Larger batches and a cleaning medium that places greater demands on the standard tank: Bandelin offers the SONOREX SUPER RK 1028 CH for this combination. It combines a welded tank made of 1.4404 stainless steel (AISI 316L) with a heating element that heats the bath to up to 80 °C, with a total capacity of 45 litres and a working capacity of 30 litres. Like the other models in the SUPER-RK series, it is classified as a Class I medical device in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and is designed for use in laboratories, medical practices and workshops.Heater and durable bath in a single unitThe heating power is 1,450 watts when operating at 230 volts or 1,400 watts at 115 volts, and the bath temperature can be continuously adjusted between 30 and 80 °C; a dry-run protection feature switches off the heater if the water level is too low. As with the RK 1028 C, the tank is made of welded 1.4404 steel with a thickness of 2.0 mm; compared to the standard tank made of 1.4301, it is generally more resistant to chlorides and more aggressive cleaning agents. At 35 kHz, the unit delivers a peak power of 1,200 watts at a rated power of 300 watts via eight transducer systems, distributed by the automatic SweepTec function to prevent standing waves in the ultrasonic field.Selection guide: with or without heating, which tankAnyone who regularly works with heat and simultaneously requires a more robust tank, for example, for frequent changes of concentrate, will be well served by the RK 1028 CH. If the standard 1.4301 tank is sufficient but a heating element is still required, the RK 1028 H, with a total capacity of 28 litres, is the suitable choice. If heating is not required but a more robust bath is, the RK 1028 C remains the option as an unheated variant with the same bath specifications. For smaller batches, Bandelin offers, amongst others, the RK 514 BH with a capacity of 18.7 litres and the RK 156 BH with a narrow, elongated basin for 9 litres within the SUPER-RK range.Use and maintenanceThe tank is filled to a working capacity of 30 litres; the total volume of 45 litres applies to the tank filled to the brim without a load. According to Bandelin, the RK 1028 CH is fitted with a 50 cm long hose connected to the G 1/2 ball valve on the left-hand side of the unit, which facilitates changing the medium via an external container. The hanging basket and lid are not included in the Scope of delivery; the RK 1028 CH is compatible with baskets K 28 C, K 28 CS, K 28 CA or K 28 CV, together with lids D 1028 C or D 1028 CS. When several beakers, sieves or larger sets of instruments need to be cleaned at the same time, 9 or 10 litres quickly proves to be insufficient. The Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 514 BH has a total capacity of 18.7 litres and a working capacity of 12.5 litres, a noticeably greater capacity, whilst remaining part of the SUPER RK series operated by a rotary handle.Four oscillation systems for larger batchesAt an operating frequency of 35 kHz, 860 watts of peak power and 215 watts of rated power are distributed across four oscillation systems; the SweepTec function ensures that, even with this larger tank volume, no standing waves are generated and cavitation acts uniformly, regardless of whether there are several smaller objects or a single large beaker in the bath.600-watt heater for demanding cleaning tasksThe heater covers a range of 30 to 80 °C, with dry-run protection to prevent damage if the liquid level is too low. Cleaning duration and temperature can be adjusted independently using two rotary knobs; the timer ranges from 1 to 15 minutes (± 5 %) or continuous operation for longer cleaning cycles.Larger tank than the smaller SUPER RK modelsThe tank and housing are made of 1.4301 stainless steel with a thickness of 1.0 mm; the internal dimensions of 325 x 300 x 200 mm offer significantly more space than the smaller SUPER RK models. With external dimensions of 355 x 325 x 385 mm and a net weight of 9.8 kg, the unit remains portable. A G 1/2 ball valve on the left-hand side allows the larger volume of water to be drained without tilting the unit.Selection guide: when the RK 514 BH is suitableIf the capacity of the RK 510 H (9.7 litres) is no longer sufficient because several beakers or a larger set of instruments need to be cleaned simultaneously on a regular basis, the RK 514 BH, with a capacity of 18.7 litres, is the next logical step within the SUPER RK series. If even more capacity is required, for example, for entire sieves or larger batches, models such as the RK 1028 H, with a capacity of 28 litres, are available.Product range overview: SUPER RK, DIGITEC DT and smart STEven with larger volumes, the SUPER RK series retains its simple rotary-knob operation. For digital button operation with an LED display and automatic DEGAS degassing in a similar size class, the DIGITEC DT 512 H with a 13-litre capacity is available; for touchscreen operation with programme memory, the smart ST series is available. In addition to Bandelin SONOREX, Elma Elmasonic ultrasonic baths are also available.Use and maintenanceThe working capacity of 12.5 litres is significantly less than the total capacity of 18.7 litres, allowing several beakers to be placed inside at the same time without the liquid spilling over the rim. A concentrate from Bandelin’s TICKOPUR range is suitable for the cleaning fluid; with this volume, a more generous refill quantity is recommended. Before the first cycle with freshly prepared medium, a short run-in period in continuous operation helps to remove trapped air. After the final cleaning cycle of the day, the tank can be quickly emptied via the ball valve.Typical applicationsCleaning several beakers or larger laboratory glassware items simultaneouslyCleaning of sieve inserts and larger sets of instrumentsHeat-assisted batch cleaning in workshops and industryDegassing of larger volumes of aqueous solutions prior to analysisFrequently asked questionsHow much does the tank actually hold? The working capacity is 12.5 litres, and the total capacity is 18.7 litres. What temperature range is possible?30 to 80 °C, with dry-run protection for the heater.Where is the drain? On the left, as a ball valve with a G 1/2 connection. Is a basket included? No, the K 14 B or, alternatively, the K 14 AZ hanging basket, as well as the D 514 lid, are available separately.Technical detailsTotal capacity / Working capacity18.7 l / 12.5 lInternal dimensions of the tank (L x W x D)325 x 300 x 200 mmExternal dimensions (L x W x H)355 x 325 x 385 mmWeight (net)9.8 kgUltrasonic frequency35 kHzUltrasonic powerPeak power 860 W, rated power 215 W, 4 vibration systemsHeating power600 W, temperature range 30 to 80 °C, dry-run protectionTimer1 to 15 minutes (± 5 %) or continuous operationOperationRotary knobFunctionsSweepTec, pulse functionTank materialStainless steel 1.4301, thickness 1.0 mmHousing materialStainless steel 1.4301DrainBall valve G 1/2, left-hand sideMains connection230 V~ (± 10 %), 50/60 Hz, optionally 115 V~, 2 m fixed mains lead, protection class ICurrent consumption230 V 3.6 A / 115 V 7.1 ADegree of protectionIP 32Medical device classClass I (Regulation (EU) 2017/745)ComplianceLow Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU, EMC Directive 2014/30/EU, RoHS Directive 2011/65/EUPackaging dimensions475 x 445 x 465 mmScope of delivery1x Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 514 BH ultrasonic bath with heaterFixed mains lead (2 m)Operating instructionsThe hanging basket and lid are not included in the scope of delivery and are available separately.Individual requirements and procurement serviceFor the K 14 B hanging basket, the alternative K 14 AZ basket, the D 514 lid or a larger model such as the RK 1028 H, there is an individual procurement need. Where instruments or small parts also need to be cleaned of grease and residues using heat, a cold ultrasonic bath is often not sufficient. The Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 100 H features its own heating system within its compact 3.0-litre capacity, making it the smallest heated model in the SUPER RK series.Heating from 30 to 80 °CThe 140-watt heater covers a temperature range of 30 to 80 °C and is fitted with dry-run protection, which switches the heater off as soon as there is insufficient liquid in the tank. Combined with an operating frequency of 35 kHz, a peak power of 320 watts and a nominal power of 80 watts, it can remove dirt that would otherwise require more time or a more aggressive cleaning agent at room temperature. One vibration system for 2.0 litres of working capacityThe total capacity of 3.0 litres (working capacity 2.0 litres) is subjected to ultrasonic treatment via a single vibration system, whilst the SweepTec function prevents standing waves in the tank. The tank and housing are made of 1.4301 stainless steel; the tank is 1.0 mm thick. The unit is operated via a rotary knob; the cleaning duration and bath temperature can be set independently of one another, whilst the timer ranges from 1 to 15 minutes (± 5 %) or continuous operation.Compact and without a drain connectionAs with the smaller RK 31, the data sheet for the RK 100 H makes no mention of a ball valve; ‘drain: -’ is explicitly stated in the technical specifications. With a capacity of 3.0 litres, the tank can still be easily emptied after cleaning. With external dimensions of 260 x 160 x 250 mm and a net weight of 3.5 kg, the appliance fits easily even on smaller worktops.Decision guide: when is it worth opting for the next size up?The RK 100 H is usually sufficient for individual instruments, spectacles or small tools. If you regularly need to clean several items at once or slightly larger objects, the RK 103 H (4.0 litres), which is slightly larger and fitted with a drain, offers a practical advantage when changing the cleaning solution. For