Same tank size as the SUPER RK 100 H, but with a completely different operating system: With a total capacity of 3.0 litres and touchscreen controls, the Bandelin SONOREX smart ST 102 H is the digital alternative for users who wish to fine-tune cleaning cycles and repeat them consistently.

Touchscreen instead of a rotary knob

A touchscreen takes over the operation instead of a mechanical rotary knob. The ultrasonic power can be adjusted from 10 to 100 % in 1 % increments, whilst the timer accepts any value from 1 second to 8 hours in 1-second increments. Twelve programme memories, including an ECO programme, allow cleaning cycles to be saved once they have been set and recalled later with a single tap, rather than having to reset the time, power and temperature each time.

40 kHz instead of 35 kHz, plus DEGAS degassing

Unlike the SUPER RK series, the smart ST 102 H operates at an ultrasonic frequency of 40 kHz, with a peak power of 480 watts and a nominal power of 120 watts. In addition to the SweepTec function, there is an automatic DEGAS rapid degassing feature, which removes dissolved air from freshly prepared cleaning fluid before the actual cleaning process begins, supplemented by a pulse mode and an interval operation ranging from 1 to 60 seconds.

Heating up to 80 °C, in 1-degree increments

The 140-watt heater covers a range from 20 to 80 °C, adjustable in 1-degree increments rather than over a continuous range as with the SUPER RK models, and also features boiling delay protection and dry-run protection. Drainage is via a G 1/4 ball valve with a 25 cm hose on the right-hand side.

Hard-chromed tank and system bus interface

As with the SUPER RK series, the tank and housing are made of 1.4301 stainless steel with a thickness of 1.0 mm; the tank is also hard-chromed. The unit can be connected to a docking station via a system bus interface with a 4-pin M12 socket. A lithium backup battery (CR 2032, 3 V) safeguards the stored programmes even in the event of a power cut.

SUPER RK, DIGITEC DT or smart ST: choose the suitable control option

Bandelin offers this same compact 3.0-litre tank size in three control concepts: with a rotary knob in the SUPER RK series (such as the RK 100 H), with push-button controls and an LED display in the DIGITEC DT series, or with a touchscreen and programme memory in the smart ST 102 H. Those wishing to store cleaning parameters for different items in a reproducible manner will benefit from the smart ST series, whilst those who prefer simple, robust operation without electronics should opt for the RK 100 H. Use and maintenance

The working capacity of 2.0 litres is less than the total capacity of 3.0 litres, ensuring that no water spills over the rim when the items to be cleaned are placed inside. A concentrate from Bandelin’s TICKOPUR range is suitable for the cleaning fluid. Unlike the SUPER RK models, the DEGAS function of the smart ST 102 H automatically degasses freshly prepared cleaning fluid; a manual pre-run is not necessary. The hard-chromed tank is compatible with standard aqueous cleaning agents, but should be emptied and wiped dry after the last cycle of the day to prevent residues from settling.
