Binder FP 115 drying and heating cabinet with forced air circulation and programme functions, 116 l, 9010-0364

Product information "Binder FP 115 drying and heating cabinet with forced air circulation and programme functions, 116 l, 9010-0364"

The Binder FP 115 drying oven is a materials testing oven with forced convection and programme functions for short drying times and rapid heating. With a usable volume of 116 litres and a temperature range from 10 °C above ambient temperature up to 300 °C, the unit is suitable for testing tasks where a precise combination of temperature and air circulation must be maintained over an extended period.

Programmable temperature ramps for materials testing

The additional programme functions and the adjustable fan allow temperature and air circulation conditions to be optimally tailored to complex test tasks. The freely programmable controller, featuring time-segment and real-time programming, enables temperature ramps or jumps with high accuracy, whilst an Ethernet interface integrates the unit into the laboratory infrastructure.

Homogeneous air circulation and precise temperature control

At 150 °C, the FP 115 achieves a spatial temperature deviation of 1.4 ± K and a temporal deviation of 0.3 ± K. The heating time to 150 °C is 19 minutes; once the door is opened, the setpoint temperature is reached again after 5 minutes. With an air change rate of 32 times per hour at 100 °C, the temperature distribution within the 116-litre chamber remains uniform, even when heavily loaded with multiple test specimens.

Typical applications

  • Material testing with defined temperature ramps and time programmes
  • Drying of larger quantities of samples and batches of laboratory glassware
  • Long-term tests with stable temperature and air circulation control
  • Heat treatment of material samples in quality assurance and development

For test tasks requiring more internal space than the FP 56 can provide – for example, where several test specimens need to be processed in parallel – the FP 115, with almost double the volume, offers sufficient capacity without compromising on heating rate or temperature accuracy.

Selection guide: choosing the right model size from the FP series

With a capacity of 116 litres, the FP 115 sits between the compact FP 56 and the large-volume FP 260. You can find the full range of this series in the LT Laborhandel range of climate chambers and incubators.

ModelUseful volume, external dimensions (W x D x H), weight
FP 5660 l, 560 x 596 x 622 mm, 41 kg
FP 115116 l, 714 x 636 x 732 mm, 55 kg
FP 260259 l, 810 x 786 x 962 mm, 82 kg

For test tasks where several test specimens are to undergo an identical temperature profile in parallel, but a floor-standing unit is not yet required, the FP 115 offers the best balance of capacity and footprint within the range.

Distinction: FP or M – depending on the level of programming functionality required

With time-interval and real-time programming as well as an Ethernet connection, the FP 115 meets the standard requirements for test programmes. If an internal data logger is also required for comprehensive documentation of quality assurance reports, the Binder M 115 drying and heating cabinet – which is identical in construction – offers an extended range of functions via its touchscreen controller.
