all share the same basic formulation with a thickness of 0.07/0.10/0.05 mm, the NextGen is the only variant to have undergone additional ASTM F 1671 testing against blood-borne pathogens and the only nitrile glove in the range available in size XXL. Those who also require a longer cuff for forearm protection will find this in the Meditrade Nitril X-Long, with a cuff length of 290 mm. Use, storage, shelf life and disposal According to the data sheet, the shelf life is 3 or 5 years, provided the gloves are stored in a cool, dry place and protected from direct sunlight. The gloves are non-sterile, ambidextrous and intended for single use only. According to the data sheet, they contain dithiocarbamates and should not be used by anyone with a known hypersensitivity to these substances. After use, the gloves are disposed of as commercial waste or via the internal hazardous waste disposal system, depending on the degree of contamination. Typical areas of application The additional testing for blood-borne pathogens and the wide range of sizes make the NextGen an obvious choice for: Examination and care activities with increased requirements for barrier protection against pathogens Organisations that operate strictly latex-free whilst needing to cater for large hand sizes up to XXL Laboratory work involving contact with chemicals for which EN 16523 is documented as the permeation test Food processing, for which the glove is suitable according to the data sheet Teams with widely varying hand sizes who wish to maintain a single order list for all staff For example, in an outpatient clinic or laboratory with a changing workforce, the same type of glove can be stocked for almost every hand size without having to switch to a different product range for particularly large hands. Assessing requirements correctly: from the pack to the carton NextGen is sold in packs of 100 per size. According to the manufacturer, one carton holds 10 packs, i.e. 1,000 gloves, with a pallet containing 72 cartons (carton dimensions 295 x 260 x 250 mm). A simple rough calculation helps with demand planning: at a consumption rate of 10 gloves per workstation per day, one pack covers around two working weeks; at 30 gloves per day, it lasts for three to four working days. Where there are several workstations with different hand sizes, including XXL, it is advisable to stock each size separately, as experience shows that demand for XXL is lower, but if stock runs out, it is more difficult to reorder at short notice than the more common medium sizes. Setting a fixed minimum stock level for each size in your own stock management system helps to ensure that even sizes ordered less frequently, such as XS or XXL, are reordered in good time. Frequently asked questions about Nitril NextGen What distinguishes NextGen from other nitrile gloves in the range? It is additionally tested in accordance with ASTM F 1671 for resistance to the penetration of blood-borne pathogens and is the only variant also available in size XXL. Is the NextGen latex-free?Yes, according to the manufacturer, it is produced without natural rubber latex. How thick is the glove? The thickness is 0.07 mm on the palm and shaft, and 0.10 mm at the fingertips, with a tolerance of ± 0.02 mm in each case. Is the glove sterile? No, according to the data sheet, the NextGen is a non-sterile, single-use glove. What sizes are available?XS, S, M, L, XL and XXL, each with its own width specification as per the data sheet. Can I order individual gloves instead of the whole pack? No, the smallest order unit is a pack of 100 gloves per size. What does the additional ASTM F 1671 test mean in practice? It demonstrates that, in laboratory tests, the glove material withstands the penetration of a model organism for blood-borne pathogens under pressure, in addition to the basic standards EN 455 and EN 374. Meditrade Gentle Skin Grip, latex examination gloves, powder-free, 100 pieces - M, 1221GRIP-M
Wet instruments, oily tools or slippery packaging put many disposable gloves to the test: as soon as the surface becomes damp or greasy, the grip decreases noticeably. According to the manufacturer, Meditrade Gentle Skin Grip latex examination gloves are the grippiest latex gloves in the Meditrade range. An acrylic polymer coating on a textured surface provides extra grip where smooth gloves reach their limits. Available in sizes XS to XL, each in packs of 100. Acrylic polymer coating for extra grip In addition to the ingredients typically found in latex gloves, natural rubber latex, sulphur, zinc oxide, zinc diethyldithiocarbamate, zinc dibutyl dithiocarbamate, titanium dioxide and antioxidants, the Grip range also features an acrylic polymer coating on the textured surface. This coating is the key difference compared to traditional latex gloves without any special grip optimisation and, according to the manufacturer, improves grip, particularly when handling damp, oily or powdery surfaces. The glove is free from mercaptobenzothiazole and thiurams. Thickness from the cuff to the fingertips According to the manufacturer’s data sheet, the thickness at the cuff is at least 0.08 mm, at the palm at least 0.11 mm and at the fingertips at least 0.12 mm, ensuring that the greatest material thickness is available at the point subject to the most stress. The breaking force is at least 6 N both before and after artificial ageing, tested with an AQL value of 1.5 for the absence of holes in the batch. The rolled cuff also makes it easier to put on and take off the gloves, even when the hands themselves are already damp. Class I medical device and PPE Category III The glove complies with EN 455 (Parts 1 to 4) for single-use medical gloves, as well as EN 374-1, -2, -4 and -5 for protection against microorganisms, supplemented by EN 16523-1 for chemical permeation and EN 420:2003+A1:2009 as the general standard for protective gloves. It is classified as a Class I medical device in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and as Category III personal protective equipment under Regulation (EU) 2016/425, and is manufactured under a quality management system certified according to EN ISO 13485:2016. Why smooth gloves reach their limits in wet conditions A purely textured glove without an additional coating loses some of its grip when it comes into contact with water, oil or cleaning agents, because a thin film of liquid forms between the glove and the workpiece. This is precisely where the acrylic polymer coating of the Gentle Skin Grip comes into its own: according to the manufacturer, it increases friction even in damp conditions without compromising the elasticity of the natural latex. For standard dry tasks without any particular risk of slipping, however, a simpler latex glove from our range is often sufficient. Selection guide: choosing the right size As with the other Gentle Skin gloves, the size range from XS to XL is based on the width of the hand, measured at the widest point excluding the thumb. SizeManufacturer’s item no.WidthLength XS1221GRIP-XS< 80 mmmin. 240 mm S1221GRIP-S80 mm (± 10 mm)min. 240 mm M1221GRIP-M95 mm (± 10 mm)min. 240 mm L1221GRIP-L110 mm (± 10 mm)min. 240 mm XL1221GRIP-XL> 110 mmmin. 240 mm Distinction within the Gentle-Skin latex range Within the Meditrade latex range available from us, the Grip differs from the other two variants primarily due to its coating. Those who, on the other hand, require a particularly fine sense of touch for pipetting and laboratory work are better served by the low-protein Meditrade Gentle Skin Sensitive, which has a slightly thinner wall thickness of 0.13 mm at the fingertip. For general routine use without any specific grip or protein requirements, the Meditrade Gentle Skin compact+ is available, with a comparable basic wall thickness. All three are tested according to EN 455 and EN 374 and are classified as a Class I medical device and PPE Category III. Those wishing to avoid natural latex entirely will find latex-free alternatives in our range of nitrile gloves, although these do not feature the grip coating described here. Use, storage, shelf life and disposal According to the data sheet, the shelf life is 3 or 5 years, provided the gloves are stored in a cool, dry place and protected from direct sunlight. The gloves are non-sterile, ambidextrous and intended for single use only. As the gloves are made from natural rubber latex, the manufacturer expressly warns of the risk of allergic or even anaphylactic reactions. After use, the gloves are disposed of as commercial waste or via the internal hazardous waste disposal system, depending on the level of contamination. Typical applications The grippy coating makes the Gentle Skin Grip of interest wherever moisture or grease would otherwise make a firm grip difficult: Cleaning and processing of laboratory glassware and instruments, often in contact with water or cleaning agents Handling oily or greasy components in workshops and industry Packaging and order-picking tasks involving frequent changes of material Examination and care tasks where a secure grip on damp surfaces is required For example, when rinsing and sorting laboratory glassware under running water, the grip is maintained, whereas an uncoated glove would slip more easily in the same situation. The difference compared to a smooth glove surface is also clearly evident when handling greasy seals or lubricants in the workshop. Assessing your requirements correctly: from the pack to the carton Gentle Skin Grip is sold in packs of 100 per size; according to the manufacturer’s data sheet, a carton contains 10 packs, i.e. 1,000 gloves. A simple rough calculation can help with demand planning: at a rate of 10 gloves per workstation per day, one pack covers around two working weeks; at 30 gloves per day, it lasts for three to four working days. Businesses with multiple workstations or frequent glove usage should ideally stock several packs of the appropriate size to ensure that no workstation runs out of a particular size. Meditrade Gentle Skin Sensitive Latex Gloves, natural colour, powder-free, 100 pieces, size M, 1221RMT
Anyone who spends many hours in a laboratory or in a care setting pipetting, decanting samples or handling delicate instruments will quickly realise whether a glove is helpful or more of a hindrance. Meditrade Gentle Skin Sensitive latex gloves are low-protein natural latex gloves designed specifically for this kind of fine motor work: powder-free, thin-walled and with a stretch that moulds closely to the hand without causing fatigue even when worn for hours on end. Available in sizes XS to XL, each pack containing 100 gloves. Low-protein thanks to a multi-stage processing method Natural latex naturally contains water-soluble proteins which can trigger skin reactions in sensitised individuals. The Sensitive range is therefore processed using a multi-stage washing process and additionally undergoes double chlorination, which reduces the protein content whilst also allowing the gloves to be put on easily without powder. This does not make the glove completely latex-free; it remains a natural rubber product containing natural rubber latex, sulphur, dithiocarbamate, zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, potassium hydroxide, calcium carbonate, polyacrylate and colour pigments. If you have a known Type 1 latex allergy, a nitrile glove from our range is therefore the safer choice. Gradual thickness variation from the palm to the fingertips According to the manufacturer’s data sheet, the thickness at the palm is at least 0.11 mm, and at the fingertips 0.13 mm (± 0.02 mm), slightly thicker to provide additional tactile sensitivity and mechanical strength precisely where the greatest stress occurs during gripping and pipetting. The force at break is at least 6 N both before and after artificial ageing, tested with an AQL value of 1.5 for the absence of holes in the batch. The textured, micro-roughened surface with a rolled cuff also ensures a secure grip, whether used dry or in contact with aqueous solutions. Class I medical device and PPE Category III The glove complies with EN 455 (Parts 1 to 4) for single-use medical gloves, as well as EN ISO 374-1, -2, -4 and -5 for protection against microorganisms, supplemented by EN 16523-1 for chemical permeation and EN ISO 21420:2020 as the basic standard for protective gloves in general. It is classified as a Class I medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and as Category III personal protective equipment under Regulation (EU) 2016/425, and is manufactured under a quality management system certified according to EN ISO 13485:2016. According to the data sheet, it is also suitable for contact with food, which is relevant, for example, for sample preparation in food analysis. Latex or nitrile: when it’s worth switching Natural latex offers high elasticity with low mechanical stress, which means the Gentle Skin Sensitive fits snugly to the hand and provides a particularly fine sense of touch. However, natural latex is less suitable for tasks involving non-polar solvents such as oils or fats, as the material can swell. In such cases, or where there is a known latex allergy, a nitrile glove from our range is the more appropriate choice, offering a comparable fit but greater chemical resistance. Selection guide: choosing the right size The size range extends from XS to XL and is based on the width of the hand, measured at the widest point excluding the thumb. A glove that is too tight causes the hand to tire more quickly when worn for long periods, whilst a glove that is too loose reduces both tactile sensitivity and a secure grip. SizeManufacturer’s item no.WidthLength XS1221RXST< 80 mmmin. 240 mm S1221RST80 mm (± 10 mm)min. 240 mm M1221RMT95 mm (± 10 mm)min. 240 mm L1221RLT110 mm (± 10 mm)min. 240 mm XL1221RXLT> 110 mmmin. 240 mm Differentiation within the Gentle Skin latex range In our range, the Gentle Skin Sensitive is available alongside two other latex gloves from the same Meditrade range. Anyone who, in addition to a fine sense of touch, requires greater grip on damp or oily surfaces will find this in the textured Meditrade Gentle Skin Grip with its acrylic polymer coating. For day-to-day routine use without the protein-reduced processing of the Sensitive range, the Meditrade Gentle Skin compact+, with a comparable wall thickness, is an obvious alternative from the same product family. All three share the same basic construction made from natural latex with a rolled cuff and testing according to EN 455 and EN ISO 374-1, but differ in wall thickness, surface treatment and protein content. Those who wish to avoid natural latex altogether will find a latex-free alternative in our range of nitrile gloves. Use, storage, shelf life and disposal According to the manufacturer, the gloves are suitable for all areas where there is a risk of contamination, ranging from highly infectious situations in hospitals and doctors’ surgeries, through the care sector and laboratories, to the pharmaceutical industry, cleaning and industrial applications. According to the data sheet, the shelf life is 3 or 5 years, provided they are stored in a cool, dry place and protected from direct sunlight. The gloves are non-sterile and intended for single use only; used gloves are disposed of as commercial waste or via the internal hazardous waste disposal system, depending on the level of contamination. It is recommended that the gloves be changed at the latest upon the first visible sign of damage or soiling, even if the specified shelf life of 3 or 5 years has not yet been reached. Typical applications The low-protein formulation makes the Gentle Skin Sensitive particularly interesting where tactile sensitivity and skin compatibility have to come together: Sample preparation and pipetting tasks in the laboratory where dexterity is required Care and examination tasks involving frequent glove changes throughout a shift Food analysis and quality control, where the glove is suitable for food contact according to the data sheet Cleaning and routine tasks in the pharmaceutical industry and industrial settings For example, when pipetting a series of samples over several hours, the thin-walled material on the palm and fingertips can be utilised without the hand tiring prematurely, an advantage over thicker standard gloves. Assessing requirements correctly: from the pack to the carton Gentle Skin Sensitive is sold in packs of 100 per size. According to the manufacturer’s specifications, one carton contains 10 packs, i.e. 1,000 gloves, with a pallet comprising 56 cartons. A simple rough calculation can help with demand planning: at a rate of 10 gloves per workstation per day, a pack of 100 will last for around two working weeks; at 30 gloves per day, it will last for three to four working days. For businesses with multiple workstations or varying sizes, it is advisable to stock several packs of the appropriate size straight away, to ensure that no workstation runs out of a particular size. Frequently asked questions about Gentle Skin Sensitive Is the Gentle Skin Sensitive suitable for people with a latex allergy? No. The glove is low in protein but is still made from natural rubber latex. For those with a known Type 1 latex allergy, we recommend a nitrile glove from our range. Are the gloves sterile? No; according to the data sheet, they are non-sterile, single-use gloves. How thick is the glove on the palm and fingertips? The thickness is at least 0.11 mm on the palm and 0.13 mm (± 0.02 mm) on the fingertips. Is the glove suitable for contact with food?Yes, according to the data sheet, it is suitable for contact with food. DURAN® Laboratory flask, clear, graduated, GL 45, without screw cap and pouring ring, 3,500 ml, #218016908
