Memmert SF260 Hot-Air Steriliser, 256 L, Class IIb medical device
Reliable sterilisation for hospitals, medical practices and laboratories The Memmert SF260 hot-air steriliser is a Class IIb medical device (in accordance with MDD 93/42/EEC) designed for the sterilisation of medical materials using dry heat at atmospheric pressure. With an internal capacity of 256 litres and a temperature range of +20 °C to +250 °C, the unit is suitable for hospitals, medical practices and laboratories that need to sterilise large quantities of instruments and containers reliably and with full documentation. Precise temperature control with SetpointWAIT A Pt100 sensor using the 4-wire measurement method (DIN Class A) measures the temperature with an accuracy of ±0.1 °C up to 99.9 °C and ±0.5 °C from 100 °C onwards. The SetpointWAIT function only starts the sterilisation time once the setpoint temperature has actually been reached – ensuring validatable, reproducible cycles. An electronically controlled turbine circulates the air in adjustable 10 per cent increments, whilst electronically controlled fresh air and exhaust air dampers ensure controlled air exchange. Robust construction and safety The interior is made of stainless steel with deep-drawn ribbing and is heated on all four sides; the fully insulated stainless steel door locks via a two-point compression lock. For safety, the unit monitors the temperature electronically and additionally via a mechanical temperature limiter (DIN 12880 Class 1), which triggers at around 20 °C above the maximum temperature. An integrated self-diagnostic system automatically detects faults. Operation, interfaces and documentation The SF260 is controlled via the ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY: an adaptive digital PID microprocessor controller with a high-resolution TFT colour graphic display and a digital timer (1 minute to 99 days). Log data can be read out and archived via the Ethernet interface or using a USB stick with AtmoCOCKPIT software – the programme sequence remains stored even after a power cut. This significantly simplifies documentation for quality management. Memmert SF750plus hot-air steriliser, 749 l, +250 °C, TwinDISPLAY, medical device
Maximum capacity for absolute safety: Memmert SF750plus hot-air steriliser The Memmert SF750plus (MPN SF750plus) is a giant amongst sterilisers. With an impressive internal volume of 749 litres, it offers ample space for the reprocessing of medical instruments, glassware or heat-resistant materials in hospitals, large laboratories and industry. As a Class IIb medical device (in accordance with MDD 93/42/EEC until 26 May 2024; thereafter, please note MDR compliance), this unit meets the most stringent regulatory requirements for hot-air sterilisation. Where other units reach their capacity limits, the SF750plus is only just getting started – and without compromising on temperature accuracy. Safety comes first: the SetpointWAIT function In sterilisation, time and temperature are everything. A critical flaw in conventional units is that the process time (sterilisation time) often begins as soon as the air inside the chamber has reached the setpoint temperature – yet the items being sterilised may still be cooler at that point. The SF750plus eliminates this risk with the SetpointWAIT function. The programme sequence only continues once the setpoint temperature has been reached within a very narrow tolerance range at all measurement points (or, optionally, at a PT100 sensor directly on the items being sterilised). This guarantees that the prescribed hold time (e.g. 180 °C for 30 minutes in accordance with DIN) is adhered to precisely. Here, ‘validatable safety’ is not just a buzzword, but a technical reality. TwinDISPLAY: High-end control system for complex processes As a model in the “plus” series, the SF750plus is equipped with the intuitive ControlCOCKPIT featuring TwinDISPLAY. Two high-resolution TFT touchscreens give you full control and a clear overview. Intuitive operation: Temperature, fan speed, air damper position and programme time can be adjusted using touch drag-and-drop. HeatBALANCE: A unique selling point of the Plus models. Heat distribution is particularly critical with such a large capacity of 749 litres. With HeatBALANCE, you can individually adjust the heating output between the upper and lower heating elements to physically compensate for temperature-related differences (heat rises). Monitoring: Both displays show setpoint and actual values, as well as the status of the safety devices. Forced Air Circulation: The ‘F’ factor The ‘F’ in the model name SF750plus stands for ‘Forced Air Circulation’. A quiet yet powerful fan continuously circulates the hot air within the chamber. In a unit of this size, this is essential to prevent ‘cold spots’ and ensure uniform temperature distribution right into the furthest corners. The fan speed is adjustable in 10 per cent increments, allowing the airflow to be adapted to sensitive contents (e.g. powders that must not be stirred up). Stainless steel: Hygienic, robust, durable Memmert is renowned for its unique textured stainless steel. Both the outer casing and the interior