The WTW inoLab® pH 7310 Set 4 is the precision reference instrument for demanding pH measurements in the laboratory, where comprehensive documentation in accordance with GLP/AQS is required. Unlike simple routine measuring instruments, this model offers advanced user management and a huge data memory (5,000 entries), which logs measurement values in a tamper-proof manner with ID, date and time. Data can be conveniently transferred via the integrated mini-USB interface directly to a PC (in .csv format) or, optionally, to a printer.

Measurement reliability and CMC function

A key feature for quality assurance is the CMC (Continuous Measurement Control) function. It visually monitors on the display whether the current reading is within the calibrated range and issues an immediate warning if limit values are exceeded. This supports the traceability of the results, particularly for critical samples. The 1- to 5-point calibration with automatic buffer recognition (WTW, DIN/NIST and 20 further sets) ensures maximum accuracy across the entire pH range.

SenTix® 81 precision electrode

‘Set 4’ is distinguished by the inclusion of the high-end SenTix® 81 glass electrode. Compared to gel-filled sensors, this electrode features a liquid electrolyte (3 mol/l KCl) and a platinum diaphragm. This combination ensures a constant electrolyte flow, prevents blockages even with difficult media, and offers extremely fast response times. The integrated 30 kOhm NTC temperature sensor automatically compensates for temperature fluctuations, making this set the first choice for research, pharmaceutical and quality control laboratories.
