Not every kitchen has room for a freestanding freezer. The Liebherr FFTvg 1501 is designed as an under-counter freezer and, with a height of just 85.2 cm, can be integrated under worktops or into recesses. With a net capacity of 59 litres, it meets the freezing requirements of smaller kitchens, snack bars or serving stations without taking up valuable floor space. As the entry-level model in the Performance series, the FFTvg 1501 is aimed at businesses looking for a cost-effective and space-saving addition to their existing refrigeration equipment.

Compact under-counter solution

With external dimensions of 85.2 x 60 x 64.8 cm (H x W x D) and a net weight of 39.10 kg, the FFTvg 1501 is easy to transport and install under the worktop. The interior measures 61.0 x 42.0 x 33.0 cm. According to the manufacturer, NoFrost technology ensures ice-free storage, saving time on defrosting and maintaining a consistently usable interior space without a layer of ice forming on the walls over time. The external dimensions of 85.2 x 60 x 64.8 cm correspond to the standard under-counter height in the catering sector, meaning the unit can be integrated without the need for structural alterations.

Operation and features

Instead of fixed shelves, the interior is fitted with three drawers, which are ideal for the organised storage of frozen goods of varying sizes, preventing individual packs from sliding around when the door is opened. The aluminium handle and the reversible door hinge on the right-hand side facilitate integration into different kitchen layouts, depending on which side the unit is to be operated from. The appliance locks mechanically; the temperature is displayed digitally on the outside and can be set between -9 °C and -26 °C. In the event of a fault, the appliance alerts the user both visually and audibly, ensuring that any interruption to the cold chain is quickly noticed. The white plastic inner compartment is easy to clean and is resistant to daily contact with frozen food.

Energy-efficient operation

With an energy consumption of 0.961 kWh per 24 hours, or 351 kWh per year, the FFTvg 1501 is one of the more energy-efficient units in the Liebherr catering range; the EPREL registration number 2523074 verifies these figures. The natural refrigerant R 600a is used (charge: 45 g), and defrosting takes place automatically. A Wi-Fi/LAN interface can be retrofitted if required; the 3-metre-long connection cable is sufficient for most under-counter installations. It is connected to a standard domestic socket with 220–240 V at 2.0 A and a connected load of 207 W. With a net weight of 39.10 kg and a gross weight of 41.00 kg, the cabinet can still be fitted relatively easily under an existing worktop at a later date. The FFTvg 1501 is manufactured at the Liebherr plant in Lienz; the other models in the Performance series are also produced at the same plant.