beakers or small sieves, the RK 510 H, with a capacity of 9.7 litres, is the next step up within the SUPER RK series.SUPER RK or smart ST: two ways to achieve the same volumeBandelin also offers the same 3.0-litre tank size in its digital smart ST range, which features a touchscreen, fine-tuned power control and programme memory instead of a rotary knob. Those wishing to save cleaning cycles in a reproducible manner are better off with the smart ST 102 H, whilst those who prefer simple, robust operation without electronics should stick with the RK 100 H. In addition to Bandelin SONOREX, we also offer Elma Elmasonic ultrasonic baths in our range.Use and MaintenanceThe 2.0-litre capacity provides space for the items to be cleaned; if filled to the brim, the tank will overflow when the items are placed inside. A concentrate from Bandelin’s TICKOPUR range is suitable for use as the cleaning fluid and is available separately via the procurement service. As the RK 100 H does not have an automatic degassing function, a short initial run in continuous operation helps to expel dissolved air from freshly prepared liquid before the items to be cleaned are loaded. After the last cycle of the day, the tank should be emptied and wiped down to prevent any cleaning agent residues from settling.Typical applicationsHeat-assisted cleaning of small instruments in practices and laboratoriesDegreasing small metal and plastic partsCleaning spectacles, watches and jewelleryPreliminary cleaning of laboratory glassware prior to further processingFrequently Asked QuestionsWhat temperature does the RK 100 H reach? The heater operates at temperatures ranging from 30 to 80 °C, controlled via the rotary knob.Is there a drain for emptying? No, according to the data sheet, this model does not have a ball valve; the tank is simply tipped out. What is the difference between the RK 100 H and the RK 31?Both are part of the small SUPER RK range; the RK 100 H also has a 140-watt heating element and a slightly larger capacity (3.0 litres instead of 0.9 litres). Is a basket included in the scope of delivery? No, the K 3 C insert basket, the PK 2 C plastic basket and the D 100 lid are available separately.Technical detailsTotal capacity / Working capacity3.0 l / 2.0 lInternal dimensions of the tank (L x W x D)240 x 140 x 100 mmExternal dimensions (L x W x H)260 x 160 x 250 mmWeight (net)3.5 kgUltrasonic frequency35 kHzUltrasonic powerPeak power 320 W, nominal power 80 W, 1 vibration systemHeating power140 W, temperature range 30 to 80 °C, dry-run protectionTimer1 to 15 minutes (± 5 %) or continuous operationOperationRotary knobFunctionsSweepTec, pulse functionTank materialStainless steel 1.4301, thickness 1.0 mmCasing materialStainless steel 1.4301Drainno drain/ball valveMains connection230 V~ (± 10 %), 50/60 Hz, optionally 115 V~, 2 m fixed mains lead, protection class ICurrent consumption230 V 1.0 A / 115 V 2.0 ADegree of protectionIP 32Medical device classClass I (Regulation (EU) 2017/745)ConformityLow Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU, EMC Directive 2014/30/EU, RoHS Directive 2011/65/EUPackaging dimensions365 x 265 x 315 mmScope of delivery1x Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 100 H ultrasonic bath with heatingFixed power cable (2 m)Instructions for useThe insert basket and lid are not included in the scope of delivery and are available separately.Individual requirements and procurement serviceThere is a specific procurement requirement for the K 3 C insert basket, the PK 2 C plastic basket, the D 100 lid or a model with a drain such as the RK 103 H. The same tank as the RK 510, but with a heater: The Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 510 H also has a capacity of 9.7 litres (6.6 litres working volume) and adds a 400-watt heater to its unheated counterpart for cleaning processes that require a heated medium.400-watt heating element with dry-run protectionThe heating element operates between 30 and 80 °C and switches off automatically via the integrated dry-run protection as soon as there is insufficient liquid in the tank. Cleaning duration and temperature are set using two separate rotary knobs; the timer ranges from 1 to 15 minutes (± 5 %) or continuous operation.Same ultrasonic power as the unheated RK 510At an operating frequency of 35 kHz, the RK 510 H, like the RK 510, delivers 640 watts of peak power and 160 watts of rated power via four transducer systems, distributed evenly throughout the tank by the SweepTec function. The tank and housing are made of 1.4301 stainless steel; the tank is 1.0 mm thick with internal dimensions of 300 x 240 x 150 mm.Slightly heavier due to the heating technologyWith a net weight of 7.5 kg, the RK 510 H is only slightly heavier than the unheated RK 510 (7.2 kg); the external dimensions of 325 x 265 x 300 mm are identical. A G 1/2 ball valve on the left-hand side allows the tank to be emptied without lifting it. Both variants share the same IP 32 protection rating and are classified as a Class I medical device in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745.When the heating system is worth itGrease, oil or wax residues dissolve much more quickly in heated cleaning fluid than at room temperature; likewise, many cleaning concentrates only become fully effective above a certain temperature. Anyone who regularly deals with such contaminants will benefit from the RK 510 H. If, on the other hand, you work exclusively with pre-heated or cold cleaning media, the RK 510, which has the same design, saves on the additional heating technology.Product range: SUPER RK, DIGITEC DT and smart STWithin the SUPER RK series, the range of tank capacities extends from 0.9 litres (RK 31) to 58 litres (RK 1050), all featuring rotary knob controls. The DIGITEC DT series is available for digital button operation with an LED display and automatic degassing, whilst the smart ST series offers touchscreen operation with programme memory. We also offer Elma Elmasonic ultrasonic baths as a second brand in our range.Use and maintenanceThe working capacity of 6.6 litres is less than the total capacity of 9.7 litres, ensuring that heated water does not spill over the rim when beakers or instruments are placed inside. A concentrate from Bandelin’s TICKOPUR range is suitable for the cleaning solution; it usually dissolves even more effectively at higher temperatures. Before the first cycle with a freshly prepared solution, a short initial run in continuous operation helps to expel dissolved air. After the last cleaning cycle of the day, the tank, whilst still warm, should be drained via the ball valve and wiped dry.Typical applicationsRemoval of grease and oil residues at elevated bath temperaturesHeat-assisted cleaning of instruments and laboratory glasswareCleaning processes using temperature-activated concentratesCleaning of multiple beakers or small parts in a single batchFrequently asked questionsWhat is the difference between the RK 510 H and the RK 510?Both share the same tank; the RK 510 H also has a 400-watt heater with a temperature range of 30 to 80 °C.What is the usable working capacity?6.6 litres out of a total capacity of 9.7 litres.Where is the drain? On the left, as a ball valve with a G 1/2 connection. Is a basket included in the scope of delivery? No, the K 10 insert basket and the D 510 lid are available separately.Technical detailsTotal capacity / Working capacity9.7 l / 6.6 lInternal dimensions of the tank (L x W x D)300 x 240 x 150 mmExternal dimensions (L x W x H)325 x 265 x 300 mmWeight (net)7.5 kgUltrasonic frequency35 kHzUltrasonic powerPeak power 640 W, rated power 160 W, 4 vibration systemsHeating power400 W, temperature range 30 to 80 °C, dry-run protectionTimer1 to 15 minutes (± 5 %) or continuous operationOperationRotary knobFunctionsSweepTec, pulse functionTank materialStainless steel 1.4301, thickness 1.0 mmHousing materialStainless steel 1.4301DrainBall valve G 1/2, left-hand sideMains connection230 V~ (± 10 %), 50/60 Hz, optionally 115 V~, 2 m fixed mains lead, protection class ICurrent consumption230 V 2.5 A / 115 V 4.9 AProtection ratingIP 32Medical device classClass I (Regulation (EU) 2017/745)ConformityLow Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU, EMC Directive 2014/30/EU, RoHS Directive 2011/65/EUPackaging dimensions450 x 390 x 375 mmScope of delivery1x Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 510 H ultrasonic bath with heaterFixed mains lead (2 m)Instructions for useThe insert basket and lid are not included in the scope of delivery and are available separately.Individual requirements and procurement serviceThe K 10 insert basket, the D 510 lid or the unheated RK 510 version are available on request. Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 1028 Ultrasonic Bath for Laboratories and Clinics The Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 1028 ultrasonic bath is a high-performance cleaning system from the SUPER-RK series, designed for professional use in laboratories, hospitals and industry. With a tank capacity of 28 litres and a usable working volume of 19 litres, this ultrasonic bath offers sufficient space for larger batches of laboratory glassware, instruments and small parts. The tank is made of 1.4301 stainless steel with a wall thickness of 1.0 mm and is therefore designed for continuous use in demanding laboratory environments where cleaning takes place several times a day. Typical applications for this ultrasonic bath include the gentle cleaning of laboratory glassware and small parts, the cleaning of instruments in medical practices and hospitals, and the degassing of solvents prior to analytical processes. Thanks to the combination of a peak power of 1,200 W and a rated power of 300 W at an operating frequency of 35 kHz, the unit achieves an intensive yet gentle cavitation effect that works reliably even on stubborn residues on pipettes, beakers and tools. The generous tank capacity of 28 litres is also well suited to the simultaneous cleaning of several instruments or vessels in a single cycle, which noticeably increases throughput in day-to-day laboratory work. SweepTec technology and intuitive operation A key feature is the fully automatic SweepTec function, which prevents standing waves in the ultrasonic field and thus ensures uniform cleaning performance throughout the entire tank volume, including in the peripheral areas of the tank, which are often cleaned less thoroughly in simpler ultrasonic baths. Operation is via a simple rotary knob for setting the cleaning duration, selectable between 1 and 15 minutes (± 5 %) or in continuous operation for longer cleaning cycles. A fill-level mark facilitates correct filling with cleaning or disinfectant solution, whilst the G 3/4 ball valve fitted on the side, complete with a 50 cm hose, allows for straightforward and back-friendly emptying of the tank. Side handles ensure safe transport and handling during everyday laboratory use, whilst the 2-metre power cable, which is permanently attached to the unit, provides additional flexibility when positioning the unit at the workstation. Classified as a Class I medical device in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and with an IP 32 protection rating, the SONOREX SUPER RK 1028 is also suitable for regulated environments such as medical practices or clinics, where traceability and documentation requirements are important. Ultrasonic baths with a simple rotary knob reach their limits as soon as several batches are to be run in succession at exactly the same temperature. The Bandelin SONOREX DIGITEC DT 512 H solves this problem with push-button controls and an LED display that shows the remaining time as well as the setpoint and actual bath temperature. With a total volume of 13.0 l and a working capacity of 8.7 l, this ultrasonic bath is suitable for medium-sized batches from laboratories, workshops or medical practices, such as laboratory glassware, tools or small parts from manufacturing.Digital control with LED displayThe buttons replace the rotary knob found on the SUPER-RK series, whilst an LED display simultaneously shows the remaining cleaning time as well as the setpoint and actual temperature values. The time can be set in fixed increments of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes; alternatively, continuous operation is available, in each case with a tolerance of ±5 %. If the appliance remains unused for 12 hours without any buttons being pressed, the automatic safety shut-off switches it off.SweepTec, DEGAS and heating up to 80 °CThe fully automatic SweepTec function distributes the ultrasound evenly throughout the tank and prevents standing waves, which would otherwise lead to uneven cleaning. DEGAS rapidly degasses freshly prepared cleaning fluid, reducing the waiting time until the ultrasound takes full effect. The heating system covers a range of 20 to 80 °C and features built-in protection against delayed boiling and dry-run protection. With a nominal power of 215 watts and a peak power of 860 watts, distributed across four vibration systems, the bath generates cavitation.Which DIGITEC model is suitable: DT 100 H or DT 512 HWithin the DIGITEC range, the models differ primarily in terms of volume. The DT 100 H has a capacity of 3.0 l and is suitable for small quantities, such as individual tools, spectacles or small laboratory parts. The DT 512 H, with a total volume of 13.0 l and a working capacity of 8.7 l, is designed for medium-sized batches, such as several laboratory bottles at once or larger series of workpieces. Anyone who regularly cleans larger quantities or bulkier parts will find that the DT 512 H eliminates the need for multiple cycles.Differences from the SUPER RK and smart STThe SUPER RK series is operated via a traditional rotary knob, without a digital display or DEGAS function. The smart ST series goes one step further than DIGITEC, featuring a touchscreen, finely adjustable power settings from 10 to 100 % in 1 % increments, and a system bus interface for a docking station. The DIGITEC DT 512 H falls technically between the two, featuring a digital time and temperature display, but without a touchscreen or the additional programme memory of the smart ST range. The difference to the rotary-knob series is also evident in the protection rating: IP 33 instead of IP 32 for the SUPER RK.Day-to-day use and maintenanceThe drain is controlled via a G 1/2 ball valve on the left-hand side, which makes it easier to change the cleaning medium between batches. The basket and lid are not included in the scope of delivery; the K 10 B insert basket and the D 510 lid are suitable for the DT 512 H. The power cable, 2 metres long, is permanently attached to the unit; operation is possible at either 230 V or 115 V at 50/60 Hz. With a total capacity of 58 litres and a working capacity of 41 litres, the Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 1050 is the largest model in the SUPER-RK series. It operates without a heating element and features a welded tank made from high-alloy stainless steel 1.4404 (AISI 316L), a material otherwise only used in the 1028-C/CH variants, though here in a significantly larger size. Like the other units in the series, the RK 1050 is classified as a Class I medical device in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745.Sixteen vibration systems for large-volume cleaningAt 35 kHz, the RK 1050 achieves a peak power of 2,400 watts and a nominal power of 600 watts, distributed across 16 vibration systems in the base of the tank, more than any other model in this series. The automatic SweepTec function modulates the acoustic field and prevents standing waves, ensuring that the cavitation effect remains uniform even across the large tank surface area of 600 x 500 mm. The tank is 2.0 mm thick, and the housing is made from the standard material 1.4301. A pulse function briefly increases the energy output for heavily soiled items.Selection guide: Batch size and tank materialWith a working capacity of 41 litres, the RK 1050 significantly outperforms both the RK 1040 (28 litres) and the 1028 model (up to 30 litres). Those who do not require this capacity but still wish to have the more durable 1.4404 tank will find the RK 1028 C, with a total capacity of 45 litres, to be the smaller alternative made from the same tank material. For those who require a heater in addition to a smaller volume, this combination is available in the RK 1028 CH. A heater is not available for the RK 1050; this model is only available as an unheated version. The 1050 in the SUPER-RK familyBandelin’s SUPER-RK series covers volumes ranging from less than one litre for the RK 31 up to 58 litres for the RK 1050, with or without a heater, and with either a standard or a 1.4404 tank. For applications requiring a digital display or touchscreen operation, Bandelin offers the DIGITEC DT and smart ST series, although these are currently only available in smaller sizes. In addition to Bandelin, ultrasonic baths from Elma are also available; their Elmasonic P series utilises switchable dual-frequency technology, offering an alternative for laboratories that do not wish to clean continuously at 35 kHz.Typical applicationsLarge-volume cleaning of laboratory glassware, tools and components in a single operationIndustrial parts cleaning with high throughputUse with more aggressive cleaning concentrates thanks to the durable 1.4404 tankDegassing of larger quantities of cleaning media prior to analytical or industrial processesOperation and maintenanceThe tank is filled to a working capacity of 41 litres; the total volume of 58 litres refers to the tank filled to the brim without any load. The ball valve on the drain is used for emptying; according to Bandelin, this is a G 1/2-inch connection on the left-hand side of the unit. The K 50 insert basket and the matching D 1050 C lid are available as accessories but are not included in the scope of delivery. Due to its net weight of 30.0 kg and gross weight of 56.3 kg, the RK 1050 is dispatched in a carton on a Euro pallet; the power cable is 2 metres long and permanently fitted.Frequently Asked QuestionsHow many vibration systems does the RK 1050 have?16 vibration systems are fitted into the base of the tank, more than any other model in this series. Is there a heated version? No, the RK 1050 is available exclusively as an unheated model. How is the unit delivered?Due to its gross weight of 56.3 kg, the RK 1050 is shipped in a carton on a Euro pallet. Is the unit suitable for more aggressive cleaning agents? The welded tank made from 1.4404 is generally more resistant to chlorides than the standard material 1.4301; however, Bandelin does not specify approval for any specific chemicals.Technical detailsTotal capacity / Working capacity58.0 l / 41.0 lInternal dimensions of tank (L x W x D)600 x 500 x 200 mmExternal dimensions (L x W x H)640 x 540 x 425 mm, excluding handles/ball valve, with feetWeight (net)30.0 kgShipping weight (gross)56.3 kg, carton on Euro palletUltrasonic frequency35 kHzUltrasonic powerPeak power 2,400 W, nominal power 600 W, 16 vibration systemsHeatingNot applicable, unheated modelTimer1 to 15 minutes (±5 %) or continuous operationOperationRotary knobFunctionsSweepTec, pulse functionTank materialStainless steel 1.4404 (AISI 316L), welded, thickness 2.0 mmHousing materialStainless steel 1.4301DrainBall valve G 1/2, left-hand sideMains connection230 V~ (±10 %), 50/60 Hz, optionally 115 V~, 2 m fixed mains lead, protection class ICurrent consumption230 V 2.7 A / 115 V 5.3 ADegree of protectionIP 32PackagingCarton on a Euro pallet, 1200 x 800 x 740 mmMedical device classClass I in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745Scope of delivery1x Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 1050 ultrasonic bathPermanently attached mains cable (2 m)Instructions for useThe K 50 insert basket and D 1050 C lid are not included in the scope of delivery and are available separately as accessories.Individual requirements and procurement serviceOur procurement service can assist you in finding a suitable insert basket, lid or cleaning concentrates for the SONOREX SUPER RK 1050.
