The Liebherr FRFCvg 5501 is designed precisely for this purpose. As a refrigerated storage cabinet with a net capacity of 419 l and an extended temperature range from -2 °C to +15 °C, it covers both standard food storage and more sensitive applications such as mild temperature control. As part of the Liebherr Perfection range, the unit is aimed at businesses with high standards regarding equipment and ease of use.

Ample storage space for everyday kitchen use

With a net capacity of 419 l (571 l gross) and internal dimensions of 144.2 x 62.0 x 53.1 cm (H/W/D), the FRFCvg 5501 offers space for the daily stock turnover of a professional kitchen. Five shelves made of plastic-coated wire mesh, each with a load capacity of 60 kg, accommodate Gastronorm containers in the GN 2/1 format (650 x 530 mm) as cross-slots, allowing existing GN containers to be stored directly without the need for decanting. When the door is open, a width of 79.2 cm is available for access; the door hinge can be fitted on the right-hand side.

Extended temperature range for flexible applications

The refrigeration compartment can be set from -2 °C to +15 °C, with a digital display on the outside for monitoring at a glance. This range covers both standard cold storage and special requirements, such as cool storage close to freezing point or a milder temperature setting for sensitive products. The forced-air cooling system with dynamic cooling distributes the cold air evenly throughout the entire interior, whilst automatic defrosting keeps maintenance to a minimum.

Robust construction for continuous use

The housing and door are made entirely of stainless steel, whilst the silver-coloured plastic inner container is easy to clean and disinfect, essential for hygienic kitchen operations. An aluminium handle and four height-adjustable feet (150 to 180 mm) ensure stable installation that can be adapted to the floor surface. In the event of a fault, the appliance issues a visual and audible warning, whilst the mechanical lock provides additional security for the contents. An LED ceiling light ensures a clear view of the entire interior. The four height-adjustable feet also compensate for slightly uneven floors, as are often found in older kitchens.

Successor with expanded functionality

The FRFCvg 5501 is the successor to the tried-and-tested Liebherr GKv 5760 and continues its design as a catering-grade refrigerated storage cabinet, supplemented by the retrofittable Wi-Fi/LAN interface and the temperature range extended down to -2 °C.

GN compatibility in detail

The cross-slot for Gastronorm containers in GN 2/1 format (650 x 530 mm) is distributed across five shelves, each with a load capacity of 60 kg. This corresponds to the container system commonly used in professional kitchens, meaning that ingredients can be stored directly in the existing GN containers without having to be transferred first. This saves time in day-to-day operations and reduces the need to wash up additional transfer containers. Particularly when stock is changing frequently, for example, during pre-storage and temporary storage whilst the kitchen is in operation, this direct access makes a noticeable difference to day-to-day operations and significantly speeds up daily preparation in the kitchen.

Heavy-duty equipment for continuous use

Five shelves, each with a load capacity of 60 kg, securely hold even larger GN containers filled with fresh produce without the shelves sagging. Combined with its robust stainless steel housing, the FRFCvg 5501 is designed for continuous use in professional kitchen environments, not just for occasional use.

Liebherr supplies the FRFCvg 5501 packaged with dimensions of 76.5 x 84.0 x 185.0 cm and a gross weight of 85.30 kg; whilst the net weight of the appliance when installed is 80.10 kg. The fridge is manufactured at the Liebherr plant in Lienz.

Ready for networking

The FRFCvg 5501 features a retrofittable Wi-Fi/LAN interface. If network monitoring of the cold chain is required, for example, for documented temperature control as part of the HACCP scheme, this function can be added as and when needed without having to replace the appliance.
