Ultrasonic bath with heating for professional laboratory cleaning

The Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 255 H is a heated ultrasonic bath with a nominal volume of 5.5 litres (working capacity 3.8 litres), designed for daily use in laboratories, clinics, dental practices and industry. The integrated SweepTec technology automatically and fully automatically readjusts the ultrasonic field, thereby preventing standing waves in the sound field and ensuring a uniform, homogeneous cleaning effect throughout the entire tank. With a nominal ultrasonic power of 160 watts and a peak power of 640 watts, the ultrasonic bath operates reliably even with more stubborn soiling. The thermostatically controlled heater, with a heating capacity of 280 watts, allows bath temperatures ranging from 30 to 80 degrees Celsius, making the unit suitable for both gentle and intensive, temperature-assisted cleaning tasks.

Applications in everyday laboratory work

The ultrasonic bath is suitable for numerous applications in everyday laboratory work: from instrument cleaning in medical practices, clinics and sterilisation departments, through to the degassing of solvents prior to analytical processes, and the cleaning of laboratory glassware, pipettes, cuvettes and other small parts. The unit is also well suited for the pre-cleaning of components prior to further processing, for example as a preliminary step before manual final cleaning. Operation is convenient via a rotary knob, which allows the cleaning time and bath temperature to be set directly on the unit without the need for complex menu navigation – an advantage when the unit is used by different members of laboratory staff. The timer covers a range of 1 to 15 minutes (±5 per cent) and can also be set to continuous operation (∞) when longer cleaning cycles are required. A fill-level mark inside the stainless steel tank makes it easy to fill the tank precisely with the relevant cleaning or disinfecting solution and helps ensure that the 3.8-litre capacity is not exceeded.

Robust construction for continuous use

The tank of the SONOREX SUPER RK 255 H is made of 1.4301 stainless steel with a wall thickness of 1.0 mm and is therefore designed for continuous use in laboratory environments. For emptying, the unit features a drain tap (G 1/4 ball valve) on the right-hand side with a 25 cm long hose, which allows the bath to be changed without tilting the tank. Two side handles facilitate transport within the laboratory, whilst the 2-metre-long mains cable, which is permanently attached to the unit, ensures sufficient freedom of movement at the workstation. With external dimensions of 325 x 175 x 295 mm and a weight of 6.6 kg, the ultrasonic bath can also be easily accommodated on standard laboratory workstations. With an IP 32 protection rating for the housing and CE marking as a Class I medical device in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745, as well as compliance with the Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU), the EMC Directive (2014/30/EU) and the RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU), the SONOREX SUPER RK 255 H is also suitable for regulated laboratory environments.
