The Bimos TEXON is a task chair for laboratory workstations with frequent changes of position, and for workbenches and test stations in industry. Auto-Motion technology follows every movement, the anthracite aluminium star base carries the chair as standard, and depending on the version and upholstery, the TEXON adapts to a lab bench, production line or workbench. Auto-Motion technology and Flex-Back for dynamic sitting The Auto-Motion mechanism can be locked in three positions and automatically adjusts the weight regulation, with no need to readjust the chair. The Flex-Back under the lower backrest increases the range of movement to the rear. Anyone sharing the chair between several people in shift work manages without tools and without a long adjustment time. Interchangeable upholstery and smooth surfaces Seat and backrest upholstery can be changed with one click, without tools. The seamless design and closed surfaces make cleaning straightforward, which matters at laboratory workstations with cleaning regulations and in production areas exposed to dust and splashes. Choosing upholstery to suit the application The TEXON is available in four upholstery materials, each with its own focus. Synthetic leather Magic is PVC-free, easy to clean and resistant to commercially available disinfectants, which makes it an obvious choice for laboratory workstations with hygiene requirements. Skintec combines seating comfort with easy cleaning and robustness, is likewise resistant to disinfectants and, according to the manufacturer, is produced in a particularly sustainable way, making it a second good choice for laboratories. Supertec is designed for production environments: its micro-armour coating resists cuts and slipping while remaining breathable, which suits workbenches and manufacturing workstations in industry. Fabric Duotec is suited to clean environments, is breathable and can be cared for with commercially available upholstery cleaners. Synthetic leather Magic and Fabric Duotec are available in black and grey, Skintec additionally in off-white, and Supertec in black and grey. Four versions for different working heights The basic models differ in seat height and floor contact. Low with glides or with castors covers seat heights from 450 to 620 mm, the range for lab benches and workbenches at standard height. High with glides and foot ring or with seat-stop castors and foot ring runs from 570 to 810 mm and is intended for elevated workstations, for example on production lines or test benches at standing-desk height. At these seat heights, the foot ring gives the feet the necessary support. Anyone who needs castors at an elevated workstation chooses the version with seat-stop castors. One basic model for laboratory and industry At the lab bench, cleaning between two samples matters most, at the workbench it is the seat height relative to the machine and the stability of the castors. The TEXON covers both with the same mechanism and differs only in version and upholstery. Anyone who wants to use the chair in both the laboratory and the adjoining production area can choose version and upholstery separately for each workstation, without having to switch to a different model. Standard, safety and warranty The TEXON is built to DIN 68877 and carries the GS mark for tested safety. The castor versions come with load-dependent braked soft castors for hard floors as standard. According to the manufacturer, bimos grants a 3-year full warranty from delivery. From the fourth to the tenth year, bimos supplies spare parts free of charge, labour and call-out are then charged, and wear parts such as upholstery and castors are excluded from the fourth year.