Small components, tweezers or small laboratory parts often do not require a large tank volume, but rather a reliable temperature and simple digital control. The Bandelin SONOREX DIGITEC DT 100 H offers exactly that in a compact design: a total volume of 3.0 l, a working capacity of 2.0 l, and push-button operation with an LED display showing the remaining time and bath temperature. For a laboratory workstation or a workbench in a workshop, external dimensions of 260 x 160 x 250 millimetres (L x W x H, excluding handles) are sufficient.Compact volume for small batchesWith a total volume of 3.0 l and a working capacity of 2.0 l, the DT 100 H is designed for smaller cleaning volumes; a vibration system delivers 80 watts of nominal power and 320 watts of peak power. This is sufficient for individual tools, small metal or plastic parts, and laboratory accessories that do not accumulate in large batches. The internal dimensions of the tank are 240 x 140 x 100 millimetres.Buttons instead of a rotary knob, a display instead of a scaleButtons are used for operation instead of a rotary knob, whilst an LED display shows the remaining time as well as the setpoint and actual bath temperature simultaneously. The time can be selected in fixed increments from 1 to 30 minutes or set to continuous operation, in each case with a tolerance of ±5 %. The appliance switches off automatically after 12 hours without any buttons being pressed.Heating up to 80 °CThe 140-watt heating power covers a temperature range of 20 to 80 °C; a dry-run protection feature prevents damage should the tank accidentally run without liquid. Additionally, the unit features SweepTec for even sound distribution, DEGAS for rapid degassing, and a pulse function for varying cleaning intensity.DT 100 H or DT 512 H: which model is suitableFor small quantities such as tweezers, spectacles, jewellery or individual laboratory items, the DT 100 H with a 3.0-litre capacity is a suitable choice. If you regularly process larger batches, such as several laboratory bottles or bulkier items, the DT 512 H, with a total volume of 13.0 l and significantly higher performance, is the more suitable addition.Difference from the SUPER RK 100 H and smart ST 102 HThe SUPER RK 100 H has the same tank size but is operated via a traditional rotary knob, without a digital display or the DEGAS function. The smart ST 102 H offers more advanced technical features: a touchscreen, power adjustment from 10 to 100 % in 1 % increments, a freely selectable timer up to 8 hours and 12 programme memory slots. The DIGITEC DT 100 H falls somewhere in between and offers digital time and temperature control with a reasonable level of operational complexity.Operation without a drain tapThe DT 100 H has no drain or ball valve. To change the cleaning fluid, the tank is emptied directly or drained using a suction device. The K 3 C insert basket or the PK 2 C plastic basket, as well as the D 100 lid, both available separately, are compatible with the unit. The power cable is permanently fitted and measures 2 metres; the unit can be connected to either 230 V or 115 V at 50/60 Hz.Typical applicationsCleaning of small tools, tweezers and laboratory accessoriesProcessing of small metal or plastic parts in the workshopPre-cleaning of individual components prior to assembly or further processingCleaning tasks in confined spaces in the laboratory or at the workbenchFrequently asked questionsDoes the DT 100 H have a drain tap?No, the DT 100 H has no drain; the tank is emptied directly. Is the unit a medical device?Yes, Class I in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745.Which accessories are compatible with the DT 100 H?The K 3 C insert basket or the PK 2 C plastic basket, as well as the D 100 lid; neither of these is included in the scope of delivery. How does the DT 100 H differ from the heated SUPER RK 100 H?Both models have the same tank size, but the SUPER RK 100 H is operated via a rotary knob, whilst the DT 100 H is operated via buttons with an LED display and an additional DEGAS function. How long does the appliance run without any input before it switches off? After 12 hours without any buttons being pressed, the automatic safety shut-off switches the appliance off.Technical detailsTotal volume3.0 lWorking capacity2.0 lInternal dimensions of the tank (L x W x D)240 x 140 x 100 mmExternal dimensions (L x W x H)260 x 160 x 250 mm (excluding handles/ball valve, including feet)Weightnet 3.5 kg / gross 4.4 kgTank materialStainless steel 1.4301, 1.0 mmUltrasonic frequency35 kHzUltrasonic power80 W nominal power, 320 W peak power, 1 vibration systemHeating power140 WTemperature range20 to 80 °CTimer1/2/3/4/5/10/15/30 minutes (±5 %) or continuous operation, automatic safety shut-off after 12 hoursOperationButtons, LED display showing remaining time and setpoint/actual bath temperatureFunctionsSweepTec, DEGAS rapid degassing, pulse function, dry-run protection for the heaterDrainNo drain/ball valveMains connection230 V AC (±10 %), 50/60 Hz, optionally 115 V AC, 2 m fixed power cable, Protection Class ICurrent consumption230 V 1.0 A / 115 V 2.0 AProtection ratingIP 33ClassificationClass I medical device (EU 2017/745)Scope of delivery1x Bandelin SONOREX DIGITEC DT 100 H ultrasonic bathFixed mains lead (2 m)Instructions for useThe K 3 C insert basket or PK 2 C plastic basket and D 100 lid are not included in the scope of delivery and are available separately.Individual requirements and procurement serviceFor a suitable insert basket, lid or a larger DIGITEC model, please contact our procurement service.

Anyone wishing to clean large quantities of laboratory glassware, instruments or workpieces needs a basin that holds more than a tabletop unit, yet still fits on the worktop. The Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 1028 H offers exactly this intermediate size: a total capacity of 28 litres, a working capacity of 19 litres and a heater that brings the bath up to 80 °C. Bandelin lists this ultrasonic bath with heating as a Class I medical device in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745. The suitability of instruments for cleaning depends on the instrument manufacturer’s specifications.Heated cleaning with a uniform ultrasonic fieldThe 1,300-watt heater regulates the bath temperature continuously between 30 and 80 °C and switches off via the dry-run protection if the water level is too low. Warmer water dissolves fats and dried-on residues more quickly than cold water, which is why the heating function is particularly useful for soiling that comes away only slowly at room temperature. The SweepTec function automatically modulates the ultrasonic field and prevents standing waves in the tank, so that the cavitation effect also reaches the edge areas of the tank. At an operating frequency of 35 kHz, the unit achieves a peak power of 1200 watts with a nominal power of 300 watts; in addition, a pulse function can be activated to provide a brief surge of energy.Selection guide: When is the RK 1028 H worthwhile? When choosing a model from the SUPER-RK series, the batch size is the key factor. With a working capacity of 19 litres, the RK 1028 H is sufficient for several flasks, beakers or a larger number of small parts in a single cleaning cycle; for individual instruments or small batches, the more compact models in the range, such as the RK 100 H with a 3-litre capacity or the RK 510 H with a 9.7-litre capacity, are often sufficient. For cleaning agents that have a more corrosive effect on the standard tank, for example, when more aggressive concentrates are used frequently, the sister models RK 1028 C and RK 1028 CH are available with a welded tank made from molybdenum-alloyed stainless steel 1.4404, which is generally more resistant to chlorides than the 1.4301 material used here. The tank of the RK 1028 H is 1.0 mm thick. The RK 1028 range and alternativesWithin the 1028 size range, the three variants differ only in terms of tank material and heating element: The RK 1028 H features the standard 1.4301 tank and a heating element; the RK 1028 C features the higher-grade 1.4404 tank without a heating element; and the RK 1028 CH combines both. Those who prefer a digital display and push-button controls to a rotary knob will find comparable technology in Bandelin’s SONOREX-DIGITEC range, featuring an LED display for setpoint and actual temperature values; however, this is currently only available in smaller sizes up to 13 litres. In addition to Bandelin, there are also ultrasonic baths from Elma, such as the Elmasonic P series with switchable dual-frequency technology, for laboratories that wish to switch between two frequencies rather than operating continuously at 35 kHz.Use and maintenanceTo ensure consistent cleaning results, the tank should be filled to a working capacity of 19 litres, not to the total volume of 28 litres; the total volume refers to the tank filled to the brim without the items to be cleaned. To change the cleaning solution, the bath can be drained via the ball valve on the drain, specified in the data sheet as G 1/2 inch on the left-hand side of the unit. One size larger than the RK 100 H, but with the same simple operating concept: The Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 103 H has a total capacity of 4.0 litres and a working capacity of 2.7 litres for cleaning tasks where a little more space is needed for instruments or small parts, without having to switch