Compact and under-counter compatible for small kitchens

With external dimensions of 85.2 x 60 x 64.8 cm, the FFTsg 1501 fits under standard worktops and can therefore be integrated into existing kitchen units in a space-saving manner without taking up any additional floor space. This is a significant advantage over a freestanding freezer, particularly in small kitchens with limited floor space. The temperature setting range is from -9 °C to -26 °C; the digital display is located on the outside of the unit and can be read without opening the door. In the event of a fault, the cabinet issues a visual and audible warning, ensuring that the cold chain is maintained even in smaller establishments without constant supervision. The unit can be operated at ambient temperatures of +10 °C to 40 °C, making it suitable even for warmer kitchen units located near a bakery.

Black or white: match the look to your kitchen

On closer inspection, the two versions also differ in the details: the black version has a black plastic handle and a grey plastic inner container, whilst the white version comes with an aluminium handle and a white plastic inner container. Technically, in terms of cooling capacity and interior space, both versions are identical, so the decision can be based solely on the desired look of the kitchen unit.

Features and operation

Three removable baskets ensure a clear overview when storing items; according to the manufacturer, the sturdy baskets allow for a quick view of the contents without having to search for long. The unit stands on two adjustable feet, the door hinge can be switched to the right, and a mechanical lock secures the contents against unauthorised access. Defrosting is carried out manually, which, given the compact internal capacity of 60 litres, requires little effort and can be done during quiet moments between service calls. The gross dimensions of 101 litres, compared with a net capacity of 60 litres, are due to the insulation, which ensures stable cooling performance despite the compact external dimensions.

Connection and Networking

The rated current is 2.0 A at 220 to 240 V and 50/60 Hz; the 3,000 mm-long power cable is sufficient for most under-counter installations without the need for an additional extension lead. Thanks to the optional retrofittable Wi-Fi/LAN interface, even this compact unit can be integrated into a larger monitoring solution if required. The climate-friendly R 600a refrigerant is used, with a charge of just 60 g – an economical figure that is in line with the low annual energy consumption of 230 kWh.
