The bimos ESD NEON upholstery element is the seat and back upholstery for the ESD NEON chair element, which is supplied without upholstery. The chair element is a separate item; both parts are ordered separately and assembled to form the finished chair. The upholstery element is available in various upholstery materials. The selection above shows which versions are available.

Interchangeable upholstery in the click system

bimos hooks the upholstery elements in and secures them with a click; no tool is needed. Each upholstery element has a small handle so that it can be removed easily. According to the assembly instructions, it fits all six models of the chair element (9560E, 9563E, 9561E, 9570E, 9573E and 9571E). When you change the upholstery, you keep the chair element.

ESD properties according to the manufacturer’s specification

The bimos price list shows all upholstery options as ESD versions. According to the ESD declaration from bimos, the ESD NEON series meets the requirements of DIN EN 61340-5-1 and ANSI/ESD S20.20-2021 for use in EPAs; the typical resistance to groundable point (Rgp) is 10⁵ to 10⁷ ohms. The declaration applies to the series and names no values for individual upholstery options. It is a manufacturer’s declaration from bimos and not a test report from an independent test laboratory.

Upholstery options

Duotec fabric is breathable, absorbs and releases moisture, and can be cleaned with commercially available upholstery cleaners. Magic synthetic leather is PVC-free, washable and unaffected by oils and, according to the manufacturer, also resistant to commercially available disinfectants. Skintec has a soft upholstery core and a robust, easy-care surface which, according to the manufacturer, is also resistant to commercially available disinfectants. Supertec consists of a micro armour which, according to the manufacturer, is cut-resistant, non-slip and breathable.

Duotec fabric is available in black, blue and grey, Magic synthetic leather, Skintec and Supertec in black. Which cleaning agents and disinfectants are suitable in an individual case, also with regard to the ESD property, should be clarified before use.

• Replacement or interchangeable upholstery for ESD NEON chairs in electrostatic protected areas (EPAs)
• Laboratory workstations with cleaning regulations and disinfection, for example with Magic synthetic leather or Skintec
• Workstations with higher mechanical stress, for example with Supertec

Warranty

bimos grants a 3-year full warranty from delivery. From the fourth to the tenth year, bimos supplies spare parts free of charge; labour and call-out are then charged. Excluded are wear parts such as foam parts, upholstery, castors and surfaces of frames and star bases. The warranty conditions apply to Germany. In the event of a warranty claim, please contact us. The bimos warranty terms (PDF) apply. Your statutory rights in respect of defects remain unaffected.