to a significantly larger bath.Greater performance thanks to two vibration systemsInstead of a single vibration system, as in the RK 100 H, the RK 103 H features two vibration systems operating in parallel, delivering a combined peak power of 560 watts at a nominal power of 140 watts, whilst maintaining a constant operating frequency of 35 kHz. The SweepTec function ensures that this power is distributed evenly across the slightly larger tank surface without standing waves forming.200-watt heater up to 80 °CAs with the other H models in the series, the integrated heater covers a range from 30 to 80 °C, with 200 watts of heating power and dry-run protection. Cleaning duration and temperature are set separately via two rotary knobs; the timer ranges from 1 to 15 minutes (± 5 %) or continuous operation.Ball valve drain as a practical difference from the RK 100 HUnlike the RK 100 H, the RK 103 H features a drain: a G 1/4 ball valve on the right-hand side allows for controlled emptying without having to lift or tilt the tank. Given the frequent changes of medium in everyday laboratory work, this is a noticeable advantage over its smaller counterpart. The tank and housing are made of 1.4301 stainless steel with a thickness of 1.0 mm; the external dimensions are 260 x 160 x 310 mm with a net weight of 4.6 kg.Guide to choosing between the RK 100 H and RK 103 HAnyone who regularly changes the cleaning medium or requires a working volume of more than 2.0 litres is better off with the RK 103 H (2.7-litre working volume, with drain) than with the smaller RK 100 H without a drain. If even more space is required, for example, to accommodate several beakers at the same time, the RK 510 H, with a total capacity of 9.7 litres, is the next model up in the SUPER RK series.Product range at a glance: SUPER RK, DIGITEC DT and smart STBandelin also offers the same performance class in the DIGITEC DT series, featuring push-button operation, an LED display and automatic DEGAS degassing, as well as in the smart ST series with a touchscreen and programme memory. The RK 103 H is designed for anyone who prefers simple, mechanical operation without a display. In addition, there are Elma Elmasonic ultrasonic baths for laboratories that already rely on this brand.Use and maintenanceThe 2.7-litre working capacity leaves room for the items to be cleaned when filling the bath; the bath should not be filled to the brim. A concentrate from Bandelin’s TICKOPUR range is suitable for use as the cleaning fluid. Before the first cleaning cycle with a freshly prepared solution, a short initial run in continuous operation helps to expel any trapped air and achieve the full cavitation effect. After the last use of the day, the tank should be drained via the ball valve and wiped dry to prevent any residues from settling.Typical applicationsCleaning of tweezers, scissors and smaller practice instrumentsDegreasing and cleaning of small metal and plastic partsCleaning of cuvettes, filter holders and sample holdersHeat-assisted pre-cleaning prior to further processingFrequently asked questionsWhat is the difference between the RK 103 H and the RK 100 H?The RK 103 H has a larger capacity (4.0 litres instead of 3.0 litres), two vibration systems instead of one, and a ball valve drain, which the RK 100 H does not have. What temperature range is available?30 to 80 °C, controlled via a separate rotary knob.On which side is the drain? On the right, fitted as a ball valve with a G 1/4 connection. Is the unit equally suitable for use in medical practices and laboratories? It is classified as a Class I medical device in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and is CE-compliant with the Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS Directives. The suitability of the instruments depends on the instrument manufacturer’s specifications.Technical detailsTotal capacity / Working capacity4.0 l / 2.7 lInternal dimensions of the tank (L x W x D)240 x 140 x 150 mmExternal dimensions (L x W x H)260 x 160 x 310 mmWeight (net)4.6 kgUltrasonic frequency35 kHzUltrasonic powerPeak power 560 W, nominal power 140 W, 2 vibration systemsHeating power200 W, temperature range 30 to 80 °C, dry-run protectionTimer1 to 15 minutes (± 5 %) or continuous operationOperationRotary knobFunctionsSweepTec, pulse functionTank materialStainless steel 1.4301, thickness 1.0 mmHousing materialStainless steel 1.4301DrainBall valve G 1/4, right-hand sideMains connection230 V~ (± 10 %), 50/60 Hz, optionally 115 V~, 2 m fixed mains lead, protection class ICurrent consumption230 V 1.5 A / 115 V 3.0 AProtection ratingIP 32Medical device classClass I (Regulation (EU) 2017/745)ConformityLow Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU, EMC Directive 2014/30/EU, RoHS Directive 2011/65/EUPackaging dimensions365 x 265 x 380 mmScope of delivery1x Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 103 H ultrasonic bath with heatingFixed mains lead (2 m)Instructions for useThe insert basket and lid are not included in the scope of delivery and are available separately.Individual requirements and procurement serviceFor the K 3 CL insert basket, the D 100 lid or another model from the SUPER RK series, there is an individual procurement need. Not every cleaning task requires heat. If you are already working with a medium at a specific temperature or at room temperature, an additional heating element is simply unnecessary technology in the unit. The Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 510 has a total capacity of 9.7 litres and a working capacity of 6.6 litres, providing ample space for laboratory glassware and larger small parts; it is deliberately designed without a heating function.Powerful cleaning even without heatAt an operating frequency of 35 kHz, the RK 510 delivers 640 watts of peak power and 160 watts of rated power via four vibration systems. The SweepTec function continuously modulates the ultrasonic field to prevent standing waves from forming and ensure that cavitation acts evenly throughout the tank, even without auxiliary heating.Robust tank for daily useThe tank and housing are made of 1.4301 stainless steel; the tank is 1.0 mm thick with internal dimensions of 300 x 240 x 150 mm. Operation is via a rotary knob; the timer covers 1 to 15 minutes (± 5 %), and continuous operation is also available. With a net weight of 7.2 kg and external dimensions of 325 x 265 x 300 mm, the unit can be moved around the laboratory with minimal effort.Ball valve drain for easy medium changeA G 1/2 ball valve on the left-hand side allows the tank to be emptied without lifting or tilting it, which is practical when the cleaning medium needs to be changed frequently. IP 32 protection rating and CE conformity according to the Medical Devices Regulation, the Low Voltage Directive, the EMC Directive and the RoHS Directive allow it to be used in laboratories, medical practices and workshops alike.Selection guide: unheated or with heatingThe RK 510 shares the same tank size as the heated RK 510 H; both have a capacity of 9.7 litres, with a working volume of 6.6 litres. Those working exclusively with cold or pre-tempered media can save on the additional heating technology with the RK 510. As soon as grease or oil residues require a higher bath temperature, the RK 510 H is the more suitable choice, given the identical tank size.Product range breakdown: SUPER RK, DIGITEC DT and smart STWithin the SUPER RK series, the range extends from 0.9 litres (RK 31) to 58 litres (RK 1050), with operation consistently via rotary knobs. Those looking instead for a digital display with DEGAS degassing will find this in the DIGITEC DT series, whilst the smart ST series features touchscreen operation with programme memory. In addition to Bandelin SONOREX, we also offer Elma Elmasonic ultrasonic baths in our range.Use and maintenanceThe working capacity of 6.6 litres is deliberately set below the total capacity of 9.7 litres to prevent water from spilling over the rim when beakers or laboratory glassware are placed inside. A concentrate from Bandelin’s TICKOPUR range is suitable for use as the cleaning fluid. A short pre-run in continuous operation before the first cleaning cycle removes dissolved air from freshly prepared medium. After the last use of the day, the tank can be drained via the ball valve and then wiped dry to prevent limescale or cleaning agent residues.Typical applicationsCleaning of beakers and laboratory glassware without the need for heatDegassing of aqueous solutions prior to analytical proceduresCleaning of tools and small parts in the workshopPre-cleaning of larger batches of instruments prior to further processingFrequently asked questionsCan the RK 510 be heated? No, the RK 510 is the unheated version; the heated version with the same tank size is the RK 510 H.Where is the drain? On the left, as a ball valve with a G 1/2 connection. How much volume is actually available for cleaning?6.6 litres working capacity with a total capacity of 9.7 litres. Is the device a medical device?Yes, Class I according to Regulation (EU) 2017/745.Technical detailsTotal capacity / Working capacity9.7 l / 6.6 lInternal dimensions of the tank (L x W x D)300 x 240 x 150 mmExternal dimensions (L x W x H)325 x 265 x 300 mmWeight (net)7.2 kgUltrasonic frequency35 kHzUltrasonic powerPeak power 640 W, rated power 160 W, 4 vibration systemsTimer1 to 15 minutes (± 5 %) or continuous operationOperationRotary knobFunctionsSweepTec, pulse functionTank materialStainless steel 1.4301, thickness 1.0 mmHousing materialStainless steel 1.4301DrainBall valve G 1/2, left-hand sideMains connection230 V~ (± 10 %), 50/60 Hz, optionally 115 V~, 2 m fixed mains lead, protection class ICurrent consumption230 V 0.7 A / 115 V 1.4 ADegree of protectionIP 32Medical device classClass I (Regulation (EU) 2017/745)ConformityLow Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU, EMC