Bandelin SONOREX DIGITEC DT 1028 H Ultrasonic Bath with Heating, 28 L, 3231

The Bandelin SONOREX DIGITEC DT 1028 H has a 500 mm long tank, a capacity of 28 l and a heating power of 1,300 W. The bath temperature can be set between 20 and 80 °C and is shown on the display as both the setpoint and the actual value.

Tank and housing

The interior dimensions of the tank are 500 x 300 x 200 mm; it is made of 1.0 mm thick 1.4301 stainless steel, and the housing is made of the same material. The working capacity is 19.0 l; the fill level mark indicates the fill height. The unit measures 535 x 325 x 400 mm externally and weighs 14.7 kg. A G ½ ball valve is fitted at the drain on the left-hand side; a hose connector and hose are included with the unit.

Ultrasonic field and heating

Eight vibration systems deliver a peak power of 1,200 W at 35 kHz (300 W nominal power). SweepTec prevents standing waves in the ultrasonic field. The DEGAS rapid degassing function is activated at the start of the cleaning process and degasses the bath fluid; the pulse function complements the programme. The 1,300 W heating system is protected against delayed boiling and by dry-run protection. The current consumption is 7.0 A at 230 V and 14.0 A at 115 V.

Day-to-day operation

The control panel can be wiped clean. A timer with settings of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15 and 30 minutes (± 5 %) and a continuous operation mode are available. If someone forgets about the bath, it switches itself off 12 hours after the last button press. The handles on the sides make it easy to carry; the power cable is 2 m long and permanently attached.

DT 1028 H or DT 1028

The same tank is available without a heater as the SONOREX DIGITEC DT 1028 (14.0 kg, current consumption of just 1.4 A at 230 V). If you need to heat cleaning solutions, choose the H version. The DT 1028 CH features 2.0 mm thick, welded 1.4404 stainless steel and has a capacity of 45 l.

Suitable accessories

For the DT 1028 H, the K 28 stainless steel insert basket (455 x 245 x 50 mm, mesh size 5 x 5 mm, load capacity up to 10 kg) and the D 1028 lid are available. The K 29 EM insert basket (470 x 240 x 45 mm, mesh size 4 x 4 mm, for standard instruments) requires the KT 30 basket support. In addition, there is the KW 28-0 polypropylene insert tank (437 x 230 x 155 mm), 13 ZF 28 laboratory flask holders, 0.6-litre insert beakers, the UG 40 base frame with four height-adjustable feet and the TW 40 transport trolley.
