Nabertherm Chamber Furnace LH 120/12/B500, 120 l, Tmax 1,200 °C, Brick Insulation, LH1222NKNE

Product information "Nabertherm Chamber Furnace LH 120/12/B500, 120 l, Tmax 1,200 °C, Brick Insulation, LH1222NKNE"

With 120 litres of usable space, the Nabertherm chamber furnace LH 120/12 is one of the larger versions of the brick insulated LH series up to 1,200 °C. At 410 kg weight and external dimensions of around 890 x 1,180 x 1,470 mm, installation needs more planning than a laboratory bench device, but in return considerably more or larger charges fit into the furnace chamber.

Interior and fixed door

Inside, the usable space measures 500 x 500 x 500 mm. In the standard version, the door is a fixed door with a brick on brick seal, hand ground. A recessed SiC plate in the floor protects the floor heating and provides a level surface on which charge can be stacked. The ceiling arch is self supporting, this gives the furnace chamber stability and keeps dust away from above. At a weight of 410 kg, the stand is already part of the scope of delivery. Instead of the fixed door, a parallel swing door is also available ex works for the LH 120/12, which protects against heat radiation from the door, or a lift door with electro-mechanical linear drive for opening in the hot state. An adjustable temperature limiter with adjustable cut-off temperature can be added ex works and additionally protects furnace and charge against over-temperature.

Heating and connection

Five sides of the furnace chamber are heated, this ensures good temperature uniformity. The heating elements sit on support tubes and radiate freely into the interior, this is intended to make them last longer. The connection is three phase at a connected load of 12 kW. The installed heating power is generously sized, this enables short heating times. A motor driven exhaust flap and a continuously adjustable air inlet slide in the floor regulate the airflow during the process.

Controller B500

The controller B500 is mounted in the furnace door and can be removed for operation. Five programs of four segments each can be created and recalled via the touch operation, for recurring batches without entering the parameters again.

Selection guide

If the furnace chamber is too large for the charge, the smaller LH 30/12 with 30 litres offers a considerably more compact entry into the same series. At a quarter of the usable volume, it comes in at less than half the weight (200 kg) and 7 kW connected load. If even larger volumes are needed, the LH 216/12 at the same Tmax is available as the largest model in this series at LT Laborhandel, at 216 litres it weighs a further 60 kg more and has a connected load of 20 kW, 8 kW higher than the LH 120/12, see table below.

Typical applications

A weighing device for loss on ignition determinations is available ex works for the LH 120/12. For processes in which the furnace chamber is purged with non-flammable process gases, there is a protective gas connection and a manual or automatic gas supply system, the exhaust gases can be removed via an exhaust air hood or stainless steel chimney to an on site extraction system.
