The IKA A 10.4 grinding chamber reducer (MPN 0025001664) is an unassuming yet extremely effective accessory for the IKA A 10 basic analytical mill. Anyone who has ever tried to grind just a few grams of a valuable sample in a standard mill will be familiar with the problem: the material is simply flung against the walls of the grinding chamber or into the lid by centrifugal forces and is barely caught by the beater. The grinding result is uneven and inefficient.

Keeping the sample within the working area

The grinding chamber reducer solves this problem in a simple and clever way:

• Volume reduction: The insert significantly reduces the free volume of the grinding chamber.
• Increased efficiency: The sample simply has no room left to ‘evade’ the grinding tool. It is specifically held within the direct working area of the beater or blade.