From freshly prepared buffer solutions and sterilised culture media to safely stored chemicals, the laboratory bottle is a frequently used container in the laboratory. The Duran Original laboratory bottle was introduced in 1972. It is manufactured from high-purity, clear borosilicate glass 3.3, a Type I neutral glass according to USP <660>, EP (3.2.1) and JP <7.01>, which is renowned for its high thermal stress resistance and excellent chemical resistance. Combined with its robust design, this results in a long service life. Typical applications Storage and handling of solutions, buffers, media and reagentsPreparation, mixing and transport of liquidsAutoclaving and sterilising media (version with cap)Stocking supplies in the fridge or storeroomSampling and sample transportUse in microbiology, cell culture, chemistry and quality assurance Material and resistance Borosilicate glass 3.3 is largely inert to water, acids, alkalis, saline solutions and organic substances, and exhibits low thermal expansion. This makes the bottle suitable for everyday use in laboratories and production, from the storage and preservation of media to their preparation, transport and sterilisation. Cap and drip-free pouring The standardised GL thread and the matching closure system ensure a particularly tight seal and clean, drip-free pouring. The screw-cap version is supplied with the familiar blue polypropylene cap and a drip-free pouring ring, which are suitable for use up to 140 °C. All components are fully autoclavable at 121 °C or 134 °C. Markings and labelling An easy-to-read, baked-on white scale allows the fill volume to be estimated, whilst a permanent labelling field enables the contents to be labelled. The baked-on, permanent print is particularly abrasion-resistant. The production batch can be traced via the permanent Retrace code on each bottle; the corresponding certificate is available for download at cert.dwk.com. Standards and compliance The bottles comply with the requirements of ISO 4796-1:2016 (Laboratory glassware, Bottles, Part 1: Narrow-neck bottles; does not apply to the 10-ml bottle). Meditrade Gentle Skin compact+ latex gloves, powder-free, 100 pcs., XS, 1221XSI
Where natural rubber latex is not an issue, its elasticity and comfort make it the first choice amongst disposable gloves for many users. Meditrade Gentle Skin compact+ latex gloves are powder-free, natural white, online-chlorinated for easy donning and doffing, and available in packs of 100 in sizes XS to XL. Natural rubber latex for high elasticity The glove is made from natural rubber latex with a textured surface and a rolled cuff. The online chlorination process reduces the material’s natural stickiness, making the glove easier to put on and take off than an untreated latex variant, even with slightly damp hands. The high inherent elasticity of natural rubber ensures a snug, second-skin fit, which many users prefer to nitrile for tasks requiring fine motor skills, as the glove adapts more directly to the shape of the hand. Thickness for delicate tasks According to the data sheet, the median thickness at the palm and fingertips is at least 0.11 mm in each case, with a median length of at least 240 mm. The width varies according to size: under 80 mm for XS, 80 mm (± 10 mm) for S, 95 mm (± 10 mm) for M, 110 mm (± 10 mm) for L and over 110 mm for XL. The force at break is at least 6 N (median), both before and after artificial ageing, tested with an AQL value of 1.5. Class I medical device and Category III PPE The Gentle Skin compact+ is classified as a Class I medical device in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and as Category III personal protective equipment in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/425. It complies with EN 455 (Parts 1 to 4), EN ISO 374-1/-2/-4/-5 and EN ISO 21420:2020, and is manufactured under a quality management system certified according to EN ISO 13485:2016. Important note for those with a latex allergy As a natural rubber product, the glove contains dithiocarbamates (ZDC, ZDBC) according to the data sheet, for which there is a warning regarding possible allergic reactions. However, it is free from mercaptobenzothiazole and thiurams, two other common contact allergens used in rubber processing. Organisations with staff or customers known to have a latex allergy should switch to a nitrile-based alternative. Compact pack of 100 as a sales unit Unlike some nitrile variants in the range, which are sold in large cartons containing several thousand pieces, Gentle Skin compact+ is deliberately available in a handy pack of 100. This is suitable for businesses that regularly reorder smaller quantities without having to stock a whole carton of 1,000 pieces, such as smaller medical practices or departments with lower throughput. Typical applications As a powder-free, highly elastic latex examination glove, the Gentle Skin compact+ is suitable for, amongst other things: Examination and care activities requiring a high degree of tactile sensitivity and dexterity Medical practices and clinics where there are no known cases of latex allergy amongst staff or patients Routine laboratory work where the high elasticity of natural rubber latex is preferred over nitrile Short-term tasks involving frequent glove changes, thanks to the compact pack of 100 For example, during examinations requiring fine motor skills, such as palpating small structures, the snug fit of natural rubber latex can be put to targeted use, whilst the compact pack size ensures that a fresh pack is always to hand, even for less frequent tasks, rather than having to keep a large carton in stock. In training situations too, where groups of trainees rotate, the 100-pack makes it easier to track consumption per group than with a large carton. Packaging: from individual pack to carton Gentle Skin compact+ is sold in packs of 100 pieces per size. According to the manufacturer, one carton holds 10 packs (1,000 pieces), with a pallet containing 54 cartons. The individual pack measures 120 x 215 x 70 mm, whilst the carton measures 245 x 360 x 225 mm, dimensions that aid storage planning in first-aid cupboards or stock rooms. Anyone looking for a powder-free latex alternative with a different grip surface will find it in the Gentle Skin Grip from the same product range. The entire latex range can be found under ‘Latex gloves’. WTW SenTix 41 pH Electrode with Temperature Sensor, Gel Electrolyte, DIN Connector, 103635
Measuring pH in wastewater, aquariums or swimming pools should not depend on a refilling routine. The WTW SenTix 41 features a plastic shaft and a gel electrolyte which, according to WTW, is not refilled. The electrode is low-maintenance. The pH measuring range extends from 0 to 14, and it can be used at sample temperatures of 0 to 80 °C.Gel electrolyte and fibre junctionThe shaft is made of PPE/PS, is 120 mm long and has a diameter of 12 mm. The membrane is cylindrical; its resistance at 25 °C is less than 1 GΩ. According to WTW, the fibre junction prevents blockages. There is no need to monitor or top up the electrolyte level. If the electrolyte is meant to be refillable, the SenTix 51 and 52 with liquid electrolyte and a ceramic junction in a plastic shaft are the alternative.Connection and temperature measurementThe SenTix 41 has a permanently attached 1 m cable with a waterproof DIN plug (DIN 19262). An NTC temperature sensor (30 kΩ) is built in and measures the sample temperature; it is connected to the 4 mm banana plug. The gel electrodes in this range differ in plug, cable length and temperature sensor. You should therefore establish which input the measuring instrument has before placing your order.Typical applications according to WTWWhen taking samples from water bodies, at the edge of a pool or from a wastewater pipe, what counts is an electrode that is quickly ready for use. WTW names the following media for this series:Electroplating effluent, industrial wastewater and wastewater in generalAquarium and swimming pool waterGroundwater, lake water, surface water and seawaterHousehold cleanersStorage and careBefore the first measurement, remove the wetting cap; gas bubbles behind the membrane can be removed by shaking. For short measurement breaks, immerse the electrode in reference electrolyte (3 mol/l KCl, Ag+-free). Overnight and for longer periods, it stays in the wetting cap, filled with the same electrolyte. According to WTW, storing the electrode dry or in deionised water can cause permanent damage. If the cap has dried out, the electrode needs at least 24 hours in reference electrolyte. As with any pH electrode, strong acids and alkalis, hydrofluoric acid, organic solvents, oils, fats and proteins shorten its service life.Technical detailsTypepH electrode, analogue, gel electrolyteShaft materialPlastic (PPE/PS)Shaft length / Shaft diameter120 mm / 12 mmElectrolyteGel, non-refillableReference systemSilver/silver chlorideJunctionFibreMembrane shapeCylindricalpH measuring range0 to 14Temperature range0 to 80 °CMembrane resistance< 1 GΩ at 25 °CTemperature sensorNTC 30 kΩConnectionDIN plug (DIN 19262), waterproof, and 4 mm banana plugCable1 m fixed cableScope of delivery1 WTW SenTix 41 pH electrode with wetting cap1 m fixed cable with DIN and banana plugs, permanently attached to the electrodeAccessories and procurement serviceReference electrolyte KCl 3 mol/l for the wetting cap and buffer solutions for calibration are also available. Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 31 Ultrasonic Bath, 0.9 L, 35 kHz, 329
Sensor tips, small cannulas, jewellery or individual cuvettes do not require a large bath for ultrasonic cleaning; rather, they need a bath that delivers uniform cavitation to every corner of the tank. With a total capacity of 0.9 l, the Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 31 is the smallest model in the SUPER RK series and is designed specifically for these small-item cleaning tasks in laboratories, medical practices and workshops.Small tank, noticeable cavitationAt an operating frequency of 35 kHz, the RK 31 generates a peak ultrasonic power of 160 watts at a nominal ultrasonic power of 40 watts, distributed across a single vibration system. This is sufficient for the small tank volume of 0.9 l (working capacity 0.6 l); larger SUPER RK models, such as the RK 514 BH, on the other hand, operate with four vibration systems covering a significantly larger area. The automatic SweepTec function continuously adjusts the frequency slightly, thereby preventing standing waves in the ultrasonic field; as a result, the cleaning effect remains uniform even in small volumes.Thin stainless steel tank for the laboratory benchThe oscillating tank is made of 1.4301 stainless steel with a thickness of 0.8 millimetres; the housing is made from the same material. The internal dimensions of 190 x 85 x 60 mm and the compact external dimensions of 205 x 100 x 180 mm ensure that the unit, with a net weight of 2.2 kg, can still be accommodated even on already occupied work surfaces. The RK 31 is operated via a robust rotary handle; the timer ranges from 1 to 15 minutes (tolerance ± 5 %), and continuous operation is also available. No drain, no heating, but simpleThe data sheet explicitly states that this model has no drain; a ball valve is not provided for this size. With a capacity of 0.9 l, the tank can be emptied directly over the edge after the cleaning cycle; an additional connection would be rather cumbersome in this case. Similarly, the RK 31 does not feature a heating element. Anyone requiring heating for cleaning in the same size should choose the RK 31 H with a fixed 65 °C; the next larger model with adjustable heating is the RK 100 H.Selection guide for the SUPER RK seriesThe SUPER RK series from Bandelin covers a wide range: from the RK 31 with a 0.9-litre capacity to the RK 1050 with a total capacity of 58 l. If you are only cleaning individual small parts, sensor tips or cuvettes, you are properly equipped with the RK 31. If the batch size increases to include several instruments or small glass vessels, it is worth considering the RK 100 H (3.0 l, heated) or the RK 103 H (4.0 l, heated and with a drain). For entire sieves or beakers, the larger models from the RK 510 (9.7 l) upwards are the more suitable choice.SUPER RK, DIGITEC DT and smart ST comparedIn addition to the SUPER RK series with classic rotary knob control, Bandelin offers the DIGITEC DT series with push-button control, an LED display and DEGAS degassing, as well as the smart ST series with a touchscreen, finely adjustable power control and programme memory. Those who only clean occasionally and value straightforward, robust operation would be well advised to choose a SUPER RK model such as the RK 31. We also offer Elma Elmasonic ultrasonic baths, an alternative for laboratories already equipped with this brand.Use and maintenanceThe working capacity of 0.6 l is deliberately set below the total capacity of 0.9 l, as space must be left for the items being cleaned when filling the bath; otherwise, the liquid will spill over the rim. As for the cleaning solution itself, Bandelin offers its own TICKOPUR range of concentrates; for the SONOREX PR series of pipette cleaners, this is included in the set, whilst a suitable concentrate for the RK 31 must be purchased separately. Freshly prepared cleaning fluid contains dissolved air, which initially dampens cavitation; a short pre-run in continuous operation before the actual cleaning process dispels it. The stainless steel tank is compatible with most aqueous cleaning agents; however, abrasive sponges or chlorine-based agents should still be avoided. At the end of the working day, it is best to empty and dry the tank.Typical applicationsCleaning of small sensor tips, cannulas and needlesPrecision cleaning of jewellery and small metal partsPre-cleaning of precision mechanical components and watch movementsCleaning individual cuvettes or small sample vessels in the laboratoryFrequently asked questionsIs the SONOREX SUPER RK 31 heated? No, the RK 31 is unheated. The heated version with the same volume is the RK 31 H (fixed at 65 °C); the next larger model with adjustable heating is the RK 100 H.Does the unit have a drain? No, the technical data sheet does not specify a ball valve for the RK 31; with a capacity of 0.9 l, the bath is emptied directly. Is the RK 31 a medical device?Yes, it is classified as a Class I medical device according to Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and is also CE-compliant with the Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS Directives. Are the basket and lid included in the scope of delivery? No, the K 08 insert basket and the D 08 lid are available separately as accessories.Technical detailsTotal capacity / Working capacity0.9 l / 0.6 lInternal dimensions of tank (L x W x D)190 x 85 x 60 mmExternal dimensions (L x W x H)205 x 100 x 180 mmWeight (net)2.2 kgUltrasonic frequency35 kHzUltrasonic powerPeak ultrasonic power 160 W, nominal ultrasonic power 40 W, 1 vibration systemTimer1 to 15 minutes (± 5 %) or continuous operationOperationRotary knobFunctionsSweepTec, pulse functionTank materialStainless steel 1.4301, thickness 0.8 mmHousing materialStainless steel 1.4301DrainNo drain/ball valveMains connection230 V~ (± 10 %), 50/60 Hz, optionally 115 V~, 2 m fixed mains lead, protection class ICurrent consumption230 V 0.2 A / 115 V 0.4 AProtection ratingIP 32Medical device classClass I (Regulation (EU) 2017/745)ConformityLow Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU, EMC Directive 2014/30/EU, RoHS Directive 2011/65/EUPackaging dimensions320 x 235 x 205 mmScope of delivery1x Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 31 ultrasonic bathFixed mains lead (2 m)Instructions for useThe insert basket and lid are not included in the scope of delivery and are available separately.Individual requirements and procurement serviceFor the K 08 insert basket, the D 08 lid or a larger SUPER RK model, there is an individual procurement requirement. KNF LABOPORT N 96, very compact, chemical-resistant diaphragm vacuum pump with manual speed control, 322806
