Macherey-Nagel NANOCOLOR VIS II photometer, 320–1100 nm, without Wi-Fi, 919650.1

Product information "Macherey-Nagel NANOCOLOR VIS II photometer, 320–1100 nm, without Wi-Fi, 919650.1"

Precise water and wastewater analysis requires reliable measurement technology that is easy to use in day-to-day laboratory work. The NANOCOLOR VIS II photometer from Macherey-Nagel covers the wavelength range from 320–1100 nm and combines high-quality optics with an icon-based, touchscreen menu system for a quick start without the need for lengthy training.

Precise measurement technology for everyday laboratory use

At its core, the instrument utilises monochromator optics and reference detector technology (RDT). Photometric linearity is < 0.5 % (≤ 2 A) or ≤ 1 % (> 2 A), wavelength accuracy is ± 1 nm and the spectral bandwidth is < 4 nm. A complete scan is completed in less than a minute – ensuring reproducible results in daily measurement routines. The instrument is also insensitive to extraneous light and measures via an open cuvette chamber.

Operation, Methods & Connectivity

Operation is via barcode technology and a 10.1″ LED-backlit HD display with a projective-capacitive touchscreen (PCAP). Over 200 pre-programmed tests and 99 freely programmable methods cover absorbance, transmittance, factor, kinetic and scan measurements. Connections to laboratory information management systems (LIMS) are available via LAN, 2× USB (host), 1× USB (function) and RS232; the internal data storage (16 GB Micro-SDHC) can hold 5,000 measured values and 100 spectra or colour measurements. Software updates can be installed free of charge via a USB stick.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

Data storage is GLP-compliant, and internal quality control is carried out via NANOCONTROL NANOCHECK 2.0. In addition, the instrument offers nephelometric turbidity measurement at 860 nm in accordance with ISO 7027 (measuring range 0.1–1000 NTU) – turbidity is thus detected and reported during the measurement itself. The photometer is CE-certified and comes with a 2-year warranty.

Versatile

In addition to standard measurements (absorbance, transmittance, factor), the NANOCOLOR VIS II also covers kinetic measurements, colour measurements and turbidity determinations. The cuvette chamber accommodates round cuvettes (16 mm OD) as well as rectangular cuvettes (10 mm, 20 mm, 40 mm, 50 mm) and is designed for use with NANOCOLOR round and rectangular cuvette tests.
