Memmert water bath WTB15, 14 L, touch display, +100 °C

The Memmert water bath WTB15 belongs to Memmert's new water bath generation.

The Memmert water bath WTB15 tempers samples and reagents at +10 to +100 °C, with 14 litres of capacity for several vessels or a full test tube rack at once.

New model generation

The WTB15 is part of the full relaunch of the Memmert water bath range for price list 01-2027, which replaces the previous model line entirely. Accessories such as lids, base grids, insert racks and test tube racks now come with new order numbers. The pump module P7 for circulating the water bath can now be ordered as a factory option; previously the circulation pump was a separate retrofit part. When reordering accessories, it is worth checking the current order number, listed further down in this description.

Touch display and controls

Target and actual temperature appear on a 3.5-inch colour graphic touch display; 2-point calibration keeps the setting accurate. The customisable remote screen “CustomView” lets you adapt the display. Setting accuracy is 0.1 °C. The display shows the key operating values at a glance without needing a separate control panel.

Stainless steel tank and cleaning

The tank is deep-drawn stainless steel 1.4301, without corners or edges, with an integrated central drain system. The heater is mounted outside the chamber; the housing is also stainless steel. Four adjustable feet level the unit. That makes daily cleaning and disinfection between two different batches easier.

Connection and operation

The connected load is 1,420 W at 230 V and also 1,420 W at 115 V (50/60 Hz in each case). The 115 V version is available as option X2 at no extra cost. A standard lab socket is enough; no dedicated high-current connection is needed.

Size within the WTB range

At 14 litres, the WTB15 is the third of six models, between the WTB11 and the new WTB24. Controls, material and drain system are identical across the whole range; the main differences are internal dimensions, capacity, weight and, from the WTB15 upward, whether the pump module P7 is available.

Footprint and transport

Internal dimensions are 450 x 140 x 300 mm, external with the flat lid 547 x 397 x 292 mm, with the sloped lid 547 x 397 x 392 mm. Packed, the WTB15 arrives in a box measuring 640 x 530 x 495 mm, gross weight 23 kg, net weight 19 kg. The extra internal length fits a full test tube rack.

Pump module P7

For the WTB15, the pump module P7 can be ordered as a factory option and handles continuous circulation of the heat transfer medium. Without P7, the water surface stays calm, which can help when thawing sensitive samples gently.

Calibration and documentation

A factory calibration certificate is not part of the standard equipment and is not included in the scope of delivery. Anyone who needs documented calibration, for example for a quality management system according to ISO 9001 or for test equipment monitoring, can order it as an additional chargeable service through our procurement service. That way the initial commissioning can be documented without having to ship the unit off separately.

Typical applications

With a setting range of +10 to +100 °C, the WTB15 covers a wide range of tempering tasks in the lab. A test tube rack or the optional shaking attachment lets you process several samples at once.

For sample series with a full test tube rack and the optional shaking attachment, the WTB15 is a practical size. Anyone who regularly needs more width for parallel batches will find the new WTB24 the next step up within the range.