are made of high-quality, rust-proof stainless steel (grade 1.4301). Scratch-resistant: The textured surface is resistant to signs of wear and fingerprints. Hygienic: The interior is manufactured with deep-drawn ribs. This means: no sharp edges, no hard-to-clean corners and an integrated, tilt-proof guide for the wire shelves. Corrosion-resistant: Ideal for daily use with disinfectants and high temperatures. Connectivity and documentation The SF750plus offers state-of-the-art interfaces for the comprehensive documentation of sterilisation processes – a fundamental requirement in a medical environment. USB port: On the ControlCOCKPIT, process data (logger) can be transferred directly to a USB stick or programmes can be uploaded. Ethernet interface: Integrate the device into your network to monitor it via the AtmoCONTROL . User ID: The optional User ID function (on a USB stick) prevents unauthorised tampering with the sterilisation programme. Memmert SF55plus Hot-Air Steriliser, 53 L, TwinDISPLAY – Class IIb medical device
The Memmert SF55plus hot-air steriliser is a Class IIb medical device (in accordance with MDD 93/42/EEC, transitional provisions until 31 December 2028 pursuant to (EU) 2023/607) designed for the sterilisation of medical materials using dry heat at atmospheric pressure. With an internal chamber volume of 53 litres and a temperature setting range of +20 to +250 °C, the unit is suitable for everyday use in medical practices and laboratories with a regular, moderate throughput. Precise temperature control with SetpointWAIT and HeatBALANCE Two Pt100 sensors provide redundant temperature measurement using the 4-wire measurement method (DIN Class A) with an accuracy of ±0.1 °C up to 99.9 °C and ±0.5 °C from 100 °C onwards: if one sensor fails, the second takes over automatically – ensuring additional process reliability. The SetpointWAIT function only starts the sterilisation time once the setpoint temperature has actually been reached. By adjusting the heat output distribution between the upper and lower heating groups from -50% to +50%, the heat output distribution can be adapted to suit different load configurations. The air turbine is electronically controlled, adjustable in 10% increments, low-noise and segment-specific; in addition, electronically controlled fresh air and exhaust air dampers ensure controlled air exchange. Robust construction and enhanced safety The interior is made of stainless steel with deep-drawn ribbing and is heated on all four sides; the fully insulated stainless steel door locks via a two-point compression latch. For safety, a mechanical temperature limiter (DIN 12880 Class 1) monitors the unit, triggering at around 20 °C above the maximum temperature – this can also be selected as a temperature selector monitor (Protection Class 3.1) or a temperature selector limiter (Protection Class 2) directly on the display. The additional AutoSAFETY function automatically monitors for over- and under-temperature conditions at a freely selectable deviation from the setpoint and triggers a visual and audible alarm in the event of a deviation. An integrated self-diagnostic system automatically detects faults. Operation, interfaces and documentation The SF55plus is controlled via the ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY: an adaptive digital PID microprocessor controller with two high-resolution TFT colour graphic displays and a digital timer (1 min to 99 days). Programmes can be programmed, managed and transferred via the Ethernet interface or via USB using the AtmoCONTROL software – the programme sequence remains stored even after a power cut. Memmert SN30plus Hot-Air Steriliser, 32 L, Natural Convection, TwinDISPLAY – Class IIb medical device
The Memmert SN30plus hot-air steriliser sterilises medical materials using dry heat at atmospheric pressure – as a Class IIb medical device (in accordance with MDD 93/42/EEC), it is suitable for small practice laboratories, dental and medical practices, as well as school and training laboratories. With an internal capacity of 32 litres and a temperature range of +20 °C to +250 °C, the unit is particularly suitable when only a few instruments or small quantities of powders and granules need to be sterilised and worktop space is limited. The combination of certified medical device classification and a validatable sterilisation process supports the requirements for traceability and documentation, as is standard in the quality management systems of medical practices, clinics and laboratories. Natural convection instead of forced air circulation Unlike the Memmert SF series, the SN30plus operates using natural ventilation rather than an electronically controlled recirculation fan. Preheated fresh air is introduced via an electronically adjustable exhaust air damper, whilst an exhaust air outlet with an adjustable throttle valve ensures controlled air exchange – entirely without any active air movement inside the chamber. This makes the SN series the preferred choice wherever powders, granules or light, exposed instruments could be stirred up or contaminated by a forced air flow. Precise temperature control with SetpointWAIT The TwinDISPLAY