For those who have limited space on their lab bench but still need a reliable, chemical-resistant vacuum source, the KNF LABOPORT N 96 is a highly compact, oil-free diaphragm vacuum pump. Weighing just 1.3 kg and measuring 75 x 119 x 156 mm, it fits next to almost any workstation and can be precisely adjusted to the specific application via the manual speed control, for example for filtration, liquid aspiration or solid-phase extraction (SPE). Very compact and lightweight Measuring just 75 x 119 x 156 mm (W x H x D) and weighing 1.3 kg, the N 96 is the most compact pump in our LABOPORT range. Its small footprint makes it a practical addition to workstations where there is no room for larger vacuum pumps, such as directly next to a filtration unit or an SPE setup. Chemical-resistant materials, tailored to the design The pump head is made of PPS (polyphenylene sulphide), the diaphragm is PTFE-coated, and the valves are made of FKM. This combination of materials differs from that of the larger LABOPORT-N pumps (which feature a TFM PTFE pump head and FFPM valves), but is designed specifically for the compact design of the N 96 and its intended applications. Manual, stepless speed control The N 96’s flow rate can be continuously adjusted to suit the specific application via the manual speed control. According to the manufacturer, this ensures exceptional ease of use in day-to-day laboratory work and enables precise vacuum control, for example when gently filtering sensitive samples. Up to 2.5 bar operating pressure, not just vacuum In addition to a maximum ultimate vacuum of 130 mbar (abs.), the N 96 also achieves an operating pressure of up to 2.5 bar (rel.). This means it can be used not only for evacuation but also, where required, for pumping under slight overpressure, a difference from the larger LABOPORT-N pumps, which are primarily designed for vacuum operation. Mains-powered via an external plug-in power supply The pump itself operates at 24 V DC and is powered via an external plug-in power supply with a wide-range input (100 to 240 V AC, 50/60 Hz); it does not have a built-in battery. The power consumption is 19 W; the pump’s operating current is 0.9 A, whilst that of the power supply unit is 0.4 A (230 V AC) or 0.7 A (100 V AC). The protection class is IP40. Permissible media and ambient temperatures range from +5 to +40 °C. Maintenance-free and 100 % oil-free According to the manufacturer, the N 96 operates maintenance-free and is 100 % oil-free. There is no need for regular oil changes, and there is no risk of oil mist entering the gases being pumped or the laboratory air, an advantage wherever contamination-free conditions are required, such as during sample preparation for analysis. Gas connection and accessories The gas connection is a 1/8 NPT fitting; the supplied hose connector has an internal diameter of 6 mm and is made of PP. A column mounting bracket is available for wall mounting if required, along with a spare parts kit and a power supply set for replacement purposes. Suitable for confined spaces As the N 96 is powered by an external plug-in power supply, the pump housing itself remains particularly compact, an advantage wherever shelves, fume hoods or workstations are already densely occupied. The column mount also allows for space-saving installation away from the worktop, for example on a stand or a wall within easy reach of the workstation. Typical applications Filtration Liquid aspiration Solid-phase extraction (SPE) For example, the N 96 can be placed right next to an SPE cartridge stand, where it provides the necessary vacuum for sample purification in a space-saving manner, without the need for a separate, bulky pump setup. Need a higher flow rate? The larger LABOPORT series If the flow rate of 7 l/min is insufficient for a larger application, or if there is an additional need to collect liquids and condensate or to recover solvents, we offer the larger LABOPORT series: the pure diaphragm vacuum pump N 820 G / N 840 G (20 and 34 l/min respectively), the SR 820 G / SR 840 G vacuum pump system with two separator bottles, and the SH 820 G / SH 840 G vacuum pump system with a separator and high-performance condenser for solvent recovery. Memmert UN30 universal oven, compact heating and drying oven with natural convection, 32 litres, up to 300 °C
The Memmert UN30 universal oven is the most compact model in the Memmert universal oven range and operates using purely natural convection rather than an active air turbine. With an internal volume of 32 litres, a temperature range of 20 to 300 °C and a unit weight of around 45 kg, it fits on a laboratory bench, where space is usually more limited than in the equipment area of a permanent laboratory. As there is no active air circulation inside the chamber, the UN30 is particularly suitable for applications where vibration-free and low-dust operation are more important than the shortest possible heating time, such as when gently drying light samples or fine powders.Natural convection for vibration-free, low-dust operationUnlike the UF models in the series, the Memmert UN30 universal oven deliberately does not feature an air turbine or a recirculation motor. Heat rises within the chamber purely by convection, without a fan setting air, dust or light sample components in motion. As a result, the operating temperature range starts from at least 5 °C above room temperature up to 300 °C, whilst the forced-air models in the UF series only start from 10 °C above room temperature; however, thanks to forced air circulation, they heat up more quickly and distribute the temperature more actively. For samples that are sensitive to air movement, such as loose powders, fine fibres or specimens that must not be blown away by draughts, the UN30’s natural convection is suitable. A DIN Class A Pt100 temperature sensor with 4-wire measurement ensures the same setting accuracy as in the larger models, despite the simpler airflow principle: 0.1 °C to 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C.ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY: compact operation with a full range of functionsDespite its compact design, the UN30 does not compromise on any of the control functions found in the larger models. The ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY, an adaptive, multifunctional digital PID microprocessor controller with a TFT colour graphic display, regulates temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit, as well as the position of the exhaust air damper, programme duration, time zone and summer/winter time. As no air turbine is fitted, the only parameter omitted is that for the recirculation fan speed. A digital countdown timer with target time can be set from 1 minute to 99 days; the SetpointWait function only starts the process time once the setpoint temperature has been reached. The data logger can be read out and managed via the Ethernet interface; a time-limited trial version of the AtmoCONTROL software is available for download, whilst a USB stick containing the full version is available as an optional accessory.Compact dimensions of the Memmert UN30 universal ovenThe internal dimensions are 400 x 320 x 250 mm, whilst the external dimensions are 585 x 704 x 434 mm. One electropolished stainless steel grid shelf is included as standard; the cabinet can accommodate up to three shelves in total. The maximum load capacity is 60 kg for the entire unit and 20 kg per shelf, which is entirely sufficient for smaller sample batches and individual containers. As with the larger models, the interior consists of easy-to-clean stainless steel, reinforced by deep-drawn ribbing, with protected, integrated 4-sided all-round heating; the housing is made of textured stainless steel with a fully galvanised sheet steel rear panel. The fully insulated stainless steel door locks via a 2-point compression door lock. The UN30 is connected to a 230 V or 115 V supply, in each case at 50/60 Hz, with a power consumption of around 1,600 W.Selection guide: choosing the right size from the UN seriesThe Memmert universal oven series with natural convection covers a range of internal volumes from 32 to 749 litres. The UN30 is the smallest model in the range. When choosing the right size, the key factors, apart from internal volume, are the footprint and the number of shelves required; not every larger model takes up more floor space than the next smaller one.ModelInternal volumeUN3032 l, footprint 585 x 434 mm, max. 3 shelvesUN5553 l, footprint 585 x 514 mm, max. 4 shelvesUN7574 l, footprint 585 x 514 mm, max. 6 shelvesUN110108 l, footprint 745 x 584 mm, max. 5 shelvesUN260256 l, footprint 824 x 684 mm, max. 9 shelvesUN450449 l, footprint 1,224 x 784 mm, max. 8 shelvesUN750749 l, footprint 1,224 x 784 mm, max. 14 shelvesThe UN30 is suitable when space on the laboratory bench is limited and only a few samples are being processed at a time. If the number of samples increases, the Memmert UN55 universal oven is the obvious next size up, offering 53 litres instead of 32 and 4 shelves instead of 3, whilst taking up only slightly more floor space. All seven sizes in the series can be found in our range of climate chambers and incubators.Distinction: TwinDISPLAY and the forced-air versionWithin the UN30 series, the most important purchasing decision is between SingleDISPLAY and TwinDISPLAY. The UN30 described here operates with a single Pt100 sensor and one display; for unattended processes with higher safety requirements, the Memmert UN30plus universal oven offers two redundant Pt100 sensors as well as two TFT displays instead of one. Those who would instead prefer to benefit from the shorter heating-up time offered by active air circulation and do not require vibration-free operation will find the Memmert UF30 universal oven to be the equivalent model featuring forced air circulation rather than natural convection, whilst retaining the same internal volume of 32 litres.Safety according to DIN 12880, even in the smallest modelThe UN30 also features adjustable electronic temperature monitoring plus a mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880, which switches off the heating when the temperature reaches approximately 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature. A self-diagnostic system assists with fault-finding, and three freely selectable temperature values can be calibrated. CE and EAC markings, as well as a UL test mark, are present.Application, installation and disposalThe same installation rules apply to the Memmert UN30 universal oven when placed on a laboratory bench as for the larger models in the series: a minimum clearance of 15 cm from the wall, a minimum clearance of 20 cm from the ceiling, and a minimum clearance of 5 cm on each side from a wall or adjacent unit. It may be installed at altitudes of up to 2,000 m above sea level at ambient temperatures of 5 °C to 40 °C and a maximum relative humidity of 80 %, non-condensing. Electrically, the UN30 is designed for overvoltage category II and pollution degree 2; it must only be transported in an upright position. The interior, made of easy-to-clean stainless steel, can be cleaned using standard laboratory cleaning products. As an electrical appliance, the UN30 is subject to the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act at the end of its service life and must not be disposed of with household waste; see Regulatory information below.Typical applicationsThe compact Memmert UN30 universal oven is suitable wherever space is limited or where vibration-free, low-dust heat treatment is more important than a short heating-up time.Drying small sample quantities and laboratory glassware on the laboratory benchVibration-free drying of dust- or air-sensitive samplesTempering, ageing and baking of small material samplesRoutine tests in quality assurance, schools and trainingA compact addition or secondary unit in laboratories with limited spaceInvestment rationale: keep it compact or opt for greater safety straight awayThe UN30 is supplied with 1 electropolished stainless steel grid shelf; the cabinet is designed to accommodate up to 3 shelves. For day-to-day operation under supervision, the SingleDISPLAY of the UN30 described here is generally sufficient. If a process runs unattended overnight, the redundant sensor system of the Memmert UN30plus universal oven reduces the risk of an undetected sensor failure. For visual inspection without opening the door, a full-view glass door with 4-layer insulation up to 250 °C or 300 °C is available as an option, as are interior lighting and a stacking kit, which allows two UN30 units to be stacked on top of one another to save space. Anyone wishing to use the data logger permanently, rather than just with the time-limited trial version, should add an AtmoCONTROL software licence. For pharmaceutical or standards-compliant applications, we arrange calibration, IQ/OQ and maintenance services, including DAkkS calibration on request.Frequently asked questions before purchaseDoes the UN30 fit on a standard laboratory bench?Yes, with a net weight of around 45 kg and external dimensions of 585 x 704 x 434 mm, the UN30 is designed for use on a laboratory bench, provided that the bench can safely support the load. How many samples can fit into the UN30 at once? One grid shelf is included as standard; up to 3 shelves, each with a maximum load of 20 kg, are possible, giving a total load capacity of up to 60 kg.Is natural convection sufficient for uniform drying? For most routine applications, yes. Kern OZL-46 stereo zoom microscopes, zoom 0.7x to 4.5x, LED incident and transmitted light, binocular and trinocular
The Kern OZL-46 series comprises six stereo zoom microscopes with LED incident light and LED transmitted light for assembly and repair workstations, training workshops and testing centres. The zoom range is continuously adjustable from 0.7x to 4.5x; when used with the HWF 10x eyepieces, this provides a total magnification of 7x to 45x. Three models are binocular (OZL 463, OZL 465, OZL 467), and three are trinocular with a third port for a camera (OZL 464, OZL 466, OZL 468). All models have a built-in power supply.Which modelThe binocular models OZL 463, OZL 465 and OZL 467 do not have a camera output. The OZL 463 and OZL 465 are mounted on a column stand; according to the data sheet, they differ in net weight (4.2 kg versus 4.6 kg). According to the data sheet, the OZL 467 has a mechanical stand. Of the trinocular models, the OZL 464 and OZL 466 have a beam splitter ratio of 50:50, meaning that the eyepieces and camera can be used simultaneously. Both are mounted on a column stand and feature a click-stop on the zoom wheel. For the OZL 468, the beam splitter ratio is 0:100 according to the data sheet, and the stand is mechanical, as stated in the data sheet. If you need to document and observe live through the eyepiece at the same time, choose the OZL 464 or the OZL 466. Those who work exclusively at the eyepiece will find the OZL 463, the OZL 465 or the OZL 467 sufficient.Zoom, field of view and click-stopAccording to the data sheet, the zoom wheel on the OZL 464 and OZL 466 has an integrated click-stop. It clicks into defined magnification steps so that a setting, once selected, can be found again reproducibly. The data sheet does not specify a click-stop for the other models. The zoom ratio is 6.4:1. The field of view measures 4.4 to 28.6 mm, the working distance is 105 mm, and the maximum specimen height is 140 mm. The Greenough system provides a stereoscopic image. The tube is inclined at 45° and rotates through 360°; the interpupillary distance ranges from 55 to 75 mm, and the dioptre adjustment operates on both sides from -5 to +5. The HWF 10x eyepieces have a 20 mm field of view, a high eye point and a 30 mm mounting diameter, and are fixed in the tube.Illumination and camera connectionThe incident and transmitted light sources are 3 W LEDs, each of which can be dimmed independently. The contrast method is bright field. A C-Mount adapter is required to connect a camera. Kern lists the microscope camera adapters OZB-A4809 (1x), OZB-A4810 (0.3x) and OZB-A4811 (0.5x), as well as the eyepiece camera adapter OZB-A4863 (1x). For models with a camera output, Kern lists the ODC 241, ODC 825, ODC 832 and ODC 852 cameras. For the OZL 464 and OZL 468, the ODC 854 is added; for the OZL 468, so is the ODC 251.Stand, power and dimensionsAccording to the brochure, the stand allows the microscope head to be removed and fitted into other modular systems, such as a universal stand. The coarse focus mechanism features torque control. The power supply is built-in and operates at 100 to 240 V; it is connected via a power cable. The microscopes measure 300 x 240 x 420 mm. The OZL 463 and OZL 464 have a net weight of approx. 4.2 kg, while the OZL 465, OZL 466, OZL 467 and OZL 468 weigh approximately 4.6 kg.Typical applicationsAssembly and repair workstations, for example in the electronics industryTraining organisations, schools and training workshopsTest centres and quality control: circuit boards and componentsZoology and botany, tissue preparation, dissectionSoldering work and inspection using a camera (OZL 464 and OZL 466)Models at a glanceModelTubeBeam splitter ratioStandClick-StopNet weightOZL 463Binocularnot applicableColumnnoapprox. 4.2 kgOZL 464Trinocular50:50Columnyesapprox. 4.2 kgOZL 465Binocularnot applicableColumnnoapprox. 4.6 kgOZL 466Trinocular50:50Columnyesapprox. 4.6 kgOZL 467Binocularnot applicablemechanicalnoapprox. 4.6 kgOZL 468Trinocular0:100mechanicalnoapprox. 4.6 kgTechnical detailsThese values apply to all models. Memmert UF160 universal oven, heating and drying oven with forced air circulation, 161 litres, up to 300 °C
