Precise liquid handling in a 96-well format

The IKA PETTE multi 8 x 20–200 µl is the ideal solution for laboratories processing medium-sized sample volumes in microtitre plates. With 8 channels and a variable volume range of 20 to 200 µl (adjustable in 0.2 µl increments), it efficiently handles classic applications such as immunoassays, cell culture passages or serial dilutions. The ergonomic design significantly reduces strain on the hand muscles. The scope of delivery includes three interchangeable handles, which allow the device to be adapted to the user’s individual hand size, thus ensuring optimum balance and posture.

Durability thanks to DLC coating

IKA is committed to uncompromising material quality: the pistons and tip cones of all 8 channels are made of robust stainless steel and are additionally coated with a DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating. This extremely hard carbon layer protects against corrosion and mechanical abrasion. At the same time, it reduces friction, enabling smooth pipetting and gentle tip ejection. The design ensures an absolutely tight seal of the pipette tips on all channels.

Hygiene standards and maintenance

The IKA PETTE multi is ideally suited to sterile working environments: it is fully autoclavable at 121 °C without the need for prior disassembly. This enhances process reliability and saves valuable working time. For routine cleaning, the volumetric unit can be dismantled without tools. The user can also carry out adjustments (e.g. for media with varying densities) independently and without special tools, in order to ensure long-term compliance with the requirements of ISO 8655.
