Product information "Kern ADB 200-4 Analytical Balance, 220 g / 0.1 mg, Force Compensation"
The Kern ADB 200-4 is an analytical balance with a weighing range of 220 g and a readability of 0.0001 g, i.e. 0.1 mg. It uses force compensation and is calibrated using an adjustment programme (CAL) with an external weight. It is operated via six buttons.
Force compensation and display
Repeatability 0.0002 g, linearity ± 0.0004 g. The stabilisation time under laboratory conditions is 3 seconds; the warm-up time is 8 hours. The minimum weight according to USP is 400 mg; the tare range extends up to 220 g. The backlit display shows digits 16 mm high. The weighing units listed are per cent, carats, grams, pounds (lb), ounces (oz) and PCS (pieces). The carat display ranges up to 1,100 ct with a resolution of 0.0005 ct.
CAL calibration programme
The CAL calibration programme adjusts the scale’s accuracy using an external test weight; the weights are available separately. Kern recommends 200 g of class E2. Suitable for this are the individual weights 316-08 (compact) and 317-08 (button), both OIML E2, 200 g, polished stainless steel, as well as the Safety Set 315-108-104 with 10 g (E2) and 200 g (E2). A DAkkS calibration certificate has item no. 963-101.
Glass draught shield and installation
The large glass draught shield with three sliding doors is included as standard. Its internal dimensions are 175 x 175 x 230 mm and its external dimensions are 230 x 310 x 330 mm; the weighing pan has a diameter of 90 mm. A spirit level and levelling screws are provided for levelling. The housing is made of plastic, whilst the weighing plate is made of stainless steel. The permissible operating conditions are 10 °C to 30 °C and 20 % to 85 % relative humidity. To protect against vibrations, Kern offers the YPS-03 anti-vibration table and the YPS-04 and YPS-05 anti-vibration plates; to protect against electrostatic charge, the YBI-01A and ABP-A01 ionisers.
Piece counting and interface
The minimum piece weight is 10 mg, or 1 mg under laboratory conditions; the counting resolution is 220,000. RS-232 is fitted as standard; the MLB-A05 interface cable (1.5 m) and the YKI-02 Bluetooth adapter are available as accessories, as are converters for Ethernet and Wi-Fi (YKI-10, YKI-11, YKI-12) and the YKC-01 and YKT-01 printers. The mains adaptor operates on 100 to 265 V at 50/60 Hz.
Typical applications
- Weighing in the tenths of a milligram range up to 220 g
- Weighing in carats up to 1,100 ct
- Percentage weighing and piece counting via the weighing units