version SN30plus provides additional safeguards for this process: two independent Pt100 sensors using a 4-wire measurement method monitor the temperature in a redundant configuration – if one sensor fails, the second seamlessly takes over control. The SetpointWAIT function only starts the sterilisation time once the setpoint temperature has actually been reached – ensuring validatable, reproducible cycles, as required for quality management documentation in dental and clinical hygiene, as well as in microbiological and pharmaceutical laboratories. Safety and Features Electronic temperature monitoring plus mechanical temperature limiter, protection class 1 (DIN 12880) Self-diagnostic system for fault detection, visual and audible alarms AutoSAFETY: additional integrated over- and under-temperature monitoring Controller: TwinDISPLAY, adaptive multifunctional digital PID microprocessor controller with high-resolution TFT colour graphic display Digital countdown timer with target time setting, adjustable from 1 minute to 99 days Operation, interfaces and documentation Programmes can be managed and log data from the data logger read out and archived via the Ethernet interface or, optionally, via a USB stick using the AtmoCONTROL software – the programme sequence remains stored even after a power cut. This significantly facilitates comprehensive documentation in quality management, a criterion that is particularly important for validatable sterilisation processes in hospitals and laboratories. The built-in self-diagnostic system reports faults at an early stage via visual and audible alarms, so that deviations from the target process are not only noticed at the end of a sterilisation cycle, but can be detected and documented immediately. Typical areas of application Sterilisation of instruments in medical practices and hospital hygiene Sterilisation of powders, granules and bulk materials without air movement inside the chamber Reprocessing of laboratory glassware and open vessels in microbiological and pharmaceutical laboratories Validatable, documented sterilisation cycles for quality management This enables a small batch of instruments to be sterilised reliably and with full traceability in a single operation as part of day-to-day practice, without sensitive items being displaced by air flow. Memmert SF75 Hot-Air Steriliser, 74 L, Class IIb medical device
The Memmert SF75 hot-air steriliser is a Class IIb medical device (in accordance with MDD 93/42/EEC, transitional provisions until 31 December 2028 pursuant to (EU) 2023/607) designed for the sterilisation of medical materials using dry heat at atmospheric pressure. With an internal chamber volume of 74 litres and a temperature setting range of +20 to +250 °C, the unit is suitable for everyday use in medical practices and laboratories with a regular, moderate throughput. Precise temperature control with SetpointWAIT A 1 Pt100 DIN Class A sensor in a 4-wire configuration measures the temperature with an accuracy of ±0.1 °C up to 99.9 °C and ±0.5 °C from 100 °C onwards. The SetpointWAIT function only starts the sterilisation time once the setpoint temperature has actually been reached – ensuring validatable, reproducible cycles. The air turbine is electronically controlled, adjustable in 10 % increments and low-noise; in addition, electronically controlled fresh air and exhaust air dampers ensure controlled air exchange. Robust construction and safety The interior is made of stainless steel with deep-drawn ribbing and is heated on all four sides; the fully insulated stainless steel door locks via a 2-point compression lock. For safety, the unit monitors the temperature electronically and additionally via a mechanical temperature limiter (DIN 12880 Class 1), which triggers at around 20 °C above the maximum temperature. An integrated self-diagnostic system automatically detects faults. Operation, interfaces and documentation The SF75 is controlled via the ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY: an adaptive digital PID microprocessor controller with a high-resolution TFT colour graphic display and a digital timer (1 min to 99 days). Log data can be read out, managed and organised via the Ethernet interface (a time-limited trial version is available for download); a USB stick containing the AtmoCONTROL software is available as an accessory on request. The programme sequence remains stored even after a power cut – this significantly simplifies documentation for quality management. Memmert SN160plus Hot-Air Steriliser, 161 L, Natural Convection, TwinDISPLAY – Class IIb medical device
