Not every kitchen or bar has room for a floor-to-ceiling fridge; often, all that’s needed is a small, additional cooling area right next to the workstation – for example, under the counter or next to the preparation area. The Liebherr FRTvg 1501 is designed as an under-counter fridge-freezer for precisely this purpose: with a net capacity of 93 litres, it fits even into confined kitchen spaces without compromising on temperature stability or ease of use.

Compact design for under-counter installation

With external dimensions of 85.2 / 60 / 64.8 cm (H/W/D), the FRTvg 1501 can be integrated beneath worktops or counters without the need for structural alterations. With a gross capacity of 124 litres, this provides 93 litres of usable net capacity for drinks, ingredients or prepared food. The housing and door are made of steel, whilst the inner container is made of white plastic and is easy to wipe clean. Two fixed feet ensure a secure footing, and the aluminium handle with a mechanical lock protects the contents from unauthorised access.

Dynamic cooling with a stable temperature range

The temperature setting range extends from +1 °C to +15 °C, whilst the dynamic cooling system ensures even cooling throughout the interior. The temperature is displayed digitally on the outside; in the event of a fault, the unit issues visual and audible warnings, ensuring that staff remain informed even with a compact unit without the need for constant visual checks – for example, if the cooling zone at a workstation is not continuously in view. Four storage shelves made of plastic-coated grates can bear loads of up to 45 kg. Operation is permitted at ambient temperatures ranging from +10 °C to 40 °C.

Low energy consumption for continuous use

With a consumption of 0.6 kWh per 24 hours or 219 kWh per year, the FRTvg 1501 is one of the most energy-efficient units in its series during operation – a particular advantage where several smaller refrigeration units are running in parallel, such as at different workstations in a larger kitchen. At 220–240 V, the rated current is 2.0 A, the frequency is 50/60 Hz, and the power cable is 3,000 mm long. The refrigerant R 600a is used in small quantities, with a charge of 32 g.

Connection and Networking

A Wi-Fi/LAN interface can be retrofitted if required, for example if the business wishes to centrally monitor several smaller refrigeration units in future. The door hinge is on the right but can be reversed, so that the FRTvg 1501 can be installed to suit the direction of traffic in the kitchen area, even in confined spaces, without restricting movement at the workstation.
