Bandelin SONOREX DIGITEC DT 1028 CH Ultrasonic Bath with Heating, 45 L, 3266

The Bandelin SONOREX DIGITEC DT 1028 CH is a heated ultrasonic bath with a large tank. It has a capacity of 45.0 l (usable volume 30.0 l); the welded tank, made of 1.4404 stainless steel, is 2.0 mm thick, and the 1,450 W heater brings the bath fluid up to 80 °C.

Tank dimensions: 500 x 300 x 300 mm

The tank is 500 mm long, 300 mm wide and 300 mm deep on the inside. It is welded from 2.0 mm thick 1.4404 stainless steel; the housing is made of stainless steel. The unit weighs 23.4 kg and measures 540 x 340 x 500 mm externally. The drain consists of a G ½ ball valve with a 50 cm hose on the left-hand side; a level mark indicates the fill level.

Ultrasound and heating

Eight vibration systems operate at 35 kHz with a peak power of 1,200 W and a nominal power of 300 W. The heating element has a power rating of 1,450 W at 230 V (1,400 W at 115 V) and is adjustable between 20 and 80 °C; it also features boiling delay protection and dry-run protection of the heating. SweepTec prevents standing waves; the DEGAS rapid degassing function is activated at the start of the cleaning process, and there is also a pulse function. The current consumption at 230 V is 7.7 A.

Operation

The duration and temperature are preselected using the wipe-clean buttons; the display shows the remaining time, the setpoint and the current value. The duration can be set to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes (± 5 %), plus continuous operation. The bath switches itself off 12 hours after the last button press. Side handles help with moving the 23.4 kg unit.

Baskets, lids and base frame

Accessories include the K 28 C insert basket (455 x 245 x 50 mm, mesh size 5 x 5 mm, up to 10 kg) and the K 28 CS basket (430 x 240 x 50 mm, up to 40 kg). The D 1028 C lid is designed for the K 28 C basket, whilst the D 1028 CS lid is designed for the K 28 CS basket. The K 28 CA and K 28 CV baskets accommodate six full-face masks and three full-view masks respectively (470 x 270 x 215 mm, mesh size 12.5 x 12.5 mm). The UG 40 stainless steel base frame has four height-adjustable feet; there is also a TW 40 transport trolley and FT 40 film test frames for testing the bath.

Where the DT 1028 CH fits into the range

The SONOREX DIGITEC DT 1028 H has the same footprint, with a tank depth of 200 mm and a capacity of 28 l (tank made from 1.0 mm thick 1.4301 stainless steel, 1,300 W heater). The DT 1050 CH, with a capacity of 90 l, 16 vibration systems and a peak power of 2,400 W, is the larger model; its tank is also made of welded 1.4404 stainless steel, 2.0 mm thick. The DT 1058 M model, with a capacity of 46 l, does not, however, have a heating element.
