Innovative universal mixing drive

The IKA MIXSTER (known as the Twister) is more than just a magnetic stirrer – it is a modular mixing system that adapts to your requirements. With its ultra-slim design and high-quality glass surface, it is a real eye-catcher in the laboratory. The powerful drive handles volumes of up to 5 litres at speeds of up to 3,000 rpm and effortlessly copes with viscosities of up to 500 mPas. Thanks to the intuitive beaker recognition, the stirring process starts automatically as soon as a vessel is placed on the unit.

Modularly expandable to a multi-position system

Its expandability is unique: you can use the MIXSTER as a single unit or link up to 30 units to form a large multi-position magnetic stirrer. The units can be easily slotted together and communicate using the leader-follower principle. Furthermore, with optional accessories (such as the MIX.VX attachment), the drive can be transformed into a vortex mixer or circular shaker in no time at all. This makes it a universal ‘all-in-one’ tool for any laboratory bench.

Smart features & robustness

The innovative 360° LED glass display does away with alphanumeric readouts and intuitively visualises changes in speed or viscosity graphically. For samples that are difficult to mix, the integrated reverse function (automatic direction of rotation reversal) ensures significantly better mixing. With its high IP 66 protection rating, the device is dust-tight and protected against powerful water jets – it can be easily cleaned under the tap and is even suitable for use in incubators up to 40 °C.
