The Liebherr MRFec 4001 has space for bottles and cans. The drinks are stored safely and neatly on the flexible grid shelves; with a net capacity of 286 litres, this drinks fridge offers noticeably more space than its smaller sister model, the MRFec 3501, without taking up significantly more floor space. The impact-resistant, easy-to-clean housing is designed for continuous use at busy counters and in canteens.

Forced air circulation cooling with energy efficiency class C

The MRFec 4001 uses dynamic cooling (forced air circulation) and maintains the temperature within the range of +2 °C to +9 °C, the usual range for chilled drinks at the bar. Forced air circulation cooling distributes the cold air more evenly throughout the interior than a purely static solution, ensuring that items in the rear corners of the shelves also remain reliably cool. The natural refrigerant R 600a is used (charge: 60 g). According to the technical data sheet, energy consumption is around 1.067 kWh per 24 hours, which, when extrapolated, corresponds to the 390 kWh per year stated on the official EU energy label (energy efficiency class C; see the section on the EU energy label below for details). This model is not designed for network connectivity; the appliance operates as a stand-alone unit without a network connection. It is suitable for ambient temperatures of up to +40 °C, making the fridge suitable for warmer locations behind the counter. The temperature can be read on the internal analogue display.

Well-organised interior layout for bottles and cans

Inside, six plastic-coated grid shelves (with a load capacity of up to 45 kg per shelf) ensure flexible, clearly visible organisation of stock, one more shelf than the MRFec 3501. Depending on the type of container, it can hold up to 506 x 0.33-litre cans, 253 x 0.5-litre PET bottles, 133 x 1.0-litre PET bottles or 80 x 1.5-litre PET bottles, and can be stocked with a mix of these. The recessed handle makes it easy to open even when your hands are full; the door hinge is on the right but can be reversed. Defrosting is automatic, so no manual maintenance is required for dehumidifying the refrigeration compartment. The cabinet and door are made of steel, a combination of materials designed for stability in continuous operation and capable of withstanding daily opening and closing at a busy counter. The white plastic inner container is easy to wipe clean should anything spill.

For businesses for which the capacity of the MRFec 3501 is insufficient, the MRFec 4001, with a capacity of 286 litres and an additional shelf, offers noticeably more capacity without taking up much more floor space. The unit is also suitable as a supplement to an existing drinks fridge, for example where a second, larger cooling zone is required. The automatic defrost function ensures that the unit remains operational at all times, even with high throughput, without requiring any additional maintenance.

Installation and connection

With external dimensions of 188.4 x 59.7 x 65.0 cm (H x W x D) and a net weight of 61.70 kg, the MRFec 4001 is designed for a fixed installation behind the bar or in the kitchen. When the door is open, the unit requires a width of 60.0 cm, which must be taken into account when planning space in confined counter areas. It operates at 220 to 240 V with a rated current of 2.0 A and is supplied with a 2,000 mm long connection cable. When packed, the appliance has a gross weight of 66.40 kg and measures 61.5 x 72.5 x 192.0 cm (W x D x H), a specification that is useful for delivery planning. The appliance stands on two feet without height adjustment.
