The BINDER FP 115: Programmable precision for demanding drying applications

The BINDER FP 115 (MPN 9010-0364) is far more than just a simple drying oven. As part of the modern Avantgarde.Line, this forced-air heating chamber is specially designed for complex stress and material tests where temperature profiles must be followed precisely. With a capacity of 116 litres and powerful forced convection (circulating air), it offers short drying times and an extremely fast heating rate. This 230 V model is the standard for European laboratories and impresses with its energy efficiency and state-of-the-art communication technology.

APT.line™ technology for perfect temperature distribution

With the FP 115, too, BINDER relies on its patented APT.line™ preheating chamber technology. Unlike conventional ovens, where heating coils often radiate heat unevenly, the air is preconditioned in a separate chamber and then flows evenly into the interior from both sides.

  • Homogeneity: No matter how full the chamber is, the temperature is virtually identical at every point.
  • Fast recovery times: Thanks to the powerful forced-air circulation, the unit returns to the set temperature in a flash after the door is opened.
  • Precision up to 300 °C: The wide temperature range (10 °C above room temperature up to 300 °C) makes it an all-rounder for material testing and ageing tests.

Intelligent control: ramping and programming

The highlight of the FP series is the controller. Whilst simple ovens often only have an ‘On/Off’ function and a single temperature setting, the FP 115 allows you to programme complex temperature-time profiles (ramps).

  • Time-interval and real-time programming: Define heating phases, dwell times and cooling curves precisely in accordance with your test standards.
  • Adjustable fan speed: Control the intensity of the forced air circulation. Reduce it for fine powders to prevent turbulence, or increase it for maximum drying performance with damp materials.
  • LCD display: All parameters (temperature, fan, damper position) are clearly shown on the large display.

Safety and connectivity

The BINDER FP 115 offers safety features of the highest standard:

  • Integrated temperature protection: A Class 2 temperature selector limiter and a Class 3.1 temperature selector monitor (DIN 12880) with visual and audible alarms reliably protect your samples and the laboratory from overheating.
  • Data acquisition: You can easily transfer measurement data to a USB stick via the integrated USB interface. An Ethernet interface also allows integration into networks (with the optional APT-COM™ software).

The Avantgarde.Line’s housing impresses with its clean lines and high functionality. The ergonomic door handle is easy to operate even with full hands. The interior, made of high-quality stainless steel, is easy to clean, and the shelves can be positioned flexibly.
