Technology and cooling performance

The dynamic cooling system ensures even temperature distribution inside the unit, and defrosting takes place automatically. The temperature is displayed digitally on the outside and can be set within a range of +1 °C to +15 °C, with a permissible ambient temperature of +10 °C to 40 °C. The natural refrigerant R 600a is used (charge: 70 g), an energy-efficient choice. In the event of a fault, the unit issues visual and audible warnings, ensuring that temperature deviations are noticed immediately. Via a retrofittable Wi-Fi/LAN interface, the cooling unit can be integrated into an existing kitchen or business network as required and monitored remotely.

Interior layout and ease of use

Five plastic-coated grid shelves, each with a load capacity of up to 60 kg, ensure stable and flexible storage. The interior is designed to accommodate GN 2/1 containers (650 x 530 mm) inserted crosswise, a standard size that can be used in many professional kitchens without the need for additional adaptation. The aluminium handle fits comfortably in the hand; the door hinge is on the right but can be reversed, allowing the unit to be flexibly adapted to the existing kitchen layout. Four height-adjustable feet, adjustable from 150 to 180 mm, compensate for uneven floors.

Installation and connection

With external dimensions of 181.8 x 74.7 x 76.9 cm (H x W x D) and a net weight of 80.50 kg, the FRFvg 5501 is intended for a fixed installation in the kitchen. The appliance operates at 220 to 240 V with a current consumption of 2.0 A and is supplied with a 3-metre-long power cable; a standard kitchen power socket is therefore sufficient. With a width of 79.2 cm when the door is open, sufficient space for manoeuvre should be allowed for at the installation site. As the successor to the previous model, the GKv 5710, the FRFvg 5501 continues Liebherr’s tried-and-tested Performance series and is designed for continuous professional use in commercial kitchens.
