The Liebherr SFTfg 1501 Performance is the compact solution for laboratories that need to store sensitive and flammable substances safely. As an under-counter benchtop unit, it offers an ignition-source-free interior in accordance with the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU (Zone 22). This makes it ideal for storing flammable materials in sealed containers that could create an explosive atmosphere. Despite its compact dimensions, its 71-litre net volume provides ample space for your retained samples, reagents or vaccines.

Temperature stability and SmartFrost technology

In laboratory practice, temperature stability is crucial. The SFTfg 1501 ensures precise maintenance of the selected temperature within the range of -9 °C to -30 °C. Thanks to the integrated SmartFrost technology, frost build-up on the interior and stored items is drastically reduced. For you, this means less frequent defrosting and consistently low energy consumption. The smooth interior walls are also particularly easy to clean and disinfect, making it easier to comply with hygiene regulations.

Alarm functions and reliability

The unit features an intelligent monitoring system. In the event of temperature deviations, the integrated visual and audible alarm provides an immediate warning. A special feature is the ‘+2°C SafetyDevice’ function: should the electronics fail, an additional safety module takes control and stabilises the temperature to prevent the samples from thawing unintentionally. An integrated data logger also records the last three alarms as well as power failures, along with the date and time.