Directive 2014/30/EU, RoHS Directive 2011/65/EUPackaging dimensions450 x 390 x 375 mmScope of delivery1x Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 510 ultrasonic bathFixed mains lead (2 m)Instructions for useThe insert basket and lid are not included in the scope of delivery and are available separately.Individual requirements and procurement serviceFor the K 10 insert basket, the D 510 lid or the heated version RK 510 H, individual procurement requirements apply. Sensor tips, small cannulas, jewellery or individual cuvettes do not require a large bath for ultrasonic cleaning; rather, they need a bath that delivers uniform cavitation to every corner of the tank. With a total capacity of 0.9 l, the Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 31 is the smallest model in the SUPER RK series and is designed specifically for these small-item cleaning tasks in laboratories, medical practices and workshops.Small tank, noticeable cavitationAt an operating frequency of 35 kHz, the RK 31 generates a peak ultrasonic power of 160 watts at a nominal ultrasonic power of 40 watts, distributed across a single vibration system. This is sufficient for the small tank volume of 0.9 l (working capacity 0.6 l); larger SUPER RK models, such as the RK 514 BH, on the other hand, operate with four vibration systems covering a significantly larger area. The automatic SweepTec function continuously adjusts the frequency slightly, thereby preventing standing waves in the ultrasonic field; as a result, the cleaning effect remains uniform even in small volumes.Thin stainless steel tank for the laboratory benchThe oscillating tank is made of 1.4301 stainless steel with a thickness of 0.8 millimetres; the housing is made from the same material. The internal dimensions of 190 x 85 x 60 mm and the compact external dimensions of 205 x 100 x 180 mm ensure that the unit, with a net weight of 2.2 kg, can still be accommodated even on already occupied work surfaces. The RK 31 is operated via a robust rotary handle; the timer ranges from 1 to 15 minutes (tolerance ± 5 %), and continuous operation is also available. No drain, no heating, but simpleThis model has no drain; a ball valve is not provided for this size. With a capacity of 0.9 l, the tank can be emptied directly over the edge after the cleaning cycle; an additional connection would be rather cumbersome in this case. Similarly, the RK 31 does not feature a heating element. Anyone requiring heating for cleaning in the same size should choose the RK 31 H with a fixed 65 °C; the next larger model with adjustable heating is the RK 100 H.Selection guide for the SUPER RK seriesThe SUPER RK series from Bandelin covers a wide range: from the RK 31 with a 0.9-litre capacity to the RK 1050 with a total capacity of 58 l. If you are only cleaning individual small parts, sensor tips or cuvettes, you are properly equipped with the RK 31. If the batch size increases to include several instruments or small glass vessels, it is worth considering the RK 100 H (3.0 l, heated) or the RK 103 H (4.0 l, heated and with a drain). For entire sieves or beakers, the larger models from the RK 510 (9.7 l) upwards are the more suitable choice.SUPER RK, DIGITEC DT and smart ST comparedIn addition to the SUPER RK series with classic rotary knob control, Bandelin offers the DIGITEC DT series with push-button control, an LED display and DEGAS degassing, as well as the smart ST series with a touchscreen, finely adjustable power control and programme memory. Those who only clean occasionally and value straightforward, robust operation would be well advised to choose a SUPER RK model such as the RK 31. We also offer Elma Elmasonic ultrasonic baths, an alternative for laboratories already equipped with this brand.Use and maintenanceThe working capacity of 0.6 l is deliberately set below the total capacity of 0.9 l, as space must be left for the items being cleaned when filling the bath; otherwise, the liquid will spill over the rim. As for the cleaning solution itself, Bandelin offers its own TICKOPUR range of concentrates; for the SONOREX PR series of pipette cleaners, this is included in the set, whilst a suitable concentrate for the RK 31 must be purchased separately. Freshly prepared cleaning fluid contains dissolved air, which initially dampens cavitation; a short pre-run in continuous operation before the actual cleaning process dispels it. The stainless steel tank is compatible with most aqueous cleaning agents; however, abrasive sponges or chlorine-based agents should still be avoided. At the end of the working day, it is best to empty and dry the tank.Typical applicationsCleaning of small sensor tips, cannulas and needlesPrecision cleaning of jewellery and small metal partsPre-cleaning of precision mechanical components and watch movementsCleaning individual cuvettes or small sample vessels in the laboratoryFrequently asked questionsIs the SONOREX SUPER RK 31 heated? No, the RK 31 is unheated. The heated version with the same volume is the RK 31 H (fixed at 65 °C); the next larger model with adjustable heating is the RK 100 H.Does the unit have a drain? No, the RK 31 has no ball valve; with a capacity of 0.9 l, the bath is emptied directly. Is the RK 31 a medical device?Yes, it is classified as a Class I medical device according to Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and is also CE-compliant with the Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS Directives. Are the basket and lid included in the scope of delivery? No, the K 08 insert basket and the D 08 lid are available separately as accessories.Technical detailsTotal capacity / Working capacity0.9 l / 0.6 lInternal dimensions of tank (L x W x D)190 x 85 x 60 mmExternal dimensions (L x W x H)205 x 100 x 180 mmWeight (net)2.2 kgUltrasonic frequency35 kHzUltrasonic powerPeak ultrasonic power 160 W, nominal ultrasonic power 40 W, 1 vibration systemTimer1 to 15 minutes (± 5 %) or continuous operationOperationRotary knobFunctionsSweepTec, pulse functionTank materialStainless steel 1.4301, thickness 0.8 mmHousing materialStainless steel 1.4301DrainNo drain/ball valveMains connection230 V~ (± 10 %), 50/60 Hz, optionally 115 V~, 2 m fixed mains lead, protection class ICurrent consumption230 V 0.2 A / 115 V 0.4 AProtection ratingIP 32Medical device classClass I (Regulation (EU) 2017/745)ConformityLow Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU, EMC Directive 2014/30/EU, RoHS Directive 2011/65/EUPackaging dimensions320 x 235 x 205 mmScope of delivery1x Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 31 ultrasonic bathFixed mains lead (2 m)Instructions for useThe insert basket and lid are not included in the scope of delivery and are available separately.Individual requirements and procurement serviceFor the K 08 insert basket, the D 08 lid or a larger SUPER RK model, there is an individual procurement requirement. Long pipettes, tubing, tools or torches rarely fit into a square tank. The Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 156 BH, with internal dimensions of 500 x 140 x 150 mm, is deliberately designed to be narrow and long, thus providing a total capacity of 9.0 l for elongated items that cannot be accommodated in the more compact SUPER RK models.Narrow tank for elongated objectsWhilst most SUPER RK models have approximately square tanks, the RK 156 BH, measuring 500 mm in length and just 140 mm in width, is tailored to slender items: shorter laboratory glass rods, tools, hoses or several smaller instruments placed side by side. The working capacity is 6.0 l, and four vibration systems ensure uniform ultrasonic agitation across the entire length of the tank.600-watt heater for thorough cleaningAt an operating frequency of 35 kHz, the RK 156 BH delivers 860 watts of peak power and 215 watts of rated power; the SweepTec function prevents standing waves across the elongated tank shape. The 600-watt heater covers a range of 30 to 80 °C and is fitted with dry-run protection; the timer ranges from 1 to 15 minutes (± 5 %) or continuous operation, controlled via rotary knobs for time and temperature.Ball valve drain and robust constructionA G 1/4 ball valve on the right-hand side allows the tank to be drained in a controlled manner. The tank and housing are made of 1.4301 stainless steel with a thickness of 1.0 mm; the external dimensions of 530 x 165 x 300 mm and the net weight of 7.3 kg correspond to the narrow, elongated design. The housing is IP 32-rated, and the 2-metre power cable is permanently attached to the unit. When the BH design is suitableFor compact, roughly cube-shaped items to be cleaned, the standard SUPER RK models, such as the RK 510 H (9.7 l, but with a more square tank), are often the more practical choice. The RK 156 BH is worth considering where the length of the items to be cleaned is the main issue, such as with rods, longer tools or multiple objects that need to be placed side by side rather than on top of one another.Product range breakdown: SUPER RK, DIGITEC DT and smart STThe slim BH design is currently only available within the SUPER RK series with classic rotary knob controls. Those looking instead for digital button controls with an LED display will find them in the DIGITEC DT series, whilst the smart ST series features touchscreen controls with programme memory. We also offer Elma Elmasonic ultrasonic baths, although these are built with different tank shapes.Use and maintenanceThe working capacity of 6.0 l is less than the total capacity of 9.0 l, ensuring that no water spills over the rim when the items to be cleaned are placed inside. A concentrate from Bandelin’s TICKOPUR range is suitable as the cleaning agent. Freshly prepared liquid should be run briefly in continuous operation before the first cleaning cycle, so that dissolved air escapes and cavitation can take full effect. After