Anyone who wants not only to cool medicines but also to store them separated by ward, batch or active ingredient group will find the suitable solution in the H63 version of the Liebherr HMTvh 1501. Instead of fixed storage racks, a removable organisation system with three drawers provides a structured interior layout, with the same conformity with DIN 13277 and the same electronics as the standard version.

DIN 13277 and the same reliable temperature control

The H63 version also meets DIN 13277 for the storage of temperature-sensitive medicines. The setpoint temperature is fixed at +5 °C and is maintained with ±2 °C stability, at a permitted ambient temperature of +10 °C to +35 °C. In the event of a fault below +2 °C, the SafetyDevice function takes over control and protects the interior from overcooling, and visual and audible alarms report faults immediately. In the event of a power failure, the power failure alarm is triggered immediately and is buffered for at least 12 hours; an integrated USB data logger records the temperature history continuously and creates its own alarm history.

Organisation system: three drawers instead of racks

The H63 version replaces the four storage racks of the standard version with a removable organisation system with three drawers. This allows the interior to be clearly organised by batch, active ingredient group or ward, rather than stacking medicine packs openly on continuous racks. Each drawer can be pulled out individually without disturbing the contents of the other compartments, which facilitates both stock control and the targeted retrieval of individual batches in the event of a recall. Due to the organisation system, the usable net volume is reduced to 82 l compared with 102 l in the standard version; the external dimensions remain unchanged at 81.9 x 59.7 x 60.5 cm (H x W x D).

Networking and operation

Via the integrated, removable Wi-Fi/LAN interface, the HMTvh 1501 H63 can be integrated into the practice or pharmacy network and monitored remotely. The unit is secured by an electronic lock with remote control; the antimicrobial handle with opening mechanism facilitates daily operation, even with gloves. An LED light column on the left ensures good visibility of the neatly organised interior.

Cleanroom-compatible, with adjusted certification list

According to the product data sheet, the H63 version is also designed to be cleanroom-compatible according to ISO EN 14644-1 and meets GMP Class B. For the IEC certifications, the manufacturer lists two fewer standards for the H63 than for the standard version: IEC 61010-2-011 and IEC 61326-1 are stated, whereas IEC 60068-3 and IEC 61010-1 are not.

Compact tabletop unit from the Perfection series

Like the standard version, the HMTvh 1501 H63 belongs to Liebherr’s Perfection range for medicines refrigeration and is designed as a tabletop or under-counter unit, significantly more compact than the large freestanding units in the HMFvh range. With the same external dimensions of 81.9 x 59.7 x 60.5 cm, the unit fits on a worktop, under a counter or in a small adjoining room without compromising on temperature monitoring and documentation. Two fixed feet ensure a secure stance on the respective installation surface. Businesses that already work with the rack version of the HMTvh 1501 and wish to add a second unit with a different interior layout, for example to keep stocks clearly separated, will find an identically constructed counterpart in the H63 version, with identical electronics and monitoring technology.

Typical areas of application

The H63 version is suitable wherever a compartment-by-compartment separation of the medicines stock is required even in a small space, for example when a practice keeps preparations for different treatment areas in parallel or a ward pharmacy has to store smaller quantities separately for several purposes. If, for example, a batch has to be separated at short notice or identified for a recall, exactly the affected drawer can be pulled out without touching the rest of the stock or exposing it unnecessarily to room temperature. Even when responsibilities within the team change, the clear compartment allocation makes handover of the stock easier, because everyone can see immediately which drawer belongs to which group.
