Product information "Unigloves White Pearl Nitrile Gloves, white, powder-free, 100 pieces, size XL, GP0025"
In laboratories and medical practices, gloves are often changed several times an hour. Unigloves White Pearl nitrile gloves come in a dispenser box with 100 pieces. They are white, powder-free and made of nitrile. According to the manufacturer’s declaration of conformity, they are a Class I medical device and at the same time personal protective equipment of Category III with chemical protection according to EN ISO 374-1 Type C. They are available in sizes XS to XL.
Class I medical device according to EN 455
The manufacturer’s declaration of conformity lists the White Pearl in the product family of examination gloves, risk class I according to Annex VIII of Regulation (EU) 2017/745. EN 455-1, EN 455-2, EN 455-3 and EN 455-4 are applied. As the intended purpose, the declaration names the protection of patients, users and third parties from diseases as well as temporary protection against bacteria, fungi, viruses and certain chemicals. The non-sterile single-use gloves can be used in the laboratory, in the medical sector and in the industrial sector.
The specification sheet names three tests with AQL: Watertightness with 1,000 ml is tested according to EN 455-1 at AQL 1.5 (inspection level G-1). Visible defects are checked at AQL 2.5 (G-1), dimensions and physical properties at AQL 4.0 (S-2).
Chemical protection Type C: tested against sodium hydroxide
Type C means that the glove passes one test chemical of the standard EN ISO 374-1. For the White Pearl, this is sodium hydroxide 40 % (code letter K). It achieves permeation level 6, which corresponds to a breakthrough time of more than 480 minutes, with a degradation of minus 5.3 % according to EN ISO 374-4. In addition, the glove is tested against bacteria, fungi and viruses according to EN ISO 374-5 and meets EN ISO 21420.
For other chemicals, the manufacturer gives no measured values. Anyone working with hydrogen peroxide, formaldehyde or other substances selects the glove on the basis of Type A or Type B and the measured values stated there.
Thickness, surface and powder
The thickness is 0.05 mm at the cuff, 0.07 mm on the palm and 0.10 mm at the fingertips, measured as a single wall in each case. The surface is micro-rough, the cuff is rolled and the fit is ambidextrous. Residual powder is at most 2.0 mg per glove. According to the specification sheet, the glove contains no proteins. A glove of size M weighs 3.5 g.
The median force at break is at least 6.0 N before and after ageing. The tensile strength is at least 14 MPa, the elongation at break before ageing at least 500 % and afterwards at least 400 %. The manufacturer gives a shelf life of 5 years. Manufacture is according to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.
Accelerators and allergies
The material is nitrile, and according to the manufacturer the glove is latex-free. However, the manufacturer points out that it contains accelerators, which can trigger allergic reactions. In the case of known allergies, use is to be clarified beforehand.
Food contact according to the manufacturer
The manufacturer’s specification sheet (as of 10/2025) lists ‘Food approved’ under the standards. This is a manufacturer’s statement on the glove.
