Efficient pipetting in microtitre plates

The IKA PETTE multi 12 x 0.5–10 µl has been specially developed for precise dispensing into 96-well plates. With its 12 channels and a variable volume range of 0.5 to 10 µl (adjustable in 0.01 µl increments), it significantly speeds up serial dilution series and the filling of microplates without compromising on accuracy. The ergonomic design is intended to minimise hand strain, even at high sample throughput. Three interchangeable handles in different sizes allow for individual adaptation to the user’s hand and ensure optimal balance of the instrument.

High-quality materials for durability

Like the tried-and-tested single-channel pipettes in the IKA PETTE series, the multichannel version also relies on uncompromising material quality. The pistons and tip cones are made of stainless steel and finished with a special DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating. This extremely hard surface is wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant and ensures consistently low friction coefficients. This not only ensures smooth pipetting and tip ejection, but also guarantees a tight fit of the pipette tips across all 12 channels.

Easy to maintain and fully autoclavable

For sterile applications in molecular biology or cell culture, the IKA PETTE multi offers maximum safety: it is fully autoclavable at 121 °C. There is no need for time-consuming disassembly prior to sterilisation. For regular maintenance, the pipette can be dismantled and cleaned without tools thanks to its modular design. The user can also carry out any necessary adjustments independently and without special tools to ensure compliance with ISO 8655 standards.
