The instruments in the Hei-TORQUE Ultimate range are Heidolph high-performance stirrers.

The Hei-TORQUE Ultimate 400 laboratory stirrer can powerfully stir viscosities of up to 250,000 mPas or volumes of up to 100 litres (H₂O). Thanks to its two-stage gearbox, it stirs with particular power in the speed range up to 400 rpm, making it particularly suitable for applications involving viscous media that require mixing at lower speeds. However, operation at speeds of up to 2,000 rpm is also possible in the second stage.

In addition, the Hei-TORQUE Ultimate 400 offers, in particular, the option of ramp programming, process monitoring (including a timer function and torque trend display as a value), as well as the necessary features for documenting your application parameters. To this end, it is equipped with two interfaces – USB and RS232 – which give you maximum flexibility to connect the device to a PC, a programmable logic controller (PLC) or an automation system such as LabManager. Included in the scope of delivery is the free Hei-Control software for remote control of up to four devices via a PC.

The Hei-TORQUE Ultimate 400 laboratory stirrer handles any stirring task with minimal noise thanks to the latest motor technology. The safety-oriented start/stop touch function is designed to minimise the risk of the unit being switched on accidentally.

Suitable for use in fume cupboards or as a drive for reactor set-ups, the Hei-TORQUE Ultimate 400 features a quick-release chuck (Quick Chuck with safety ring) with a diameter of 10.5 mm, which can be combined with a wide range of stirring bars to achieve the best stirring results.
