Medicines and other temperature-sensitive substances require safe, temperature-stable storage. The Liebherr HMFvh 4001 meets all the requirements of DIN 13277 in this regard, with a dynamic cooling system, temperature control accurate to the degree and a reliable alarm system in the event of faults or the door being opened. The housing and the self-closing solid door are made of steel, whilst the inner chamber is made of white plastic.

Technology and ease of use

The dynamic cooling system ensures even temperature distribution inside the unit; the temperature is displayed digitally on the outside and can be precisely set to +5 °C (control range: ambient temperature +10 °C to 35 °C). The lock is electronically operated with remote control, whilst the antimicrobial handle with opening mechanism facilitates day-to-day use. An LED light strip ensures a clear view of the contents. The integrated, removable networking solution (Wi-Fi/LAN) allows the unit to be connected to the practice or clinic network and monitored remotely. The natural refrigerant R 600a is used.

Area of application

The HMFvh 4001 is designed for the healthcare sector and is suitable for the standard-compliant storage of medicines in pharmacies, doctors’ surgeries, hospitals and laboratories where temperature-sensitive medicines or samples must be cooled reliably and with proper documentation. Particularly where medicines are stored unattended for extended periods, continuous temperature monitoring with visual and audible alarms in the event of faults is a key component in ensuring compliance with the requirements of DIN 13277.

Installation and connection

The unit is supplied with a 3-metre connection cable and operates at 220-240 V with a connected load of 2.0 A, a standard practice or laboratory power socket is therefore sufficient. The door opens to the right, but this can be reversed, allowing the unit to be flexibly adapted to the existing room layout. Two adjustable feet ensure a secure, stable base.

Interior fittings: storage shelves

The standard version is fitted with six fixed, plastic-coated storage shelves, each with a load capacity of up to 45 kg, for the traditional, flat storage of medicine packaging. For those requiring structured organisation by batch, active ingredient group or ward, the H63 version with a drawer organisation system offers the ideal solution.
