DURAN ® Borosilicate glass 3.3 – Maximum load-bearing capacity
The flasks are manufactured from high-quality borosilicate glass 3.3 in accordance with DIN EN ISO 24450. Mechanical and thermal stability are particularly crucial for a 2-litre volume. The glass is extremely resistant to chemical influences and thermal shock, meaning the vessels can be safely autoclaved (121 °C / 134 °C) or used on large hotplates. The wide-neck design also facilitates thorough cleaning after use.
Documented quality
The reinforced flanged rim protects the mouth from glass breakage and ensures stability. Each flask features a trace code, which allows for complete batch traceability right back to the production stage (certificate available online). The clearly legible scale, made from fired white ceramic, and the large labelling area support efficient laboratory organisation.