Within the eight-tier UF series with forced air circulation, the Memmert UF160 universal oven marks the exact point at which a benchtop unit becomes a floor-standing cabinet: 161 litres of internal volume, a temperature range from 20 to 300 °C and up to 8 shelves for the daily rotation of different batches. The air turbine, which can be electronically controlled in 10 % increments, actively distributes heat throughout the interior and brings samples up to temperature more quickly and evenly than natural convection alone. From drying freshly cleaned laboratory glassware to tempering, ageing and baking material samples, right through to curing in quality assurance, the UF160 thus covers a wide range of applications in laboratories and industry.Forced air circulation for even temperature distribution and short heating timesThe air turbine in the Memmert UF160 universal oven can be electronically controlled in 10 % increments and actively distributes the heat throughout the interior, rather than simply allowing it to rise, as is the case with a natural convection chamber. As a result, the UF160 operates from a minimum of 10 °C above room temperature up to 300 °C. A natural convection unit already starts operating from around 5 °C above room temperature but, in return, operates without any air movement inside the chamber. A DIN Class A Pt100 temperature sensor with 4-wire measurement ensures a setting accuracy of 0.1 °C up to 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C. Those who run many different batches with varying setpoint temperatures will benefit from the shorter heating-up phases achieved through active air circulation.ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY: Operation, programming and data acquisitionThe UF160 is controlled via the ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY, an adaptive, multifunctional digital PID microprocessor controller with a high-resolution TFT colour graphics display. The following parameters can be adjusted: temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit, the speed of the forced air circulation motor, the position of the exhaust air damper, the programme duration, as well as the time zone and summer/winter time. A digital countdown timer with target time can be set from 1 minute to 99 days; the SetpointWait function only starts the actual process time once the setpoint temperature has actually been reached, which ensures reproducible results in time-critical drying or ageing processes. The integrated data logger can be read, managed and organised via the Ethernet interface; a time-limited trial version of the AtmoCONTROL software is available for download to get you started.Capacity and connections of the Memmert UF160 universal ovenThe interior of the UF160 accommodates up to 8 shelves; 2 electropolished stainless steel grid shelves are included in the scope of delivery. The cabinet has a total load capacity of up to 210 kg, with a maximum load of 20 kg per shelf. The internal usable space measures 560 x 720 x 400 mm; the external dimensions of the cabinet are 745 x 1,104 x 584 mm, and the net weight is approximately 96 kg. The interior consists of easy-to-clean stainless steel, reinforced with deep-drawn ribbing, featuring protected, integrated 4-sided all-round heating; the housing is made of textured stainless steel with a fully galvanised sheet steel rear panel. The UF160 can be connected either to 230 V (approx. 3,200 W) or 115 V (approx. 1,800 W), in both cases at 50/60 Hz; a single-phase connection is still sufficient for this size.Selection guide: choosing the right size from the UF rangeThe Memmert UF range comprises eight models with internal volumes ranging from 53 to 1,060 litres, all featuring forced-air circulation and available with TwinDISPLAY. When choosing the right size, the key factors, alongside the internal volume, are the footprint and the number of shelves required; not every larger model automatically requires more floor space.ModelInternal volumeUF5553 l, footprint 585 x 514 mm, max. 4 shelvesUF7574 l, footprint 585 x 514 mm, max. 6 shelvesUF110108 l, footprint 745 x 584 mm, 5 shelves max.UF160161 l, footprint 745 x 584 mm, max. 8 shelvesUF260256 l, footprint 824 x 684 mm, max. 9 shelvesUF450449 l, footprint 1,224 x 784 mm, max. 8 shelvesUF750749 l, footprint 1,224 x 784 mm, max. 14 shelvesUF10601,060 l, footprint 1,224 x 1,035 mm, max. 14 shelvesThe UF160 straddles the line between a benchtop unit and a floor-standing cabinet: whilst having the same footprint as the smaller Memmert UF110 universal oven, it offers significantly more capacity, with 8 shelves instead of 5, in a housing that is only slightly larger. For those who regularly process even larger batches, the next step up is the Memmert UF260 universal oven with a capacity of 256 litres. You can find all models in this range in our Climate Chambers & Incubators range.Distinction: TwinDISPLAY and the natural convection variantWithin the UF160 series, the most important purchasing decision is between SingleDISPLAY and TwinDISPLAY. The UF160 described here operates with a single Pt100 sensor and one display; for unattended processes with higher safety requirements, the Memmert UF160plus universal oven offers two redundant Pt100 sensors with mutual monitoring, as well as two TFT displays instead of one. Those who can do without active air circulation, for example, because samples sensitive to dust or air movement are laid out in the open, will find the Memmert UN160 universal oven to be the direct equivalent, featuring natural convection instead of an air turbine, whilst retaining the same internal volume of 161 litres. Conversely, those who can manage with a smaller volume will save a noticeable amount of floor space with the more compact Memmert UF110 universal oven.Safety according to DIN 12880 for unattended operationIn addition to the adjustable electronic temperature monitoring, the UF160 features a mechanical temperature limiter (protection class 1 according to DIN 12880), which switches off the heating when the temperature rises to approximately 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature, an important safety feature for overnight or weekend runs. An integrated self-diagnostic system assists with fault-finding, whilst the calibration function allows three freely selectable temperature values to be readjusted. The unit bears CE and EAC markings as well as a UL test mark.Use, installation and disposalWhen operating the UF160, a minimum distance of 15 cm from the wall and a minimum distance of 20 cm from the ceiling must be maintained; a minimum distance of 5 cm from the side of the wall or an adjacent unit is sufficient. The unit may be installed at altitudes of up to 2,000 m above sea level at an ambient temperature of 5 °C to 40 °C and a relative humidity of no more than 80 %, non-condensing. Electrically, the cabinet is designed for overvoltage category II and pollution degree 2; it must only be transported in an upright position. The interior, made of easy-to-clean stainless steel, can be cleaned using standard laboratory cleaning agents; the robust textured stainless steel construction ensures a long service life. As an electrical appliance, the UF160 is subject to the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) at the end of its service life and must not be disposed of with household waste; see Regulatory information below.Typical applicationsWith forced air circulation, an internal volume of 161 litres and an installation altitude of up to 2,000 metres, the Memmert UF160 universal oven is suitable for a wide range of heat treatment processes in both laboratory and industrial settings.Drying laboratory glassware and sample vessels in routine operationsTempering, ageing and baking of material samplesTesting and curing in quality assuranceMaterial testing in industrial manufacturingHeat treatment processes in science and researchAn intermediate size for laboratories that require greater capacity than the UF110 can provideInvestment rationale: SingleDISPLAY or TwinDISPLAYThe scope of delivery for the UF160 includes two electropolished stainless steel grid shelves; the cabinet is designed to accommodate up to eight shelves. For day-to-day operation under supervision, the SingleDISPLAY on the UF160 described here is generally sufficient. However, if drying or ageing processes run unattended overnight or at weekends, the redundant sensor system of the Memmert UF160plus universal oven reduces the risk of a single sensor failure jeopardising the entire batch. For visual inspection without opening the door, a full-view glass door rated up to 250 °C or 300 °C is available as an option, as are interior lighting and reinforced grid shelves or perforated trays for up to 60 kg for heavier samples. Those wishing to use the data logger on a permanent basis rather than just with the time-limited trial version can add an AtmoCONTROL software licence. For pharmaceutical or standard-compliant applications, we arrange calibration, IQ/OQ/PQ and maintenance services, including DAkkS calibration on request.Frequently asked questions before making a purchaseHow many samples can the UF160 hold at any one time? Two grid shelves are supplied as standard; it can accommodate up to 8 shelves, each with a maximum load of 20 kg, for a total load capacity of up to 210 kg.How does the UF160 differ from the UF160plus?Both share the same housing and air turbine; the UF160plus also features two redundant Pt100 sensors, TwinDISPLAY, HeatBALANCE and AutoSAFETY for greater process reliability during unattended operation. Is a natural convection model available in this size?Yes, the Memmert UN160 universal oven offers the same internal volume of 161 litres, but operates without an air turbine and is suitable for samples that are sensitive to dust or air movement. What is the accuracy of the temperature control?0.1 °C up to 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C onwards, measured using a DIN Class A Pt100 sensor with a 4-wire connection. What type of power supply is required?Either 230 V at around 3,200 W or 115 V at around 1,800 W, in both cases at 50/60 Hz; a single-phase supply is sufficient. Is the UF160 suitable for continuous overnight operation? The mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880 switches the heater off when the temperature rises by approximately 20 °C and is designed for unattended operation. Can a glass door be retrofitted?A full-view glass door rated up to 250 °C or 300 °C is one of the common options for the UF160 and can be selected when placing your order.Technical detailsSetting temperature range20 to 300 °CWorking temperature rangeat least 10 °C above room temperature up to 300 °CTemperature setting accuracyup to 99.9 °C: 0.1 °C, from 100 °C: 0.5 °CTemperature sensorPt100, DIN Class A, 4-wire measurementInternal volume161 lInternal dimensions (W x H x D)560 x 720 x 400 mmExternal dimensions of the housing (W x H x D)745 x 1,104 x 584 mmNet weightapprox. 96 kg230 V connection50/60 Hz, approx. 3,200 W115 V connection50/60 Hz, approx. 1,800 WMaximum number of shelves8Shelves included in the scope of delivery2Max. load on the unit210 kgMaximum load per shelf20 kgInterior materialsStainless steel, 4-sided all-round heatingHousing materialTextured stainless steel, galvanised sheet steel rear panelControlControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY, PID microprocessor controller, TFT colour graphics displayTimer1 minute to 99 days, digital countdown clockPermissible ambient temperature5 °C to 40 °CPermissible humiditymax. 80 % relative humidity, non-condensingMaximum installation altitude2,000 mLabellingCE, EAC, UL test markScope of delivery1x Memmert UF160 universal ovenFactory calibration certificate (calibration at 160 °C)Fully insulated stainless steel door with a 2-point locking system (compression door lock)2x stainless steel grid shelves, electropolishedRegulatory informationThe Memmert UF160 universal oven is registered with the Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte Register (Stiftung EAR) under WEEE registration number DE 66812464.Individual requirements and procurement serviceThe UF160 is available with, amongst other features, full-view glass doors rated up to 250 °C or 300 °C, interior lighting, reinforced grid shelves and perforated trays up to 60 kg, slide-in or floor-standing drip trays, as well as wall brackets, levelling feet and a mobile or fixed base frame. Heidolph Hei-PLATE Mix 20l Magnetic Stirrer, up to 20 Litres, without Heating, 506-54100-00
If a batch requires more volume than a standard hotplate can accommodate, but at the same time does not require a heat source directly beneath the vessel, the Hei-PLATE Mix 20 l provides exactly this combination: stirring of up to 20 l without any heating function; according to the manufacturer, even the heat from the motor is not transferred to the work surface. The chassis is identical in construction to the Hei-PLATE Mix'n'Heat Core, but without the heating module, and covers a speed range from 100 to 1,400 revolutions per minute. No heat input for heat-sensitive substancesFor substances that are sensitive to heat, any additional source of temperature poses a risk, even the waste heat from a motor. The Hei-PLATE Mix 20 l is therefore deliberately designed without a heating function, ensuring that the base remains cool. A soft-start function gently brings the speed up to the set value, ensuring that the sample does not splash at start-up and the stir bar does not veer off course.Large Kera-Disk platform for 20 lThe 145-millimetre-diameter Kera-Disk platform, made of aluminium with a ceramic coating, is chemical-resistant and scratch-resistant, and can support samples weighing up to 25 kilograms. With a power consumption of just 25 watts in normal operation, energy usage remains low for a unit with this stirring capacity; in standby mode, it drops to 1.7 watts. The external dimensions of 168 x 101 x 299 millimetres are consistent with the rest of the Hei-PLATE range, meaning the unit can be integrated into existing workstations without any modifications.Typical applicationsStirring of large-volume batches up to 20 l without heat inputProcessing of heat-labile active ingredients and dyesPreparation of larger volumes of buffers and reagents in routine laboratory workApplications where even minimal motor heat would interfere with the sampleSupplementing a Hei-PLATE workstation with a second, non-heated unitElectrical protection and environmental conditionsDegree of protection IP42 protects against foreign bodies larger than 1 mm and against obliquely falling dripping water; the sound pressure level is below 50 dB(A). The unit operates at 230 volts at 50 or 60 hertz in Europe and 115 volts in the USA, in each case via a connection with L, N and a protective earth conductor. The permissible operating range is from 5 to 31 °C at up to 80 % relative humidity; above this, the permissible humidity decreases linearly down to 40 °C.Selection guide: smaller volume or with heatingIf 5 litres of stirring volume is sufficient, the more compact Hei-Mix S is the smaller and simpler alternative. If a heating plate is required, the identically constructed chassis with a heating module, as the Hei-PLATE Mix'n'Heat Core, delivers temperatures up to 300 °C; with additional digital Pt1000 control, it is available as the Hei-PLATE Mix'n'Heat Core+.Technical detailsDimensions (W x H x D)168 x 101 x 299 mmFootprint (Kera-Disk)Ø 145 mm, aluminium, ceramic-coatedWeightapprox. 3 kgMaximum permissible load25 kgDriveEC motor, counter-clockwise rotationSpeed range100 to 1,400 rpmDegree of protection (EN 60529)IP42Sound pressure level< 50 dB(A)Rated voltage230 V, 50/60 Hz (EU); 115 V, 50/60 Hz (US)Connection typeL+N+PEProtection classIOvervoltage categoryIIPollution degree2Power consumption25 W in normal operation, 1.7 W on standbyEMC classB, Group 1Operating temperature5 to 31 °C at up to 80 % relative humidity, 32 to 40 °C at up to 50 % relative humidity (linearly decreasing)Installation altitudeup to 2,000 m above sea levelScope of deliveryHei-PLATE Mix 20 l, order number 506-54100-00The silicone cover for the Hei-PLATE Mix 20 l is not included in the scope of delivery and must be ordered separately.Regulatory informationThis device is an electrical appliance within the meaning of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). Memmert UN110 universal oven, heating and drying oven with natural convection, 108 litres, up to 300 °C
