Heidolph Hei-VAP Core Handlift G3 Rotary Evaporator, Vertical Condenser, 10 to 280 rpm, 571-01300-00

The Hei-VAP Core, featuring a Handlift and G3 vertical condenser, simplifies the operation of a rotary evaporator to just two control knobs: one for the rotation speed and one for the heating bath temperature. A digital display shows actual and setpoint values, whilst LED rings make the operating status visible even from a distance.

Control concept with two rotary knobs and a lock function

The two rotary knobs operate dynamically: turning them quickly adjusts the values in large increments, whilst turning them slowly allows for precise fine-tuning. A lock function prevents accidental adjustment during operation. The flask can be adjusted to an immersion depth of up to 155 millimetres and an angle of inclination ranging from 20 to 80 degrees; the lift speed is 25 millimetres per second.

Heating bath and evaporation rates

The heating bath, made of V4A stainless steel (1.4404), has a capacity of 4.5 litres and covers a temperature range of 20 to 100 °C when using water and 20 to 210 °C when using oil. An over-temperature protection system shuts down the unit if the temperature deviates by 5 °C from the setpoint; an additional overheating protection system activates at 250 °C. At a temperature difference of 40 °C during continuous operation, the unit achieves evaporation rates of 8.5 litres per hour for toluene, 5.8 litres for acetone, 3.5 litres for ethanol and 1.2 litres for water.

G3 vertical condenser and cooling surface

The built-in G3 vertical condenser offers a maximum cooling surface area of 0.22 square metres, depending on the glass set used. This version, featuring a Handlift, heating bath and G3 glass set (order number 571-01300-00), is the uncoated glass variant. Heidolph offers an identical version with coated glass under a separate order number; this is not part of this SKU.

Safety during continuous operation

A standby function stops all operations at the touch of a button, whilst a residual heat warning alerts the user to remaining heat when the heating bath temperature exceeds 50 °C. The EC motor covers a speed range of 10 to 280 revolutions per minute; the sound pressure level is below 85 dB(A), measured based on IEC 61010. The unit itself is rated to IP 20, whilst the heating bath’s connection cable is rated to IP 67.

This excludes glass and wear parts, damage caused during transport and damage resulting from improper use. If the device is registered with Heidolph, the warranty commences on the date of purchase; otherwise, it commences on the date of manufacture as indicated by the serial number. Your statutory warranty rights remain unaffected. Our procurement service can, if required, put together suitable glass sets, flasks, seals or a vacuum pump for the Hei-VAP Core.
