Product information "Nabertherm Chamber Furnace LF 30/14/B500, 30 l, Tmax 1,400 °C, Fibre Insulation, LF0342NKNE"
Unlike the LH models, the Nabertherm chamber furnace LF 30/14 uses a high-quality fibre insulation with bricked corner stones instead of lightweight refractory bricks. The fibre insulation shortens the heating and cooling times compared to the brick insulation, with the same usable space of 30 litres and the same Tmax of 1,400 °C as the LH 30/14.
Fibre insulation instead of brick
The LF 30/14 weighs 180 kg, the brick-insulated LH 30/14 version weighs 200 kg. Internal dimensions, external dimensions and connected load are the same for both models.
Interior and door
Internally, the usable space measures 320 x 320 x 320 mm, externally the furnace measures around 710 x 930 x 1,290 mm depending on additional equipment. The standard door is a fixed door with a brick-on-brick seal, hand-ground, a recessed SiC plate in the floor protects the floor heating and serves as a level stacking surface. The housing is made of double-walled textured stainless steel sheet, which keeps the external temperature low and gives the furnace stability. As a factory option, the fixed door can be replaced with a parallel swing door with protection against heat radiation or a lift door with electro-mechanical linear drive. An adjustable temperature limiter with adjustable cut-off temperature additionally protects furnace and charge against over-temperature if required.
Heating, connection and controller
Five sides of the furnace chamber are heated, heating elements on support tubes radiate freely into the interior. The five-sided heating is designed to provide good temperature uniformity in the furnace chamber, freely radiating heating elements on support tubes for a long service life. The connection is three-phase at 10 kW, although the heating itself only operates between two phases. The installed heating power is generously dimensioned and enables short heating times. An optional cooling system with predefined temperature gradient or fixed fresh air volume can be switched segment by segment via an extra function of the controller. The B500 controller is mounted in the door, removable for operation, and stores five programs of four segments each via touch operation.
Selection guide
Anyone who prefers a brick insulation made of lightweight refractory bricks will find the matching alternative at LT Laborhandel with the LH 30/14 at the same volume and the same Tmax. Compared to the LH 30/14 with the same volume and the same Tmax, the fibre insulation saves 20 kilograms of weight, with an otherwise identical connected load of 10 kW. If a lower final temperature is sufficient, the fibre insulation is also available as LF 30/13 up to 1,300 °C, Nabertherm only builds models up to 1,200 °C with brick insulation. If more volume is needed, Nabertherm also offers the fibre insulation as LF 60/14 with double and as LF 120/14 with four times the usable space compared to the LF 30/14.
Typical applications
With the weighing device available as a factory option, the LF 30/14 can be set up for loss on ignition determination. For processes with non-flammable process gases, a protective gas connection and a manual or automatic gas supply system are available, process control and documentation can be handled by the VCD software package if desired.