use, the tank can be drained completely via the ball valve, leaving no residue, and then wiped dry.Typical applicationsCleaning of elongated tools, rods and hosesSimultaneous cleaning of several smaller instruments side by sidePre-cleaning of narrow laboratory glassware prior to further processingDegreasing of elongated metal parts in workshops and industryFrequently asked questionsWhy is the tank so narrow and long? The internal dimensions of 500 x 140 x 150 mm are specifically designed for elongated items that do not fit into more square-shaped tanks.Where is the drain? On the right, as a ball valve with a G 1/4 connection. Is the RK 156 BH heated?Yes, with a heating power of 600 watts and a temperature range of 30 to 80 °C.How many vibration systems does the unit have?Four, distributed along the entire length of the tank to ensure uniform agitation.Technical detailsTotal capacity / Working capacity9.0 l / 6.0 lInternal tank dimensions (L x W x D)500 x 140 x 150 mmExternal dimensions (L x W x H)530 x 165 x 300 mmWeight (net)7.3 kgUltrasonic frequency35 kHzUltrasonic powerPeak power 860 W, rated power 215 W, 4 vibration systemsHeating power600 W, temperature range 30 to 80 °C, dry-run protectionTimer1 to 15 minutes (± 5 %) or continuous operationOperationRotary knobFunctionsSweepTec, pulse functionTank materialStainless steel 1.4301, thickness 1.0 mmHousing materialStainless steel 1.4301DrainBall valve G 1/4, right-hand sideMains connection230 V~ (± 10 %), 50/60 Hz, optionally 115 V~, 2 m fixed mains lead, protection class ICurrent consumption230 V 3.6 A / 115 V 7.1 ADegree of protectionIP 32Medical device classClass I (Regulation (EU) 2017/745)ConformityLow Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU, EMC Directive 2014/30/EU, RoHS Directive 2011/65/EUPackaging dimensions655 x 265 x 370 mmScope of delivery1x Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 156 BH ultrasonic bath with heaterFixed mains lead (2 m)Instructions for useThe insert basket and lid are not included in the scope of delivery and are available separately.Individual requirements and procurement serviceFor the K 6 BL insert basket, the D 156 lid or another tank shape from the SUPER RK series, individual procurement requirements apply. Not every cleaning task requires heat; indeed, some cleaning agents and materials do not tolerate it well. The Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 1028 C operates without heating and instead features a welded tank made from high-alloy stainless steel 1.4404 (AISI 316L). With a total capacity of 45 litres and a working capacity of 30 litres, this ultrasonic bath is one of the larger models in the SUPER-RK series and, like all units in the range, is classified as a Class I medical device in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745.Robust tank for continuous operation without heatingThe 1.4404 grade is molybdenum-alloyed and is therefore generally more resistant to chlorides and more aggressive cleaning agents than the standard 1.4301 grade, from which the other unheated SUPER-RK models, such as the RK 1040, are manufactured. The tank is welded rather than drawn and has a thickness of 2.0 mm, twice that of the standard RK 1028 H model. On the ultrasonic side, the RK 1028 C delivers a peak power of 2,000 watts and a nominal power of 500 watts at 35 kHz, distributed across ten vibration systems. The SweepTec function operates fully automatically to counter standing waves in the acoustic field, whilst an additional pulse function briefly increases the energy output to tackle more stubborn dirt.Typical applicationsCleaning of larger batches of laboratory glassware, tools and componentsPreparation and degassing of cleaning media prior to analytical processesUse with cleaning concentrates that are more aggressive towards standard stainless steelWorkshop and industrial applications with high throughput and no temperature requirementsThe 1028 series and alternatives in the rangeIf you additionally need heating, the RK 1028 CH with an identical tank offers the heated version with the same tank material. If the standard 1.4301 tank is sufficient, the RK 1028 H with the same volume and heating is the more cost-effective alternative. For smaller batches without heating, Bandelin also offers the RK 510 with a capacity of 9.7 litres and the RK 1040 with a round tank and a capacity of 39.5 litres. In addition to the SONOREX range, we also offer ultrasonic baths from Elma, for example with switchable dual-frequency technology, for applications where a fixed frequency of 35 kHz is insufficient.Use and maintenanceThe tank is filled to a working capacity of 30 litres; the total volume of 45 litres refers to the tank filled to the brim without the items to be cleaned. The ball valve on the drain, specified in the data sheet as G 1/2 inch on the left-hand side of the unit, is used for draining and changing the cleaning medium. The insert basket and lid are not included in the scope of delivery; for the RK 1028 C, the K 28 C or K 28 CS baskets are suitable, with the corresponding lids D 1028 C or D 1028 CS respectively. Cleaning concentrates for the SONOREX series can be purchased separately. The power cable is 2 metres long and permanently attached to the unit; operation is possible with either 230 V or 115 V.Frequently Asked QuestionsWhy does the RK 1028 C not have heating? This is the unheated basic version of the 1028 model; for heated operation with the same tank, there is the sister model RK 1028 CH.What distinguishes the 1.4404 tank from the standard tank? The tank of the RK 1028 C is welded rather than drawn, 2.0 mm thick instead of 1.0 mm, and is made from the molybdenum-alloyed stainless steel 1.4404, which is generally more resistant to chlorides than the standard material 1.4301.How much does the unit weigh when shipped? The net weight of the RK 1028 C is 24.9 kg; when packed in a carton, the weight increases to 28.0 kg.Is the device classified as a medical device?Yes, Bandelin classifies the RK 1028 C as a Class I medical device in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745.Technical detailsTotal capacity / Working capacity45.0 l / 30.0 lInternal dimensions of the tank (L x W x D)500 x 300 x 300 mmExternal dimensions (L x W x H)540 x 340 x 500 mm, excluding handles/ball valve, with feetWeight (net)24.9 kgShipping weight (gross)28.0 kgUltrasonic frequency35 kHzUltrasonic powerPeak power 2,000 W, nominal power 500 W, 10 vibration systemsHeatingNot applicable, unheated modelTimer1 to 15 minutes (±5 %) or continuous operationOperationRotary knobFunctionsSweepTec, pulse functionTank materialStainless steel 1.4404 (AISI 316L), welded, thickness 2.0 mmHousing materialStainless steel 1.4301DrainBall valve G 1/2, left-hand sideMains connection230 V~ (±10 %), 50/60 Hz, optionally 115 V~, 2 m fixed mains lead, protection class ICurrent consumption230 V 2.2 A / 115 V 4.4 ADegree of protectionIP 32Packaging dimensions670 x 470 x 565 mmMedical device classClass I in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745Scope of delivery1x Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 1028 C ultrasonic bathPermanently attached mains cable (2 m)Instructions for useThe insert basket (K 28 C or K 28 CS) and lid (D 1028 C or D 1028 CS) are not included in the scope of delivery and are available separately as accessories.Individual requirements and procurement serviceOur procurement service can assist you in finding a suitable insert basket, lid or cleaning concentrates for the SONOREX SUPER RK 1028 C.
Same tank size as the SUPER RK 100 H, but with a completely different operating system: With a total capacity of 3.0 litres and touchscreen controls, the Bandelin SONOREX smart ST 102 H is the digital alternative for users who wish to fine-tune cleaning cycles and repeat them consistently.Touchscreen instead of a rotary knobA touchscreen takes over the operation instead of a mechanical rotary knob. The ultrasonic power can be adjusted from 10 to 100 % in 1 % increments, whilst the timer accepts any value from 1 second to 8 hours in 1-second increments. Twelve programme memories, including an ECO programme, allow cleaning cycles to be saved once they have been set and recalled later with a single tap, rather than having to reset the time, power and temperature each time.40 kHz instead of 35 kHz, plus DEGAS degassingUnlike the SUPER RK series, the smart ST 102 H operates at an ultrasonic frequency of 40 kHz, with a peak power of 480 watts and a nominal power of 120 watts. In addition to the SweepTec function, there is an automatic DEGAS rapid degassing feature, which removes dissolved air from freshly prepared cleaning fluid before the actual cleaning process begins, supplemented by a pulse mode and an interval operation ranging from 1 to 60 seconds.Heating up to 80 °C, in 1-degree incrementsThe 140-watt heater covers a range from 20 to 80 °C, adjustable in 1-degree increments rather than over a continuous range as with the SUPER RK models, and also features boiling delay protection and dry-run protection. Drainage is via a G 1/4 ball valve with a 25 cm hose on the right-hand side.Hard-chromed tank and system bus interfaceAs with the SUPER RK series, the tank and housing are made of 1.4301 stainless steel with a thickness of 1.0 mm; the tank is also hard-chromed. The unit can be connected to a docking station via a system bus interface with a 4-pin M12 socket. A lithium backup battery (CR 2032, 3 V) safeguards the stored programmes even in the event of a power cut.SUPER RK, DIGITEC DT or smart ST: choose the suitable control optionBandelin offers this same compact 3.0-litre tank size in three control concepts: with a rotary knob in the SUPER RK series (such as the RK 100 H), with push-button controls and an LED display in the DIGITEC DT series, or with a touchscreen and programme memory in the smart ST 102 H. Those