The Memmert UN110 universal oven is a heating and drying oven from the Memmert UN series. With an internal volume of 108 litres, it marks the transition from the compact benchtop units of the UN series to a noticeably larger footprint and greater loading capacity, whilst continuing to operate using purely natural convection within a temperature range of 20 to 300 °C. For laboratories that regularly dry, temper or cure larger batches or several batches in parallel, without giving up vibration-free operation, the UN110 is the obvious choice between a compact benchtop unit and a large-volume floor-standing cabinet.Natural convection for larger batchesThe Memmert UN110 universal oven also deliberately does not feature an air turbine or a forced air circulation motor. Heat rises within the chamber purely by convection, without dust or light sample particles being stirred up by a fan. As a result, the working temperature range starts from at least 5 °C above room temperature up to 300 °C. With an internal volume of 108 litres and several shelves occupied simultaneously, uniform natural heat distribution remains crucial, particularly when sensitive or exposed samples must not be affected by air movement. A Pt100 temperature sensor of DIN Class A in a 4-wire configuration ensures a setting accuracy of 0.1 °C up to 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C onwards.ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY: Operation and data acquisitionThe UN110 is controlled via the ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY, an adaptive, multifunctional digital PID microprocessor controller with a high-resolution TFT colour graphics display. You can set the temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit, as well as the position of the exhaust air flap, the programme duration, the time zone and summer/winter time. A digital countdown timer with target time can be set from 1 minute to 99 days; the SetpointWait function only starts the process time once the setpoint temperature has actually been reached, ensuring reproducible results for larger batches. The data logger can be read out and managed via the Ethernet interface; a time-limited trial version of the AtmoCONTROL software is available for download.Capacity and dimensions of the Memmert UN110 universal ovenThe interior measures 560 x 480 x 400 mm, whilst the external dimensions are 745 x 864 x 584 mm, representing a noticeably larger footprint than the smaller UN30, UN55 and UN75 models. The scope of delivery includes two electropolished stainless steel grid shelves, and the cabinet can accommodate up to five shelves in total. The maximum load capacity is 175 kg for the entire unit and 20 kg per shelf. The interior consists of easy-to-clean stainless steel, reinforced by deep-drawn ribbing, with protected, integrated 4-sided all-round heating; the housing is made of textured stainless steel with a fully galvanised sheet steel rear panel. The UN110 is connected to either 230 V (approx. 2,800 W) or 115 V (approx. 1,800 W), in each case at 50/60 Hz.Selection guide: moving to a larger floor areaThe Memmert UN series with natural convection covers internal volumes ranging from 32 to 749 litres. The UN110 is the first model in the range to feature a noticeably larger footprint compared with the three smaller benchtop models.ModelInternal volumeUN3032 l, footprint 585 x 434 mm, 3 shelves max.UN5553 l, footprint 585 x 514 mm, max. 4 shelvesUN7574 l, footprint 585 x 514 mm, max. 6 shelvesUN110108 l, footprint 745 x 584 mm, 5 shelves max.UN260256 l, footprint 824 x 684 mm, max. 9 shelvesUN450449 l, footprint 1,224 x 784 mm, max. 8 shelvesUN750749 l, footprint 1,224 x 784 mm, max. 14 shelvesAnyone upgrading from the UN75 (74 litres, same footprint as the UN55) who requires more capacity and a higher load capacity per unit will find the UN110 to be the suitable next step. If even that is no longer sufficient, the Memmert UN260 universal oven offers a significantly larger, freestanding model with a capacity of 256 litres. The full range of climate chambers and incubators can be found under Climate Chambers & Incubators.Distinction: natural convection versus forced-air circulationAnyone requiring more active heat distribution and shorter heating times for similar volumes, for example, with densely packed batches of varying sizes, will find the Memmert UF160 universal oven to be the suitable forced air circulation counterpart, featuring an electronically controllable air turbine. Its working temperature range starts at 10 °C rather than 5 °C above room temperature. For samples sensitive to dust or air movement, the natural convection of the UN110 remains the more suitable choice. A significantly more compact natural convection model for smaller sample quantities is the Memmert UN30 universal oven. Like all standard models in the UN series, the UN110 operates with the ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY, rather than the TwinDISPLAY reserved for the ‘plus’ variants.Safety according to DIN 12880 even for larger batchesThe UN110 features adjustable electronic temperature monitoring and a mechanical temperature limiter (protection class 1 according to DIN 12880), which switches off the heating when the temperature rises to approximately 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature, an important safety feature for overnight or weekend runs when several shelves are in use simultaneously. A self-diagnostic system assists with fault-finding, and three freely selectable temperature values can be calibrated. The unit bears CE and EAC markings as well as a UL test mark.Installation, operation and disposalFor operation, a minimum clearance of 15 cm from the wall and a minimum clearance of 20 cm from the ceiling must be maintained; a minimum clearance of 5 cm is sufficient on either side from the wall or an adjacent unit. With a net weight of around 74 kg, it is recommended that the UN110 be placed on a sturdy, load-bearing base rather than simply on a laboratory bench. It may be installed at altitudes of up to 2,000 m above sea level at an ambient temperature of 5 °C to 40 °C and a relative humidity of no more than 80 %, non-condensing. Electrically, the UN110 is designed for overvoltage category II and pollution degree 2; it must only be transported in an upright position. As an electrical appliance, the UN110 is subject to the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) at the end of its service life and must not be disposed of with household waste.Typical applicationsWith an internal volume of 108 litres and a load capacity of up to 175 kg, the Memmert UN110 universal oven is suitable for laboratories and businesses that regularly dry or heat-treat large quantities of samples.Drying large quantities of laboratory glassware and sample containersVibration-free drying of dust- or air-sensitive materials in multiple batchesTempering, ageing and firing of material samples in industrial quality assuranceMaterial tests with a higher sample throughput than with the smaller UN modelsScience and research involving varying, sometimes larger, seriesInvestment rationale: Equipment for higher throughputThe scope of delivery for the UN110 includes 2 electropolished stainless steel grid shelves; the cabinet is designed to accommodate up to 5 shelves, each with a maximum load of 20 kg. If you regularly use all levels, you can add further grid shelves or perforated trays. For visual inspection without opening the door, a full-view glass door is available, along with interior lighting and a socket for additional measuring equipment, as well as a levelling or mobile base for flexible repositioning. For gas-tight applications, a corresponding version including gas supply and exhaust is available. For continuous data logging, an AtmoCONTROL software licence is recommended; for applications subject to standards, calibration and IQ/OQ/PQ services are available, including DAkkS calibration on request.Frequently asked questions before making a purchaseWhen is the UN110 a good choice?Compared with compact benchtop units, it offers a significantly larger internal volume and a more robust base, without sacrificing the benefits of natural convection. Will the UN110 still fit on a laboratory bench? With a net weight of around 74 kg and a footprint of 745 x 584 mm, a sturdy, load-bearing base is recommended rather than a standard laboratory bench. How many samples can be loaded at the same time?Up to 5 shelves, each with a maximum load of 20 kg, giving a total load capacity of up to 175 kg.What is the accuracy of the temperature control? The DIN Class A Pt100 sensor, using 4-wire technology, provides an accuracy of 0.1 °C up to 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C onwards, regardless of the cabinet size within the UN series. Is the UN110 also available with forced air circulation? The direct counterpart with forced air circulation in a similar size range is the Memmert UF160 universal oven, with a capacity of 161 litres and an electronically controlled air turbine. Is a gas-tight design possible?Yes, a virtually gas-tight interior with gas inlet and outlet connections is one of the common options for the UN110.Is the UN110 suitable for unattended operation? The mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880 switches off the heating if the temperature rises by approximately 20 °C and is designed for night-time or weekend operation.Technical detailsSetting temperature range20 to 300 °CWorking temperature rangeat least 5 °C above room temperature up to 300 °CTemperature setting accuracyup to 99.9 °C: 0.1 °C, from 100 °C: 0.5 °CTemperature sensorPt100, DIN Class A, 4-wire measurementInternal volume108 lInternal dimensions (W x H x D)560 x 480 x 400 mmExternal dimensions of the housing (W x H x D)745 x 864 x 584 mmNet weightapprox. 74 kg230 V connection50/60 Hz, approx. 2,800 W115 V connection50/60 Hz, approx. 1,800 WMaximum number of shelves5Shelves included in the scope of delivery2Max. load on the unit175 kgMaximum load per shelf20 kgInterior materialsStainless steel, 4-sided all-round heatingHousing materialTextured stainless steel, galvanised sheet steel rear panelControlControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY, PID microprocessor controller, TFT colour graphics displayTimer1 minute to 99 days, digital countdown clockPermissible ambient temperature5 °C to 40 °CPermissible humiditymax. 80 % relative humidity, non-condensingMaximum installation altitude2,000 mLabellingCE, EAC, UL test markScope of delivery1x Memmert UN110 universal ovenFactory calibration certificate (calibration at 160 °C)Fully insulated stainless steel doors with a 2-point locking system (compression door lock)2x stainless steel grid shelves, electropolishedRegulatory informationThe Memmert UN110 universal oven is registered with the Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte Register (Stiftung EAR) under WEEE registration number DE 66812464.Individual requirements and procurement serviceThe UN110 is available with, amongst other features, full-view glass doors, interior lighting and a power socket, a levelling or mobile base frame, reinforced grid shelves and perforated trays, as well as a gas-tight version with various pipe feed-throughs. Memmert IN30 incubator, compact incubator with natural convection, 32 litres, up to 80 °C
With an internal volume of 32 litres, a temperature range of 20 to 80 °C and purely natural convection, the Memmert IN30 incubator is designed as a compact incubator for the incubation and cultivation of samples in microbiology, food analysis and the pharmaceutical industry. An internal glass door allows visual inspection of the cultures without having to open the fully insulated outer door and thereby disturb the internal temperature, a practical difference compared to the pure heating and drying ovens of the UN series.Natural convection for stable incubation conditionsThe Memmert IN30 incubator operates without an air turbine or a forced-air fan; the heat rises within the chamber purely by thermal convection. This is an advantage for the cultivation of microorganisms and cell cultures: there is no forced air movement that could dry out open Petri dishes or affect culture media. The operating temperature range starts at a minimum of 5 °C above room temperature and extends up to 80 °C. A DIN Class A Pt100 temperature sensor with 4-wire measurement ensures a setting accuracy of 0.1 °C across the entire operating range, important for reproducible incubation temperatures, such as 37 °C in microbiology.ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY and data acquisitionThe IN30 is controlled via the ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY, an adaptive, multifunctional digital PID microprocessor controller with a high-resolution TFT colour graphic display. The temperature can be set in Celsius or Fahrenheit, as well as the position of the exhaust air flap, programme duration, time zone and summer/winter time. A digital countdown timer with target time can be set from 1 minute to 99 days; the SetpointWait function only starts the incubation time once the setpoint temperature has actually been reached, which is important for defined incubation times. The data logger can be read out and managed via the Ethernet interface; a time-limited trial version of the AtmoCONTROL software is available for download.Capacity and dimensions of the Memmert IN30 incubatorThe internal chamber measures 400 x 320 x 250 mm, whilst the external dimensions are 585 x 704 x 434 mm. An electropolished stainless steel grid shelf is included in the scope of delivery; the incubator can accommodate up to three shelves in total. The maximum load capacity is 60 kg for the entire unit and 20 kg per shelf, which is more than sufficient for Petri dishes, test tubes and smaller culture vessels. The interior consists of easy-to-clean stainless steel, reinforced by deep-drawn ribbing, with protected, integrated 4-sided all-round heating; the housing is made of textured stainless steel with a fully galvanised sheet steel rear panel. The IN30 is connected to 230 V (approx. 1,600 W) or 115 V (approx. 800 W), in both cases at 50/60 Hz, with noticeably lower power consumption than the heating ovens of the UN series with their higher temperature range.Selection guide: choosing the right incubator sizeWe offer a choice of two sizes with natural convection, as well as the forced-air version with TwinDISPLAY for different temperature distribution requirements.ModelInternal volume and controlIN3032 l, natural convection, SingleDISPLAY, max. 3 shelvesIN5553 l, natural convection, SingleDISPLAY, max. 4 shelvesIF30plus32 l, forced air circulation, TwinDISPLAY, max. 3 shelvesFor those who wish to incubate more culture vessels simultaneously whilst still avoiding forced air circulation, the Memmert IN55 incubator with a 53-litre capacity offers the next level. Those who, on the other hand, require active, more uniform air circulation as well as an integrated sterilisation programme will find these functions in the Memmert IF30plus incubator, which is identical in size. The full range of climate chambers and incubators can be found under Climate Chambers & Incubators.Distinction: Incubator versus heating oven, IN versus IFUnlike the universal ovens in the UN series, the IN30 is specifically designed for incubation temperatures up to 80 °C, not for drying or tempering processes up to 300 °C. The inner glass door, included with the IN30, is not part of the standard specification for the UN models and is important for culture monitoring without temperature loss. Within the incubator range, the key purchasing decision is between natural convection (IN series) and forced air circulation (IF series): The IF30plus features an air turbine, two Pt100 sensors for mutual monitoring, a TwinDISPLAY with two screens and a permanently installed sterilisation programme for the interior, all functions that the IN30, with its SingleDISPLAY, does not offer. Those who switch between different sample types and wish to decontaminate the interior between runs are better served by the IF30plus; those who require quiet, vibration-free incubation without air movement are better off sticking with the IN30.Safety according to DIN 12880The IN30 features adjustable electronic temperature monitoring and a mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880, which switches off the heating when the temperature reaches approximately 20 °C above the maximum chamber temperature, important for incubation runs lasting several days without constant supervision. A self-diagnostic system assists with fault-finding, and three freely selectable temperature values can be calibrated. The unit bears CE and EAC markings as well as a UL mark.Installation, operation and disposalFor operation, a minimum distance of 15 cm from the wall and a minimum distance of 20 cm from the ceiling must be maintained; a minimum of 5 cm is sufficient on either side in relation to a wall or neighbouring unit. Installation is permitted at altitudes of up to 2,000 m above sea level at an ambient temperature of 5 °C to 40 °C and a relative humidity of no more than 80 %, non-condensing. Electrically, the IN30 is designed for overvoltage category II and pollution degree 2; it must only be transported in an upright position. The interior and the inner glass door can be cleaned using standard laboratory cleaning agents and disinfectants. As an electrical appliance, the IN30 is subject to the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act at the end of its service life and must not be disposed of with household waste.Typical areas of applicationWith an internal volume of 32 litres and incubation temperatures of up to 80 °C, the Memmert IN30 incubator is suitable for compact routine applications in microbiology and food technology.Incubation of culture media and cultures in routine microbiological workBacterial count determination and shelf-life testing in food analysisIncubation of small batches in the pharmaceutical industry and researchVisual inspection of ongoing cultures without temperature loss thanks to the internal glass doorCompact entry-level incubator for schools, training and routine laboratoriesReasons for investment: Equipment for day-to-day incubationThe IN30 comes supplied with 1 electropolished stainless steel grid shelf and the internal glass door; the incubator is designed to accommodate up to 3 shelves. For process documentation, we recommend a permanent AtmoCONTROL software licence rather than the time-limited trial version, supplemented by a USB-to-Ethernet adapter. Those wishing to secure access can configure a lockable door with a security lock; for enhanced safety, an additional Pt100 sensor with overtemperature protection is available. For pharmaceutical or standards-compliant applications, we arrange calibration, IQ/OQ/PQ and maintenance services, including DAkkS calibration on request. Those wishing to combine the IN30 with other devices on a shelf or rack will find a space-saving solution in a wall bracket or stacking kit, without taking up any additional floor space.Frequently asked questions before purchaseWhat is the inner glass door for?It allows visual inspection of the cultures without having to open the fully insulated outer door, which reduces temperature fluctuations inside the unit and disturbs the incubation process less.Up to what temperature does the IN30 operate? The adjustable temperature range is from 20 to 80 °C; the operating temperature range starts at a minimum of 5 °C above room temperature. How many culture vessels can fit inside at the same time? One grid shelf is included as standard; up to three shelves, each with a maximum load of 20 kg, are possible, for a total load of up to 60 kg.Is the IN30 different from the UN30 universal oven?Yes, the IN30 is designed for incubation temperatures up to 80 °C and has an internal glass door, whilst the UN30 operates as a heating and drying oven up to 300 °C without an internal glass door.Is the IN30 a medical device? No, according to Memmert’s own MDR classification table, the IN30 is not a medical device; this applies only to the separate m and mplus variants. Is there a version with active air circulation?Yes, the Memmert IF30plus incubator, which is the same size, features forced air circulation, TwinDISPLAY and an integrated sterilisation programme. Is the IN30 suitable for continuous operation over several days? The mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880 switches off the heating at an excess temperature of approximately 20 °C and is designed for unattended operation. Can the IN30 also be used for drying tasks instead of incubation? In principle, yes, provided the setpoint temperature is within the range of 20 to 80 °C. For higher drying temperatures up to 300 °C, a heating and drying oven from the UN series, such as the Memmert UN30 universal oven, is the more suitable choice.Technical detailsAdjustable temperature range20 to 80 °COperating temperature rangeat least 5 °C above room temperature up to 80 °CTemperature setting accuracy0.1 °CTemperature sensorPt100, DIN Class A, 4-wire measurementInternal volume32 lInternal dimensions (W x H x D)400 x 320 x 250 mmExternal dimensions of housing (W x H x D)585 x 704 x 434 mmNet weightapprox. 