The Memmert SN160plus hot-air steriliser sterilises medical materials using dry heat at atmospheric pressure – as a Class IIb medical device (in accordance with MDD 93/42/EEC), it is suitable for hospital laboratories, microbiological and pharmaceutical laboratories, as well as larger medical practices with regular sterilisation requirements. With an internal capacity of 161 litres and a temperature range of +20 °C to +250 °C, the unit is particularly suitable for the reliable sterilisation of multiple batches of instruments, vessels or powders during day-to-day practice or laboratory operations. The combination of certified medical device classification and a validatable sterilisation process supports the traceability and documentation requirements that are standard in the quality management systems of medical practices, hospitals and laboratories. Natural convection instead of forced air circulation Unlike the Memmert SF series, the SN160plus operates using natural ventilation rather than an electronically controlled recirculation fan. Precise temperature control with SetpointWAIT The TwinDISPLAY version, the SN160plus, provides additional safeguards for this process: two independent Pt100 sensors using a 4-wire measurement method monitor the temperature in a redundant configuration – if one sensor fails, the second seamlessly takes over control. The SetpointWAIT function only starts the sterilisation time once the setpoint temperature has actually been reached – ensuring validatable, reproducible cycles, as required for quality management documentation in dental and clinical hygiene, as well as in microbiological and pharmaceutical laboratories. Safety and Features Electronic temperature monitoring plus mechanical temperature limiter, protection class 1 (DIN 12880) Self-diagnostic system for fault detection, visual and audible alarms AutoSAFETY: additional integrated over- and under-temperature monitoring HeatBALANCE: heating power distribution individually adjustable from -50% to +50% Controller: TwinDISPLAY, adaptive multifunctional digital PID microprocessor controller with high-resolution TFT colour graphic display Digital countdown timer with target time setting, adjustable from 1 minute to 99 days Operation, interfaces and documentation Programmes can be managed and logger data read out and archived via the Ethernet interface or, optionally, via a USB stick using the AtmoCONTROL software – the programme sequence remains stored even after a power cut. Memmert SN55 Hot-Air Steriliser (53 l, natural convection), up to +250 °C
The Memmert SN55 is a hot-air steriliser classified as a Class IIb medical device, which has been specially developed for the safe sterilisation of medical instruments and containers using dry heat. Unlike models with forced air circulation, the SN55 (S=Steriliser, N=Natural convection) operates using natural convection. The absence of a fan eliminates the risk of fine particles or germs being dispersed throughout the interior by air turbulence – a crucial factor when handling critical loads. Validatable process reliability The most critical parameter in sterilisation is not the duration of the programme, but the dwell time at the setpoint temperature. The SN55 features the essential SetpointWAIT function: the process time only begins to run once the setpoint temperature has actually been reached at all measurement points inside the chamber. This prevents the heating phase from being incorrectly counted as sterilisation time and guarantees the reproducibility of cycles in accordance with medical standards. Hygienic Design & Heating Concept The interior is made of deep-drawn, stainless steel (grade 1.4301) and is particularly easy to clean thanks to its large radii. Memmert employs all-round heating: the heating elements are protected within fins on all four sides of the interior. This ensures excellent temperature uniformity and direct heat transfer to the items being sterilised, even without a fan. The unit is controlled via the intuitive “SingleDISPLAY” (TFT colour graphic display), which precisely regulates parameters such as temperature and flap position. The Memmert SN160 hot-air steriliser sterilises medical materials using dry heat at atmospheric pressure – as a Class IIb medical device (in accordance with MDD 93/42/EEC), it is suitable for hospital laboratories, microbiological and pharmaceutical laboratories, as well as larger medical practices with regular sterilisation requirements. With an internal capacity of 161 litres and a temperature range of +20 °C to +250 °C, the unit is particularly suitable for the reliable sterilisation of multiple batches of instruments, vessels or powders during ongoing practice or laboratory operations. The combination of certified medical device classification and a validatable sterilisation process supports the requirements for traceability and documentation that are standard in the quality management systems of medical practices, hospitals and laboratories. Natural convection instead of forced air circulation Unlike the Memmert SF series, the SN160 operates using natural ventilation rather than an electronically controlled recirculation fan. Preheated fresh air is introduced via an electronically adjustable exhaust air flap, whilst an exhaust air outlet with an adjustable damper ensures controlled air exchange – entirely without any active air movement inside the chamber. This makes the SN series the preferred choice wherever powders, granules or light, exposed instruments could be stirred up or contaminated by a forced air flow. Precise temperature control with SetpointWAIT The SN160 measures temperature via a Pt100 sensor using the 4-wire measurement method (DIN Class A) with an accuracy of ±0.1 °C up to 99.9 °C and ±0.5 °C from 100 °C onwards. The SetpointWAIT function only starts the sterilisation time once the setpoint temperature has actually been reached – ensuring validatable, reproducible cycles, as required for quality management documentation in practice and clinical hygiene, as well as in microbiological and pharmaceutical laboratories. Safety and Features Electronic temperature monitoring plus mechanical temperature limiter, protection class 1 (DIN 12880) Self-diagnostic system for fault detection, visual and audible alarms Controller: SingleDISPLAY, adaptive multifunctional digital PID microprocessor controller with high-resolution TFT colour graphic display Digital countdown timer with target time setting, adjustable from 1 minute to 99 days Operation, interfaces and documentation Programmes can be managed and log data from the data logger read out and archived via the Ethernet interface or, optionally, via a USB stick using the AtmoCONTROL software – the programme sequence remains stored even after a power cut. Typical areas of application Sterilisation of instruments in medical practices and hospital hygiene Sterilisation of powders, granules and bulk materials without air movement inside the chamber Reprocessing of laboratory glassware and open vessels in microbiological and pharmaceutical laboratories Validatable, documented sterilisation cycles in quality management This allows a large batch of instruments or vessels to be sterilised reliably and with full traceability in a single operation whilst the clinic or laboratory is in operation, without sensitive items being displaced by air flow. The Memmert SN110plus hot-air steriliser sterilises medical materials using dry heat at atmospheric pressure – as a Class IIb medical device (in accordance with MDD 93/42/EEC), it is suitable for hospital laboratories, microbiological and pharmaceutical laboratories, as well as larger medical practices with regular sterilisation requirements. With an internal capacity of 108 litres and a temperature range of +20 °C to +250 °C, the unit is particularly suitable for the reliable sterilisation of multiple batches of instruments, vessels or powders during day-to-day practice or laboratory operations. The combination of certified medical device classification and a validatable sterilisation process supports the requirements for traceability and documentation that are standard in the quality management systems of medical practices, hospitals and laboratories. Natural convection instead of forced air circulation Unlike the Memmert SF series, the SN110plus operates using natural ventilation rather than an electronically controlled recirculation fan. Precise temperature control with SetpointWAIT The TwinDISPLAY version SN110plus provides additional safeguards for this process: two independent Pt100 sensors using a 4-wire measurement method monitor the temperature in tandem – if one sensor fails, the second seamlessly takes over control. Typical areas of application Sterilisation of instruments in medical practices and hospital hygiene Sterilisation of powders, granules and bulk materials without air movement inside the chamber Reprocessing of laboratory glassware and open vessels in microbiological and pharmaceutical laboratories Validatable, documented sterilisation cycles in quality management This allows a large batch of instruments or vessels to be sterilised reliably and with full traceability in a single operation whilst clinical or laboratory work is ongoing, without sensitive items being displaced by air flow. Memmert SF75plus Hot-Air Steriliser, 74 L, TwinDISPLAY – Class IIb medical device
The Memmert SF75plus hot-air steriliser is a Class IIb medical device (in accordance with MDD 93/42/EEC, transitional provisions until 31 December 2028 pursuant to (EU) 2023/607) designed for the sterilisation of medical materials using dry heat at atmospheric pressure. With an internal chamber volume of 74 litres and a temperature setting range of +20 to +250 °C, the unit is suitable for everyday use in medical practices and laboratories with a regular, moderate throughput. Precise temperature control with SetpointWAIT and HeatBALANCE Two Pt100 sensors measure the temperature redundantly using the 4-wire measurement method (DIN Class A) with an accuracy of ±0.1 °C up to 99.9 °C and ±0.5 °C from 100 °C onwards: if one sensor fails, the second takes over automatically – ensuring additional process reliability. Robust construction and enhanced safety The interior is made of stainless steel with deep-drawn ribbing and is heated on all four sides; the fully insulated stainless steel door locks via a two-point compression lock. Operation, interfaces and documentation The SF75plus is controlled via the ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY: an adaptive digital PID microprocessor controller with two high-resolution TFT colour graphic displays and a digital timer (1 min to 99 days). Programmes can be programmed, managed and transferred via the Ethernet interface or via USB using the AtmoCONTROL software – the programme sequence remains stored even after a power cut. This significantly simplifies documentation for quality management.
