The IKA A 11.7 is a filling funnel for the A 11 basic analytical mill. It prevents splashing when liquid nitrogen is poured into the A 11.5 grinding beaker. The jacket is made of PTFE, whilst the sieve is made of stainless steel (AISI 316L). The funnel is not included in the scope of delivery for the A 11 basic.
Typical applications
The funnel is needed when material to be ground in the A 11 basic is to be embrittled with liquid nitrogen. The relevant safety regulations apply when handling liquid nitrogen.
