Product information "Binder FP 56 drying and heating cabinet with forced-air circulation and programme functions, 60 l, 9010-0363"
The Binder FP 56 drying oven is a materials testing oven with forced air circulation and programmable functions, designed for short drying times and rapid heating in a very compact space. With a usable volume of 60 litres and a temperature range from 10 °C above ambient temperature up to 300 °C, this compact benchtop unit is suitable for testing and drying tasks where temperature and air circulation need to be controlled over extended periods.
Freely programmable temperature ramps
The additional programme functions and the adjustable fan allow temperature and air circulation conditions to be optimally controlled for complex test tasks. The freely programmable controller, featuring time-segment and real-time programming, enables temperature ramps or jumps with high accuracy, whilst an Ethernet interface integrates the unit into the laboratory infrastructure. The electromechanically controlled exhaust air flap adjusts the air exchange to suit the specific process.
Rapid heating thanks to APT.line technology
At 150 °C, the FP 56 achieves a spatial temperature deviation of 1.4 ± K and a temporal deviation of 0.4 ± K. The heating time to 150 °C is 15 minutes; after the door has been open for 30 seconds, the setpoint temperature is reached again after 4 minutes. With an air change rate of 80 times per hour at 100 °C, the forced-air circulation system ensures rapid, uniform drying results.
Typical applications
- Material testing with defined temperature ramps and time programmes
- Drying of laboratory glassware and small sample quantities
- Short-term heat treatment with pre-programmed test profiles
- Long-term tests with stable temperature and air circulation control
For test sequences requiring a constant combination of temperature and air exchange over several hours or days – for example, when simulating ageing processes – the FP 56 can be programmed once and will then run the stored sequence automatically.
Selection guide: choosing the right size from the FP series
With a capacity of 60 litres, the FP 56 is the most compact model in the FP series. For those requiring more internal space for test specimens or larger batches, the FP 115 and FP 260 offer the next larger sizes with the same programming functions. The complete range of this series can be found in the LT Laborhandel range of climatic chambers and incubators.
| Model | Useful volume, external dimensions (W x D x H), weight |
| FP 56 | 60 l, 560 x 596 x 622 mm, 41 kg |
| FP 115 | 116 l, 714 x 636 x 732 mm, 55 kg |
| FP 260 | 259 l, 810 x 786 x 962 mm, 82 kg |
For test sequences with a manageable sample volume that nevertheless require freely programmable temperature ramps, the FP 56 remains the most space-saving option in the range.
Decision-making guide: FP or M – depending on the level of programming required
If time-interval and real-time programming with an Ethernet connection are sufficient for the test task, the FP 56 is the more economical choice. If a touchscreen controller, an internal data logger for comprehensive documentation or a failsafe function with a backup sensor are also required, the Binder M 56 drying and heating oven – which is identical in construction – offers a more extensive range of functions.
