Seven baskets for clear organisation

Unlike the EFE models in the range, which are supplied without baskets, the EFI 4853 comes with seven baskets as standard. This allows different product categories – such as ice lollies, family-size packs and savoury snacks – to be clearly separated from one another, rather than customers having to search through the entire contents. For staff, this also means quicker stock checks, as each category can be checked at a glance.

Organised differently from the EFE range

The EFI 4853 belongs to a separate series, which differs from the EFE models primarily in its basket system. Anyone already using EFE chests who also needs a better-organised display area will find the EFI 4853 a useful addition, without having to introduce a completely new system in terms of technology and operation. Staff familiar with the EFE models will therefore find their way around the EFI 4853 straight away.

Spacious, clearly organised

With a net capacity of 355 litres and an internal width of 155 cm, the EFI 4853 offers ample space for a wide range of products. The sliding glass lid with LED lighting ensures that, despite the seven baskets, everything remains visible at a glance without the lid needing to be opened; this makes it even easier for customers to find their way around, particularly in a chest organised by category, and reduces the time spent searching at the till.

Technology similar to that of the EFE models, with its own cable

In terms of refrigerant, cooling principle and operation, the EFI 4853 is based on the same tried-and-tested design as the EFE series: R290 with a charge of 80 g, static cooling with a temperature range of -10 °C to -24 °C, and manual defrosting. At 3,300 mm, the power cable is slightly longer than on the standard models, which allows for greater flexibility when positioning the unit, for example if the nearest socket is further away or the chest freezer is freestanding in the room.

Take weight into account when planning

With a gross weight of 89.5 kg and an external width of 167.5 cm, the EFI 4853 is one of the larger chests in the range. Access routes and the installation site should be checked in advance to ensure that delivery and installation proceed without complications, particularly as the baskets are transported pre-assembled and add to the weight.

Typical applications

The EFI 4853 is suitable for supermarkets with several separate frozen food sections, for delicatessens and farm shops offering a variety of frozen products, for cash-and-carry markets with a mixed range, and for businesses that prioritise a clear, pre-sorted presentation of goods.