48 kgConnection 230 V50/60 Hz, approx. 1,600 WConnection 115 V50/60 Hz, approx. 800 WMaximum number of shelves3Shelves included in scope of delivery1Max. load on unit60 kgMax. load per shelf20 kgInterior materialStainless steel, 4-sided all-round heatingCasing materialTextured stainless steel, galvanised sheet steel rear panelControl systemControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY, PID microprocessor controller, TFT colour graphics displayTimer1 minute to 99 days, digital countdown timerPermissible ambient temperature5 °C to 40 °CPermissible relative humiditymax. 80 % rel., non-condensingMaximum installation height2,000 mMarkingsCE, EAC, UL marksScope of delivery1x Memmert IN30 incubatorFactory calibration certificate (calibrated at 37 °C)Fully insulated stainless steel door with 2-point locking mechanism (compression door lock)Inner glass door1x stainless steel grid shelf, electropolishedRegulatory informationThe Memmert IN30 incubator is registered with the Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte Register (Stiftung EAR) under WEEE registration number DE 66812464.Individual requirements & procurement serviceOptions available for the IN30 include interior lighting and a power socket, a lockable door with a security lock, an additional Pt100 sensor with over-temperature protection, and reinforced grid shelves. IKA T 18 mini digital Solution Disperser Set, brushless motor including tool and stand, 0010015137
Not every laboratory workstation has room for a large drive, and not every sample requires 500 watts of power. The IKA T 18 mini digital Solution (0010015137) is designed precisely for these situations: a compact, brushless disperser set with tool and stand that can be accommodated even in small spaces and is designed for samples with lower viscosity. Compact brushless drive With external dimensions of 66 x 186 x 100 millimetres and a weight of 1.8 kilograms, the drive unit is significantly smaller than the classic T 18 digital. The brushless DC motor delivers 210 watts of input power and 160 watts of output power, and is designed for a maximum viscosity of 2,000 mPas. As with the larger series, the speed range extends from 3,000 to 25,000 revolutions per minute, albeit with a slightly higher deviation of 3 %. Digital display, timer and USB-C The LED display shows the set speed, whilst an integrated timer with its own LED display manages the process time, meaning that runs do not need to be stopped manually. The device can be connected to a documentation system via the USB-C interface. In standby mode, power consumption is just 3 watts, whilst the maximum power consumption of the unit is 250 watts. Power is supplied internally via 48 volts DC at a current draw of 4,500 milliamps; the power supply unit itself covers the range from 100 to 240 volts and can therefore be used worldwide without the need for a separate voltage converter. Designed for smaller volumes and lower viscosity According to the manufacturer, the T 18 mini digital Solution is suitable for simple applications involving the homogenisation of low-viscosity samples. As with the larger model, the processable volume ranges from 0.001 to 1.5 litres; however, the maximum viscosity of 2,000 mPas is lower than that of the T 18 digital, which is 5,000 mPas. For routine samples in life sciences laboratories, training centres or smaller-scale quality control procedures that do not involve particularly tough or high-volume batches, the performance is generally adequate. What the compact design means in everyday use With a footprint that is significantly smaller than that of the classic T 18 digital, the T 18 mini digital Solution can be accommodated even where several workstations are positioned close together, such as in practical training rooms or at smaller fume hood workstations. The lower weight of 1.8 kilograms also makes manual operation more comfortable over longer periods when a stand is not used. Those who regularly switch between several workstations also benefit from the fact that the compact unit is easier to transport than the larger series. Typical applications Homogenisation of low-viscosity samples (according to the manufacturer) Smaller batches in life sciences and teaching laboratories Workstations with limited floor space Processes with documented time control via the integrated timer Brief overview within the T-18 range For those requiring higher viscosity or greater motor power, the larger T 18 digital Solution offers the suitable set with a power consumption of 500 watts instead of 210 watts. We supply the drive unit on its own as the T 18 digital ULTRA-TURRAX; the dispersing tool included in the set is also available separately as the S 18 N - 19 G dispersing tool. An overview of all our dispersing units can be found in the ‘Dispersing Units’ category; suitable tools are listed under ‘Dispersing Tools’. Application, installation and maintenance With an IP 30 protection rating, the drive unit is slightly better protected against the ingress of foreign objects than the classic T 18 digital with IP 20; however, it is still not designed to withstand splashing water. Operation is permitted at an ambient temperature of 5 to 40 °C and a relative humidity of up to 80 %. The tool’s supplied PTFE bearing must not run dry; the medium provides both lubrication and cooling. The integrated timer reduces the effort required for manual time control in recurring processes, but does not replace the need to monitor the batch. At the end of its service life, as an electrical appliance, the drive must not be disposed of with household waste, but must be placed in the separate collection for waste electrical and electronic equipment. When the mini drive is a worthwhile investment If the viscosity of the samples is up to a maximum of 2,000 mPas and the focus is on a compact design, a timer and documentation via USB-C, the T 18 mini digital Solution reliably meets these requirements. If, on the other hand, tougher media up to 5,000 mPas are regularly processed, or if the higher power consumption of 500 watts is required, the larger T 18 digital Solution is the more suitable choice. Both sets share the same standard tool, the S 18 N - 19 G, so switching between the two sizes does not necessarily change the choice of tool. For laboratories that need to meet both requirements simultaneously, for example a sensitive batch with low viscosity followed by a tougher sample, it may also be worthwhile to purchase both sizes for different workstations. Individual requirements & procurement service Those who also work with disposable dispersing tools will find the S 18/25-ET50 disposable tube from us to be a practical cleaning aid. Do you also require an additional stand for a second workstation or assistance with the USB connection to your documentation system? Through our procurement service, we support you with procurement and configuration. Frequently Asked Questions For which samples is the T 18 mini digital Solution suitable?According to the manufacturer, it is suitable for simple applications involving the homogenisation of low-viscosity samples, up to a maximum of 2,000 mPas. How does it differ from the larger T 18 digital Solution? The mini drive is brushless with a power consumption of 210 watts instead of 500 watts; it is more compact and designed for a lower maximum viscosity, but features a timer and a USB-C interface. Is a stand included in the scope of delivery?Yes, the set includes an R 1826 plate stand with an R 182 boss head. What is the USB-C interface used for?The USB-C port allows the device to be connected to a documentation system to record process data. What is the drive’s protection rating?IP 30 in accordance with DIN EN 60529, which protects against the ingress of foreign objects larger than 2.5 millimetres, but not against splashing water. Can I operate the drive worldwide without a voltage converter?Yes, the mains adaptor covers a range of 100 to 240 volts at 50/60 hertz.
Memmert UF30 universal oven, 32 l, +20 to +300 °C, SingleDISPLAY
With an internal capacity of 32 litres, the Memmert UF30 universal oven is the smallest model in the UF series and has compact external dimensions of 585 x 704 x 434 mm. Featuring forced air circulation and a temperature range of +20 to +300 °C, it is suitable for drying and heating processes involving individual samples or small batches where floor space is limited but the temperature inside the chamber must still be evenly distributed.Design and air circulationAn electronically controlled, low-noise air turbine circulates the air within the chamber; its speed can be adjusted in 10 % increments. Preheated fresh air is introduced via an electronically adjustable exhaust air damper; the exhaust air outlet with throttle valve can also be controlled electronically. The low-maintenance interior is reinforced with deep-drawn ribbing and features a protected, integrated 4-sided all-round heating system; the housing has a fully galvanised sheet steel rear panel.Control via the ControlCOCKPITThe UF30 is controlled via a ControlCOCKPIT featuring a high-resolution TFT colour graphic display and a DIN Class A Pt100 sensor in a 4-wire configuration. The setting accuracy is 0.1 °C up to a setpoint temperature of 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C onwards. The SetpointWAIT function only starts the process time once the setpoint temperature has actually been reached; a digital countdown timer covers target times ranging from 1 minute to 99 days. Three freely selectable temperature values can be calibrated, whilst a self-diagnostic system assists with troubleshooting. The programme sequence is saved in the event of a power failure, and the data logger can be read out and managed via the Ethernet interface.Safety according to DIN 12880A mechanical temperature limiter, protection class 1 according to DIN 12880, switches off the heating when the temperature rises to approximately 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature. The door is fully insulated and fitted with a two-point locking mechanism as a compression door lock. The permissible ambient temperature is +5 °C to +40 °C with a maximum relative humidity of 80 % (non-condensing), and the cabinet may be installed at altitudes of up to 2,000 m above sea level. The cabinet must only be transported in an upright position.Selection guide for the correct sizeThe scope of delivery includes a stainless steel grid shelf and up to three possible shelves; the UF30 is designed for small to medium sample quantities; a total load of up to 60 kg and 20 kg per shelf are permitted. Those who regularly wish to dry or temper multiple batches simultaneously will find greater internal volume in the UF55 (53 l) or the UF75 (74 l), as shown in the size table below.Typical applicationsWith an internal volume of 32 litres, the UF30 is suitable for drying, heating, tempering, ageing, baking, testing and curing in research, science, industry and quality assurance.Drying small sample batches in laboratory settingsTempering and curing of individual material samplesPreparing and baking small components in quality assuranceAgeing and testing small samples in research and quality assuranceTechnical detailsSetting temperature range+20 to +300 °CWorking temperature rangeat least 10 °C above room temperature up to +300 °CTemperature setting accuracyup to 99.9 °C: 0.1 °C, from 100 °C: 0.5 °CTemperature sensor1x Pt100, DIN Class A, 4-wire measurementInternal volume32 lInternal dimensions (W x H x D)400 x 320 x 250 mmExternal dimensions of housing (W x H x D)585 x 704 x 434 mmNet weightapprox. 45 kgConnection 230 V50/60 Hz, approx. 1,600 WConnection 115 V50/60 Hz, approx. 1,600 WShelves max.3Shelves included in scope of delivery1Max. load on unit60 kgMax. load per shelf20 kgInteriordeep-drawn ribbed, 4-sided all-round heatingControlControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY, PID microprocessor controller, TFT colour graphic displayPermissible ambient temperature+5 °C to +40 °CPermissible relative humiditymax. 80 % rel., non-condensingMaximum installation altitude2,000 mMarkingsCE, VDE GS, UL, EACOther sizes in the seriesThe UF series with SingleDISPLAY ranges from 32 to 1,060 litres internal volume, sorted by internal volume:ModelInternal volumeSet temperatureDisplayUF30 (this page)32 l+20 to +300 °CSingleDISPLAYUF5553 l+20 to +300 °CSingleDISPLAYUF7574 l+20 to +300 °CSingleDISPLAYUF110108 l+20 to +300 °CSingleDISPLAYUF160161 l+20 to +300 °CSingleDISPLAYUF260256 l+20 to +300 °CSingleDISPLAYUF450449 l+20 to +300 °CSingleDISPLAYUF750749 l+20 to +300 °CSingleDISPLAYUF10601,060 l+20 to +300 °CSingleDISPLAYThis model is also available with two temperature sensors and two control displays for redundant monitoring in the UF-plus series: UF30plus.Scope of delivery1x Memmert UF30 universal ovenFactory calibration certificate (calibrated at +160 °C)Fully insulated stainless steel door with 2-point locking (compression door lock)1x stainless steel grid shelf, electropolishedRegulatory informationThis appliance is an electrical appliance within the meaning of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). Memmert UN450 universal oven, large-capacity heating and drying oven with natural convection, 449 litres, up to 300 °C
The Memmert UN450 universal oven offers an internal volume of 449 litres within a comparatively modest overall height of 1,247 mm, meaning it fits even under lower ceilings where a taller model would not. Like all natural convection models in the series, it operates without a fan in the temperature range from 20 to 300 °C and is powered by three-phase current due to the heating power required. For industrial and research facilities wishing to heat-treat large batches without vibration, without needing a particularly tall unit, the UN450 is the suitable solution.Natural convection with a large internal volumeEven with an internal volume of 449 litres, the Memmert UN450 universal oven does not require an air turbine or a forced air circulation motor. Heat rises purely by convection, without a fan stirring up dust or light sample particles within the large interior. The working temperature range extends from at least 5 °C above room temperature up to 300 °C. Natural convection remains in high demand even in this size category, particularly for industrial material samples that must not be affected by air movement. A Pt100 temperature sensor of DIN Class A in a 4-wire configuration provides a setting accuracy of 0.1 °C up to 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C onwards.ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY and three-phase connectionThe UN450 is controlled via the ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY, an adaptive, multifunctional digital PID microprocessor controller with a TFT colour graphic display, which can be used to set the temperature, exhaust air damper position, programme duration and time zone. A digital countdown timer ranging from 1 minute to 99 days and the SetpointWait function, which only starts the process time once the setpoint temperature has been reached, ensure reproducible processes, even during long, unattended runs. As a chamber of this size requires correspondingly higher heating capacity, the UN450 is powered by 400 V three-phase current and 3 x 230 V without a neutral conductor at 50/60 Hz and with a power consumption of approximately 5,800 W, rather than the single-phase connection used by the smaller models. The data logger can be read via the Ethernet interface; a time-limited trial version of the AtmoCONTROL software is available for download.Capacity of the Memmert UN450 universal ovenThe internal dimensions are 1,040 x 720 x 600 mm; the external dimensions of the cabinet are 1,224 x 1,247 x 784 mm. There is space for up to 8 shelves; 2 electropolished stainless steel grid shelves are included in the scope of delivery. The UN450 can be loaded with a total of up to 300 kg; each shelf can hold up to 30 kg, which is more than the smaller UN models, which allow 20 kg per shelf. The interior consists of easy-to-clean stainless steel, reinforced by deep-drawn ribbing, with protected, integrated 4-sided all-round heating; the housing is made of textured stainless steel with a fully galvanised sheet steel rear panel. The fully insulated stainless steel doors are secured by a 2-point locking mechanism with a compression door lock.Selection guide: same footprint, different heightsWithin the Memmert UN series with natural convection, the internal volume ranges from 32 to 749 litres. The UN450 and UN750 share the same floor space and differ only in their overall height, which is an important selection criterion where room heights are low.ModelInternal volumeUN3032 l, footprint 585 x 434 mm, max. 3 shelvesUN5553 l, footprint 585 x 514 mm, max. 4 shelvesUN7574 l, footprint 585 x 514 mm, max. 6 shelvesUN110108 l, footprint 745 x 584 mm, max. 5 shelvesUN260256 l, footprint 824 x 684 mm, max. 9 shelvesUN450449 l, footprint 1,224 x 784 mm, max. 8 shelvesUN750749 l, footprint 1,224 x 784 mm, max. 14 shelvesIf you require the maximum capacity within this footprint and have a room height of more than 1.72 m, choose the Memmert UN750 universal oven with 749 litres and 14 shelves. If a smaller volume with a smaller footprint is sufficient, the Memmert UN260 universal oven with 256 litres is the suitable alternative. The full range of climate chambers and incubators can be found under Climate Chambers & Incubators.Distinction: natural convection versus forced air circulation, UN450 versus UF450In addition to the UN450 with natural convection, we also offer the Memmert UF450 universal oven, the structurally identical large forced air circulation version with an electronically controllable air turbine. The UF450 actively distributes heat throughout the interior and reaches its working temperature range from as low as 10 °C above room temperature, which ensures shorter heating times for densely packed batches of varying sizes. The UN450 deliberately avoids this and instead starts operating from just 5 °C above room temperature, with no air movement inside the chamber; this is suitable for large quantities of material samples that are sensitive to dust or vibration. Both models share the same interior, housing and ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY, but differ in their ventilation principle and working temperature range.Safety according to DIN 12880 for long, unattended processesProcess safety is crucial, particularly for large-volume batches that often run overnight or for several days. The UN450 features adjustable electronic temperature monitoring plus a mechanical temperature limiter of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880, which switches off the heating when the temperature reaches approximately 20 °C above the maximum cabinet temperature. A self-diagnostic system assists with fault-finding, and 3 freely selectable temperature values can be calibrated. CE and EAC markings, as well as a UL test mark, are provided.Installation, operation and disposalThe same spacing requirements apply to the operation of the UN450 as for the smaller models: a minimum of 15 cm from the wall, a minimum of 20 cm from the ceiling and a minimum of 5 cm to the side, either from a wall or an adjacent unit. Given a net weight of around 161 kg and the three-phase power connection, the installation site should be fitted with a suitable heavy-current power connection prior to delivery. The unit may be installed at altitudes of up to 2,000 m above sea level, at ambient temperatures of 5 °C to 40 °C and with a maximum relative humidity of 80 %, non-condensing. Electrically, the UN450 is designed for overvoltage category II and pollution degree 2; it must only be transported in an upright position. As an electrical appliance, the UN450 is subject to the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act at the end of its service life and must not be disposed of with household waste.Typical applicationsWith an internal volume of 449 litres, up to 8 shelves and a load capacity of up to 300 kg, the Memmert UN450 universal oven is designed for high-throughput applications where headroom at the installation site is also limited.Large-volume drying and heat treatment batches in industry and researchRoutine tempering, ageing and baking of material samplesMaterial testing and quality assurance with high sample throughputVibration-free heat treatment of dust-sensitive materials on a large scaleInstallation sites with limited headroom where a UN750 will not fitInvestment rationale: shelves, access control and process monitoringThe UN450 is supplied with 2 electropolished stainless steel grid shelves as standard; the cabinet is designed to accommodate up to 8 shelves, each with a maximum load of 30 kg. Options for process monitoring include a 4–20 mA current interface, fan speed monitoring, an additional Pt100 sensor and SMS alerts; for controlled access, there is a lockable door with a security lock. Those requiring a gas-tight version with various pipe penetrations can also have this configured. In addition, we arrange base frames with levelling, as well as calibration, IQ/OQ/PQ services according to DIN 12880 and maintenance contracts, including DAkkS calibration on request.Frequently asked questions before purchaseWhy does the UN450 require three-phase power?A cabinet of this size requires significantly more heating power (around 5,800 W) than the smaller UN models; therefore, the UN450 is operated with 400 V three-phase power and 3 x 230 V without a neutral conductor, rather than a single-phase connection. How does the UN450 differ from the UF450?Both share the same interior, housing and control system; however, the UF450 also features an electronically controllable air turbine for active air circulation and starts its working temperature range at 10 °C rather than 5 °C above room temperature. How tall is the UN450 and will it fit under a standard ceiling? The external dimensions are 1,224 x 1,247 x 784 mm; with a height of 1,247 mm, the UN450 also fits into rooms where the taller UN750, at 1,720 mm, would no longer fit. What is the maximum load per shelf?Up to 30 kg per shelf, with a total load of up to 300 kg for the entire unit when fitted with a maximum of 8 shelves. What is the accuracy of the temperature control?Despite the three-phase power supply, the same accuracy applies across the range as for the smaller models: 0.1 °C up to 99.9 °C and 0.5 °C from 100 °C, measured using a DIN Class A Pt100 sensor with 4-wire technology. Is the UN450 suitable for long, unattended processes? The mechanical temperature limiter, of protection class 1 according to DIN 12880, switches off the heating element in the event of an overtemperature of approximately 20 °C and is designed for processes running overnight or over several days.Technical detailsSetting temperature range20 to 300 °CWorking temperature rangeat least 5 °C above room temperature up to 300 °CTemperature setting accuracyup to 99.9 °C: 0.1 °C, from 100 °C: 0.5 °CTemperature sensorPt100, DIN Class A, 4-wire measurementInternal volume449 lInternal dimensions (W x H x D)1,040 x 720 x 600 mmExternal dimensions of housing (W x H x D)1,224 x 1,247 x 784 mmNet weightapprox. 161 kgConnection400 V and 3 x 230 V without neutral conductor, 50/60 Hz, approx. 5,800 WMaximum number of shelves8Shelves included in the scope of delivery2Max. load capacity300 kgMax. load per shelf30 kgInterior materialStainless steel, 4-sided all-round heatingCasing materialTextured stainless steel, galvanised sheet steel rear panelControl systemControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY, PID microprocessor controller, TFT colour graphic displayTimer1 minute to 99 days, digital countdown timerPermissible ambient temperature5 °C to 40 °CPermissible relative humiditymax. 80 % rel., non-condensingMaximum installation height2,000 mMarkingsCE, EAC, UL test markScope of delivery1x Memmert UN450 universal ovenFactory calibration certificate (calibrated at 160 °C)Fully insulated stainless steel doors with 2-point locking (compression door lock)2x stainless steel grid shelves, electropolishedRegulatory informationThe Memmert UN450 universal oven is registered with the Stiftung Elektro-Altgeräte Register (Stiftung EAR) under WEEE registration number DE 66812464.Individual requirements & procurement serviceOptions available for the UN450 include a lockable door with a security lock, a gas-tight version with various pipe feed-throughs, and reinforced grid shelves and perforated sheets. Eppendorf Research plus single-channel pipette, variable, 100–1,000 µL, blue, 3123000063
The Eppendorf Research plus for 100 to 1,000 µL is a mechanical single-channel pipette with adjustable volume. The volume is selected in steps of 1 µL and read on the four-digit volume display. The colour code blue belongs to the matching tip, namely epT.I.P.S. 50 to 1,000 µL.Setting the volumeVolume selection, pipetting and tip ejection are handled by separate controls. The pipette works with an air cushion. The smallest adjustable step is 1 µL. Anyone who pipettes preparations in many different volumes manages with an adjustable-volume pipette and does not need a set of fixed-volume pipettes.Tips and colour codeAccording to Eppendorf, the colour of the pipette corresponds to the colour of the matching epT.I.P.S. Here, this is the colour code blue for epT.I.P.S. 50 to 1,000 µL. The colour code depends on the tip and not on the pipette volume. The pipette is an open system, and tips from other manufacturers are possible. However, the measurement deviations apply only with original epT.I.P.S.AdjustingThe pipette can be adjusted temporarily. 5 adjustment seals and an adjustment tool (hex key) are supplied for this purpose. Returning to the factory adjustment is possible without calibration.Typical applicationsTransferring reagents and samples into reaction vesselsPreparing dilution series with changing volumesAliquoting liquids in the range 100 to 1,000 µLMixing solutions by repeated aspiration and dispensingMethods in which the volume changes from preparation to preparationWhen choosing, it helps to look at the volume that occurs most often in daily work. If it is close to the nominal volume, the relative measurement deviation is smaller, as the table below shows.Autoclaving and resistanceThe entire pipette may go into the autoclave at 121 °C and 1 bar for 20 minutes. Disinfectants and decontamination agents are wiped off beforehand. Filter sleeve and protective filter, where present on the model, are autoclaved separately. The pipette is UV-resistant at 254 nm. According to Eppendorf, chemical resistance is high, and special lower parts are available for aggressive chemicals. The pipette is operated at +5 °C to +40 °C and 10 to 95 % relative humidity. For storage, Eppendorf specifies -5 °C to +45 °C.Technical detailsFeatureValueSeriesEppendorf Research plus, mechanicalTypeSingle-channel pipette, adjustable volumeVolume range100 to 1,000 µLStep size1 µLDisplayfour-digit volume displayColour codeblueMatching tipepT.I.P.S. 50 to 1,000 µLAutoclavablefully, 121 °C, 1 bar, 20 minutesUV resistance254 nmOperating conditions+5 °C to +40 °C, 10 to 95 % relative humidityStorage-5 °C to +45 °CStandardConformity with ISO 8655 according to EppendorfManufacturerEppendorfManufacturer number3123000063Measurement deviationsFor this pipette, Eppendorf specifies 3 test volumes. IKA T 25 digital LR disperser, for laboratory reactors, up to 2,000 ml, 0020008820
Anyone wishing to prepare emulsions, suspensions or nanoparticle formulations not in an open beaker but in a closed, temperature-controlled laboratory reactor will need a drive that can be integrated into this system. The IKA T 25 digital LR disperser (0020008820) is designed precisely for this purpose: a dedicated drive unit for high-speed dispersion in laboratory reactors, with a volume range of 1 to 2,000 millilitres (based on water) and a speed range of 600 to 25,000 revolutions per minute. Unlike a benchtop disperser for open beakers, it is designed from the outset for mechanical integration into closed reactor systems and is not intended as a stand-alone, ready-to-use laboratory instrument. Powerful drive with infinitely variable speed control The 800-watt motor (500 watts output power) covers a continuously and electronically adjustable speed range from 600 to 25,000 revolutions per minute, displayed via a digital LED display with a deviation of just 1 % from the set target speed. In combination with the appropriate IKA dispersing tools, high shear forces are generated in the narrow shear gap between the rotor and stator, which break down particles and droplets and homogenise liquid phases, the classic operating principle of rotor-stator dispersers. The maximum permissible viscosity of the medium is 5,000 mPa·s, a guideline value that must be taken into account when selecting the dispersing tool and controlling the process. Designed for installation in laboratory reactor systems Unlike free-standing bench-top dispersers, the T 25 digital LR is designed as a drive unit only, which can be mechanically coupled with the special dispersing tools of the KD-LR series. These tools are designed for use in closed laboratory reactors such as the IKA LR 1000 and, thanks to high-quality shaft seals, enable operation under vacuum, which is useful for preventing aerosol and foam formation in media containing surfactants or for processing oxidation-sensitive batches under an inert atmosphere. Neither the dispersing tool nor the reactor itself is included with the T 25 digital LR; both must be purchased separately to suit the specific application. Electronic overload protection and digital display An integrated microprocessor maintains the set speed even when the resistance of the medium changes, for example if the viscosity of a batch increases during the reaction. If the stirring tool becomes suddenly blocked, for example by a jammed particle, an electronic overload protection system switches off the motor and displays an error code; this protects both the motor and the coupled dispersing tool. The unit is designed for continuous operation with a permissible duty cycle of 100 %. Compact design for mounting on a reactor stand Measuring 87 x 271 x 106 millimetres and weighing 2.5 kilograms, the T 25 digital LR can be mounted on a reactor stand to save space. The noise level without the dispersing tool fitted is 75 dB(A). The housing is rated to degree of protection IP 20 and approved for an ambient temperature of 5 to 40 °C. It can be connected to either 220 to 240 volts or 100 to 120 volts at 50 or 60 hertz. Selecting the appropriate dispersing tool Which KD-LR tool is suitable in each individual case depends on the reactor volume, the desired immersion depth and the viscosity range of the medium. The tools in this series feature an extended design so that, even in larger reaction vessels, they reach right down to the bottom of the vessel and continue to disperse effectively there, rather than leaving dead volume unused. As the T 25 digital LR is designed as a drive for different reactor sizes and tool variants, the same drive can often continue to be used when process requirements change, whilst only the dispersing tool is replaced. Typical applications As a drive unit for laboratory reactors, the T 25 digital LR is used wherever dispersion processes must take place under controlled, closed conditions: Production of emulsions and creams under air-exclusion conditions in closed reactors Dispersion and homogenisation of suspensions with controlled temperature regulation Scale-up trials between open beaker stirring and pilot reactors Production of finely dispersed systems with limited sample volumes from 1 millilitre Process development in the pharmaceutical and fine chemicals industries with requirements for reproducibility Technical details Product typeDrive unit for dispersing tools in laboratory reactors Volume range (H₂O)1 to 2,000 ml Motor power (input / output)800 W / 500 W Speed range600 to 25,000 rpm, electronically continuously adjustable Speed deviation1 % Speed displayLED display Maximum permissible viscosity of the medium5,000 mPa·s Noise level (without dispersing tool)75 dB(A) Permissible duty cycle100 % (continuous operation) Motor protectionElectronic overload protection with error code display Dimensions (W x H x D)87 x 271 x 106 mm Arm length / Arm diameter160 mm / 13 mm Weight2.5 kg Protection class (to DIN EN 60529)IP 20 Permissible ambient temperature5 to 40 °C Power supply220 to 240 V or 100 to 120 V, 50/60 Hz Scope of delivery 1 x IKA T 25 digital LR drive unit 1 x IEC mains cable 1 x operating instructions Not included are the required dispersing tool from the KD-LR series, the laboratory reactor itself, and a stand for mounting the drive unit. These components must be procured separately to suit the specific application. Individual requirements & procurement service As the T 25 digital LR is designed purely as a drive unit, you will also need a suitable dispersing tool from the KD-LR series and a stand solution to secure the drive in order to operate it on your laboratory reactor. Through our procurement service, we can assist you in selecting the appropriate dispersing tool for your specific application, as well as stand materials, spare parts and accessories for integration into existing reactor systems. Further information and contact details can be found at our procurement service.
