SONOREX SUPER RK 156 – Ultrasonic bath for daily laboratory cleaning
The Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 156 is an ultrasonic bath with a total capacity of 6.0 litres (4.0 litres working capacity), operating at an ultrasonic frequency of 35 kHz. It generates a peak power of 640 W at a rated power of 160 W, making it suitable for the gentle yet effective cleaning of laboratory glassware, instruments and small parts using cavitation. The ultrasonic treatment time can be continuously adjusted between 1 and 15 minutes (±5 %) using the rotary knob; alternatively, continuous operation is available. This model from the RK 156 series is not fitted with a heater and is therefore designed for applications where a temperature-controlled cleaning fluid is not required.
Robust construction and simple operation
The tank and housing of the SONOREX SUPER RK 156 are made of 1.4301 stainless steel; the tank wall thickness is 1.0 mm. A fill-level mark facilitates correct filling of the tank; draining is carried out via a G 1/4 ball valve with a 25 cm long hose on the right-hand side of the unit. The unit is powered by 230 V~ (±10 %), 50/60 Hz; the 2-metre power cable is permanently attached to the unit. With an IP 32 protection rating and a weight of 7.7 kg, the ultrasonic bath is compact and designed for use on a laboratory bench.
Laboratory applications
Typical applications for an ultrasonic bath of this design include the cleaning of laboratory glassware and small parts, the pre-cleaning and preparation of instruments, and the degassing of solvents prior to analytical applications. Thanks to its compact size, the SONOREX SUPER RK 156 is suitable both for regular use in routine laboratory work and as a supplementary cleaning unit alongside larger ultrasonic baths.
