High-tech materials: DLC coating

The heart of the pipette – the dispensing piston and the tip cone – is coated with DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon). This diamond-like carbon is extremely hard and smooth. The benefits in everyday laboratory work:

The tip cone is designed to be universal. For 250 µl, pipette tips with a capacity of up to 300 µl or 1000 µl (usually blue boxes/racks) are generally used. Thanks to its universal fit, the IKA PETTE is compatible with tips from almost all leading manufacturers.

Maintenance and calibration

The pipette is designed for easy maintenance. Should cleaning be necessary, the piston and seal are easily accessible. You can carry out recalibration (e.g. for liquids with a specific density) yourself without the need for tools and without having to send the device in for servicing.