IKA C-MAG HS 7 control Magnetic Stirrer with Heating, LCD Display, 20 Litre, 0020002694
As soon as a stirring and heating process is no longer to be carried out merely as a secondary task, but must be documented in a traceable manner, controlled via an interface or regulated based on a temperature measured within the medium, a simple analogue dial reaches its limits. The IKA C-MAG HS 7 control (0020002694) features an LCD display for setpoint and actual values, RS232 and USB interfaces, and a stirring capacity of up to 20 litres; it was awarded the reddot award in 2017. Digital display and interfaces for documented processes Speed and temperature are each displayed on an LCD screen as setpoint and actual values; the display resolution for temperature is 1 Kelvin. The unit can be connected to a control system via the RS232 interface and the USB-B port; the Labworldsoft laboratory equipment software is listed in the range of accessories for this purpose. For laboratory environments with traceability requirements, this is a difference that goes beyond mere usability. Stirring up to 20 litres with automatic direction reversal The speed range extends from 50 to 1,500 revolutions per minute with a deviation of just ±2 % (no load, rated voltage, at 1,500 rpm and 25 °C) and a setting accuracy of 10 revolutions per minute. Automatic direction reversal and interval operation are available, as is viscosity trend measurement, which allows changes in the medium’s viscosity to be monitored during the process. Stirring rods ranging from 30 to 80 millimetres in length can be used; the maximum load on the base is 25 kilograms. Precise temperature control directly within the medium The scope of delivery includes a PT 1000.60 stainless steel temperature sensor; ETS-D5 and ETS-D6 contact thermometers can also be connected. The temperature control accuracy within the medium is ±0.5 Kelvin with the PT1000 probe and as high as ±0.2 Kelvin with the ETS-D6 (measured in each case with 500 ml of water, a 40 mm stirring rod, 600 rpm, 50 °C). A ‘sensor-in-medium’ detection function indicates when the temperature sensor is actually immersed, thereby contributing to process reliability. Typical applications With its digital display, interfaces and precise medium temperature control, the C-MAG HS 7 control is technically suitable for: Syntheses and reactions requiring documented temperature control within the medium Processes with a defined reaction endpoint requiring an accuracy of ±0.5 K or better Stirring processes up to 20 litres with varying viscosity, monitored via viscosity trend measurement Automated or software-controlled laboratory workstations via RS232/USB Quality control with auditable time and temperature profiles Selection guide within the C-MAG series Within the C-MAG family, the ‘control’ version offers the highest level of specification, sitting between a simple analogue dial and a pure heating plate: ModelStirringStirring capacity (H₂O)Heating powerOperation C-MAG HS 7 control (this unit)Yes, 50 to 1,500 rpm20 l1,000 WLCD, PT1000/ETS-D5/ETS-D6, RS232, USB C-MAG HS 7Yes, 100 to 1,500 rpm10 l1,000 WAnalogue scale, LED setpoint temperature C-MAG HS 10Yes, 100 to 1,500 rpm15 l1,500 WAnalogue scale, LED setpoint temperature, plate 260 x 260 mm C-MAG HP 7No, heating plate only10 l1,000 WAnalogue scale, LED setpoint temperature If you do not require the interfaces or precise media temperature control, the C-MAG HS 7 or the C-MAG HS 10 offer a more cost-effective solution. If you already know that processes are to be documented or controlled via software, opting for the ‘control’ version will save you the expense of retrofitting at a later date. Differences from comparable IKA stirrers Compared to the simpler IKA C-MAG HS 7, the ‘control’ version offers an additional LCD display, interfaces and a larger 20-litre stirring capacity. The IKA C-MAG HS 10 retains analogue operation but features a larger 260 x 260 millimetre plate for higher heating power. At the single-station level, with comparable digital capabilities, the IKA Plate (RCT digital) with an LCD display and aluminium base, and the RET control-visc white with an additional weighing function are also available, each with its own specific focus. The temperature of the base surface rises by up to 2 Kelvin during one hour of continuous stirring; this must be taken into account when reading the actual hotplate temperature. The safety circuit can be freely adjusted between 100 and 650 °C and thus adapted to the specific process, rather than being fixed as with simpler models. Before carrying out maintenance work or cleaning the ceramic surface, the unit should be allowed to cool down and disconnected from the mains. At the end of its service life, the device, as an electrical appliance, must be disposed of separately from household waste via the waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) collection scheme; the manufacturer’s WEEE registration number is DE 66784213. Investment rationale: When does the control version pay off? The additional cost compared with the analogue C-MAG HS 7 is particularly worthwhile if temperature profiles need to be documented, read out via RS232 or USB, or controlled within the medium with an accuracy of ±0.5 Kelvin or better. For simple, non-critical heating and stirring processes without a documentation requirement, the additional features are often unnecessary; in such cases, the C-MAG HS 7 or the C-MAG HS 10 with greater heating power is sufficient. If you regularly switch between several workstations using standardised, software-supported process control, the ‘control’ variant pays for itself through the time saved on documentation and calibration. Individual requirements and procurement service Additional original accessories are available for the C-MAG HS 7 control if required, such as ETS-D5 or ETS-D6 contact thermometers, support plates, reaction blocks and the Labworldsoft software. Through our procurement service, we also assist you with spare parts, calibrations and the standardisation of equipment across multiple workstations. Further information and contact details can be found on our procurement service page. Frequently Asked Questions What distinguishes the C-MAG HS 7 control from the standard C-MAG HS 7?The ‘control’ version features an LCD display for setpoint and actual values, RS232 and USB interfaces, automatic direction reversal, viscosity trend measurement and a larger stirring capacity of 20 litres instead of 10 litres. Is a temperature sensor included in the scope of delivery?Yes, the C-MAG HS 7 control comes as part of the scope of delivery with a PT 1000.60 stainless steel temperature sensor. ETS-D5 and ETS-D6 sensors fit the same connection but are available separately. How accurately can the temperature in the medium be controlled? With the supplied PT1000 probe, to within ±0.5 Kelvin; with an optional ETS-D6 probe, to within ±0.2 Kelvin, in each case under the defined measurement conditions specified in the data sheet. Can the safety circuit be adapted to the specific process?Yes, the safety circuit is freely adjustable between 100 and 650 °C, rather than being fixed as in simpler models. Can the device be controlled via software? The RS232 and USB interfaces allow connection to the Labworldsoft software listed in the IKA range of accessories; this enables stirring and heating parameters to be logged centrally rather than being read manually from the device. How should the C-MAG HS 7 control be disposed of correctly? As an electrical appliance, it should be taken to a waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) collection point rather than disposed of with household waste; the manufacturer’s WEEE registration number is listed in the section on ‘Use, installation, maintenance and disposal’.
Heidolph Hei-PLATE Sensor Basic Package Core+ Magnetic Stirrer Set, Ø145 mm, with Pt1000 Probe, 506-21150-00
A digital display on the hotplate and an external temperature probe in the vessel are, for many laboratories, the first step towards traceable temperature control. The Sensor Basic Package Core+ combines the Hei-PLATE Mix'n'Heat Core+ digital magnetic stirrer, with a footprint of 145 millimetres, with an external Pt1000 temperature probe, whilst remaining a basic configuration without a mounting bracket or silicone cover.LCD display and two heating modesThe Hei-PLATE Mix'n'Heat Core+ included in the pack displays speed and temperature on an LCD screen; the dynamic control knobs respond to the speed of hand movement, slow for fine adjustment, fast for larger increments. There are two heating modes to choose from: FAST for rapid heating and PRECISE for control without overshoot. The included Pt1000 temperature probe (V4A, order number 509-67910-00) measures the temperature directly within the medium rather than just on the heating plate, with an accuracy of ±0.2 Kelvin plus the tolerance of the Pt1000 sensor and a resolution of 1 Kelvin. In conjunction with the probe, the magnetic stirrer covers a display and measurement range from 15 to 325 °C.Why the temperature in the medium mattersWithout an external probe, a heating plate only controls the temperature of its own surface, not that of the liquid in the vessel. For buffers, solutions or reaction mixtures with a defined target temperature, this makes a difference, particularly when the volume or shape of the vessel changes. The Pt1000 probe is immersed in the medium and provides the control system with the actual value. This allows the set temperature to be reproduced independently of the vessel.Typical applicationsBuffer and solution preparations with a fixed target temperature in the vesselReaction mixtures where the temperature is to be monitored directly inside the flaskFirst steps towards documented temperature control without additional accessoriesUpgrading an existing Core+ magnetic stirrer with an external sensorSelection guide: Basic or AdvancedIf you wish to secure the sensor permanently and protect the work surface between uses, you’ll find the right equipment in the Sensor Advanced Package Core+, which includes an additional mount and silicone cover. For reflux set-ups with a condenser, there are the dedicated Core+ and Core+ Mini reflux packages. If you do not require an LCD display and are happy with the simpler rotary knob operation, the Sensor Advanced Package Core offers the analogue alternative.Technical detailsDimensions (W x H x D)168 x 101 x 299 mmHeating plate footprintØ 145 mmWeightapprox. 3 kgMaximum permissible load25 kgDriveEC motor, counter-clockwise rotationSpeed range100 to 1,400 rpmHeating power800 W at 230 V (EU), 600 W at 115 V (US)Heating temperature range20 to 300 °CHeating controlPIDDisplayLCD displayTemperature measurement accuracy±0.2 K plus Pt1000 toleranceTemperature measurement resolution1 KDisplay and measurement range with Pt100015 to 325 °CDegree of protection (EN 60529)IP42Sound pressure levelless than 50 dB(A)Rated voltage230 V, 50/60 Hz (EU), 115 V, 50/60 Hz (US)Power consumptionNormal operation 825 W (EU) / 625 W (US), standby 1.7 WScope of deliveryHei-PLATE Mix'n'Heat Core+ magnetic stirrer, 145 mm base area, order number 506-21100-00Pt1000 temperature sensor (V4A), order number 509-67910-00The mounting bracket and silicone cover are not included with this order number; they are part of the more comprehensive Sensor Advanced package.Regulatory informationThe devices in this package are electrical appliances within the meaning of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG). The 91-cm version with an outlet elbow is the most powerful variant of the Bürkle stainless steel drum pump. With a delivery rate of 540 ml per stroke and an immersion depth suitable for drums up to approx. 220 l, it covers standard 200-litre drums. Delivery rate540 ml/stroke Max. immersion depth91 cm Outer diameter of outlet12 mm Length of outlet elbow290 mm ConnectionFor openings from 32 mm, drum screw connection For containers up toapprox. 220 l Anyone who needs to safely transfer flammable or corrosive liquids from a drum or canister requires more than just a simple hand pump. The Bürkle stainless steel drum pump is a hand-operated reciprocating piston pump based on the overpressure principle, which has been developed specifically for this purpose. Thanks to its electrical conductivity and DEKRA-tested suitability for Ex zones 0, 1 and 2, it can also be used in areas where highly flammable vapours are likely to be present, such as when decanting solvents or other flammable chemicals in workshops, laboratories and production facilities. DEKRA-tested for Ex zones 0, 1 and 2 The drum pump was specially developed for use in Ex zones 0, 1 and 2 and is DEKRA-tested for explosion groups IIA and IIB. Thanks to the electrical conductivity of all parts in contact with the medium, it is suitable for highly flammable and combustible liquids. Important for safe operation: When handling flammable or highly flammable liquids, all parts of the pump must be earthed, for example using an anti-static kit. The pump is not suitable for acetone or similar dehydrating solvents. Material: 1.4301 stainless steel with PTFE seals All parts in contact with the medium are made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel 1.4301 (V2A), which promises a long service life even in damp or aggressive environments. The PTFE seals also ensure high chemical resistance and good sliding properties during pumping, so that the pump remains smooth-running even after prolonged use. Two versions: outlet elbow or hose with tap The Bürkle stainless steel drum pump is available in two versions. The version with an outlet elbow (length 290 mm, outlet outer diameter 12 mm) is suitable for direct filling into a container placed underneath. The version with an outlet hose and tap (hose length 1.2 m, outlet outer diameter 12.8 mm) allows for metered, controlled dispensing thanks to the shut-off tap, even when the receiving vessel is not positioned directly beneath the pump. The outlet elbow and outlet hose can also be swapped, making the pump versatile for a range of filling situations. What immersion depth for which container? The immersion depth is infinitely adjustable and available in three lengths, so that the suitable Bürkle stainless steel drum pump can be found for almost any container: 36 cm immersion depth: for containers up to approx. 30 l 57 cm immersion depth: for containers up to approx. 60 l 91 cm immersion depth: for containers up to approx. 220 l, such as standard drums The 91 cm version with an outlet elbow covers standard 200-litre drums with its immersion depth. Flow rate and viscosity Depending on the selected immersion depth, the pump delivers between 190 and 540 ml per stroke, which corresponds to a flow rate of 9 to 22 l/min across the entire range. The immersion tube has a consistent diameter of 32 mm, and the pump handles fluids with a viscosity of up to 500 mPa·s. Robust all-rounder offering good value for money Stainless steel drum pumps are versatile and suitable for a wide variety of drums, containers and other vessels. Compared to conventional solvent pumps for highly flammable liquids, Bürkle’s stainless steel drum pumps offer good value for money. The robust construction from high-quality, corrosion-resistant 1.4301 stainless steel ensures a long service life, particularly in damp or corrosive environments. Typical applications Decanting flammable or corrosive liquids and chemicals from drums, canisters and other containers Use in workshops, laboratories and production facilities Filling in Ex zones 0, 1 and 2, provided the pump is earthed in accordance with regulations Choice of immersion depth to suit the container size, from small 30-litre canisters up to 220-litre drums Handling and cleaning To operate, screw on the outlet elbow or hose, insert the pump with the drum screw connection into the drum opening and screw it in hand-tight. After removing the cap, the liquid can be pumped out using the handle on the piston rod. During the final pumping stroke, push the piston rod in as far as it will go before carefully unscrewing the pump from the drum. After use, the drum pump should be rinsed with a pH-neutral liquid.
