Bandelin SONOREX SUPER RK 31 – a compact ultrasonic bath for everyday laboratory use
The SONOREX SUPER RK 31 is a compact ultrasonic bath from Bandelin with a total capacity of 0.9 litres (0.6 litres working capacity), designed for the gentle yet thorough cleaning of smaller objects in the laboratory. Thanks to the combination of a 35 kHz operating frequency and a peak power of 160 W (rated power 40 W), the unit generates fine, uniform cavitation that reaches even hard-to-access areas of components and instruments. Typical applications include the cleaning of laboratory glassware and small parts, the pre-cleaning of instruments, and the degassing of solvents prior to analytical applications – wherever compact, reliable ultrasonic cleaning in a small volume is required.
Robust construction and simple operation
The ultrasonic tank and housing of the SONOREX SUPER RK 31 are made of 1.4301 stainless steel; the tank itself is 0.8 mm thick and is therefore designed for daily use in a laboratory setting. Operation is via a robust rotary knob, which allows the timer to be adjusted continuously between 1 and 15 minutes (±5 per cent); a continuous operation mode (∞) is also available for longer cleaning cycles. A fill-level mark on the tank makes it easier to fill it correctly with cleaning fluid. With external dimensions of just 205 x 100 x 180 mm and a weight of 2.9 kg, the unit fits comfortably on a laboratory bench even where space is limited and can be easily moved if required.
Safety and Protection Class
The SONOREX SUPER RK 31 is a Class I medical device in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745 and is CE-compliant; it also meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU, the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU and the RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU. The vibration tray and housing are rated to protection class IP32. The unit is supplied with a permanently attached 2-metre mains cable and is designed for operation at 230 V~ (±10 %), 50/60 Hz.