wishing to store cleaning parameters for different items in a reproducible manner will benefit from the smart ST series, whilst those who prefer simple, robust operation without electronics should opt for the RK 100 H. We also offer Elma Elmasonic ultrasonic baths as a further brand.Use and maintenanceThe working capacity of 2.0 litres is less than the total capacity of 3.0 litres, ensuring that no water spills over the rim when the items to be cleaned are placed inside. A concentrate from Bandelin’s TICKOPUR range is suitable for the cleaning fluid. Unlike the SUPER RK models, the DEGAS function of the smart ST 102 H automatically degasses freshly prepared cleaning fluid; a manual pre-run is not necessary. The hard-chromed tank is compatible with standard aqueous cleaning agents, but should be emptied and wiped dry after the last cycle of the day to prevent residues from settling.Typical applicationsReproducible cleaning programmes for recurring test seriesPrecision cleaning of small instruments and sensor tips using stored parametersProcess validation in laboratories and practices with documented settingsConnection to a docking station for networked cleaning processesFrequently asked questionsWhat is the difference between the smart ST 102 H and the SUPER RK 100 H?Both have a tank capacity of 3.0 litres; the smart ST 102 H features a touchscreen, programme memory, DEGAS degassing and operates at 40 kHz instead of 35 kHz.How many programmes can be stored?Twelve, including an ECO programme. Is there a drain?Yes, a G 1/4 ball valve with a 25 cm hose on the right-hand side.Is the appliance also available with a 115 V connection?Yes, according to Bandelin, a 115 V version is available on request, as well as versions with Swiss or British plugs; the model listed here is the standard EU version with 230 V.Technical detailsTotal capacity / Working capacity3.0 l / 2.0 lInternal dimensions of the tank (L x W x D)240 x 140 x 100 mmExternal dimensions (L x W x H)260 x 160 x 250 mmWeight (net)4.4 kgUltrasonic frequency40 kHzUltrasonic powerPeak power 480 W, nominal power 120 W, power adjustment 10 to 100 % in 1 % incrementsHeating power140 W, temperature range 20 to 80 °C in 1 °C increments, boiling delay protection, dry-run protectionTimer1 second to 8 hours in 1-second increments, automatic safety shut-off after 8 hoursOperationTouchscreenFunctionsSweepTec, DEGAS rapid degassing, Pulse mode, interval 1 to 60 s, 12 programme memories including ECO programme, M12 system bus interface (4-pin)Tank materialStainless steel 1.4301, thickness 1.0 mm, hard chrome-platedHousing materialStainless steel 1.4301DrainG 1/4 ball valve with 25 cm hose, right-hand sideMains connection230 V~ (± 10 %), 50/60 Hz, optionally 115 V~, 2 m fixed mains lead, protection class ICurrent consumption230 V 1.2 A / 115 V 2.4 ABack-up batteryLithium button cell CR 2032, 3 VDegree of protectionIP 32Medical device classClass I (Regulation (EU) 2017/745)ConformityLow Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU, EMC Directive 2014/30/EU, RoHS Directive 2011/65/EUPackaging dimensions365 x 265 x 315 mmScope of delivery1x Bandelin SONOREX smart ST 102 H ultrasonic bath with heatingFixed mains lead (2 m)Operating instructionsThe insert basket and lid are not included in the scope of delivery and are available separately.Regulatory informationThe appliance contains a lithium backup battery (CR 2032 button cell, 3 V) for the programme memory. Anyone who regularly has to thoroughly clean instruments, workpieces or glassware in a laboratory, dental practice or workshop is familiar with the problem: cleaning time, temperature and intensity must be precisely tailored to the items being cleaned, without making the operation complicated. The Bandelin SONOREX smart ST 514 BH is an ultrasonic bath with heating and a total capacity of 18.7 litres, designed specifically to address this need. Via the touchscreen, power, temperature and cleaning duration can be adjusted in fine increments and saved as a custom programme, ensuring that recurring cleaning cycles can be reproduced consistently at any time. Touchscreen operation with ten programme memories Instead of traditional rotary controls or individual buttons, a touchscreen handles all operation of the ST 514 BH. The ultrasonic power can be adjusted from 10 to 100 % in 1 % increments, the temperature from 20 to 80 °C in 1 K increments, and the timer accepts any value from 1 second to 8 hours in 1-second increments. Up to ten programmes can be saved in the unit using these settings and recalled at the touch of a finger. For example, one programme can be set up for intensive rough cleaning of heavily soiled workpieces and a second for the gentle cleaning of sensitive instruments; both can be recalled at any time without the need for further adjustment. An integrated ECO programme further reduces energy consumption when the bath does not need to be running at full capacity. Powerful ultrasound with DEGAS, Sweep, Pulse and Interval The ultrasonic generator operates at a frequency of 40 kHz with a nominal power of 215 W and a peak power of 860 W. The DEGAS function degasses freshly prepared cleaning fluid before the actual cleaning process, thereby preventing dissolved air bubbles from weakening the cavitation effect. The Sweep function continuously varies the frequency slightly to prevent standing waves in the tank and to achieve a uniform cleaning effect throughout the bath. Pulse and interval modes further adjust the cleaning intensity to suit items of varying sensitivity. Ultrasonic bath with heating: 600 W for constant bath temperatures Many cleaning agents only achieve their full effectiveness at elevated temperatures. The ST 514 BH’s 600 W heater covers a range from 20 to 80 °C, adjustable in 1 K increments, so that the bath temperature can be precisely matched to the cleaning concentrate being used. Drainage is via a G ½ left-hand ball valve, so that the bath can be emptied after cleaning without having to tip it or decant the contents. System bus interface for the DST 01 docking station The ST 514 BH can be connected to the DST 01 docking station via a system bus interface with an M12 connector (4-pin), allowing it to be integrated into networked cleaning processes in which several units are to be operated together. Robust stainless steel design for continuous use The tank and housing are made of 1.4301 stainless steel. The tank is 1.0 mm thick and has internal dimensions of 325 × 300 × 200 mm, with a total capacity of 18.7 litres and a working capacity of 12.5 litres. With external dimensions of 355 × 325 × 350 mm, measured excluding handles and ball valve, and a net weight of 10.3 kg, the unit can be accommodated on any laboratory bench or workbench. Degree of protection IP 32 and protection class I ensure safe operation in everyday use in laboratories, medical practices and workshops. Connection, warranty and delivery The unit is connected via a permanently fitted, 2-metre-long mains cable to a 230 V AC supply (±10 %, 50/60 Hz) with a current consumption of 3.6 A. Bandelin provides a 2-year warranty on the SONOREX smart ST 514 BH; packed ready for dispatch, the unit weighs 12.6 kg with packaging dimensions of 475 × 445 × 465 mm. Successor to the SONOREX DIGIPLUS DL 514 BH, compatible with existing accessories The ST 514 BH is the successor to the now-discontinued SONOREX DIGIPLUS DL 514 BH and features a comparable tank size and performance class. Anyone already using a lid, insert basket, insert tank, insert beaker or insert grid for a 514 model can continue to use these accessories directly on the new ST 514 BH; there is no need to switch to new accessory sizes. Compared to its predecessor, the ST 514 BH features a touchscreen control panel instead of individual buttons, finer power adjustment in 1 % increments rather than 10 %, a freely selectable timer instead of fixed time settings, ten programme memory slots and the system bus interface for the docking station. Typical applications The ST 514 BH is suitable wherever items to be cleaned require thorough yet gentle treatment and where cleaning parameters need to remain reproducible throughout the day: Sample preparation and cleaning of laboratory glassware, cuvettes and small parts in day-to-day laboratory work Pre-treatment of instruments in dental and medical practices prior to further sterilisation Precision cleaning of components, tools and machine parts in industry and workshops Technical details Inner tank dimensions (L×W×D)325 × 300 × 200 mm Tank materialStainless steel 1.4301, thickness 1.0 mm Total capacity18.7 l Working capacity12.5 l Ultrasonic frequency40 kHz Ultrasonic power215 W (nominal), 860 W (peak) Power setting10 to 100 %, in 1 % increments Heating power600 W Temperature range20 to 80 °C, in 1 K increments Timer1 s to 8 h, in 1-s increments Pulsation times1 to 60 s Programme memory10, including ECO programme FunctionsDEGAS, Sweep, Pulse, Interval OperationTouchscreen InterfaceM12 system bus, 4-pin, for DST 01 docking station DrainG ½ left-hand ball valve HousingStainless steel 1.4301 External dimensions (excluding handles/ball valve)355 × 325 × 350 mm Weight (net)10.3 kg Packaging dimensions475 × 445 × 465 mm Shipping weight (gross)12.6 kg Connection230 V~ (±10 %), 50/60 Hz, 3.6 A Mains cable2 m, permanently attached to the unit Degree of protectionIP 32 Protection classI Back-up batteryLithium button cell CR 2032, 3 V ClassificationClass I medical device (MDR 2017/745) ConformityLow Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU, EMC 2014/30/EU, RoHS 2011/65/EU Scope of delivery 1x Bandelin SONOREX smart ST 514 BH ultrasonic bath with heating, stainless steel tank with fixed 2-metre mains cable The lid, insert basket, insert tank, insert beaker, insert grid and the DST 01 docking station are not included in the scope of delivery and are available separately.
