Not every ice-cream freezer needs to rely solely on a ‘total display’ presentation: in many shops, it is more practical to keep stock organised by flavour in baskets within easy reach, rather than stacking everything loosely on top of one another and having to search for items for ages when serving customers. The Liebherr EFI 2853 comes with four baskets for this very purpose and combines this with an attractive design for the sales area, which looks great and blends in well with modern retail spaces.

Four baskets for sorted stock

The EFI 2853 is supplied with four baskets in which different ice cream flavours or snack categories can be stored separately and within easy reach. This simplifies stock rotation in day-to-day operations, as individual baskets can be removed, refilled and put back in place without having to rearrange the entire cabinet. This sets the EFI 2853 apart from the suitcase- or tub-style models in the EFE series. This layout is particularly beneficial when serving customers over the counter, as staff can reach straight for the correct basket rather than having to search the entire interior.

With a gross capacity of 282 litres and a net capacity of 196 litres, the EFI 2853 offers sufficient space for a varied product range; its attractive design and clearly arranged goods reliably encourage impulse purchases amongst customers. The Total Display Area also ensures that, even when the baskets are full, the layout remains clear and the product range can be taken in at a glance, without customers having to spend ages searching through the selection.

Static cooling with LED lighting

The temperature adjustment range extends from -10 °C to -24 °C for static cooling; the internal temperature is displayed on an analogue gauge, whilst defrosting is carried out manually and can therefore be scheduled independently of stock levels. LED lighting inside the unit ensures good visibility of the goods and the four baskets; the sliding glass lid can be opened and closed easily without allowing an unnecessary amount of cold air to escape. The refrigerant R 290 is considered a natural refrigerant with low global warming potential.

Compact dimensions, simple connection

With a width of 104.5 cm and a depth of 66 cm, the EFI 2853 fits into medium-sized retail spaces without appearing too bulky. The rated current is 1.5 A at 220–240 V and 50 Hz, and the R 290 refrigerant requires a charge of just 60 g. With a net weight of 56.6 kg and a gross weight of 60.5 kg, the chest can be moved with minimal effort if required, for example if the layout of the sales area changes. A lock can be retrofitted mechanically, and the permissible ambient temperature ranges from +10 °C to 35 °C.
