This upright freezer is specially designed for use in professional kitchens: the Liebherr FFFsg 5501 maintains a reliable and stable temperature range of -9 °C to -26 °C, even at ambient temperatures of up to +40 °C. It is designed for hygiene and HACCP concepts and for GN containers. The body and door are made of robust steel.

Technology and cooling performance

The FFFsg 5501 uses static cooling (SmartFrost) and reliably maintains the temperature within the range of -9 °C to -26 °C, even at a permissible ambient temperature of up to +40 °C. The natural refrigerant R 290 is used (fill quantity 95 g). The temperature is displayed digitally on the outside; in the event of a fault, the unit issues visual and audible warnings. Via a retrofittable Wi-Fi/LAN interface, the upright freezer can be integrated into an existing kitchen or business network if required.

Interior layout and ease of use

Five storage shelves in the freezer compartment, plus up to 10 baskets in the 600 x 400 mm crosswise insert format, ensure organised, flexible storage, practical for sorting by product group. The aluminium handle makes it easy to operate, even when wearing gloves. The door hinge is on the right but can be reversed, allowing the unit to be flexibly adapted to the existing kitchen layout. Defrosting is carried out manually.

The FFFsg 5501 is designed for professional use in the catering industry and is suitable for restaurant kitchens, canteens and catering businesses that require reliable deep-freeze storage with clearly organised basket sorting. Particularly when preparing for service, when individual product groups need to be accessed quickly, the combination of shelving and baskets helps to maintain an overview of the stored goods, rather than having to search through an unsorted freezer room.

Installation and connection

With external dimensions of 181.8 x 74.7 x 76.9 cm (H x W x D) and a net weight of 101.00 kg, the FFFsg 5501 is intended for a fixed installation in the kitchen. The appliance operates at 220 to 240 V with a rated current of 2.0 A and is supplied with a 3,000 mm long power cable. The feet are height-adjustable (150 to 180 mm), making it easier to level the appliance on uneven kitchen floors.
